Shoes are kind of a classic item to accessorize, so honestly, they're kind. I feel bad because I haven't done this yet, so I bought these trucks, they are not trucks, there is some kind of cheap imitation.

I should have gotten some real fans, but as always, I have no confidence that I won't completely screw this up. so I buy pre-made shoes, let's paint some shoes, here they are, they're pretty standard white canvas shoes. The size of my big feet I took tap lessons for eight years. This is what came of this by design. I knew I wanted to do something where the shoes were different from each other but of course still matched. It could be anything. I'm a little lost so clearly there's only one thing to do. I decided on Eustace and Shelly, which are fairly new designs of mine and I felt like they would work well for what I have in mind now. I totally would have used regular duct tape, which I'm sure would have worked fine, but this is super good for this purpose because it has a very strong adhesive, very sticky, sticky, sticky, so it sticks really well to the shoe and it's also quite elastic, so it makes it easier to form the tape around the curves of the shoe, it's time to state the obvious.

I'm taping the sole of the shoe because I don't want to get paint on it, so here's what we do to prevent that from happening. Okay, now these little stretchy areas. I also want to stay clean because I don't think painting over that works very well. Oh, I have something sharp, of course, I didn't have to tape all of this down, I mean, I could choose to avoid these areas. and be careful while I paint, but due to my relentless clumsiness, yes, I think this is the best option to move on to the other shoe, so it's not the cleanest tape job ever done, but it's done again.

I'm going to use Angels. I really hope that's the way to say it, what else could Angels be? No, it's leather paint. I mixed this stuff up about a month ago and it still looks pretty fresh in there. Oh, don't throw them away, starting with one shoe at a time. Eustace first. Has it ever happened to ladies? First I need to prepare a nice Eustis color. This will work since my starting point is that Eustace is not that. Yes, that will work. Now we are ready to paint Eustace. Oh, it doesn't matter, I have to do it. background first idiot, I actually have to start with pink.

I definitely don't regret my decision to cover those edges with duct tape because this would be very problematic without it. One thing I noticed about this paint is that it gets quite dark when it's on. the fabric looked a little dark to me, so I lightened the paint. You like that trick, oh oh, once again, so we have a base color. I'm using a white gel pen to outline my design, which turns out to be a beautiful portrait of Eustace. I slightly changed the shape and proportions of it just a little bit so that it filled that space exactly how I wanted it. he is in a new form.

I decided to add some cross-hatching lines to make it more obvious that I'm trying to match the cone. The tape, although very useful, was a bit distracting because I can't see what it actually looks like. without these big blocks of red everywhere I just can't work with this, okay it's the tape that makes it ugly right, I'm going to go with that, I'll say if you get this paint, try to get the big bottles if you do? Can small bottles have this as a built in brush? It's annoying, let's ignore this one chocolate chip because I have to do the shading first, so I realize about halfway through that this actually wasn't my first time painting shoes.

I thought there were slip-on sneakers, maybe you'll notice that. These are the same original darker versions of the colors I initially used on the other shoe. You remember yeah, deja vu, so here I'm lightening the colors. I'll show you the shoes one at a time, but I was actually painting these. simultaneously, that's why you're fine, it's not important, you can see how the lighter versions of the colors make a pretty significant difference to the overall look.

I just contaminated the yellow casing I used to buy something. This one was a little more tedious because I was going over a darker color with lighter colors, but this process overall was a lot of fun. I don't have shoes that look like this, so it's a little out of place. I understand what I really want. Like them, I like them a lot, I didn't even wear those polka dot shoes once, which is kind of sad because what were they doing all that time? Nothing, I can't let the same thing happen to these, this is my game plan, I guess just wear a really toned down outfit.

Maybe I can take them off and not look like I'm crazy or I could just accept looking crazy. There is also that option. I wear different colored sleeves, I wear different colored shoes, so now I really like this idea because I really love having two things that are exceptionally different but go together, it's very visually satisfying for me. I added stripes to the seam of this shoe because Shelley doesn't have an ice cream cone on her head, she has a cupcake on her head, but the stripes make her look like a weird tan snake, so here they are together for the first time. I'm going to add my signature to the little space. on the top it's like my brand and they're both slightly off center okay we're almost done we just have to go through some red tape just kidding so we can finally see what these shoes look like. the tape worked pretty well, but I didn't stick it perfectly on the line in some places.

Fortunately, paint doesn't stick to rubber very well, so I was able to scrape off most of it and then just touch up the rest. of the mess and now to the last step I'm using this high gloss acrylic finish for professional use not for kids it's a top coat and I'm just going to apply it oh it's a little more watery than I expected why fighting With this, it's not for kids, you're ready to see the transformation. I wish the shoes didn't have that black stripe around the sole. I feel like just a simple white sole would have given them a slightly cleaner look, but that's not the case.
