Fixing Things I've Ruined #2

Jun 02, 2021
Hi, it's me, today I'm doing the second installment on how to fix

things

I messed up. That's right, I've messed up so many

things

that it will take several videos to fix them. It will probably be an endless cycle for us to watch. Looking forward to it, I posted a poll recently and gave you some video options and this video was the most requested by far, although it's a little strange how every time I do a poll it's always the top option that gets the most of votes. It's very suspicious. Are you guys just not reading the rest of the options or am I subconsciously entering the best option first?

It's just a complete coincidence. This is why statistics can never be trusted. Something strange always happens. I also noticed that three of my last four videos have I've been

fixing

things I made

fixing

my old artwork I made fixing your softies now I'm fixing things I

ruined

I'm on a rampage okay anyway these are some of the things I've

ruined

we have some of the Same as the last video, a lot of Hydro Dip stuff, some new faces here, victim of thumbnail creation right there, you can notice this girl, if you know my channel you recognize her, she is known as the face of failure here because I made a terrible mistake. in your paint job and since this is the most well-known failure on my channel, many of you wanted me to fix it in this series, it is not that simple because I sanded it so that the paint has adhered very well and the paint that is there has Lots of lumps and just no way to fix it.

More Interesting Facts About,

I would have to go over it and it would still be lumpy and we would have the same result again. That being said, I want to give the people what they want. order it, so I have a little surprise for you. I bought another one of these squishies and I'm going to make it again. I'm very nervous. If I screw up twice, then there's really no excuse, there really isn't, so this. This is how I'm going to start this video, let's do it like this in the original video where I first painted the squishy side note, the colors are very different from the original squishy I used for this one, I've already talked at length about its many shortcomings. including her fish lips and huge perfectly circular and incredibly creepy fish eyes, I think the bulging eyeballs are really to blame for what happened to this girl because I kept trying to make them look less scary, obviously without success and due to my inability to stop him, this is my Failure, I ended up creating a very unattractive mess all over his face.

By the way, the reason it looks different now than in the original video is because I tried to repaint her face off camera, so we have four different versions of this floater. around the soft original the original after the makeover the original after the makeover but I slightly altered the new one before the makeover and now I'm going to create the new thing after the makeover that's not confusing at all Are we done yet? Honestly, it would be nice, but never. I'm talking about it again, but since some of you have been harassing me about it to try again, here we are, my first step, I'm going to remove the fish lips, I've done it once, I'll do it again, They have to go.

I'm also flattening parts of her outfit just because I want to alter her style. There's been some discussion about cutting off her eyeballs, but I'm really trying to avoid adding too much texture to her face and I'm not doing that. I only know a hunch, but I think cutting off his eyeballs and then having to patch huge eye sockets will probably cause some pretty gnarly scars. Bug eyes are here to stay, welcome. Hello, now I'm going to go over all these difficult spots with a good coat. of swollen paint to try to patch them wow deja vu she already looks like my sister hope that's not a bad sign oh and this is where I realized I forgot to sand her what the hell have I forgotten everything I know this really should have been?
I did this before painting any type of paint. Going back to the patching process, like I made that sound effect myself. I added many thin coats of paint to get the smoothest surface possible. Now, aren't you glad she's fixing you up right? You're in good hands now honey Jordan, she just walked into the room. I panic. I'm adding a clean coat of white fabric paint to give us a nice fresh start. Eliminate everything creepy. Actually, somehow, this thing still looks pretty creepy. uh oh, back, nice transition, I really like both the outfit and the hair of my original design, it looks like her ghost, it's like chasing her, okay, now that I'm older, although I like that my old design just painted the same again.
It will really be boring for me and possibly for you too, how are you? I don't know, I won't speak for you, but I'd be bored, so I'm going to change it completely, so I'll half-do his hair. bright pink and bright orange I really admire people who rock colorful hair because I don't think I could do it because my hair grows super fast so I would end up having to maintain it constantly, I just can't do it. I sign up for that currently my hair routine is to wash it uh and some days I brush it.
I'd rather spend time ruining perfectly good squishies and doing the other very important things I do on this channel. Time to paint the skin. The original is a little too desaturated. I hope this is an improvement and this is the point where I was legitimately getting nervous because the time to paint his face is like getting closer and closer. Well, it's time to paint his face. Can't. Can't. It's not okay, it's okay, it's okay, I'm going to try to give it eyelids, yeah, again, I'll do it again. I'm not expecting a masterpiece here. I'll be happy just creating something that isn't scary, that's all.
I ask, it's not much, the lips in the original were just atrocious, so I'm completely simplifying it to just a cartoon smiley face, let's see if I can get that finishing touch, the reflections in his eyes and there he still looks like a muppet. Well, I have no idea, is this what you guys wanted. Oh, and look who's here to gloat, shut up. Well, I added some eyebrows which really helped significantly. In my opinion, they made her much cuter, so now we move on to the rest. body, first I'm filling in her skin on her arms and legs and then it's time to dress her, of course her outfit is going to match her hair naturally, I realize I don't wear orange much, uh, it's kind of careless. color for me but I was trying to branch out a little bit so that's what orange is about and your whole outfit is going to be like the half and half feel which I think is cool no yeah I said cool what is the problem here?
I particularly like how he has two different colored shoes. I'm adding some white accents to break up the very saturated colors and give it a little more finished look by adding some laces, girl this is not a good angle for you. here we have it, it's finished, I honestly have no idea how you guys will feel about this, will you think it's better than the original or as bad or even worse than the original? All I can say is I did my best, maybe go easy on me. because I only made it for you, okay this is for you, personally, I think it's better than the original, the paint job is cleaner, her skin is nice and soft, out of all the human squishy I've made, she is my favorite. said at best still a little creepy maybe it's creepy in a cute way yeah depending on how you look at it this could be my first double flop hello flop we meet again I think it's time to go back to our options table here, I think next one I'm going to choose this one, this is a failed dip paint palette, it's actually not that terrible, it just has very uneven coverage and the colors get muddy in too many places for me, I'm not really feeling it, You know?
I just think it could be better, let's get to it, so yeah, I'm painting another paint palette. I have done this before. I actually think this hydro bath looks much better on camera, it's very photogenic or videogenic, but when I see it in person. Annoying me the first thing I have to figure out is how to remove this clumpy spray paint from the surface. Yes, in typical form, I couldn't remove the protective plastic before painting it. How many times have I made this mistake? I think I've lost count. time, I'm actually grateful, I might as well be a genius because now my job is a lot easier, that was a bad idea, okay, you were stupid again, now clean that up and it floats on the screen, that's plaster, there goes it .
What I have to do here is gesso. I plan to paint over the reflection of my ring light first because it was distracting and yes, gesso gesso. It was all a wonderful color moment, so I chose a light blue for the background on this, so I'm just covering the entire blue palette, so now a blank sheet of paper will appear behind it. I told them that I'm basically going to use this to sketch out my design because it's easier to draw on paper than on paper. a painted surface I'm going to draw something that occurred to me during one of my recent videos.
I recently made a dragon fruit themed shell. I made the connection between the inside of a dragon fruit and a Dalmatian, so from there I decided that the only logical thing to do with that information is to create a new character that is a Dalmatian inside a dragon fruit. I'm turning it over and pulling out a very scary thing. I literally made six foot long drawings in charcoal because I had it but I can't stand the way it feels, it gives me heavy GVs. I imagine having the JV heavy for an entire semester, but today I'm using it very quickly, right on the back of my sketch so I can transfer it to the painting. palette I'm pretty sure there is a type of transfer paper that is used just for this purpose, but I don't currently have it, so this is just what we're doing, maybe I should get that transfer paper.
I'm going to drain this design. Please inform yourself about this term. I recently saw one of the words I made up in a video on Urban Dictionary. I don't know who added that, but thanks, let's wear that out too. I didn't want to leave the fund completely. empty, but I also didn't want anything to distract from my character here, so I decided to just create some colorful stripes to guide your gaze, like I complained about the last time I painted a dragon fruit theme. Dragon fruits are a bit complicated. I don't want it to be too busy, so I was trying to include as many details as I could without cramming too much, since I love poscas.
Sometimes I have problems with paint cracking, so I'm breaking up my old paint and I'm going to go over that and that will fix the cracking. I'm not exactly sure what the cause is, possibly from applying the paint too thick or simply adding too many coats. You can see that this design ended up changing quite a bit. from my original sketch because I wanted more of the puppy to be seen, so sometimes an idea will come to me and I think it's very original, but then I Google it and it turns out that someone has already done something similar.
It's a terrible feeling I Googled Dragon. dalmatian fruit and I haven't seen a single picture like this and that makes it special so I really wanted to name it but I don't want to go with something basic like specks all specks are kinda cute if you have an idea for a name comment below I'll choose my favorite options and then I will enter them in a poll in the community tab and whoever wins, that will be their name, finally I will add the black stripe to the background, I don't know why I waited until the end to do some touch-ups, some cleanups, sign it and It looks pretty good now, but if you look closely there are quite a few places where we have some cracks, I just can't deal with it, so what do I do?
To fix it is to take some varnish pour it here move it there wet my brush I have to stop narrating every detail the varnish itself is not going to fix the cracks but once it dries you can go over any of the affected areas again. I don't know if there is a better way to deal with this. I just fixed it the only way I knew how and then finally went over all of that with another clear coat and here is the final result. I definitely like this paint palette better. now what it was oh it's so cute, it's like an idea out of nowhere and it may look a little random on my paint palette display wall but I'm satisfied, happy to have brought this idea to light I'm also love the color combination, love it, okay, and the last thing I'm going to pick up is another failed hydro dipping thing, this one is really bad, the paint that's still here is really dirty and ugly, but for the most part.
It's falling apart, we have to fix this. I'm pretty sure most of you wanted me to choose the Russian doll because who wouldn't want to paint that? I only have a week to make each video, so I'm definitely not going to have time to paint all of this, this might have to be its own video, so let's go with the little pot. My first task is to try to remove all the paint, soI had to take out a scraper and this. It's the best part oh look at that fat chunk so cool the rest wasn't so cooperative it looks much more satisfying in the sped up version but in reality it was a very long process, very messy, very little fun with very slow progress and many variations, but in the end I managed it and they more or less took all that paint off and here is the mess, it's like garbage confetti when you vacuum it up, although that was quite satisfactory, so I want to avoid my new paint job from having the same fate as the one the last one so I haveI took out this box that is rarely used.
This is what I need. Thank you. I don't even really know what else is here. I'm using this scrubber to try to scrape off as much of the remaining paint as possible. the outermost layer of the plastic that gives us a slightly better surface to paint on. I want to let you know that I have a huge, really exciting product launch and we are doing a giveaway with some of these items. All you have to do to enter is sign up for the store's mailing list. The link to the website will be in the description. If you sign up for that list, you can also shop three hours before everyone else.
All of this will be released. officially next Friday, but the website will reveal a new product every day starting August 10. Okay, I'm done scrubbing this and now I'm just wiping it down to remove any excess dust. Okay, I think it's ready to paint. changing cameras and I'm going to use spray paint, come here, oh don't mess with that, put it back on, honestly I don't really like spray paint, it's better to use it outdoors and I hate having to film outdoors, so I'm going to cheat a little on this, ready, oh wow, look at that, that was cool.
Okay, flip it over and get some white paint. Now here comes my sketch and my pen. Oh snap, now don't feel cheated into missing out on the spray painting process. I didn't really miss anything good just the wind blowing this several times and then sticking to the bottom of the tarp and then a literal storm coming out of nowhere and filling the container with water. I feel like spray paint is kind of More trouble than it's worth, sure I hated every moment of it, but whatever it's painted on now, I've put a lot of time and effort into my designs for this video so far, I'm just going to do something a little more simplistic and just you know, just relax, it's time for me to finish the first layer for the second, oh, perfect, I'm doing great with the transitions today.
Am I making decent art? It's debatable, but stupid little transitions yes, those are happening today. Now I'm going to review and try to add some. dimension of these with a brighter red, keep in mind this was like a 99 cent bathroom organizer so the fact that I'm putting so much time and effort into decorating it is interesting okay we don't always need to make something huge o I spent a lot of money to have fun and be creative, we can enjoy the simple things. I added some highlights which of course really bring it to life. The highlights are the best part of every project, I swear, and little green stems that looked a little too flat, so I tried to give them a little dimension, added my signature, made it a design element, like this that I repeated it as if it were a pattern.
It feels a little narcissistic to write to me about something, um. but those are just my initials okay I added several thick coats of varnish here and here is the final transformation it's very simple but it's cute I think I have two other containers like this so I'm wondering if I should do the other two in the same way. kind of a matching style that would be really cute, although it's a bad habit to keep saying random ideas I have in my videos. I have probably expressed so many ideas that perhaps I have never been able to express.
One of these days I can go back and watch all my videos and write down every stray idea I came up with and then I'll do them all. I really hope you enjoyed this video, especially those of you who voted. so in the poll I'm really happy with all of these yeses, even you and I definitely had fun with them so thank you all so much for watching and I'll see you next week bye.
