I'm using a mix of both because I feel like why not and then we have our vanilla extract and whatever. more and we'll use a lot of Big Red Daddy, our stand mixer, you don't have to call Big Red Daddy, that's just my name, the stand mixer will help us do what we need to do here. today you also know that I have a friend who likes to dip Oreos in water you know who you are and I'm not going to say you're wrong but you're not right and if you want to make these roses and then different water just don't tell me about it, You know, I mean make them and then dip them in private.

I'll let it pass even though it's an Aries anyway, we'll start with the dry ingredients, we'll prepare this bowl. As an aside, stay there, we're going to mix and beat our dry ingredients, we're going to start with our all-purpose flour, a little bit of spandex, then we're going to make Hershey's special dark cocoa powder, this you have to get the special kind, okay, it's that's so special, this is special, don't ruin that part. I'm going to pour that in here making our Oreo cookie dough here and we have baking soda and baking powder what's the difference.
I don't know who would know. then the salt so we're going to whisk this up and then we're going to set it aside while we start with our wet ingredients and then we're going to mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and we're going to be all kinds of. of dry and wet, you know where my beaters are, so let's mix it well and it will look like a light brown when it's all mixed together, the flours will lighten the cocoa powder, it already smells like Oreo cookies. We're already cracking the code, so we'll put this aside and it says we'll use the paddle attachment, which I'm 99% sure is not wrong.
I think this is the dough hook, but I don't think so. I know where it is. I don't know if I have one, maybe you can confirm or deny that I have one from past episodes, but I don't know if I have the paddle accessory. I think I have this one in the whisk attachment anyway. we're going to use this one because it's all we have, we're going to bring our big red daddy here and we're going to start adding what's going to be the wet part of the cookie dough here, the first thing we're going to do is we're going to take room temperature butter and we're going to beat it with the sugars, which is our brown sugar and our granulated white sugar.
We put this sucker here and I'm going to put it on a decently high setting. okay, nothing's broken or mangled yet while this is mixing, but you're going to grab our new little whisk that I'm so happy to have now and we're going to add a little bit of water to our egg replacer. Check out this double mix. so efficient here so damn efficient, okay, it's literally not even touching the bottom now, so we're going to pour in the egg mixture, which is the equivalent, I think, of one or one and a half, we're going to make some of our milk. of oats here and then a little bit of vanilla and then let's mix again.
I'm going to take a spatula and guide this all towards the center so it mixes, maybe the right mixing attachment would be good for this, but again, We're not here to do things right, we're here to do things by a long time. I'm going to leave this up for a second and just let it go. Now we will add all of our dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. I'm just going to throw this all out here. I don't really mind adding it gradually and let's start mixing. I'm going to go in here with a spatula again to help it mix.
I really feel like we're hurting ourselves here with this dough attachment, but it's all good, you know, a little more milk, okay, this is starting to look good, honey, uh, yeah. I'm going to tease the stand mixer a little bit while I like the spatula in its way, like this, if this stand mixer was a person I'd be yelling at right now, okay, buddy, I think we're ready to put these things in the cookie, sorry, big daddy, here we have our cooking tray, take the vanilla out of the frame, no. one said you can be in the chamber, open this suction cup and this is what we have, it's a little hard to see because it's like chocolate, but we have our dough, so we're going to take about a tablespoon of tablespoons.
In fact, I have this nice and handy plastic scoop. oh no, this is wet, no, no, wait, what's all this, oh, you're going to make sure it's dry because we can't have a wet pan, we already have our cooking tray ready and now we're going to grab our spoonfuls. little. this is what something neat will look like, it looks like a small scoop of ice cream. We will simply shape it into a cookie. Oh what a great feeling, this will take a while, about the size of a quarter roll. a ball, oh, okay, then we don't even need to flatten it, it will flatten itself, okay, I'm done, boom, easy, I should try a little bit for science, oh, it's disgusting, literally, just kidding, it's the coolest thing delicious that has ever existed.
Well, this is maybe. a good time where we can, I don't know, check out what's been going on with you guys lately. I've been thinking about making cookies and Oreos, so I'm doing that right now. What about you guys, since these are taking a while? A little love and time. I'm really

trying

to make sure there's a fairly identical size, otherwise the Oreos won't look right. I might also make a couple different sizes because I don't know exactly how much they will stretch. When they are baked, so if I make them all one size, I rely on that measurement, whereas if I can make the top row this size and then the row below, maybe a little smaller just in case, also if I I wonder if we don't serve fried chicken or meth here.
I'm sorry for disappointing you. Okay, well, I'll just roll out cookie dough here for a while, try my best to make something happen, and hopefully at the end of all this you'll have a little snack to eat, also fun fact: if you're vegan, the Oreo cookies are good, you don't need to do anything, you don't need to make them yourself, which is really fun, there's no gluten. free, so I have to enjoy them somewhere else where you can't enjoy, that's my role, me first, be like, give me the joy, okay, we just released how many did we release? 5 10 15 20 25 30 30 Oreos cookies, so that should make us 15 Oreos in total.
I also misread the instructions. You also bake them for six to seven minutes to make them a little softer. If you want them crispier or more crumbly, you can cook them a little longer and it also makes 36 halves and 18 cookies in total, but we came up short because we left little in the bowl because we ran out of space here anyway we have our cookies ready to bake this is very exciting they smell good they look good they taste good now I just need to turn these into Oreos, so let's put this in the oven and while we're doing that, we'll make the filling.
I bought the boy with the mustaches some whiskey. I want some whiskey. Okay, six to seven minutes. Hey. Six minute Alexa timer, hey Google timer, six minutes can never be too safe baby, we're going to get wet, we're not dipping the vegetables, we're dipping our cream, filling whatever you want to call the inside of the Oreos. Ingredients ready, it will be delicious, let's drink. our shortening coconut oil pop that first and our butter and we're going to make a kind of preliminary cream mmm no, no, that's not good, no, that's okay, that was very fast too quick note, not that you need to hear it, but if you are I'm going to use similar equipment to make the cookies.
I see where the filling is. Make sure you rinse very well because you don't want chocolate in the filling, otherwise it will alter the presentation and the color you want it to have. that white cream filling that we all know and love and then hate ourselves, so now we're going to add the vanilla, oh oh, a little bit of milk, think like a tablespoon and then just a boatload of sugar that we'll add as we go. We move forward here. because I don't want to overwhelm him. Big Reds has a lot of work to do here.
I'm going to turn up the volume. Oh honey, it's okay, I'm just going to scrape the sugar off the sides so we have enough. Let's see there. This, oh my gosh, this looks delicious, it looks so rich and creamy I'm really going to make it nice and fluffy with it up high, oh my gosh, I'm so excited, this is just the beautiful thing right here, we've transcended the next level of doing it is also okay, get out of your big red, your services are no longer needed this is very nice, it's just I mean you want some, here you go, just take a full bite, it's good for you, there is no calories, there are like five, but seriously this looks delicious and I'm happy about it and excited, but instead of resisting the temptation that you and I probably have too to just take a big bite of this, we're I'll put it in a sleeve pastry maker and we're going to pipe it, okay, so you guys questioned me about how I did it last time because apparently I piped it wrong, so the way you want to do it is by cutting a little bit. hole like the tip of this thing oh thank you Alexa Thank you Google thank you both it's good to know that you're both thinking about me hey Alexa, stop it, hey Google, stop it - geez, it's okay, that's not it, they're not done.
They are not going to get off. I'm going to start preparing. I'm going to press them down a little bit because they're not going to go down on their own and I'm going to make sure to leave the oven open while you're doing this so all the heat can escape and then. baking temperature is completely wrong I need this win I need this win here okay, I've had a lot of failed desserts lately. I'm going to touch each of these a little bit to help them get back into the oven. oven they say oh God, so you're going to stick the tip of the pipe into the bag, which I didn't do last time, I just broke it, okay, whatever, anyway we're going to paddle the pipe, paddle the pipe, the band name called it, okay? definitely put a hole in this thing, everything is fine now, okay, that will do, that will do for now, okay, so we have to wait until the very delicate cookies finish doing their business, hanging out together, warming up For they are probably on vacation there, they will all die soon and we will get them out.
We're going to have to let them cool a little bit so the filling doesn't completely melt and everything falls apart, so I'm going to grab it. those come out when they're done and I'll see you when they arehave cooled. See you and you look great. I'm just kidding you're already the coolest so I took this one out of the oven to try it out and see how it would hold up when it cools a little bit and it's definitely firming up so I think they're ready look what we have here. This is a nice little tray of cookies, if I do say so myself, anyway, we're going to put them on a rack.
Look this easy, should I do that trick with the tablecloth? It would definitely be a good idea, right? If we do this manually, we will slide them onto the rack. The rack will really allow them to cool on both sides and you'll want to be gentle with them when moving them to the rack because they are still soft and pretty brittle at this point they are already cracking which I think is probably just the gluten free dough ok , we're going to make it, that's all that matters, we're literally making Oreos, if we do this, it's okay because we still have something resembling an Oreo to eat and look at, so everyone wins.
Here are our cookies, they are still warm. We just need to be patient. Do they have karbala? Some patience. I'm out, no. Have a little patience, meek, I have a little, can you venme me? a little patience, literally, we just have to wait for them to cool. I'm going to put the rest of the piping or filling in the piping bag, hurry up, hurry up, open, cool, wait. In a second, oh my goodness, could you see that our Oreos have completely cooled down? Okay, so the first one I'll do will be a double. I have never eaten anything double for you.
I don't know the feeling of biting. in an Oreo and having double or triple or much more filling just extra filling to bite into that to me is a luxury, it is the greatness that we all strive to experience in life. I'm the kind of person who gives me extra sauce. If I feel like some fries, give me some extra sauce for the fries. I just like, you know, salsa and I feel like this is the dessert version of salsa. The filling of an Oreo, give me more of that, give me more. Well, this one. It completely broke this one told you I'm done we're going to have to be very nice with these I don't know what else I've tried everything I can't speed up time hurry up and cool down it's time to put together our homemade Oreos here we have a cooling rack full of cookies of chocolate completely cooled to temperature our plate is right here we have our pastry bag and we're really going to try to do this.
I mean, you're supposed to turn it over so it's on the smooth side and oh God, oh God, it's coming out on top. Oh God, our piping bag is too full, okay, let's empty some pipes and make a bell so we have breathing room at the top because this is too much too. full now our hands are completely dirty let's try to put the lid on let's put this on top fill the piping bag nobody ever told me not to fill the piping bag too much damn and here we have our homemade Oreo it's already sliding completely but it's an Oreo, It's like melting.
I don't know why I feel like we should put them in the refrigerator because it's like it oozes out the sides when it really shouldn't. I'm going to put this one on the counter because it's a little messy and we're going to try it again, this time we're going to use a little less filler just to try to make it look like a who goes out and destroys himself, here we go, we did a baby Oreo, I can't believe it, okay I bite it now or refrigerate it, that's good, what the hell okay, so here's the deal?
I think we should make a plate and flash freeze them for ten minutes. minutes so they don't go to waste because the cookies aren't warm at room temperature, but something about the filling is like it's coming out the sides, so I'm going to fill this plate with some Oreo cookies and put them in the freezer. The freezer trick works. perfectly, it's like hardening the filling here are two regular Oreos, now tell me which one you want, okay, oh hello, how come even dogs like it? This is so good, isn't it a bomb? Yeah, I mean, the texture is different in the cookie.
Obviously, but the filling is so tasty. What is an Oreo? Do you like it. Wow, you know, what's crazy is that this might be the first time I've made something that looks potentially better than the original. What is this? Get out of here. You talk to the guy, she tells you don't worry about these, I have that car, some fake Oreos, I made it for her, you just know, I was thinking, I really enjoy making the snacks, like the chips, the cheese, their things like Why don't we make a dessert, one of those about something I can't enjoy when you feel like you should enjoy it?
Yes, they came out very good. No complaints, the cookies kept pretty well, I just freeze them quickly. them for the filling to harden we have to get rid of these some now I did it to him she is here this is not a recipe for the buzz in your room okay there is a lot of chocolate involved get out of here Roomba is not here there is no chocolate For you she says yes, yes, give me poison, poison me, poison. I think it's safe to say we did it to him because I mean, this is just like I said.
It's really surprising how much it worked in terms of how it held the ingredients together. It works and tastes really great and she said she tastes like Oreo. I mean, I went up to believe him. Now I can pack them up and enjoy them in my free time. I'll pack them up and enjoy them all day long. It's healthier that way. Anyway, we made Oreos. I'm not sure if I could leave you with some parting words. You know, we had to do it to him. Here's your bite. I won't forget that you have a bite. Have a bite.
It was good? They bite well, that's fine, the rest is mine. I'll see you next week, thanks for watching.
