The Most Secure Bunker in Minecraft

May 31, 2021
I love a good

bunker

, I don't hide it and I also love security systems. In fact, some of my first Redstone videos I made on this YouTube channel were of several different security systems, so I thought I'd combine the couple of these things and create The Most Secure Bunker I Can Build in Minecraft. Now, one of the easiest ways to make something safe to begin with is to hide it fun enough, so let's build a super simple secret entrance that will hold this. something hidden, which I'll be honest, isn't that exciting. You guys have seen me do this many times, so if we just place a redstone torch here that will break, our gate will open and we will travel.

that we are going to build, this one will be dedicated to color combination locks. Now these color combination locks will have to be incredibly compact to fit in the space I've given them. they, I mean, look at this, we're going to have to have them, well, they're going to have to be oh wow, okay, so they're literally going to be next to each other because you need a, you need a piston tape for the real one. it colors the things you can see and then you need another piston tape that tells the machine where you really are on the piston tape, it's like it's the brains behind it.

More Interesting Facts About,

the most secure bunker in minecraft...

I'll explain it a little more when we have them. instead, but first I have to build them and that's going to be difficult because, like I said, they have to be directly next to each other, they're two blocks wide and they can't feed off each other, so they have to be completely independent of each other. Yeah. each other and it's hard this is all I've done and I don't want to tell you how much time I've spent doing it I finally got it working so I'm just filling my cauldrons this is the brain circuit here and then on the other side we have the color circuit, this is the one that you can actually see now, when we press this button here, you can see that everything revolves around it.
the most secure bunker in minecraft
I didn't actually test it with all the colors in place, but it looks like everything is working, so if we get something like a comparator working outside of the brain circuit, then you'll be able to see that that comparator is currently on and we're going to keep pressing the button. until this piece of glass moves in front of the dialer and then you can see the dialer go off and that means you have the right combination for this combination lock module now obviously when you chain all four together. These together, how many blocks do we have? 12.
the most secure bunker in minecraft
We have 12 blocks per combination lock. When these four modules are chained together, we will have 20,736 possible combinations in this room alone and it would take a long time to figure them out. brute force, right? So let's build the rest of them and I think we can all agree that this setup looks pretty bad, especially on the inside of the room, very, very nice, okay, let's move on to this room here now, as you can see . We have some frames of items on the wall. This will be an element frame combination lock. Each of these has eight possible combinations.
There are four. Let me do some calculations. 4096 possible combinations for this configuration that match our color combination locks. gives us five million three hundred eight thousand four hundred and sixteen possible combinations so far, that's quite a lot, that's already a lot of possible combinations and the best thing about these combination hits is that they are really very simple, this circuit here is practically all the logic you can see . We have one of these circuits for each of our element frames and this yellow circuit just connects all of those and all it does is give an output when you are in the correct position of the element frame, so currently all of these element frames they are in the correct position, this is the position and the way you set the position is by placing this element frame one position before where you want the actual position to be made Sense, I think it made sense, so this position of here is a position before this, if I were to right click on this element frame one more time, it would go to this position.
I think everyone understands, knows how much I'm really enjoying my old school. combination locks right now, I think we're just going, let's go old school, let's, let's leave a combination hit, so this is 2 to the power of 12, which is 4096 once again, which means that now we've reached a number that I can' What I read is that 2 billion 174 million three no no 21 billion 743 million 271 936 possible combinations in three rooms, we have done it in three rooms and for the four people who don't know how to build a combination lock lever, this this is this is what it is um they are so incredibly simple these are some of the first redstone circuits that I worked on if you want the lever to be down then you have a redstone torch behind it if you want the lever to be down up so you have redstone dust behind you so this is the correct combination for this combination lock here you can see we have a redstone exit moving forward once again and I say let's go down one floor I know this is not It's really the focus of the video, but I really like how this bunker comes together.
I really like the blocks I chose to use it with. It just looks like a James Bond Mi5 style bunker. I guess so. I imagine this is under some secret. building somewhere in London, and it's also worth mentioning that originally it was going to have doors between each room, so once you completed the combination of one of the rooms, the doors would open, but then I realized that the combinations do not stack. because it's like you have 20,000 possible combinations here, if you somehow manage to crack them then you know it's complete, whereas if you stack all the combination locks and they all hit a door then you have a stacked combination if that makes any sense sorry this video has been a lot math based and I think that will stop after this clip because the numbers have gotten astronomical.
You see these three drippers right here, they don't look anything special. These three items in my inventory, although they have strange names, are nothing particularly exciting, but this is what we need to place each of these items here on the droppers, all three need to be correct and when we press that button here. that will activate a part of the circuit on the back that tells the system that we have entered the correct combination now, if you take a look at these items, the player trying to open this lock not only has to choose the correct items in Minecraft for the three droppers, which is quite difficult, but they also have to guess the correct name of these elements, which at that point you know that you are talking about more possible combinations than there are particles in the universe and, if you were, if you tried. and find out for yourself, you'd probably be here until the end of the universe and then some, so I think it's safe to say things are pretty safe now, but I'll continue just because it's a pretty interesting next step.
I have a rhythm key. This is a concept I came up with many years ago on my YouTube channel. I can remember recording the video. It's like a vague, faded memory, but the idea is that it's a combination lock that doesn't just require. You have to get the combination right, but you have to play them at the right time, hence the rhythm segment, so I just have to figure out how to build this. Plus, things are getting pretty tight in the Redstone department. Here we'll see if I can time this perfectly, so it says this, this, this, okay, so Redstone's torch went out and that means we have the right combination, so I'm just going to connect that circuit to some form of flip- flop that will turn on and stay on once we've hit that combination once.
Oh, and in case you're wondering how this works, it relies entirely on repeater timing, so the idea is that you want all Redstone signals to reach the gate and the end. at exactly the same time, for example, this one here has the longest delay, I think it's 20 redstone ticks, which means you press it first because it will obviously take the longest to get to the end, while this one has the smallest. delay of only four Redstone ticks so you press that last one and you have to press them at the right rate so that all the signals reach the end and you shoot this Redstone torch anyway into the next room and in this one we had to go down a little bit because the color combination locks are very large so I think this is a good opportunity to also have a ladder going down there to add another layer to our bunker but I'm thinking this is our lectern combination lock room .
Each of these stands can have 15 possible combinations because there are 15 different signal strengths they can emit depending on the page of the book you are on. Although I said we're not going to do numbers anymore, it's 50. There are 625 possible combinations just for this room and the red stone behind it is very similar to what we did before with the element frame, so if we take a look at these lecterns here, you can see that I'm on the correct pages for each one. one of the selections which is page 10 page 11 page 12 page 13 goes like this and we only have one placeholder written inside each of the pages, which was notoriously difficult to think of, by the way, to think of a lot of elements randoms is actually very complicated, but If we look at this Redstone line back here, you can see that on the right page that Redstone line went out, the Redstone torch lit, which of course means we have the right combination for this specific room, we move on and I.
I'm thinking about this one here, we have al

most

like a pattern based combination lock, so once it's pretty similar to the color combination look that we started with, but it's going to be a pattern along this wall and It will work horizontally. It's going to be interesting to try to build and try to fit within this area here, in fact, you know what I'll be honest, it was pretty straightforward to be honest with you, if we get to the bottom of it down here, you can see that working if we get to this superior. I was just about to say that I haven't actually tried it and that always bites me in the back, so now that the inputs are actually implemented you can see that everything is working.
Well, now it's time to start incorporating colors once again. These are the brain circuits. These are the things that control information. The colored bits are just the things we can see and let's be honest, they look pretty cool. They are especially when we start to move them very well. I'm going to need to remember what the combination is. I've completely forgotten about it. This is not good and I will tell you what else is not good. Now we have a We have a big job ahead of us, you see, here is our bunker in all its glory and here is all the red stone and all this red stone needs to be connected to create one big smooth circuit, oh boy, the

most

complicated thing about this is that some of these have the right combination some of them don't, for example this one doesn't have the right combination so it should give an output.
This one has the right combination, so it shouldn't give an output. which is not this has the right combination there is no output okay that signal is then sent down through the layers in this area here it is giving an output this shouldn't shouldn't be giving an output because this is not the right combination Oh Oh my goodness, I'm getting quite confused, I mean, quite some time later, I think we might be ready to go, so let's get on with this, first things first, we actually need to open this place and travel inside now that we have it.
I have. set all the combination locks so that they don't require too much intervention on my part to get the correct combination because this is a tricky thing to remember even for me so each of them just needs to be set to blue and pink okay there come on, so that's the correct combination right now, each of these should be pointing towards the left corner, so everything should be correct, this combination should be something as simple as this fantastic. Now if we go down to this layer here, we have the three elements that we need to put on the inside of our droppers, so these are little identification keys so that it goes in there and goes in there, okay, that should have that. activated that part of the system, so so far we're on a winner, now we have to do the rhythm key, which is this, this, oh, okay, it didn't go well, let's try it again, this, this, this Oh, my words.
I'm so bad at pressing the buttons ready this this this we get there in the end I really need to work on my rhythm and aim anyway going down to this layer now we have to get past this one to be monitored one needs to be painted, this one ofhere should be the roof and this here should be the door and then if we shoot down, we need to press this button once we transfer them and we need brown on the top right. corner and there we go, our doors just opened giving us access to our bunker, yeah, um, I mean, okay, I'll level you if I had spent many, many billion years trying to figure out that combination, probably not already, Actually, billions and only so many years to break that combination if the doors finally opened and this was in the chest, I guess I don't know what I would do, I mean what would you do?
I'll leave you to discuss that in the comments section because Unfortunately, that's what I have time for today. I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you in the next video. See you. You know, filming this video has been a lot of fun because it has taken me back to the early days of my life. youtube channel that especially discusses the ridiculous combinations that come up when you build combination locks, you know, going to billions rather than trillions, it's always a nice feeling, it's cool, I love this kind of stuff, I'm a nerd all the way ruler.
