The Blood Countess [ Elizabeth Bathory ] And Her Reign Of Terror | Mystery & Makeup | Bailey Sa

Jun 05, 2021
Isabel trusted them. I'm sure they did it because they would probably be murdered if they didn't. Isabel and her collaborators had no mercy on these young women. For them it was simply something to do to pass the time; something they did for entertainment and satisfaction. So what was most consistently described, when it came to murders, included severe beatings, okay? Burns or mutilations of the hands, bites... That's right. Biting the flesh of the face, arms and other parts of the body. Sometimes they simply froze or starved their victims to death. One victim had part of his chest bitten off.

Yes, Elizabeth bit her tit, and then the victim was forced to cook and eat her own tit... Meat, her own flesh. Isabel was famous for “sticking pins and needles under the nails” of her victims. For some victims who had been badly beaten and who were clinging to life, Elizabeth would cover them, cover the body, cover the victim with honey, tie them to a table, and then take this; and then all the ants and bees would come in, slowly torturing, biting, stinging and going to town on this person who is covered in honey. That's a different level of crazy.

Elizabeth has a different level of crazy. She is a crazy creative. Where it's like "Where did you think of that? Okay." From time to time, Elizabeth used red-hot irons, coins, and even keys to leave deep burn marks on her victims, and she also did so on her nether regions. Many women... This is a side note. Many women don't like to be called crazy. Like not to call a lady crazy, but I think it's safe to say Elizabeth was crazy, okay? Like Elizabeth, what are you doing? I don't think... How did he come up with these things to do, you know?

Elizabeth's devious crimes have led historians to believe that they were sexually motivated, but no one knows for sure what exactly led Elizabeth to become this horrible, disturbed bitch. I said it, she's a bitch. She is like a ghost that she would be afraid of. Don't come for me. Most assume that she committed such horrible crimes for pure sadistic pleasure. So Elizabeth would lure these girls into her little room, right? And it just, it really depended on her mood what they were going to get. Like what we are going to get; An iron or was she going to eat them?

That? Surprise me! You know, it was like you never knew. And then, once she was done, she drained the victims'

blood

from her, poured it into a cup, added just a slice of lime, and drank it. I'm joking about the lime, but she drank the

blood

of her victims. Again, it is believed that she was drinking her blood because it could help her with her epilepsy, but she also believed that it would keep her young and youthful, healthy, vibrant, beautiful, you know? So she was drinking a lot of blood, it can't be good. As a result of her frequent and intense cannibalism, Elizabeth Bathory earned the nicknames both “Countess of Blood” and “Countess Dracula.” That is a good one.
It's not good because it's a true story. I still can't believe this is real, you know? When I was reading this whole story I thought, "No, really?" She just hadn't heard of someone so crazy in a long time. I think the last time we heard something this crazy was like Ed Gein, at this level. Between 1590 and 1610, Elizabeth was responsible for kidnapping, torturing and murdering hundreds of girls. In one of her private diaries, Elizabeth claimed to have claimed more than 650 victims over the course of 20 years. Do you understand that? 650 victims? She practically got rid of the entire city.
I mean, for years, and years, and years, Elizabeth was committing these horrible crimes, and Elizabeth really felt untouchable. "I'm in charge here." Know? I mean she was doing it, she had been doing it for 20 years and she was getting away with it because they couldn't really tell her anything. Her family's status in the local government meant that, for the most part, she could fly under the radar and not face consequences for her actions, because you know; "I know people." Then, in 1610, Elizabeth had become bored again with the victims she was currently having. They were "too easy." She wanted victims with a higher social status, you know?
The children of important people. I think that's typical of her... It's a power move. Isabel and her four collaborators began to kidnap the daughters of local nobles. It is not a good idea. It is not a good idea. Nobles are not like the lower class and peasants, okay? They panicked when their daughters disappeared. The panic, unlike the worries of the servants and peasants, was strong because they were powerful people. So more things were going to be done because they are powerful people who say: "Where is my daughter? I can't find her...". Know? And the servants and all that, they just ignored them.
It still works like that today... Done. So the noble families got together and started chatting about their daughters' disappearances, and they said, "Hey," "Your daughter disappeared, you disappeared," you know? Like they were putting the pieces together. They all sound pretty similar. And the common denominator seems to be: Isabel. Hmm. On December 10, 1610, Count Thurzo was very close to Elizabeth and Elizabeth's family. Anyway, he decided to investigate the rumors that were circulating about Elizabeth's relationship with the missing girls. At that time, Count Thurzo was in charge of judicial affairs in Hungary. The only reason he bothered to investigate the accusations in the first place was because there were crimes against noble youths.
There were rumors about Elizabeth before, as if this was not new information, but came from servants and peasants, you know? So she didn't really consider them important simply because, you know; peasants ew. So this isn't necessarily new information, but now that the nobles are involved they say, "We definitely have to go find or investigate Elizabeth." So this guy is going to... You know, he heads to Elizabeth's castle and goes there because he needs to look around her and investigate the situation. When he gets there, you know, everything is dark and creepy. Well, I don't know, but it seems like he would be on my mind.
Anyway, but he gets to the castle, goes in and looks for Elizabeth. "I don't see her. Where is she?" Then he hears some noises coming from a room maybe, a little room in the corner, you know? So he goes there. "Elizabeth? Is that you?" He goes and checks it out, right? He looks into the room, because the doors open, and what does he see? Well, let me tell you. He looks inside and sees what appears to be Elizabeth, and what also appears to be a tied up girl. And at that moment, he realized that he had just found himself in the middle of Elizabeth torturing someone.
He found a letter from this man, and had written it to his wife after visiting the castle. He went on to say that, as if he had discovered a girl already dead, and then he had seen another girl who had been tied up to be attacked in the near future. So once this was known, Elizabeth and her four accomplices were arrested (clicks) like this. All people associated with assisting Isabel in her crimes, even those who were simply ordered to bury the bodies, were also arrested, interrogated, and subjected to torture, until the whole truth came to light.
There were servants who worked for Elizabeth, and they also helped with her murder spree, and they were also sentenced to death, which sucks, because I feel like the servants didn't really have a choice. Like if they didn't help her, they'd probably be killed, and if they helped her, obviously... I mean, obviously they'd be killed, and then her kids will be killed too, so it's like a loss. /I lose for them. (sigh) What a difficult time. So the death sentences for the servants, of course the murder... Sorry, the execution, it was quick. As if it just happened like that. (clicks) You know?
But the officials were really struggling, like wondering what they should do with Elizabeth, because she's from a royal family, they can't just execute her. So they were debating "What do we do?", and they came up with the stupidest idea. Let me tell you. Typical rich people, shit. They didn't want to take her family to court, because it would bring a lot of negative publicity... (stutters) (laughs) and it would ruin her reputation. Local witnesses came forward one by one. And they were there to provide details and information about, you know... Various bodies that had been found, beaten and tortured to death.
Several servants admitted to seeing Elizabeth take advantage of her victims and kidnap them for her evil and selfish purposes, but they couldn't say anything because... They are servants. How did I lose my cap in two seconds? I lost my cap. Are you serious? Has it gone like this? That is very annoying. Elizabeth's private diary was reviewed in an attempt to determine how many girls the Bloody Countess had murdered over the years. You know, they didn't have a real number. But there was never a clear answer as to how many victims there really were. Most people think she killed about 650 girls, because in her diary she said that, but they don't really know, you know?
But they think, yeah, maybe it's sort of out there. That's a lot of people, okay? Instead of being sentenced to death in the same way as her accomplice, Elizabeth Bathory was imprisoned in her castle. You see, what they did was board up a windowless room, board it up. (imitates hammering) Put down some old bricks, whatever they did. They put her there. It was essentially a makeshift prison, within the walls of her own castle. And that is where Elizabeth Bathory would live the rest of her life isolated from her, in her own castle, in this prison. Do you think she really stayed up there the whole time?
They say she had a bodyguard, or like... I'm sorry, security or something, making sure she stayed up there, but I have a feeling, I'm sure at one point maybe she said, "Can I just kind of get out?" to walk or something..."-- How are we going. Come on! On the afternoon of August 20, 1614, Elizabeth is said to have claimed that her hands were cold. The bodyguard overseeing her house arrest sentence told her: “It's nothing, ma'am. “Just go to bed.” At age 43, Elizabeth lay down in her bed and died without incident, unlike hundreds of her victims. Yes, she died super bored. (disappointing tchip) Lame.
And that, my friends, is the story of Elizabeth Bathory, and how she did some fucked up things, almost, maybe, who knows? 650 victims. That's crazy. I mean this is... This looks like a movie. Like when she was reading it and stuff, I was like, "This... Is this real? Is this real?" "Is this real?" (stutters) "Is it?!" I want to believe it is, because it sounds so perfect, but at the same time, what the fuck... It's real. (laughs) It's okay, anyway. Such a fucked up story, right? And get this, this is what made me laugh; Elizabeth's parents were very worried about her reputation when she became pregnant with that peasant's baby, remember?
Good. I wonder how they feel now, you know? Or after the fact. How did that work? And that, my friends, is the story of Elizabeth Bathory, the "Blood Countess." Let me know what you think below. Do you think she had 650 victims? Do you think she was lying? Do we think we really know the truth? With these old stories, it's always hard to tell, I mean, I'm sure there's a truth there. But how is it not like...? It's like a game of telephone. Know? I hate that. That's why I avoid stories that are so old because it's like...
Is it the truth? We do not know. But I think 650 victims are too many. As if it were an entire town. Did nobody do anything? I don't know. But I do think she killed people for sure. I don't know though, those are just my thoughts. I don't know what I'm talking about, so I wasn't there. But those are just the facts that exist right now about Elizabeth Bathory. Let me know your opinion below. Thank you all so much for hanging out with me today. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Make good decisions.
