Squishy Makeovers: Fixing Your Squishies #19

Squishy Makeovers: Fixing Your Squishies #19
foreign hey it's me I wave with my left hand that time today is another

squishy

makeover video I've done this once or twice before oh wait this is episode 19. so what I do here is I fix and repair and decorate discarded

squishies

that have been sent to me from my viewers I am the public

squishy

trash can thank you usually I let you guys choose which

squishies

get

makeovers

because you know I unbox all of these on camera and then I go through the comments but I didn't even consult
squishy makeovers fixing your squishies 19
the comments this time I just kind of picked out ones that I felt like doing sorry this is them they're already completed which is why you're looking at a blur right now not blurring obscenities let me just put them away I don't know oh I ended up selecting three different

squishies

to work on today so you know what let's do it okay so I'm starting with this one it's one of those mini

squishies

that's really cheap made for quantity so it has a super lazy design just a
spray of green paint and a very lopsided face which was a printing mistake obviously but I don't know I kind of I kind of like it to be honest it's kind of cute it does have a few rips and stains I'm thinking of naming it Nat where did that name come from whoa okay so let's get on with it first I'm trimming up the edges and removing any messy seams or just general scraggliness let's all just move on from that in between the legs in particular was just an absolute mess so
I'm cleaning that up yikes it's for

your

own good I'm popping that little pin out of its head which was just barely holding on anyway it's a scrap piece of foam I don't know why I made like a moment out of that I'm shoving some foam into its head hole and then filling it up the rest of the way with puffy paint and while I'm at it I'm using that to repair any other damaged areas now that's all dry and I thought I was done with the repairs but you know what I
don't like the way you're looking at me okay all right all right then since I liked the Crooked face I decided to reposition the whole head so that her head turns with her face because you know that's how it normally works so I'm keeping that little tilt but we're gonna do it right well this actually wasn't supposed to happen so much for doing it right now all the repairs are done so I'm gonna whip up a little accessory for her I'm taking a hunk of memory foam and
just shaping it by hand well by scissor I'm creating a tiny sphere and then cutting that in half and they're going to go on like that so I'm going to glue those on having some struggles with that nah nope okay there we go and once that's dry she's ready for some more hot pink paint and I'm using this to secure the seam between the pieces as well as coating the memory foam to fill in the holes now finally I have the shape as I want it help me Obi-Wan Kenobi you're my
only hope so I can start working on the paint job starting with some matte fabric paint foreign okay and here we go we're painting and painting and this is going to be the final member of the polar bear family that I've slowly been putting together first there was Alfred then came Marlo so this is baby baby Nat whoever sent this to me wrote Nat on it it could have been short for Natalie or Nathan I'm not sure I do know that people like to write their names on the

Squishies

that they
send so that they know that it's theirs when they see it in a video because I do tend to get a lot of duplicates it can get confusing so yes these blobs are actually going to be ear warmers which makes absolutely no sense considering her ears are right there so I removed the ears definitely should have done this before I coded this in like five layers of paint so I have to try my best to patch the area up and this is what we're looking like now so I'm getting started with that band
of the ear muffs with a matte puffy paint mixture but then I switched to straight puffy paint because it's nice and thick and I wanted to create a little bit more Dimension and also try to cover up that mess that I've created underneath when I cut off the ears speaking of the ears I did actually think about the fact that the ear warmers wouldn't be covering the ears when I originally attached them but I don't know at the time I was like you know whatever it's kind of funny
that it doesn't make sense but then I realized that's not funny that's when I decided to just ditch the ears all together why does it always come down to somebody losing their ears in this series I don't know the idea wasn't that she actually doesn't have any ears though they're just supposed to be under the ear muffs she just has a unique ear placement yeah sure that's a good explanation now on to the face I'm adding some little rosy cheeks I kept it pretty
simple and pretty similar to the parents oh ew get

your

head out of there but I did add some eyebrows Once Upon a Time somebody wrote me a very aggressive comment demanding that I stopped painting eyebrows on animals yes yes I'll definitely stop doing that painting a few more details on the face and here she is she's complete she does have a hard time standing up the amount of times I tried to get her to stand up is kind of concerning She's Not Gonna Stand okay just move on like stop
squishy makeovers fixing your squishies 19
trying something about cutting her head off removing her ears and adding giant earmuffs must have screwed up her balance either way I think she's much cuter now she looks a tad bit nervous no that's just her baby innocence she needs parents ah here they are come out here you cowards so let's bring the family together for the first time why is this like awkward to watch they're pieces of foam I know but I still feel uncomfortable so they have some family bonding to do there's
a nice tender moment okay I'll stop being an idiot now I do really love how this set came together I think they look really great together the chicken family is quaking because the polar bears are kind of rocking all right there's still two more

makeovers

coming but pause for a second let me start out by saying I've had some cool products coming out lately and it's been hectic out here but I want to make sure to say thank you to you guys for being so enthusiastic about the
products that we've put so much work into to thanks because I've gotten such a great response from you guys and so many requests to do so I am bringing back the pickle the dinosaur the plush when I originally launched this little guy he sold out in 15 hours a lot of people were so disappointed and begging begging begging to bring pickleback because they didn't get a chance to purchase the first time so he's back for you this is actually a pre-order so hopefully this is okay for
you guys pre-order just means that you would be ordering a pickle before it's actually finished being made basically you're adopting a pickle while he's still in the womb the pre-order will be open until January 30th so yes everyone gets plenty of time to order but we currently have a batch of pickle fetuses we have a batch that's currently in production those are going to finish out and be ready to ship no later than March 15th but it's a limited number that's already in
progress so if those sell out then we'll start a new batch of production those would be completed and ready to ship no later than June 15th you can't rush love wait for him wait for me you can tell what the current scenario is by looking at the pre-order Page by that ship date so if you want to get it earlier order earlier that's how it's gonna work obviously the physical product is not going to be there in time for Christmas we are offering a download that you can print out and
basically it's just like a placeholder for pickle to let that person know Merry Christmas you got a pickle other good news this is international but make sure

your

country is on the list that we ship to because if it's not and you still order

your

order is just gonna get canceled oh so much information the tag is a little bit different I just updated it it's going to come with the same packaging same certificate after January 30th this is not an opportunity that's coming back
anytime anytime anytime soon this is going away okay thank you so much for

your

patience and listening to this long informational Medi information much words and let's get back to

squishy

makeovers

next I'm going to be working with this big monkey she is just adorable except what's going on in the back here it seems to me that someone started to repair it and then halfway through decided thank you bye there's a lot of like shiny glue in there which makes it look wet grosses me
out for some reason also I'm actively ripping it did I not notice that the design isn't awful but possibly a little lacking I do love her little face she looks so sweet so sweet and uh grateful she's grateful for the clothes on her back wait and for her healthy body uh-oh the color of the face is like a slightly greenish yellow she looks jaundiced not sure that that color is really working for you first things first I'm gonna put on my mask and go to town sanding this thing
making sure to really scuff it up so that the paint is sure to adhere about

fixing

this mess in the back there's really not a whole lot that I can do because it's been glued in several places I tried trimming a couple things here and there but I realized pretty quickly that there's just really not much to be done about this I'm just gonna go over the whole area with thick paint and just try my best to create a little bit of a smoother surface one thing I did notice about this
monkey is that she doesn't have a tail at all which is interesting by the time I realized her lack of tail I didn't really think it was worth it to add it at that point so she remains tailless I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable at this point I decided to bring in a little surprise for her now she's grateful for her cupcake so it this makes sense this cupcake it's quite ripped and gouged in the factory paint job up is pretty messy so I want to attach these two together
squishy makeovers fixing your squishies 19
but we have a little problem her feet are kind of in the way so move I decided to carefully cut off her feet and I was kind of nervous about this I did end up going too far I cut too much off that's not supposed to happen Okay so I had to put her ankle back so now I just kind of hacked into her body to try to make sure that these two pieces are going to fit together nicely so this is the puzzle I ended up with I'm using hot glue it's a hot genius this is a little uncalled for fabric
glue is always ideal for

squishies

because it's soft flexible there's just a lot of pieces here and things that need to be glued in such a way that's it's going to make it really difficult to use fabric glue for this particular project I decided to glue the cupcakes so that the gouges were facing inward so that I didn't have to repair that part sneaky sneaky so as you can see I've positioned this all back together to look like she's kind of holding the cupcake with
her feet that was a process so that you can have

your

freaking cupcake next I'm gonna go in with more puffy paint there are a lot of seams and gaps to be filled in so I'm just gonna go around and try to clean all of that up hours later it's finally dry and ready what is it ready for oh that's right a massively large bow so I clearly remember receiving this

squishy

because I was like obsessed with it this is the most perfect thing in my life its name is one zero nine one one eight
one two there's really nothing wrong with it it's in great condition but I think it needs you know like a purpose in life what better purpose than to decorate a grateful monkey thank you so I'm sanding it and then I'm just going to slap the bow right on top of her head you think I'm playing I am aware that this bow may be a tad bit too large for this monkey and I realized that you may think that this looks ridiculous but I think it's kind of cute that way you know
it's oversized and it's a look am I convincing you no oh I almost forgot I have to clean up this mess that I made on the bottom let's just get through that one done let's take a little break to clean out this disgrace of a palette this is a great demonstration of the stretchiness of fabric paint so you can see it stretches so I'm starting with a white base coat and look at that it's already done magic yay actually I forgot to record that part so sorry so I'm finishing
up what's left of that really quick and now on to the color I decided to paint the monkey a light purple it was a choice that I made but the more I thought about it the more I started to kind of back down from this purple decision she was starting to look a little too familiar I've had a change of heart I decided to go with brown the main reason I didn't want to do brown in the first place was because you know it started out brown and I like to make these things like a dramatic
change because it makes it cool in the end but then I thought you know well maybe if I make it a little bit of a darker brown than the original that'll be different enough but then I had a change of heart I ended up going with a very similar in fact almost identical version of the color that it was originally wow what a waste of time but hopefully you know with the new accessories and such this will still be a really cool makeover so these are the colors that I'm going to be working with
I'm choosing yellow for the frosting which you may think is a weird choice but my idea was to make this look like a banana flavored cupcake since it's a monkey banana I thought about literally painting bananas on the cupcake liner or on the bow oh but decided that that was going to be too busy and too stupid and so I was trying to think of what do we associate with bananas that's appropriate and the only thing that came to my mind was blue and white stripes but I couldn't think
of why I Associated blue and white stripes with bananas so I actually had to look it up and search and I found that it's because of this I don't know exactly what this is but for some reason it was in my brain but I decided I didn't want to use that as a theme so I ended up choosing kind of random colors I I did a light and a dark yellow a green because bananas do have green on them and then purple because I just thought it would look nice with the other colors let me tell you
something about this bow it was this just took absolutely forever it would have been so easy to just paint this solid color but no I had to make it striped before you start typing oh I actually think that the bow ruins it just don't it's not funny because this was just so much work every color went all the way around in every little crevice multiple coats and then the touch-ups and it was a lot of finicky painting finally the bow is done I decided to add some areas of light yellow on the
Cupcake to make it look a little bit more appetizing I think and I made the cake kind of what I would imagine a banana cupcake to look like this cupcake was definitely giving me flashbacks to this one

squishy

that I painted way back in the day finally we can paint in the face this is going to be a much different color than the original we're trying to get this monkey on the road to recovery get rid of that jaundice I'm going in with some of the face details and I'm trying to achieve
a softer more gentle look for the face than it had before the actual facial features are you know like sculpted in so her face is mostly going to stay the same it's just different colors moving on to the sprinkles foreign sprinkles but they deserve love too so all that's left to do is go in with the endless stream of touch-ups and cleanup and just getting this paint job looking nice and neat and beautiful and now she's finally done her blush is a little intense but that's okay I
personally love this makeover like a lot her head is still a little lumpy but it's better than that the banana theme didn't end up coming through that much but I think that the colors look awesome anyway I'm anticipating that people will not like this one because the bow is a little bit obnoxious I feel like she's gonna get hated on I think that the oversized bow is just adorable and it just like makes her look cuter okay and this is gonna be the last one this is a cute little
Game Boy

squishy

this one is so unique I only have one of these and I've never seen it anywhere online or in stores it's special it's mostly blue but there's not that much else going on the face on the screen is kind of generic the buttons look sad so I'm gonna try to make this a little bit more personalized and interesting right after I sand off its face perfect so I'm gonna be using a green gradient so I'm just painting the base that goes from dark green to middle
green to light green and then just blending all of that together all the way around for the screen I wanted to do some sort of character so I chose Georgie if you don't know who Georgie is um hello just look at his little face Georgie you may have missed a video I'll put it in the I cards if you want to watch it later but basically I just created this pineapple duck character that I am kind of obsessed with so I'm sorry I had to bring him back and draw him in the screen saying hello
like he does and it's just you know it's a Georgie game I've been holding on to this game boy

squishy

for so long because I couldn't decide what I wanted on the screen and this was actually the first idea that I was excited by so I went with that I will say it was a challenge because I had to fit him in the screen so I didn't want to draw his entire body and make it too small because then the details would have been impossible but I also wanted to be able to include all of
his main features so he ended up kind of getting a little tilted and kind of smushed in there he's a little chunky he's chunky Georgie onto the buttons I just kind of used colors that matched I added a little glare to the screen and then I ended up going back and adding a metallic Edge to the buttons and highlights just to give them a little bit more Dimension and pop and here's the final result this one was pretty quick I'm really happy with it though I think it looks a lot more
bright and interesting and there's just a lot more personality to it now than before so I think that this one came out really well that's me trying to play the Joe Georgia game it's not real friend oh my gosh he's alive whoa did you lose weight here's everyone that I completed in this video I love how it's like two small ones and then just a giant monkey in the center I love all of them I use kind of like different colors than is typical of me so I'm liking this
little vibe that we've got going on here I hope you guys enjoyed this video thank you so much for watching and I'll see you next Friday bye oh
