Squishy Makeovers: Fixing Your Squishies #26

May 31, 2021
Hello, it's me today. I'm going to do a Squishy makeover. Let's do another one. I have returned the responsibility to you to choose the Squishies that I paint in this series for this episode because I did an unboxing. The video opened a bunch of new used

squishies

, that's a contradiction that doesn't make any sense. There was a small problem with the last unboxing video. I made a mistake. I called this

squishy

lettuce lettuce when it's actually star fruit that's why I didn't make it. I didn't get much feedback on which

squishies

they wanted me to paint because so much attention was paid to that little insignificant detail. 75 of the comments corrected me saying it's star fruit, not lettuce.

The only thing worth commenting on is that second one. that I was wrong, it was a terrible, terrible mistake, um, very, very, sorry anyway, I think the most popular request I could see was this

squishy

bear. I didn't open it until the end of the video and generally the squishies that end up being requested a lot are the ones like at the beginning of the video I don't know it's sad it deserves to be here the other very popular request was this one this is my fault this is another instance of mine I opened my big fat mouth with a random idea that probably won't work, but I just had to say it.

squishy makeovers fixing your squishies 26...

This softie scared the hell out of me, but I thought he looked like he had a baby's body and I thought, what would happen if I turned around? on a baby if I turn it into a real baby I'm pretty sure this will be really creepy and weird. I think everyone is secretly hoping I fail so they can be entertained by my failures now for the third one. I'm going to leave it as a surprise, it could be anything, it won't be the star fruit, I'm going to burn it now, so let's get into the soft roast.

I'm going to start with this one just to get it out of the way. Maybe it's just me, but I find the squishy incredibly creepy. He's clearly a dog in an inner tube, but the gray makes him look like an old man and then his body looks like a human baby. Are you a baby or are you 83 years old? His neck is a little uh whoa he has a big tear we have a random hole here that oh bends into another huge tear the softness of this type of shit is borderline stress ball material which is one of the biggest insults I've ever seen. can you give it to a squishy everyone knows that stress balls are the scum of the earth, let's start with this first.

I need to sand the foam to make sure the paint adheres properly and once we see small tears all over the surface, that's it. turn this dog into a human baby and usually the surgery to perform a species change is very complicated, first you remove the tail because most people don't have tails, I don't think so, and then I need to soften that area as best you can. So that it doesn't look like a complete disaster, I'm ripping this pin out of its side. I can see it hurts and of course I need to get rid of that little dog nose and in fact I'm going to completely smooth it out.
I removed the entire face from the cramp in my hand and now I could have left the sunglasses there and made the baby wear sunglasses, but I feel like those glasses might have leftover creepy vibes just because they've been on that dog's face . I also have to soften. I removed the fur texture on this back. Nobody likes a baby with a hairy back. Finally I need to cut off his ears. I thought I'd try to work with them, maybe turn them into big headphones like the baby was just listening to music. So then I fallen in reason.
That's stupid, stop being lazy and get it right if you thought this was creepy before, it's so horrible to cover up this hole. I'm going to grab some spare foam, stick it in there and trim off the excess. Okay, oh, hello. I took out this squishy, I think it's a plum-themed bear, I don't know, I'm wrong about a lot of things and it's kind of cute, I like the waving hand, but without a doubt what interests me the most are those ears, yeah. I'm looking at them, so yes, you have been selected to be our involuntary ear donor.
Congratulations, so let's make that cut. Oh no, don't worry, this is a good thing. Are here. I'm going to hot glue them together from fabric glue. It doesn't work very well for small parts like this, of course, I realize these aren't human ears. I'm replacing the dog ears with bare ears, but we can make this work. I'm going to go in with my puffy paint because it's finally It's time to start trying to smooth out all the chaos I've created by cutting out parts and adding new parts, doing some finger painting and this is kind of a general, you know , which covers any lumpy texture and closes all tears. and gaps after several thick coats of paint like that.
I'm going to start applying some thinner coats with a brush to really start to refine the smoothness of the surface and you can see that after a few coats it's starting to look pretty good. there, but just in case I'll add one more in this mustard yellow color for some reason, ultimately it doesn't matter what color I use for this step. I'm going to go over everything anyway so I usually just use whatever color I have in excess at the time and this is what I've done, it's ugly. Hopefully once I have it all in one color it will start to look a little better, so I'll go over everything with a white. base coat and at this point he doesn't look like a dog anymore, but he doesn't look very human either.
It still has legs, so that's not good. I think this will be a complete failure, but I will continue. Sometimes miracles happen, so let's start working on the skin that's for skin, no, no, I added that tag like two years ago and I honestly don't remember why, I'm so interesting, what do we think of this color? Oh, he is. eating it, so this is the point where we'll really start to reveal whether my evil plan has worked or not. Will it look like a baby? Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I'm having thoughts and feelings about this.
It looks more like this. a baby, but now I'm having some very unpleasant memories of my last experience trying to paint human squishies that didn't go very well and I'm really worried that it's too early to create a new failure face for 2021. after a few coats of paint of skin here we have it a very very naked baby I want to add a nice bright blush to the face so I'm adding quite a bit of pink to the cheeks I want the baby to be full of life and vitality normally I wait until the end to tackle the face but it was so convinced that I was going to fail at this that I just wanted to get this over with, so I'm drawing the face from time to time very carefully and slowly, without making a mistake by going over it with paint I wanted to do something very bold and lively like a cartoon it's a baby that's in the pool and he's having a great time so I wanted to make him laugh, you know, a big baby laugh and I gave him a single tooth, surprisingly, I think it's kind of cute, but at the same time time he looks like a chipmunk or something, maybe it's just because he's very bald, so let's give him some hair.
I decided to paint her hair a nice light brown and add a little. outlining that just to give a little bit of detail to the hair and make it look a little fuller and here it is, ah yeah, I think it could be cute. I'll call him chip because he still looks like a chipmunk, so come on. He starts to tackle his little inner tube here I could easily paint this rainbow oh the temptation is strong I'm not going to do it I'm going to go with purple, orange and yellow why do I make him look at the paint?
I thought this would be work for some, oh, a bubble popped the yellow paint, look at it, I don't know why I'm acting like this is a noteworthy event, but yeah, I thought these were some fun, bright, summery colors. nice and would look cute in the small pool. float, okay, I'm done with the first layer, now with the second layer I'm really going to get in there, make sure all the lines and seams are sharp and the colors look bright, the inner tube is ready, this poor baby has been so naked. Not that he seems particularly bothered all the time, but let's still put him in a diaper please, now they obviously have swimsuits for babies, so I realized I could have painted him in a swimsuit, but the way that his legs are curved so he could have done it.
It looks weird trying to paint shorts or something on him, so I thought a white diaper would look better and cuter. Clearly there are a lot of little messy areas left, so it's time for me to go back and fix all the little mistakes. making sure everything looks clean and tidy, finally I'm going to add some little details to the diaper and my signature on his little butt before we had a creepy, mangled old baby dog and now we have the very happy baby personally. I think it's a big improvement, maybe it's just because I hated the original squishy so much and had very low expectations for this makeover, but I actually like it, it's cute, you can hear that laugh.
I won't be surprised if some people still find it. These creepy people are scared by doll faces in general. I actually don't find it too creepy and I thought I'd try to do something with the paws situation, but I think trying to define them as fingers somehow would have probably made it worse, but anyway it's cute, okay, bye chip, so now we have sweet little bear with a cake. I love this one, I got so excited ooh I like you but really the personality and details of this are non-existent. Hello. Hello, is anyone home? No, not to mention the tears and splinters occurring everywhere.
The actual shape of the bear is very rounded. It looks like its limbs are made of marshmallows. Hey, I know someone like that, so I think. I'm going to have to add a lot to this one to make something more interesting and that's where these three softies come in. They may not seem like they have anything in common, but they do. Everyone is going to die for her. Oh, it seems so. weird, wait, okay, let's focus on one at a time, this squishy dolphin, I'm actually a little sad to see this one die, I really like his little face, look we're bonding, but don't get too attached.
The next thing we have is this. Very uncomfortable looking mermaid cat and I'm okay with killing this one, why does a cat wear a shell bra? I mean, I get it's because she's a mermaid, but a shell bra on a cat, no, no, and finally, the most uncomfortable of all. wow I'm also not a big fan of the body position of what it's like in the middle of the action something about it is frustrating why you're stuck mid-jump forever but anyway this is about the bear remember I'll give it a quick sanding to prepare for the painting and oh, hello everyone, so soon it's time for some blood to spill first.
I'm going to cut these shells. You didn't even need them in the first place and now these belong to you from the Alicorn. I'm going to take that wing, I guess I'll keep the rest yet, I don't know and from the dolphin I'm going to take the tail and the beak, okay, now it's time to assemble and a lot of annoying little parts means hot glue is The way to go I'm going to stick the wing on the top of the head like a mohawk and the tail on the back like a tail and the beak on the forehead okay this is getting weird and a shell here and one of there perfect, all my pieces are in place, without much problem and now I just need to seal them all together to make this permanent and fill all those unsightly gaps at the same time, I'm also

fixing

the tears that were there.
First of all, the squishy looks great, it's time to apply the base coat, so you might be wondering what I've created here. I could see how this could be a little confusing. Well, it's time to color. That was fast. I am painting. this orange explains things um not well since this bear was so simple and bland I wanted to do something that would give us a little more interest and detail this will be a bear dressed as a fish so yes it's true I sacrificed three innocent lives so that you can wear a costume you better be grateful ok I painted it all orange and it already has a face oh my god how did that happen?
So I'm painting the color of the bear only on the face. My thought was this. is a bear who loves the bottom of the sea so much that he dresses like a fish and eats under the sea themed cakes. What I don't know is like Ariel from the little mermaid, but backwards and a bear version, it's a funeral, okay? I'm a big fan of this color with that orange, let's try to adjust it, it should be better. I probably should have waited to draw the facial features until I had finished the background color of the face, but I didn't, so I had to. painting around everything I decided to paint the exposed legs outside of the costume to try to give a little more detail to the arms once again.
I'm going to deviate from my usual order. I just felt like doing all the faces early, so I just Skipping forward here, I gave her some sweet purple teardrop eyes and then I went to paint the nose and a little side smile, a couple of eyebrows, it says that like there was another acceptable number of eyebrows, and then I started adding some light, delicate blush to the cheeks. which I was almost done blending and then ruined it with a brown streak. Where did that come from? Cameof my dirty paint, paper towel, well I have to fix that and now my paintbrush is falling apart, you're a piece of trash.
I don't think it's fair to go back to the eyes, I wanted to add a little shadow to make them pop a little more and then of course you'll need some pupil lashes and little sparkles in

your

eyes, oh it's cute, cute, cute, cute .cute, now I'm finally going to tackle the rest of the body, I want to use a little dark orange to accentuate the head piece of the little fish, the head piece, um, oh, finn, finn, and the tail too, Now of course the fin is kind of a different shape than the normal head fin, that's because it's actually a fun fact about the wing.
I also decided to add an outline around the edge of the costume to define that edge a little more and make it look finished. I added some little fishy freckles around it, okay? I don't know about the cake now. I chose a pretty blue frosting. I wanted a beachy look, so the frosting is water. The cake is the sand. Then I put a darker blue on the bottom of the frosting to It's like giving it a watery, blended look by painting those seashells purple to match her eyes, but I actually knew I wanted to make purple seashells before purple eyes, like this that I made his eyes to match the seashells, just if you want to get technical, finally do it. some final touches around the edges adding the layers of frosting the details on the shells the sprinkles on the cake and no, I'm not doing it the sprinkles song can wait until later because I have a lot more sprinkles on the way You and you know the rule of only one song per video, so the silence finally adds

your

inner ears.
Here's the before, something nice but basic and now the funeral is here. She's cute and a little less basic. I think the edits improved the design a lot. more interesting and unique really really really really really really love this one it's so cute it's just one of those that you just want to shake you know yeah so cute I love her so I told you the third squishy I'm going to choose myself which I thought It was a good idea but this is what happens when the choice is mine, yes it was a tough choice but then I remembered that in my unboxing video I said something about making a stack of donuts that I hadn't made. one of my dreams, so I went out searching and found all the soft donuts I could.
Is it sick to say that I expected there to be more? Yeah, that's crazy. I'll select a couple of these if my camera goes out. Freaking out, okay, stop doing that, I'll take this one, this one and this one, they were all exactly the same shape and I like them because they're nice and thick, this one is in bad condition, I'm sure there are bits missing and everything, this one is drawn . in sprinkles and a crooked hole and this one oh wait they all have crooked holes oh well that adds character this one has some very interesting speckled sprinkles okay let's get this party started I'm going to freeze my donuts with my favorite flavor fabric fusion delicious and okay , now it's time to stack them to keep some pressure there while the glue dries.
I'm going to throw a bunch of rubber bands around them, let them dry for about an hour and now it's safe to remove all the rubber bands and me. I'm going to go around all those seams and seal them real quick and easy, nice and simple, we have three donuts nice and tight together. I'm going to paint them a slightly different color than the original, I guess it's a little more reddish. tan type I'm not a big fan of all the visible seams on the soft ones. I wish I had tried trimming them a little before painting, but I didn't really notice them until I painted them. which at that point it's clearly too late so these or this this or these is from these or is this now I don't know what the hell you're talking about these this took several coats because the foam was so rough and holy So I have to keep painting about it until all the holes are completely filled.
Okay, we have a solid color, but that's a little boring, so now I'm going to add a lighter color in the center and give them a little shadow. they are a little more realistic and pretty, this was a long time of back and forth to create a somewhat convincing toasted look, okay this is what I ended up with, I think it looks decent, I'm going to paint over the frosting and I'm going to opting for white for the top donut, adding some little drops because I can't resist and choose a pretty pink for the middle donut, which I wish had a little more contrast to the color of the donut, but oh well, finally.
For the bottom I chose chocolate, so this is like a Neapolitan situation going on here and everyone is going to need a second layer, so let's go ahead and do that, oh ah, nice aesthetic close-ups, delicious, delicious, delicious, okay, ready. Of course, these donuts need a little decoration for the one in the center. I decided to try to make it look like it had drizzle, which was a little tricky because I couldn't see both sides of the donut at once, so it got weird. to figure out where the drizzle would go and where it would stop and continue, so it came out a little shaky, but I think it's okay for the top, I decided to add sparkles, star sparkles, now's the time, oh, that's the song wrong, stupid. song, here you go, I'm finally adding some regular old sprinkles to the bottom donut with all the same colors and there we go.
I had three completely separate and unrelated soft donuts and now boom, a magical donut tower, I don't know. Why have I wanted to do this for so long and not? It was pretty easy, but I enjoyed it and am very happy with how it looks. Now it's official. I have my stack of donuts. I can check them off my to do list and here they are all together oh they look so fun and cute this is a profile pic but it looks weird anyway this was a lot of work for a video I need an easy video next week okay, I'm very happy with how everything These turned out thank you very much for watching and I'll see you next week, bye.
