Pro Hairdresser Rates Your Hair Routine For Long, Healthy HairJan 02, 2022
hello beautiful thank you for being here today what are we doing how do we feel so today we are looking at some
and how to maintain that
routines from different people and it is all about styling
and how to maintain that
longthick hair that we have we are going to see everything, From what products are they using, how much product are they using, how they dry their hair, how they wash their hair, what temperature of water they use, we're going to take it apart piece by piece and see what they can do. better if something everyone will start with 10 points and every time i don't like something they do or think they could do better they will lose a point i want to be very very very harsh because that's what makes it fun these are just my opinions if you have a different opinion it's totally fine i don't know everything i never pretend to know this is all just for fun and entertainment and a little education along the way let's look at these hair
routines and s ee whose routine is supreme let's do it first we have a video of brianna quan and it's called my hair care routine for long
healthyhair let's rate this the first thing i want to say is hair skin nails everyone is different and everything is based. about genetics
yourhair is not going to grow that much overnight if i could add a point i would add a point because that was great that's very true a lot of people who just don't have great hair it's genetics you can definitely try and um do push back that genetics so it doesn't show up it can be like genetics going out and wearing something that makes
yourhair really long and thick but some people just have naturally beautiful hair so i actually wash my hair once a the week because that's when I realized it was actually getting greasy.
I feel like my hair doesn't get as greasy as quickly especially if you don't like touching your hair that often because then you are like a stimulating oil and you are right count your hair minus your hair. I'll get less oily it depends on your lifestyle if it's hot your hair is blonde if your hair is brown you can see more oil on darker hair things like that but once a week seems to be pretty good for the most people so these are the products i use are from ogx and it is the morocco argan oil renewing shampoo and coconut milk nourishing conditioner so both argan oil and coconut oil are really good for your hair in my opinion i have done my own research on i am going to find something wrong with this video today because it seems like you have done a lot of research on this saint.
I don't have any problem with lgx. I have definitely used them before. I don't mind people mixing and matching shampoos and conditioners. I actually encourage it because you can get different benefits from shampoo and conditioner and you can combine them and get all kinds of benefits all wrapped up in one process. I usually wash my hair with lukewarm water because I find that extremely hot water makes it frizzy. and then extremely cold water doesn't really do anything for me and then the amount of shampoo i use is worth about three lines so if you shampoo along all three lines of your finger that's about how much i use oh girl this is music to my ears thumbs up on all this guys i've never done these videos where she does nothing wrong i don't think anyone has lasted that long with a full pen in one of these videos so she said ok does not use cold water and that you have not used very hot water.
I know a lot of people like to use cold water when they wash their hair and you know it helps preserve the color etc. so on though you need a little bit of heat to expand the hair fiber and then put the shampoo in there and get all that dirt and oil and grime out of your hair so if you just use cold water it's not really going to work. a lot for your hair it's not going to release those oils and dirt out of your hair as well as it would with lu warm water and then she said she uses three finger line shampoo on her hair i think its a perfect amount more than which would be too much so i like to rub my hair vertically or horizontally, i don't want to wash it in circles because that is what is going to create tangles and breakage.
I'm just going to let her do my job today. I have no advice for you at this point. If you do this, you're going to tangle your hair and pull it out when your hair is wet, it's at its most fragile, so you don't want to keep it up. to make small abrasions on the scalp if you try too hard it won't be good overall she also if she noticed she didn't get the shampoo on the ends the water will run down the hair with the shampoo and it'll rinse the ends and leave my shampoo for about five minutes before rinsing it out if necessary. take a point off for that she leaves the shampoo on for five minutes never in my life have I heard of such a thing let's take a point off for that because I don't get it maybe you can educate me for this one but I've never heard of anyone leaving the shampoo for five minutes and do something other than if you just shampoo and rinse it out I don't think that's accurate so we're at a nine so when I get to the conditioner I like to use about four lines with my fingers so i make two lines for my scalp and two lines for the ends of my hair. to my hair after shampooing i am removing another spot we are going down to eight i knew i would find something i didnt like putting conditioner on your scalp it will not harm your scalp however it might increase the amount of oil on your scalp because the oil production from your scalp is going to hydrate you know the first few inches is of your hair in the first few hours so with the conditioner you really want to focus on the ends what I would recommend is to put in three finger lines I like the The way it says that, so I'm going to use that reference, um, three-finger lines of conditioner on the ends and the mid-lengths and let it sit there for as long as it can.
I recommend at least five minutes just to really hydrate it then rinse it out but you don't need a conditioner here for any reason unless you have a very dry scalp or something I wouldn't recommend putting conditioner on there and even if you have a dry scalp a Sometimes putting more conditioner and more scented products on top of the scalp dries it out even more so I just recommend not putting conditioner on the scalp doesn't do that in my opinion so I wear a 100 cotton shirt just to get the moisture out of my hair because i don't want to cause breakage or split ends and i never towel dry my hair because the material is really abrasive and bad for your hair let's subtract a point we are doing it the reason i removed a point is because she she did a really cool thing which is wearing a cotton shirt to dry her hair three little thumbs up here no harm in wearing that however she said that we Using a cotton towel is too abrasive I just agree if you use a cotton towel like this it's bad for your hair and it will break your hair and tangle your hair and do all sorts of nasty things however if all you're doing with a cotton towel is twisting your hair and squeezing it it's really just soaking up the water in your hair it doesn't add to frizz or breakage or anything so cotton towels are totally fine we've been using them for years and years and years in our hair and it's totally fine just don't go like that and when your hair is tangled after a shower which is unavoidable I use a damp brush because the bristles are so much more flexible and softer so thats mostly how i try to prevent it doesnt break while my hair is wet and after i shower oh something i love i just saw is she is detangling her hair with her fingers i highly recommend if you can get away with yours, don't use a brush when your hair is wet, comb it through with your fingers and then let it air dry because when you brush your hair when it's wet it's at its most brittle and you're more likely to break that way if you can get out with yours using your fingers so you won't break as much and it will be much healthier, just like your skin, your hair will have different needs in the summer compared to winter, so in the winter I like to use miraculous oil from coconut extra strength i use about a quarter size of this oil i will warm it up between my fingers and comb through the bottom half of my hair and then normally i will let my hair air dry the rest of the way in this video i am using the argan oil from morocco because now its spring summer ok i love that she is using hicker oil in the winter to really moisturize her hair because that winter breeze really it dries your hair and then you are using a lighter oil in the summer because the humidity will add a bit of hydration to your hair anyway so you dont use thick oil in the winter instead of the summer great job with that too me love that the sheep only put the oil on the bottom half of her hair if you guys put it on the top of her head it's obviously going to make her hair oily don't go too high just go up to the first third of your hair you'll make your hair get greasy and oily and you will have to wash it more often so dont do that so guys thats the end of the video thank you so much for watching thank you brianna for that wonderful hair care routine you really know you are like seriously you did a great job i'm going to give you a seven for this you're great but i can always find things wrong so let's see if the next person we look at can compare to your routine we just did e ver was pretty solid so let's see what happens in the next one the next video is by amy macedo and it's called my 2018 hair care routine my number one hair secret is not washing my hair often so i just wash my hair once a week again guys we're off to a fabulous start see a trend here it's good not to wash your hair often your hair naturally produces oils and those oils protect your hair and nourish it what if You're just removing and washing them is such a waste as if your hair wants those natural oils.
Your hair is begging for those oils. Thumbs up because your scalp creates those natural oils to keep that sexy, fabulous, long, thick hair. i need to keep them dont get rid of them too soon this is the shampoo and conditioner i use because this is the first time i wash my hair since i dyed my hair a 4n a very dark brown um it ends up turning off pretty dark still ok let's be nine b Because you have to be more gentle when you shampoo your hair it's so intense you're going to create tangles oh my goodness it's also okay that I'm using a bond strengthening shampoo I think that's what it is and does the shampoo damage but I don't know by the looks of it if her hair doesn't look damaged at all it's also very dark so darker hair usually hides the damage but maybe you can get away with using a formula more moisturizing rather than a damage healing formula because if you use those shampoo and conditioner formulas that are made for damaged hair you may be over-packing your hair with too much protein you are also rebuilding bonds. it's broken they might not even be broken so you just don't need it you could be using a moisturizing product that is more of an oil base that will give your ends more life and your hair more shine.
I'm not going to take a point off for that because I really don't know the exact texture of her hair I can only see it in this video so if I touch it and I could faith if I could make a better decision on it so this is mask number two from rebond it's like a pre-conditioner they call it anyway i have long hair so i take a good amount of this and make sure i get all my hair on yeah even the roots get it all over and i really make sure from running my fingers all over it so i can really coat it evenly and i leave it on for about five minutes guys this is magic this is really amazing and it really really smooths your hair and i find it helps with frizz and i really like baby hair Basically the top of your hair I would definitely recommend that you rub your conditioner into the bottom of your hair and then work your way up.
You don't need all that bondage at the top of your head where your hair is extremely
healthy. building agents are better for parts of you your hair is damaged, broken and split so concentrating on the ends first and working your way up would be much better so the last step of course is the conditioner so just i'm going to take a bit of this and put it mostly in the middle to the ends of my hair and i like to leave the conditioner alone for a minute or so let it sit there for a while and then rinse it out so i read the instructions on this system of rebonding and it's actually supposed to put the pre-conditioner on, let it sit for five minutes and then put the conditioner on top. made to be used or else they are not going to be as effective i never rub my hair too hard with the towel i just rub my hairlike to dry it ah music to my ears she dries her hair with pads she squeezes out the water she no don't rub it amazing never take your comb and i do that with the towel please you'll notice i also like to apply all my products before i brush the hair and that's so that when I brush my hair the products can go through the hair evenly and it helps to move it evenly if that makes sense I also love that she says she doesn't brush her hair before putting the products on that its a great idea these creams and oils will help release those tangles easier when you go and really brush your hair put on a leave in conditioner and oil or cream before you brush your hair its always a great thing i love this oil its amazing it really helps with frizz but you also know how to keep my hair super smooth so i like to apply most of that to the ends and then you'll notice what plenty.
I drip it half way then put some leftover wood on top. I'm totally cool with her putting a little bit. a little bit of oil on top helps make your hair Extremely shiny although it will probably make your hair a little oilier but that's ok and I'm glad she focused on the ends with the oil so to brush my hair guys this brush is amazing but if you have super thick hair you're going to have to do what I do which is just go over with the paddle brush it takes a little bit to get everything out the other one doesn't hurt not at all and it detangles most tangles i love that she used a boar bristle brush to brush her hair you will most likely have to use two brushes if you are brushing your hair while it is wet with a bristle brush of boar because they are not great for brushing wet hair however they do go down like pulling and tugging at your hair but she had to go after with an um more of a paddle brush to really untangle those deep tangles that totally fine totally ok with that for blow drying.
I wanted to show you guys what me when I blow dry I don't put it on super hot heat anymore because it really damages the hair so I do my best to keep it on the lowest heat setting. I love that it dries with a brush and the concentrator nozzle. I hate it when people take the concentrate nozzle out of the dryer and she's using a low heat setting, so yeah, my favorite thing to do is straighten my sideburns first. I can't live with straight hair if I haven't smoothed the back of my head and sideburns. well she took each section and did one or two passes on her hair that's very important guys please don't take the iron and do 12 passes on the same hair it's so bad and you don't need to do that solid . go through with a comb like i'm wearing a big work with that too that's all it takes to make it pretty much enough for my hair care routine guys oh that was fab leaves amy and eight like her score, which means Amy is our winner today. she has the best hair routine though she I lost a colon so we'll work on this you two have really great routines I'm just being picky and very judgmental but you know fabulous hair great job you definitely know a lot about hair so be sure to check me out. and my hair care brands on instagram you can also shop any of my hair products below at xmlhair.com today's instagram shout out goes to bug bite i don't know the real name but that is what we are going to do today.
I have been wanting to have short hair for more than a year, but I am afraid to cut it because I feel that my face is too round. Chubby is my face two turns chubby for really short hair like a pixie cut or boyish cut. I don't want to look like a boy, especially since I never wear makeup. layering in towards the face with the longer pieces and around your cheekbones will be real it accentuates the curves of your face and really defines your cheekbones and gives you much more structure as well as style it with a little pomade and give it a little texture and a cool spiky vibe i think this would look amazing on you that's all thanks for watching don't forget to live your extra life and i'll see you next time bye guys
