Making Custom Decals

Hi, it's me, today I'm doing another one of my random favorite projects that I'm only doing because I just want to do it. It's that kind of thing I like all the time. No, yes, I have it. a laptop, this is so cool, I always have a case on my laptop, it's a really pretty floral case, I think it's really cute, I was the one who picked it out, I love it, but I've had it there for a long time. time I'm getting a little tired of looking at it and my laptop is one of those things that I've wanted to

ize for a long time so I bought this plain blue case in my store with my video I've decided that the best way to

ize the case of a laptop is to design stickers and then place them on the case, so I'm going to dedicate this entire video to designing as many custom stickers as possible and sticking them all over the case.

And there we go, let's get into it now, so let's design some stickers,

, the sticker sounds more stylish, so design number one, let's go for all these stickers. I want to introduce my characters and the first one who appears here is none other than Fred. Beautifully severe plant squishy I made based on my fake plant that I glued pom poms to for no reason. If you really want to understand Fred on a deeper level, I recommend you watch my video where I become Fred. We learned a lot about him and his personality, revealing enough about how Fred became attached to Fred.

I have my little friend Pickle. He's one of the first characters I created, but he's still one of the most popular. I'm just drawing these two together here. There's my sketch. Now I'm going to go over it with sketch 2.0. I don't know why, but when I draw digitally, why does it sound weird? I feel the need to make two sketches. It's completely unnecessary, but here I am. Now I was going to do something different and try to outline each area in a darker version of the color that was going to go within that particular outline. I was trying to be cool.

I was trying to be cute. It just seems like a good option. idea before I realized I hated it go away now no let me just stick with a standard black outline stop trying to pretend you're special okay you're not so I decided to design fred and pickle together on this sticker because I have seen quite a few people pointing out their similarities. They are both green. Both have colorful spots. Both are known for their great personalities. Great personality. All of these stickers that I am going to design have a theme. I mean unlikely friendships, well that's what I called them when I was talking to myself, never mind, I had the idea to pair up two of my characters who have something in common, but I've never actually paired them together before normally.

We see Pickle with his cousin Derp, but we've never seen Pickle and Fred hang out together, so I guess they're not really unlikely friendships, but more like new friendships. Well, I decided to have some sort of interchangeable attributes, so Pickle has some dirt and a plant growing out of his head and Fred sports the classic pickle points in his pot, which makes them look like he doesn't know, like they're recognizing that they are in each other's lives. Do you know what I mean when I talk about Fred? Have you ever wondered what the rest of Fred's body looks like there?

I mean, it's a bear, it's a bear plant, right, I think it's a bear plant, right, I don't know why I'm asking you, I'm the one who made this. Dumb, does he have a naked body in that pot or is it just a head with roots? I mean, we know he can dance, so I guess he's got legs there. I'm going to go ahead and finish up some of the last little details. in this drawing I added my signature and then decided I absolutely hate this, I'm killing it, it's already done, I'm just kidding, I don't know why I did that, here is the final design of Pickle and Fred, I love how the sweet little face of Pickles is looking up and the little plant on his head oh this is really cute but we have to move on because we have stickers to make so move on to the next one.

The first character I'm drawing for this design is, of course, a fish. A fish-like spot that stole our hearts with its fish face and big yellow bow. I decided to have a fish-shaped spot holding a fish companion. Orange fish. Orange fish. It actually started in my hydroflask painting video. I was explaining that I used the words orange fish for many. of my passwords when I was a child and since then there have been several appearances of a certain orange fish. I'm realizing that a lot of my characters have very long and possibly very uninteresting origin stories, but I still feel the need to explain them. oh well the orange fish is back and it's time to make the outline.

I didn't do the secondary sketch line this time, thank goodness for that, so I was able to get this one ready pretty quickly. I tried adding some little scale details to the orange fish but they looked a little harsh and I didn't love it, plus the two on his chest looked a little fishy, ​​let's leave all that to the color, so of course these characters have the common trait is clearly the fish character and they both have this. like a shocked expression, I'm not sure why I associate the fish with this face, but I clearly do.

I added some small shadows to this drawing and then tried those fish scales again. This time I drew them in orange so they were a little less harsh and then this looked a little simple and flat, so I decided to add some little highlights and different colors to add a little interest, make it a little original, add my signature and that is finished, here is the final design. Why am I obsessed with the blush on Fishy's face orange like on his cheek, the way it's all squished together oh it's so cute, yeah okay, on to the next sticker, this one's a little more complicated, first nothing, I'm drawing my friend Cupid, hello?

Cupi was created based on my human cupcake design. I'm sure if you saw it, you'll remember, here only half of his body is visible because she will be peeking out from behind the sprinkled panda. The sprinkle panda is something I did when I was customizing stuffed animals, she's actually a character that doesn't have much of a story, she's a sprinkle panda and I call her panda, at the last minute I decided to add a third character to the mix, this is where it comes in. puts the thing. It's weird and this is a cat floating on a cloud.

This was based on a pin I designed a long time ago. There's the basic design. I'm going to start outlining them now, so of course I put Panda and Cupid together because they're my two characters that have sparkles everywhere and also have pink goo on their heads. I like how I drew Cupid's frosting dripping as she leans down. It's very cute, but it also makes me anxious, what if she keeps going? tilted is all your frosting it's going to fall no one wants to see a bald cupid finally

the outline for miss kitty i think that's her name i know i named her in one of my videos i'll have to go back and check no i don't think many of you know that miss cat cat cat is her name miss kitty no, now it is hello miss kitty, this one was a little harder to put together than the rest of them, the spray squad here make perfect sense together, but then you throw a Miss Kitty to the mix as if floating up in space.

Wow, and everything is weird. I almost feel like they are two separate stickers, but you'll see how I try to put them together. Here I am drawing the rainbow on Miss Kitty. I tried mixing the colors but I absolutely hated the look of that, yes, let's not do that please and I added some little details before it's time to add the sparkles to these characters. I've gone a while without using the spark song that some have been doing. You all are in a really bad mood, so let's figure that out now, okay, feel better, now here's the deal.

Why is Miss Kitty just hovering over the sprinkler squad? This cloud rains, sprays, this is like spraying to the extreme. I usually don't play the spray song twice in a video. but I think we need it, that was the Sprinkle Extreme remix, but don't do it again, so the idea is nice. I like the design, but I was having a problem with the fact that I wanted this to be a cohesive decal. hold it back a little longer so I added a gray circle for them to stand on, actually maybe I should have left it like that.

I feel like it needed to be more contained so I ended up adding a giant rainbow around them to kind of frame the whole thing and this is what I landed on so I feel like the top half is really cute and then I love the sprinkler squad at the bottom, but do they work together? I don't know, I like history, like Miss Kitties Cloud. rain splashes, I don't know if the design really works, it looks a bit strange all together, I really couldn't think of a better solution for it so I just took this for granted and moved on, so next I'll bring a very my character popular, cousin derp, he's pickle's cousin, derp is the sluttiest of the derps, he's always looking to chew, so i wanted to pair him with a food related character, so i decided on jerry, the cherry, jerry, the cherry is pretty new, i created it for I make fun of the fact that I have a problem with

oversized cherries and he also has a butt crack which we all love, so I thought I'd design a very happy derp holding onto a bit worried jerry, rightfully so, so i mean, we know derp. he's hungry, jerry is going to die today maybe it's okay, no, no one is going to die, I'm sure once derp realizes that this cherry is a living, breathing ass, he has a little friend who will refrain from eat it, but at this point we're not too sure about the tension of the suspense.

As for the color, this one was really easy to do, maybe I was just getting into the rhythm or it was just a little easier than the rest, but I just flew through this one and bam, it was done, it's really cute and something like that. It's funny right, I know you're laughing right now seeing you laughing so hard anyway, I ended up having enough time to finish these four stickers. I was hoping to do more, but I also looked at the details of all of these. I'm happy with what I accomplished, so I'm getting out my printable sticker paper.

This is actually cricket. I've never used this particular contact paper before, but it looks like it's going to be as easy as you'd expect. with my first design and oogley boogly bam i printed it directly onto the sticker paper, i had to increase the saturation of the image before printing it to make it look more like the digital design by getting out my scissors. I'm going to cut around my design and leave a nice white border around it to make it a little easier for me. Also, I don't know if the plant stem would have survived otherwise, so now I just have to repeat the same process with My remaining designs boom fish blob and orange fishy and the next one oh derp and jerry look good and finally, wow , there's a lot going on here.

I panicked a little bit because I saw this one and I was like, oh, that doesn't look so amazing, I thought. maybe it was this gray circle that was bothering me, so I changed it to blue, but this one still looks a little off. However, I was happy enough to keep it and print it, so I put my iPad away now and pulled out my other device. my laptop i spend a lot of time with this baby my work my entertainment my shopping everything is on this laptop whoa my life is a laptop okay i'm not really sorry i just got a little carried away anyway like i said, This case is really nice, I'm just ready to see something a little more fun in my personal style, so I'm going to take this one off.

This part needs to be shown, but I always like to clean my laptop well, it's a good intermediate case. Bath got the case right and I'm going to open it right and while I'm at it. I'll go ahead and change the keyboard cover. I feel like everyone hates this stuff, but I actually love it. Well, they keep the keyboard clean and I've been using one of these for so long that it actually feels strange typing without it. So now I have feelings from the heart, of course, for the stickers. I tried them in a couple different arrangements before deciding on this one.

This is how I liked them best and I just took the back off and glued them on. It was really easy and direct. I'm very happy with the stickers I designed in this video, but I also feel like they need more. I tried printing them quite large to take up a decent amount of space, but they still look a little more empty than I really want, this may not be the final look of my laptop case. I may have to add more in the future, but this was all I could accomplish in the time I had for this week.
