Feb 27, 2020
things, so for me, listening to good comedy I can listen to it over and over again yes, no, I agree. I love hearing the way certain people express things and, like you were saying, about how you went on stage after hearing and reciting Carlin in your head, how it helped you, you liked that rhythm and cadence. I know Thompson used to do that, he used to write The Great Gatsby, he used to write it like just copying The Great Gatsby to learn the rhythm of the words, yeah, I think a lot of us have

experience

d going on stage and something like that. feeling like you're doing someone else's cadence and rhythm.

I also surprised myself once on stage in the comedy connection and felt like I was in the middle of doing Richard Jeni. It was like I was being Richard Jeni while he was on stage. I was like Oh, like I was stealing this guy, he was one of the great ones that people don't talk about, he was one of those guys that kids today maybe don't realize how cool that guy was. he really was, yes, he was one of the best at taking a little bit and spreading it. I love the part about gay marriage. You know, this was before gay marriage was illegal, obviously, and I used to talk a little bit about how wonderful it was for gay men.
