I Changed My Identity On Instagram And Got Away With It (Kind Of)

Maybe not, but one thing is for sure. I've been thinking a lot about how little effort Paul Zimmer put into trying to seem like a different person. person so I thought: hey, why not try doing this? I'm going to do what Polymer was trying to do with the Troy Becker thing, but I'm actually going to try because, to be fair, I made fun of him a lot for not trying at all, but when you really think about it, if you really tried to become a person completely different when you already have a large following, would that work?

, I'll just invent a new person. I'll give it an Instagram and then try to get as many of my followers to follow that Instagram as possible without it being revealed that it's actually just me right now while I'm filming. It's three o'clock on January 8th and I'm planning on posting this video hopefully before the end of January, so I've got a little less than a month to work on this, I'll say it over the course of a month, an implementation really successful of this would make my other Instagram account reach ten thousand, it's not like you're super famous now, but it's like it's a healthy dose of influence, it's a spoonful of influence and If I could do that in a month, I think it would be a success.

The other aspect of this is to make it as easy as possible for me because I was originally thinking it would be pretty easy to do if I hired a professional makeup artist. just make me look different or like prosthetics or something on my face, this will be a piece of cake, but if I'm really trying to do what paul zimmer was trying to do, where this could be something feasible, which I'll actually continue with I can't just hire to a makeup artist every time I want to post on this new account, so I have to make this as easy as possible and at the same time be as convincing as possible, so my two goals are to dress up easily and have 10,000 followers. able to do it, I have no idea, I'm really worried by the time I post the first photo of this guy, all the comments will be like: it's you, what are you trying to do?

Obviously it's you. From there, I made up the perfect plan. I also needed to develop a convincing costume to disguise my hair. I decided to wear a wig this way. Zaden's hair color and length would be drastically different than mine. Hi, what if this was just my costume? Hey guys, it's me, Zayden Long, that's true, I look like a smosh from 2006. Is it that believable? I don't even know if this is in the right shape maybe this is the front, yeah it's definitely upside down to avoid wearing my own clothes while acting as zadon.

I made a trip to Kohl's and headed straight to the clearance section where I purchased some items that would never be there. They caught him using and apparently no one else would either because they were on clearance. This part was really fun because I had to decide what

of person Zaden would be, whether he likes Rick and Morty, Scooby-Doo or shirts with boring math jokes. The answer was. none of them with my new wardrobe in place, the only thing left for me to figure out was how I was going to disguise my face, since my big fat nose is so prominent that I knew I would surely need to do something drastic to alter my face, it was So when I remembered that the face app, the app that everyone used to look old last year, has features that let you change your face in different ways, so I took a photo of myself trying to smile like someone else and got to work trying to make myself.

Look as different as possible, the beards looked pretty convincing, but I finally decided to use a feature that allows you to merge your face with that of a celebrity. Here you can see me trying it out with Justin Bieber and Adam Driver. Look at that, he looks like a different person. he has a different eye color he has facial hair he has black eyebrows i mean if you saw that you would think he was a different person this is my face merch with tom holland it just made me look like a baby after a few more tries i tried to merge my face with Chris Evans's and that's when things got crazy.

Wait, okay, look at this, he seems like a totally different person. It's like Captain America himself and I had a baby. The beard helped so much that it

his hairline, I think that's it. could be the winner, this is me mixed with Post Malone, so with my full costume ready, it was time to go ahead and create my first image. Okay gang it's time to create the first image for each and every image I post with zaden I have to have a backstory or a reason for taking the photo, like what is happening during this photo, why are we taking a photo that way?

It's believable, you know, I'm not posting things for no reason, so the backstory that I came up with for this photo is that it's like a celebration photo. I just hired my first employee. My shooter and editor, Zayden, is now working for me. Okay, let's do it. Note to self: This little iPhone has grip. pinch your fingers first i took some photos smiling and then it was zayden's turn now it's time to switch to zayden for the first time getting into character for the first time was difficult both physically and emotionally but once i was there i acted like zadon It felt almost natural, like it was somehow meant to be.

I was thinking that he should probably make a different smile than I usually do, so I tried to make a different smile and ended up looking super creepy. I'm really growing a lot. There are problems here, I really hope this works and doesn't backfire or fail immediately. Well, there's only one way to find out while editing the first image. I decided to not only use the Face app to blend my face with Chris Evans, but also use Photoshop Fix. To make even more modifications to my face, such as narrowing the nose and adjusting the jawline, in the hopes that altering the shape of my face would further increase the illusion that I was zaden after all this effort, I thought I would have as confident as ever to publish. the image, but unfortunately for me I was wrong, so the image is ready, I'm done editing it.

I'm not as confident in her as I thought I would be when I look at her, I still see myself and I don't know. If that's because I know it's me or because it actually looks like me, well no I don't know, now I'm looking at it again and it's okay, it doesn't look like me anymore, maybe it does. I'll post it if someone says "Hey, it's you, you just edited it yourself." I'll delete it immediately and come up with a different plan to move forward. The trust in this is so fragile that if even one person sees it, I'm done, I have to figure out something else and try again in a different way, there is no way this will work, I don't want to post this, okay, I have to find a title, I hope.

What I didn't leave that way is that we are going to try it again in a different way. When I posted that initial photo, it was Friday, now it's Monday. I took the entire weekend to think about my actions and how. I'm disappointed in myself and now I've regrouped and am ready to try this again, so there's good news and bad news to this situation. The good news is that when I posted this photo on my story, only about a hundred people saw it. So I was thinking, okay, this will be fine, I'll just erase that forgetfulness of what ever happened.

I'll just, you know, blend my face into a different celebrity with Photoshop, it'll be a little different and I'll try it again tomorrow and see if that works, but the bad news is I didn't anticipate that the first 100 people who saw that story captured it. and they spread it all over Twitter. I guess I thought people would just see it and say, ooh, that's weird and they'll forget it, but a lot. A lot of people have taken screenshots of the image and now tweet it to me constantly, so now I feel like every time I post someone new on my Instagram story, those people will immediately know that something is up, so I passed All weekend feeling like this.

I basically failed this experiment before I even started it and for a while I was thinking I was just going to scrap this idea. It's not worth it, it's not worth it because enough people have seen the picture now that I basically failed. challenge the challenge was that no one would realize that it's me and everyone realized, every person who saw the photo realized and I didn't even get any followers. I didn't get any followers on the new account because I didn't even do It was a huge failure on my part, I felt like a real fool, but then I started to see it as a blessing.

I'm going to make it look like I'm going on a trip to see my cousin at his house in rural Illinois by making Zayden my cousin.

Hopefully people would be a lot more forgiving if they looked a lot like me, so to make this as convincing as possible, I got an Airbnb for two days so I could take photos at Zadon's house without it looking like my house, after That's what I packed up and went to my cousin's house, so I booked an Airbnb. I arrived at the airbnb now I'm at the airbnb it feels a little strange being alone in an airbnb especially since I'm not even staying here I'm just here to take pictures. This house also scares me, it looks like it was built over 100 years ago. years ago and I'm a little afraid of going up stairs, so I'll probably do most of thepictures below because I'm a little worried that this house is haunted.

I also thought I heard voices when I first came in so that's also worrying okay and that's a little creepy. I just found a long dark hair on my tripod. How did that get here? Okay, so I'm back at Airbnb, it's day two, I'm ready to take more photos. Son, when I got here today there was a light on upstairs that I didn't leave on. I'm sure this house is haunted. It was actually me and I'm pretty sure a decent amount of people noticed, if not the fact that it was me then at least the fact that the images were photoshopped in some way or that something strange was happening, like that that maybe just mark this as a plus and maybe change this to a hundred and ten percent that seems fairer, okay, goal number two, was this an easy process? Did I make this as easy as possible for myself so I could redo this over and over again indefinitely forever? For this one, I'm going to give it to myself.

I give myself a solid D minus a good 60 if now, editing the images themselves wasn't that difficult, it took about 10 minutes per image, some of them took a little longer but overall they took about 10 minutes, which which is not like that. It's not a shame, but if I ever wanted to make a video with satan, I don't know how in God's name I would do it. I suppose you could try taking a video and then exporting each individual frame as an image and then putting them all together. on my phone and then manually use the Face app on each individual image, but even a one-second video would be like 30 images, so what's that 300 minutes, which would be five hours and would probably end up looking like this?

Yeah the usability goes back to d minus okay so what's my final score if I average these 110 plus 60 it's 170 divided by 2 it's a solid 85 percent which is like a b uh a b actually seems very generous ya you know what, to be fair, I'm going to Downgrade it to a B minus because I really didn't feel very good about this, yeah, especially considering the fact that I failed the first time and had to delete a bunch of comments and block all the words I were used in those comments. I definitely feel like I got a b minus, like I passed and did well, but it wasn't a job with an edge, you know what?
