I'd hate for anyone to get hurt using the information they saw in this video, so with that he said, let's go ahead and take a look at the five different driving modes, this is directly from the Corvette owners menu, it has climate, eco tour, sport and track now obviously weather will be free, inclement weather, eco, will be for best fuel economy and tour will be for comfort when driving around town, sports and track will be what we're going to focus primarily in this video because obviously those are performance-oriented drive modes, but you can see the different things that will change in your car when you tune it up.

That driving mode will vary depending on how your car is equipped, but at a minimum you'll see a change in throttle progression, steering feel, and traction control depending on which mode you're in, regardless of how your car is. . is equipped and it could be a lot more depending on all the different options you've chosen to have on your car, but we'll come back here to the different driving modes and show you not only what we just saw in that graph, but some of the additional layers inside each driving mode that you can use to get more performance out of the car, so I'm in sport mode here and what we're in sport mode I'm going to show you. you know what the traction control button in the center of the mode selector does with a single press you will be able to disable traction control now obviously traction control is pretty simple this is a program intended to strictly limit the rear wheel slippage. when applying brake or limiting engine

I want to make sure you know what these two programs do. Traction control limits only rear wheel spin, either by applying the brake or limiting engine power to the rear wheels. Stabilitrak, on the other hand, still helps with wheel spin, but it actually helps. it controls all four tires from going out of control and is more intended to prevent you from drifting or losing control of the front end off the road, so Stabilitrak is a completely different thing now with these two off, let's say it was on track. The mode with both off is the crudest, most unrestricted and unforgiving mode of your car, so make sure you use extreme caution if you are going to use this mode as it can be very dangerous if you don't know it. how to use all the power of especially a zo6 or even a Grant Sport or a Stingray.

Now let's talk about a mode that has a little more assistance built in, but it will probably make you a faster driver so let's go over the track mode you can still turn off the traction control on its own you can still turn off Stabilitrak you know all the things that you I just showed it in sport mode exactly the same but now that you're in track mode, you have one more option available to you and that is to double click, so when you double click the trash control button, it wouldn't work in no other driving mode, and follow mode turns on in my car, it's competitive mode, but if you have a car with the z51 performance package where zo6 will be the performance traction management, but pretty much the same concept, it's just that performance traction management gives you more internal options again if you have a zo6 or a z51, but the basic principle here is that Garbage Control is disabled, so again you don't have garbage control on.

Stabilitrak is still enabled to some extent in competitive mode on a non-z51 or zo6 car. Competitive mode will basically give you very, very limited Stabilitrak support, but it gives you the option to use features like launch control, which is a really cool feature that a lot of people are interested in now. You can access it by putting the brake pedal to the floor and the accelerator to the floor. automatic or clutch to the floor and throttle to the floor and a manual transmission but this is the only driving mode where launch control will be available now again if you have a z51 or zo6 you will see additional options like I think they are five different modes you can select from, which go even deeper into how you want Stabilitrak to interfere with your driving and how you want it to help you on the track so you know again that you can use it. these to fine-tune your experience, and again, it's going to vary a lot depending on where you're driving and what you're trying to accomplish, but I just want to show you some of these modes that you'll be interacting with. the car and what they will give you the ability to do, but once again in track mode, double click on the junk control button that will tell you whether you have performance traction management or a competitive driving mode and that will possibly be the quickest mode for most drivers, considering it still has built-in driver assistance to help make sure it doesn't spin completely out of control, but make no mistake, it still has garbage control disabled, so This could still get out of control. quickly and you still want to approach it with a lot of respect and understanding of how much power these cars have, but anyway guys, just a quick recap, you know that pressing the traction control off button once in pretty much any mode will engage it. turn off your traction control, long pressing the traction control button will turn off your Stabilitrak and traction control and then it will go into track mode and double clicking the traction control button will start your performance traction management for your competitive driving Depending on the road on how your car is equipped, which as I said, although it still has some restrictions built in, will arguably be the fastest mode for the average driver, so I hope you found that information useful, boys.
