HOW TO COVER ACNE | NON CAKEYNov 22, 2021
I love you guys welcome back to my channel my name is Emily thank you so much for clicking this video so today I'm going to do my routine of basically how I
acne. I don't do this routine. every day anyway i don't really care about taking my
acneoff i mean it's definitely an insecurity of mine and i'm trying to get better it's been decently better but as you'll see when i put my likes on i don't have this makeup on. I'm having a few breakouts, so it's not fun, but at least you can feel confident wearing your makeup.
These tips and tricks are self-explanatory, pretty easy, and really help a lot, so I hope you'll give it a try. guys like this video please give it a thumbs up if so and let's get started on the video ok so the first thing you need to do on your skin is prep it. I have a mattifying foundation on my T zone right now not really. It doesn't matter what primer you use, just make sure you don't use something brightening on your pimples that you don't want. or i use something with similar reflective properties so to begin with i usually use a concealer on my blemishes this is not everyday for me this is only when i really want to
covereverything up and do like a mask so no one can see my breakouts how can see i got some big pimples right here my skin was so good and then i kinda freaked out after i didnt eat very well and i also drank a lot last weekend and i was also a bit irritated on my face i know i shouldnt do but anyway my skin is not in the best step right now so you can really see that I'm going to be able to cover this up so the first thing I do is take a full coverage concealer or like a very coverage concealer high.
I like to use a short, sharp tape. sharp tape. Oh my God. I think something like that will work. I don't know everyone. they like to hide before the base because they think they are going to change everything that way. You got new tips for that so most blemishes will be covered with this concealer and then we'll go in with foundation and you won't have to find a concealer you like that matches the foundation you like because different brands have different undertones and i just take a little bit and go over the spots i want to cover more so anything super red if it's just a little bit of pigmentation i won't cover it up because i know the foundation will cover most of these active breakouts though i'm just going to apply a brush here because I don't want to contaminate that area.
I'm just going to take a little bit on a brush for those areas and this is the brush we're going to blend with anyway. I go in and then with this flat top brush from Wet-and-Wild is this kind of tiny kabuki brush. thing and i go in and stroke you you never want to slide when you're covering blemishes it's really going to move around that product and that's exactly what you don't want so always do tapping motions and jump on it too many times because otherwise it will start to strip that product and it will start to soak. on the brush you just want to make it just enough that it sits on the skin that's what you want to avoid you want to blend it but then we'll go out and blend the edges so don't go over the actual zipper too many times so, like i said we're just going to go around the edges and blend everything doesn't have to be perfect because we're going to put the foundation on top enough that there's not i know a hard hard line some people will go with a color concealer.
I'm not a big fan of color correctors, you really have to like covering them super well so you would have to use a color corrector and then as a high coverage foundation. or something over the top because usually in my opinion color correctors have too much pigment and then I just don't know it doesn't work well on my skin it also blends into foundation sometimes it gets messy so I prefer to just use concealer now that we have that layer on I'm going to wear a foundation so i like to wear a lighter foundation not super light but something that will make my skin look nice and hydrated and glowy so i know there are people out there with super oily skin. oily t-zone if you want you can use a mattifying product on your t-zone then use more of a similar light foundation on the edges its up to you you can use a matte foundation i just think having something that looks brighter and dewy looks healthier and people aren't going to look at your acne as much because if they're not going to look dry and caked up or something, it's going to be nice healthy skin.
This is from L'Oreal. This is your magical lumi base. no no magic lumi True Match Lumi foundation i have mine in the shade w-4 if you are curious i like to apply this with a sponge but i prefer not to use a sponge when i am doing any concealer because i feel like it really takes away too much product. To avoid stinging I use a sponge here because I love how sponges apply but I make sure when I'm dealing with acne I pat it on very lightly you don't want too much product on the sponge because again we're avoiding stinging like that than pat it very lightly if you think there is too much excess, you can always go over it and then put a little more back on. take off that coverage we just did with the shaping tape look how much better it looks that side is a walnut this is medium coverage i don't like to wear super super high coverage unless it looks natural on the skin it's all about having a glow healthy while still covering acne so now basically everything is covered there are a few spots i would like to go over with some concealer and i will show you what shade of concealer which smile i like with that foundation so like i said i use w- 4, which is warmer to wear this collaboration of beauty concealers. there is a liquid concealer in the shade honey/almond and this is a pretty decent combination it looks lighter in the tube but it likes to oxidize a bit not continuously just like when it dries it just darkens a bit so I'm just going to put this on any area that I think needs a little more coverage and is peaking so I like to let this part say a bit while I do my under eye concealer and I like the highlighted parts of my concealer. also blend this in while the other stuff is there for a while now i'm just going to go over those areas lightly with the brush and make sure everything is blended well now we're going to go in with powder i like to use the kodi airspun not loose face powder.
I only use a little of this. Win we don't want to look
cakeyby any means so I'm going to dust off a bit of the powder now for the cheek area and most of where all the acne is similar as I guess I'm going to use this better skin a powder this is the nude matte shadow war so i like to use this because it's my skin tone and it doesn't strip pigment from my face so i'll use a big brush like this one it's from morphe it's the e and just lightly dab it on the face like this so there you have it, basically it's all covered so the rest of my makeup is done.
The last thing I wanted to share with you is that I always use a setting spray. This will ensure that the powders and things we put on our face really melt with the skin and look more natural, so I like to use a pixie pet moisturizing mess, you can use whatever setting spray you like and then I'm done, so this is my look afterwards everything is covered it looks really nice healthy glowing and natural and i hope you liked this video a lot if you give this video a thumbs up and also please subscribe to my channel below.
