History Of The Terminators - Mortal Kombat 11/Terminator series

Jun 17, 2021
Hey guys, your story behind the warrior and welcome to another Mortal Kombat video on breakout story and analysis today. I'll talk about the Terminator, however this is a definite twist to what I traditionally do from the channel in the

history

of the

series

that I always go to. about character background, however, the determining

series

has never consistently had a unit, so for this episode story I won't be focusing on a strict

terminator

, but in fact talking about all the units as a whole that have been involved in this series, so I'll talk about the Terminator units you see in the movie, what their characteristics are, and what exactly makes them unique in their universe.

First, I have to say that not all of these Terminator units exist inside the actual can. because since Terminator 2, the series has split into a different timeline a bit, as Terminator 3 is its own continuity, Salvation is its own continuity, and Genesis is its own. continuity so they're all going in their own different direction meaning all the Terminator units you see until about Terminator 2 is where the series really changes a bit of course it's definitely different media sources bringing different ideas . I'll talk about them and let you know their place of origin now without further ado let's talk about the Terminator now the Terminator units themselves are quite interesting they were created by an artificial intelligence known as Skynet a very advanced computer system. but in fact, he gained consciousness after his Croat in Cyberdyne realized the extremely destructive nature of humanity and Foss decided to create the Terminator units, which are usually robots encased in human flesh and skin to disguise their real intent.

More Interesting Facts About,

history of the terminators mortal kombat 11 terminator series...

The Terminator unit determines the unit as some are in fact infiltration units while others are created to be simple foot soldiers but yeah there is a quick background check on Skynet and how it came about due to continuities they constantly change it. familiar with the t800 and of course the t800 made its first appearance in the original Terminator movie and was given a mission to kill Sarah Connor, the mother of resistance leader John Connor, now Sarah from this time was gone John's pregnant Skynet had sent the t800 back in time to kill her and prevent John from existing; however, because Colonel Reese was sent back in time, Don Connor's father was able to fight the

terminator

unit with Sarah Connor and eventually the level hundred tanks were now destroyed.

From this point on the t100 robots have become a somewhat standard unit that you would see in the series now, outside of its intimidating appearance the t800 possessed extreme strang advanced tracking ways to hunt down its targets and had a endoskeleton that made him almost invulnerable; however the Terminator units themselves aren't all invincible and can be destroyed in many different ways it just takes a lot to do it now of course the t100 unit would appear once again this time it's Terminator 2 instead of the t800 tracking down to kill John Connor, his future cell sent him back in time to protect his younger self, as he had also been another Terminator unit at the time. he sent out bats being what is known as the t1000 in a t-1000 he made his debut in the second Terminator movie where he was on the opposite side of the t800 and was given a mission to kill John Connor the t1000 in many ways looks As the superior version to the t800 and actually functions in a much different way than the endoskeleton you were familiar with from Terminator units, the t1000 is apparently made of what is known as liquid metal. gives him the ability to have any physical form or one that doesn't exist at all his shapeshifting ability makes him the perfect infiltration unit I can disguise myself as anything like in Terminator 2 he is able to get the appearance of many different individuals now What really allows the t1000 to be such an intimidating weapon is the fact that it can not only shapeshift, but also warp and control its hands into a weapon, so unlike other Terminator units , i normally use brute force weapons that kill their targets a t-1000 will transform its limbs to do the job so it has many different ways to get in close and take out its target and because it is liquid meth it does it extremely difficult to kill, as he was able to withstand many bullets face to face. taking a grenade launcher to the chest it got frozen and smashed and needs to take a considerable amount of damage before it finally dies as a Terminator where it falls into a vat of molten steel and Terminator Genisys where it is melted with acid so the t1000 its an extremely dangerous terminator unit now our next terminator unit is the t8 15 this terminator unit made its debut in the third terminator movie and is an upgraded version of the t800 and much like its previous film incarnation the t8 50 was shipped back in the once again the job of protecting John Connor but unlike his predecessor he is stronger and more intelligent making him a formidable force to go up against and unlike the t-888 50 he specializes in finishing off with the Terminator, especially when it goes up against other models that are now considered superior, while we're talking about the 850 not being the only Terminator to appear in the third First movie as you can see we had the introduction of what is known as the TX or Terminator X so this was the first female Terminator we saw in the series and the TX was considered to be the successor to the t1000 now again like every unit Different Terminator before the TX is considered superior to the t1 000 actually stronger faster and much smarter and anything else Skynet had produced at the time besides this it was a pretty unique combination of previous Terminator units that you see unlike the t1000 the TX retained an endoskeleton and because the TX is a fairly thin frame she had full rotation and movement of her limp making her extremely versatile in any situation which really is the icing on the cake for her model she is all about. over the end of the skeleton the TX has a thin layer of liquid metals that acts as a somewhat shield and barrier to protect itself a bit more, so the t-axis defenses They were more or less like an impenetrable fortress and because it had liquid metal on it or any existing skin, just like the t1000, it had the ability to take in anything it looked at now.

Outside of her already incredible set of tools and Arsenal, she is the first in the Infiltration series to have built-in weapons, as the TX had an advantage: the built-in cannon on her right arm gives her the ability to disembowel anyone in its way basically this Terminator unit had everything it needed to take anyone down it took the sacrifice and self destruct of the t 850 for the TX the Paras to be of all determined units but Skynet had created TX definitely up to the task when This is about the strongest thing this series has produced now in another timeline and continuity, but being the saving grace, we were introduced to a new type of Terminator which is known as the th hybrid or V now the hybrid. terminator unit are extremely unique to this area they are above a mesh of man and machine with Marcus Wright being a prime example of this seen in this timeline and continuity Cyberdyne had a genetics division and anyone who donated their body for the cause would indeed be cybernetically altered so that mental and physical consciousness would transfer to vast cybernetic bodies, so despite being human in their mind, a large part of the body would be made up of cybernetics, but would still retain some human organs now that th was created in the early days of Skynet's inception, so the hybrid series wasn't as strong as some of the other

terminators

we've seen.
However, make no mistake here. as the hybrid body it had cybernetic augmentation, but it would allow it to do some pretty incredible feats of strength, so I wouldn't say it's actually inferior to the 800 series; However, because it was created so early in the Skynet days, they are definitely

terminators

, but they are much stronger than this now, unfortunately outside of this, the hybrid isn't that unique, it's simply a mesh of a mechanical body with a human consciousness tied to it and skynet was quite aware of this so they put in a contingency plan of a chip that is implanted in the brain but would allow them to control the hybrid v, however this didn't always turn out to be a success with Marcus being a perfect example of an individual who was able to get away from this now w We can go back to the Terminator Genesis era now once again this is a different timeline and continuity but a Genesis timeline he presented us with some pretty interesting ideas that have been dated 3085 thousand now Genesis as a story was an attempt to reboot the Terminator franchise, however he wanted to give it his touch and twist and that was the t 3000 that e see in the future with a resistance and Skynet was fighting and Calvary was about to be sent back in time by John Connor he would be infected by the t 5000 to 85,000 he was the physical incarnation of Skynet but we'll get to that in a bit.
John Connor was twisted and contorted by nanomachines. I replaced every cell in his body so I altered John's physical being from human to a robot now what's interesting about the t 3000 is that it not only retains the character traits of the person it alters but also allows them to maintain its memory now the T 3000 is a bit of a beast of a machine Comprised entirely of nanomachines, it is capable of doing things no terminator unit was capable of before. He is able to phase shift, morph, twist and contort, as well as manipulate his own molecular level. explosions and if you surprisingly take any real damage you can use your nano machines to repair yourself now of course since the t 3000 is a higher version of the 800 series it is for all intents and purposes much stronger than its predecessors . so like i said its a bit of a beast machine however in saying this its not unstoppable the only weakness for the t 3000 is its magnetic field can be disrupted see anything that has any sort of magnetic portraits is able to disrupt its physical makeup as soon as the T 3000 has only made an appearance we know this is the only way to stop it now that's all we do actually we have to say about the T 3000 as t there isn't too much information since the genesis timeline was discontinued now let's talk about Alex now Alex aka the T 5000 is an extremely advanced Terminator unit that is the physique and body of Skynet apparently has the ability to transform normal humans into t3 thousands of ODI has only been done once, it can't be assumed that he can do this to many of a different individual now the t 5000 retains both a human and digital form and on top of this since e his model is that 5,000 you wouldn't be crazy to believe but it's superior to any terminator unit before it especially since it's actually skynet sadly this is as far as it gets from the t 5000 like i said the genesis continuity was discontinued So we'll never really get to see what exactly the T 5000 was all about, so yeah, that's all I wanted to say about the Terminator units that have graced the big screen.
I'm only scratching the surface when it comes to determining a franchise with the other Terminator units that exist within it, there are a lot more than the ones I've mentioned here, but I wanted to talk about the ones that people were a little more familiar with than someone else. introduced them to the universe as the terminator is a very old franchise and in fact many may not be familiar with it now if you are interested i can do a video talking about some other terminator units in a separate video but Just if you want to see it let me know in the comments section below, but yeah guys that's basically all I wanted to say here.
I hope you enjoyed this video and learned more about how the Terminator is one of my favorite franchises of all time; understandably i am extremely excited for its inclusion in Mortal Kombat xi so before i finish this video if possible let's try to get to around 500 likes its a great way to support this channel and also don't forget to turn on the bell as it will notify you when i upload a video oh yeah guys that's it for now so as always please comment like subscribe and share this video to everyone you know please take care and i'll see you next time time
