Everyone, thank you so much for tuning in so today I have another Dollar Tree doubling video and this week I'm doubling up on some of my favorites from Hobby Lobby because Hobby Lobby has had some amazing

spring

You know when I post a video, but if you don't follow me on Instagram and keep up to date with all the videos I post, let's go ahead and start my first craft. I'm going to use one of these little hanging doors. Dollar Tree stuff, you can easily skip this and just use twine, but I really wanted the round piece of this so I'm going to remove the rest and then wrap it in twine like I said, you can skip this part because the original doesn't have the circle, this it just fits my needs so I'm going to take my twine and I'm going to wrap it around this entire piece until it's completely covered now that it's covered.

More Interesting Facts About,

dollar tree diy farmhouse spring easter decor 2020...

I do this in every Rope video, but I'm going to grab a lighter and very, very quickly, I'm going to go through it just to clean it up and get rid of all those little furry pieces, please don't do this near anything flammable, danger, danger, no I know what other way to say. just don't keep the flame on too long, you just want to clean it up, you don't want to set it on fire, so now that it's all clean, I'm going to use these carrots from Dollar Tree. It brings five to a package and you can use them as is or you can thicken them by hot gluing them to each other just to make it a little thicker and make it look more like the original, so that's what I'm going to do with a few of them, but Like I said, if you want to save money, you can use a pack of individual ones.

I really like that the thicker ones sound a bit like a wind chime when they collide with each other, so I made some. There were three, some too and some plain just to add a little dimension, so in total I ended up using two packs and now I'm going to paint this. I'm going to use two shades of orange, but of course you. You can just mix your own shade, you don't have to use what I'm using and I'm going to apply a splash of white on the side to add some dimension, so I'm going to blend it really well and leave the white alone. and now I'm going to paint my care on the bottom of my carrot.

I'm going to make sure it's a thick layer so I can mix colors and now I'm going to take my white and just add some little details. to the middle to make it look ribbed and add some darker details as well to make it look that way and now I'm going to use these two shades for the green for some of the carrots. First I made the color darker and then I touched a lighter color and then for the others I did the opposite just to make them look a little different, this is how they look and you can notice that some are thicker than others but like I said, you can use just one to save. some money and what twine, I'm just going to tie it to that circle, but like I said, save yourself that money by just using a package of carrots and not using that circle that I'm using, I'm just arranging them where they look a little staggered, the from Hobby Lobby has raffia on the top and a bow, but I honestly didn't like how the raffia looked on this one.
I'm probably pronouncing it incorrectly, so I just added a bow, here's what it looks like. with just a bow and then I realized I had some greenery left over from my last tutorial so I just put them in there to give it the same effect and after gluing it on this is what it looks like, the original isn't too expensive. It's $11.99, so here's a look at that one and then here's a look at mine, so you can do it for four

dollar

s or you can do it for six with the extra loop and thickness that I made for you.
It is identical to the one from Hobby Lobby, but I love this one much more for this craft. You can use this 11 by 14 square craft canvas. This is the largest canvas I have seen at Dollar Tree. You can use cardboard. I'm upcycling one of my old Dollar Tree crafts, so this will be where the signs I attached using popsicle sticks and glue are from a Christmas sleigh I made now. I'm going to count this as three

dollar

s even though I'm recycling it, but if you're doing this at home and you're using cardboard or canvas and that would be a dollar for that, so I'm going to take everything off the sled, sand it and prepare it for a edge.
Now for the border, you have a few options. You can use tower games that are Jenga pieces and what you are going to do is measure how many you need. I will need 12 for the bottom, 12 for the top and 6 on each side. Even use the Jumbo Stir Sticks from Lowe's Home Depot Walmart, it's up to you, but to put them together I'm just using a little bit of wood glue. You can also use hot glue. I'm not a big fan of using hot glue for these just for the sake of it. it creates a little bulk, but like I said, if you are using the Spinning Tower sets, you will need 36 pieces in total, 12 12 6 and 6, and you will join them together using gorilla wood glue, your next option is to use En wood the hardware store, this was $1.00 for a huge piece, so I just cut it up and used.
I have a lot of Jenga projects displayed in my house and I just wanted to use this because I bought it for a previous project so I didn't. I want it to go to waste. I found the middle ground of my canvas and now I'm going to use these sticky posters from Dollar Tree. I don't like them to be red, so I'm going to try something that I want to apply with a sponge. a little bit of color and see if it stays so I'm using apricot from Apple Barrel and I'm mixing it with tropical orange but you can mix whatever color you want as always.
I don't include my paints in the cost because I can use these colors. over and over again and I do it. I'll just sponge this on in a very light layer and let it dry really well and honestly it worked really well. I really thought it was going to break since this is literally vinyl, but it worked. really really good and you can even add a thin layer of Mod Podge afterwards, so now I'll use that middle point as a guide. I'm going to add my sea at the beginning and then my age at the end and then I'm going to keep adding my letters that I'm not pressing down yet, I'm just positioning them and then when I have them where I want them, I'm going to press them for the letters above.
I was going to use these stickers from Dollar Tree, but decided to hand write them instead. for the center I'm going to use this little st. St. Patrick's Day is a Dollar Tree core and I took down the sign and once I take it down, I'm going to use my own handwriting and write open every day, which is what Hobby Lobby has. It looks very handwritten if you have a cricket. It would go by very quickly, but I'm trying to make it as user-friendly as possible for people who don't know cricket. I went in with an acrylic pen and outlined it and then found the center point again and measured out just to try it. and tell it and row it with my own handwriting.
Now I'm going to stick the little sign up and if you don't feel comfortable drawing, Dollar Tree has these cute seed packets that have carrots in them, you can do that. that, but I went ahead and just made two little triangle shapes on each side and then I mixed in these same oranges that I used in my other carrot DIY, so I'm going to use the orange first and outline that and then I'm going to take some white and try to add some details in the center and then drag the darker color from the side inwards to make it look a little ribbed.
I'm going to do the same on the other side using a drier brush. because I think I went a little overboard with the other carrot and now I'm going to use the same two fantastic shades of green that I used on my other DIY carrot and I'm going to start with little stems and then I'm going to take a nearly dry brush and start to blot some of the colors and once I get a good coverage, I'm going to take my darkest shade and make sure to blend the colors a little bit so it doesn't look so harsh and I'm going to do the same thing on the other side now for the center.
I'm just going to write 25 cents each in my handwriting and go over them with blue paint. The original does not have it. The original also has a galvanized pennant. I skipped that I wanted this to look as muted as possible. I also went back now that my carrots are completely dry and added some darker details to give it dimension and tried to add the little things above that I didn't love, I totally regret it. So here's the original for $21.99 and mine was $5, but you can easily make it for three if you use cardboard. Remember that I don't count my paintings, but I love this for this tutorial.
I'm going to use this display board from Dollar Tree. and I had some left over, what I'm going to do is remove the two side flaps and cut a piece. Honestly, I had so much left over that I could have used this for my carrot sign, but of course. I wanted to remake my little Christmas sleigh now with a ruler. I'm going to measure this and find my midpoint and I'm going to make some marks honestly, it doesn't matter what marks you're making because you're going to I'm covering this so I'm going straight down the middle and then I make some marks on the side because I want to cut this into a triangle, so I'm connecting the middle point with the top two pieces and then I'm I'm going to cut this out using my box cutter trying to get it as straight as possible, but if it's not completely straight, that's okay.
This will now be disguised to cover it up. I'm going to use some fabric. I got this fabric on clearance for $2. Dollar Tree has a lot of tablecloths and table runners you can use, they also have these baby blankets but none of these patterns really caught my eye, maybe the Buffalo check you can use whatever you want , but since I'm going to show this in my At home I wanted something that would make me happy, so forgive me for not using the Dollar Tree stuff, but the same steps I'm taking you can follow with the Dollar Tree wool blankets, like this So now I'm just going to cover this. using hot glue and making sure I'm pulling very hard so there are no wrinkles.
By the way, this is the back of the triangle, so there is a giant gap, don't worry, no one sees this. I'm just pulling as hard as possible. possible with hot glue and this is what I have left and now I'm going to take the rest of my fabric, by the way, this was a yard of fabric and I'm going to make a triangle that's a little bit bigger than this one, by the way, no It is cut perfectly. I'm totally aware of this, but because we're going to add some details to the side, you won't be able to see it at all, so to attach it, I'm just going to move the triangle all the way to the side like this and I'm going to look down at it and then I'll add my hot glue to the edge and press it down when I get to the other side.
I'm just going to go ahead and do the same thing. I'm going to move the fabric and press it. There will be a little bit left there, but okay, I'm going to cut it, so now I have all this extra stuff here and it's not very nice and straight, so I'm going to cut it and turn it around. I didn't fold it like that because I didn't want it to look all weird when I turned it over, just spread it out and then cut it. I'm also sure there are easier ways to do this, but I'm obviously not a professional when it comes to sewing, patterns, and all that good shaping stuff.
I'm going to use the giant bamboo skewers from Dollar Tree. I'm just going to lay them out, cut them lengthwise, and then hot glue them into place starting from the middle, so this is the first one I'm going to hot glue into place. I added two. more on the sides of the middle one doing the exact same thing and if you want you can add this to the outside, but I actually like that I added it to the inside, but the Hobby Lobby original has details on the outside. now I'm going to start cutting out my little triangles and the reason my fabric is folded in half is because I had every intention of putting a wire in those triangles so it would be nice and straight but I changed my mind and just glued it on with hot glue and I continue to cut out my little triangles so you can see what you plan to

decor

ate your little umbrella with, so this is what I have left and now to add the details that set it apart is this giant. bamboo reef now I cut mine in half and I'm going to go ahead and remove all that burlap for this one.
I'm going to bend it very, very, very hard until I can straighten the bottom and it just curls at the top. so it looks like an umbrella handle and then I'm going to cut it into two pieces so with one side I'm going to use the sides and then for the other piece I'm going to use as a handle and I'm just going to clean up that piece by cutting it so now , so that the sides get that nice straight line, I'm going to untangle it from all the twine that's wrapped around it, then I'm going to take another bamboo skewer and I'm going to take those twigs and wrap them around using more twine, so now that I have a piece I'm going to glue it on. with hot glue in place, that's why I said don't worry if this isn't perfectly straight when you cut your fabric and then I'm going to attach the other side too, you can add them all over the umbrella, but I thought it looked cool and then I went on I went ahead and added hot glue to the little handle I created and placed it on and left it.dry very well so here's a look at the one from Hobby Lobby that's $29.99 $30 and here's a look at mine that was five bucks and that includes the non-Dollar Tree fabric.
So I really hope you enjoyed this video and if you did, be sure to give me a thumbs up as always. Thank you very much for watching. I appreciate you very much and I hope to see you next time.
