Oh my goodness, today I bring you two stinky cute DIYs that use some of the Easter decorations that Dollar Tree carries. Now you all know that over the last few holidays I've been loving DIYing these wood plaques that Dollar Tree has been selling, these are from Crafters Square, but

what

I've heard a lot when doing these DIYs is that not everyone gets These wood plaques are in stock at your Dollar Tree and there's some frustration, rightfully so, so I mean they cost a

dollar

and when you make them yourself, it's such an inexpensive piece of decor that you're making.

I can see why there is frustration. I mean I really don't understand why Dollar Tree doesn't have Crafters Square in every store because it would sell out, so Dollar Tree, if you're listening to this, go with the program and stop Crafters Square in every Dollar Tree because it's going to sell out people want it and it's great, well that's my plea to the Dollar Tree, so since it's Easter and they have this adorable bunny plaque, I'm going to show you an adorable DIY using these ones I bought, I mean four of the ones I'll be using in today's DIY, but for those of you who don't have the wooden plaques, you'll want to stay tuned because I'm also bringing you a very similar DIY using the felt bunny garland from Dollar Tree.

Now this is a pretty universal product I would think, so I'm guessing most

dollar

tree

s will have this bunny garland on them and I honestly love how they both turned out, they both turned out amazing and they are both two pieces I will keep. that I will use year after year, so let's not waste any more time, let's get into it and let me show you what I have in mind for today's DIY with these wooden plaques and this bunny garland. This is one

farmhouse

DIY I can't do. hang on, I actually want to see what's more shabby

chic

anyway, let's start with this DIY like I said, I grabbed four of these bunny shaped wooden plaques, you can use more, you can use less, it's really up to you.

I'll also be using this package of Spring Easter Fat Quarters from Emma and my luck, I'm 11 years old. There are amazing fat quarter bundles this spring and the Easter one is so

farmhouse

chic

. I love the Browns, the whites, the spikes bought this for five dollars and I. I have to tell you that with this hindquarter pack I did three DIYs in total using it, so it was worth the five bucks. This is what I have left after the first DIY. After this DIY, I'll use it in the second half of this video. Plus, a total of three DIYs for the bargain price of five dollars for this bundle.
I'm excited and you guessed it. I don't want to sound repetitive but yes I'm covering these wood plates with the fabrics starting with a good coat of Mod Podge on them once I have that Mod Podge on I'm going to go ahead and spread the fabric out and then cover it with a second layer . What I like most about using fabric is that you can really make it fit any decor style, if you just go and pick a fabric that catches your eye and choose it, and then Milah and Emma's fat jacket is amazing, it's an Easter and spring theme, they seem to come out with a lot of really cute Theme Bundles and for the bargain price of five dollars at Walmart, it doesn't get much better than that once I have my four

bunnies

covered in fabric and I'm going to make each bunny and a different fabric, now don't throw them away. your scraps because you'll need them for the second DIY in this video.
I'm going to put my plates in the oven at 135 degrees to speed up the drying process, if you don't feel comfortable doing this, let it air out. dried Nothing bad has ever happened to me so it's something I don't mind doing once they are nice and dry. I'm going to take an exact knife and using the plate as a guide I'm going to cut off the excess fabric oh my word seriously I'm obsessed with this fabric I'm 11 the color variation is just amazing it screams all the colors I love once everything is nice and dry taking this brown acid free ink pad and a makeup sponge usually I would just use the ink pad to outline the outside of the plate because it makes it so much easier and faster but with this plate there are so many small areas that will make it difficult their use, they can be cut, it is simply too much.
It's easier to use something like the makeup sponge now if you don't want to line your plate, you don't have to if you want to line it orange, pink or blue and make it vibrant. I say do it, it's your DIY, be creative. but since I like to make these DIYs that adapt to my decoration so I can use them in my house, I'm really just giving you an idea and you take what you like, leave what you don't like and make it yours, so I'm going to Go for the farmhouse chic style for this DIY again.
I'm going to outline my four plates with the ink pad. There's a lot of different ways to outline something like this if you don't have an ink pad but yeah. some Waverly wax paint, you can do that too. I only

look

at his appearance because it adds depth. I have this package of pom poms that I bought from Michaels and it says 199. I didn't pay 199 because who pays full price? Anything at Michael's you will use your coupon you will pay a little over a dollar. I'm going to use these for the bunny's tail and then use some dollar

tree

yarn.
I'm going to make a bun and this bun. he's going to be four strands thick because I don't want it too thick but I don't want it too thin either, so I feel like four strands is a good amount to give this bow that's going to go right here on the bunny's ear.

easy

that was and

look

how farmhouse style it looks. I love these four fabrics. Sorry, for some reason my camera saturation turned blue and I didn't notice it, but I'll fix it. It's very blue I'm not sure what's going on I'm still learning how to use this camera oh okay so I'll use a $1 tree burlap ribbon.
This is a nine foot roll. I'm going to hot glue the

bunnies

to the top of the ears to the ribbon and I'm going to space each of the bunnies about four inches apart. Now when you glue these together you want to make sure you leave about a foot of ribbon on each end of your bunny, so when you start you'll want to have about a foot because I'm going to use this area here to add more twine. I took some twine and made a kind of hoop with it. You can make the size you want.
I'll fold it into the burlap just like that. I'm going to turn it over and just hot glue the burlap closed and cut off the excess burlap and I'm doing this so I have something to hang it on and I don't have to put a nail through the burlap here. In the end I made another, I guess, a loop of thread. I added some brown and white baker's thread and one of my wooden buttons and I wanted to make this bow a little thicker so I think I chose about twelve strands of thread. I think this is the perfect thickness to add to each end of this garland.
I also made some of my yarn flowers. If you haven't seen that video, I'll link it in the description box below. These are very quick and

easy

to make. The same way I made the bow, I wanted to add a little color to it, so I used some baker's thread and also these wooden buttons that you can find at Michaels. I bought a pretty big bag for only a couple of dollars and What I love about them is that you don't have to paint them or you can paint them. You don't have to buy a bunch of buttons to suit your needs.
You can simply make them according to your needs. Now I'm at the other end of this garland and I'm going to do the same thing with the twine, adding this loop so I can hang it from each end and that's all there is to do now, just finish this end with another loop of twine. and we're done, could you look? This was such an inexpensive DIY using these awesome wooden plaques that Dollar Tree carries the burlap ribbon on and this adorable stacked query by Emma and my lab that you can get at Walmart. I love it.
The result of this I feel is such a farmhouse chic piece and doesn't scream spring and Easter in the traditional sense. Now, those of you who can't get these wooden plaques will buy one. of these I felt funny Garland, the good thing about this set is that you get eight bunnies for the price of one, you have these pom poms that you don't have to go out and buy, so you get all of these for a dollar let's take this garland apart and I'm going to cut these pom poms and I'll put them aside because we're going to need them later, don't worry too much about the little stump of the pom pom that's left behind won't be noticeable, we'll just go over it for this fun DIY, we'll use those pieces of fabric that were left over from the beginning of this video and that you didn't throw a single a-and because these bunnies are bright and vibrant, we're going to put just one coat of white acrylic paint on top of this felt.
The good thing about painting felt is that once you paint this felt, it will make it very hard and stiff and these bunnies will be just as stiff as those wooden ones. plates and that's why I love it. I love the size of these bunnies and what I really love is that we get eight bunnies for the price of one and these will be just as great as the first one so on the front if a little of the color comes out just a little don't worry too much, you can still slightly see the color, but on the back I really wanted that finished look so I finished it off with the cashew which I decided to add as well. the black checkered fabric that I had left over from the Christmas season.
I've done a lot of Christmas DIYs using this one and thought it would go perfectly with this fabric. I will cover them the same way I did with the wooden plates once they are completely covered. You are going to cut off the excess fabric for this garland. I'm changing the way I'm outlining the bunnies to distress them because my brown ink pad is freshly out of ink and I don't feel like running. I'm going to get some and since I have a lot of old Waverly wax, I'm going to use it and apply it with this sponge and I'm going to do it on all eight bunnies, you can see them just by looking at this.
These felt dolls were made sturdy just by painting them and applying the fabric, so there's really no difference between these smaller bunnies and the wooden plaque bunnies, you're just getting more for your money. I'm going to go ahead and replace the pom pom. -Pom back to this bunny's butt and like I said at the beginning, if there was any cotton left on the felt, it's funny before putting the fabric on, no need to worry because when you hot glue this pom pom back on it won't be visible . Like the first DIY, I'll give this bunny a cute two-strand thick yarn bow and then use the wired burlap ribbon from the Dollar Tria again.
I'm going to use all nine feet and space each one evenly. of the bunnies leaving a space between them that will be big enough for a flower when covering these eight bunnies I decided to make four of them with a black King in fabric because I had a lot of this fabric left over from Christmas and I really bought it with the intention of incorporating it to each of the parties through the new decoration that I make through my videos, so I thought that this was the perfect piece to incorporate this and so I made all the other bunnies with the black squares and all the other bunnies with the adorable spring fabric bundle Emma Amaya and I had the perfect amount of fabric left over to make this and like I said I made a total of three crafts using that $5 bundle you'll have to keep an eye out for The next DIY I'll be making because It's amazing what I made with this bundle of fabric, so you'll want to keep an eye out for that video coming up here next week for this garland.
I wanted to show you an alternative. to yarn flowers using these flowers that come in the gift wrapping section of Dollar Tree of all places, you can get four of these in a package for a dollar. I'm not a glamor girl, so in the center of these, this rhinestone, I'm going to take it off and replace it with a wooden button again. These are the wooden buttons I was talking about that you can get from Michaels, but before I do that, this flower is just a stark white and I don't want it left standing. I want it to blend.
I don't want the focus of this garland to be these white flowers, so using my antique Waverly wax I'm going to go ahead and distress the edges of this kind of dirt off of this flower. a little aged and that way it just blends in and really is a great alternative to the 20 flowers. I mean, you'll get four for a dollar and this will look just as cute. I'll add a little useful one. wooden buttons and I'm going to use the largest wooden button for this and I'm going to go ahead and hit it with some Waverly antique wax to darken it and I think I love theappearance of these flowers.
For this I needed a total of six flowers and I am going to glue them with hot glue between each of the bunnies and again at the ends of this garland I will finish it in the same way with the twine that I am going to bend. on the burlap ribbon I just hot glued it closed and just cut off the excess ribbon there and also made two of the thicker bows to add to the end of this garland. I just didn't add the baker's twine because I just wasn't feeling it. With the fabric flowers I was using I thought I was going to be too busy with the color and I'm going to see how stinky this garland turned out.
I love that you can grab a felt garland from the Dollar Tree and you can turn it into something farmhouse chic with just a little DIY, you can turn it into something glamorous, you can turn it into something cute for a baby's room, endless possibilities and it is such an economical way to transform these felts. Dollar Tree bunnies, oh my gosh, how does it stay that way? I love this garland so I'm going to say it's farmhouse chic, it's one of those pieces that if I'm completely honest you'll see in the background for a while because I love it so much and it really goes well with my home decor and these rabbit bumps.
I just love them and the felt one turned out just as amazing. What a great alternative to these wooden plaques. That bunny was even less expensive to make than this one because we only had to buy one package of bunnies and we got eight of them. Love love love. I hope you all enjoyed this stylish farmhouse Easter DIY using these friends from Dollar Tree. Please make sure to give this video a big thumbs up and let's post this video.
