Oh my word, today I bring you two stinky cute DIYs using some of the Easter decorations that Dollar Tree is carrying right Now you all know that this past holiday season I love to DIY these wooden plaques that Dollar Tree has been selling. These are from crafters square but

what

I've heard a lot when making these DIYs is that not everyone is getting these stock wood plaques on their Dollar Tree and there is some frustration rightly so I want to say they are a

dollar

and when you make them yourself it is such an inexpensive piece of decor that you are making.

I can see why there's frustration I mean I really just don't understand why Dollar Tree doesn't have crafters square in every store because it would sell out so Dollar Tree if you're listening to this go ahead with the show and stop crafter square at every

dollar

tree

because it's going to sell to the people it wants. that's cool, okay, that's my plea to the Dollar Tree, so since it's Easter and they have this adorable bunny plate, I'm going to show you an adorable DIY using these that I picked up. I want to say four of them that I'll be using in today's DIY, but for those of you who don't have the wooden plaques, you'll want to stay tuned because I'll also bring you a very similar DIY using the felt bunny garland that Dollar Tree has now. this is a pretty universal product i would think and i would also guess most dollar

tree

s will have this bunny garland and i honestly love the result of both they both turned out amazing and they are both two pieces i will keep and use year after year So let's not waste any more.

Time to move on to that and let me show you what I have in mind for today's DIY with these wooden plaques and bunny garland. This is a farm DIY. I can not stand. ok starting with this diy like i said i picked up four of these wooden bunny plaques you can use more you can use less its really up to you. I will also be using this Easter Spring Fat Quarter Pack from Emma and my luck I have an amazing 11 Fat Quarter Packs this Spring and Easter one is so

farmhouse

chic

I love the browns the whites the spikes I picked this up for five bucks and I have to Let me tell you that with this pack of hindquarters I made three total DIYs using it so it was worth the five bucks, this is what I have left after the first DIY. and you guessed it.

I don't want to sound repetitive, but yes, I'm covering these wooden plates with the fabrics starting with a good layer of Mod Podge over them. Once I have that Mod Podge I'm going to go ahead and lay the fabric down and then cover it with a second layer what I love about using fabric is that you can really make it to fit any decorating style if you pick a fabric that catches your eye and done with it and then milah and emma fat quarter sack is amazing it's an easter and spring theme they seem to come out with a lot of really cool themed packs and for the bargain price of five bucks at walmart you can't beat it once I have my four

bunnies

covered in fabric and I'm going to make each bunny and a different f. abric now don't throw away your scraps because you'll need them for the second DIY in this video i'm going to pop my plates in the oven at 135 degrees to speed up the drying process if you don't feel comfortable doing this by all means let it air dry.
Nothing bad has ever happened to me, so it's something I don't mind doing once they're nice and dry. I'll take an exacto knife and use the plate as a guide. I'm going to cut off the excess fabric oh my word seriously I'm obsessed with this fabric I'm 11 the color variation is just amazing it screams all the colors I love once everything is nice and dry taking on this brown acid free ink pad and a makeup sponge usually i would just use the ink pad to outline the outside of the board because it makes it so much easier its faster but with this board there are so many small areas that will make it difficult its use. it can cut itself, it's much easier to use something like your makeup sponge now If you don't want to outline your plate, you don't have to if you want to outline it in orange, pink, or blue and have it be vibrant. they suit my decor so i can use them in my house, really i'm just giving you an idea and you take what you like, leave what you don't and make it your own, so since i'm going with the

farmhouse

chic

feel. for this DIY again, I'm going to outline my four plates with the ink pad.
There are so many different ways to outline something like this. If you don't have an ink pad but do have some Waverly Wax Paint, you can. I also

look

at the

look

because it adds depth. I have this pack of pom poms that I picked up from Michaels. He says 199. I didn't pay 199 because whoever pays full price for anything at Michael's, you're going to use your coupon you're going to pay a little over a dollar. I'm going to use these for the bunny's tail and then I'm going to use some dollar tree twine. I'm going to make a loop and this loop will be four strands thick because I don't want it too thick but I don't want it too thin and I feel like four strands is a good amount to give this loop that's going to go right here on the bunny's ear, how

easy

that was and look how country house chic it looks.
I love these four fabrics. Sorry, for some reason the saturation on my camera turned blue and I didn't notice it, but I'm going to fix it, this is really blue. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm still learning how to use this camera. the

bunnies

on top of the ears to the tape and I'm going to separate each of the bunnies about four inches now when you glue them you want to make sure you leave about a foot of tape on each end of your bunny so that when you start, you want have about a foot because I'm going to use this area here to add more twine.
I took some twine and made a sort of hoop out of it, you can make any size you want. I'm going to fold it into the burlap just like I'm going to flip it over and just hot glue the burlap closed and cut off the excess burlap and I'm doing that. this so I have something to hang it from so I don't have to drive a nail through the burlap here at the end I made another, I guess, twine loop I added some brown and white baker's twine and one of my wooden buttons and I wanted to make this bow a little thicker, so I think I went with about twelve strands of twine.
I think this is the perfect thickness to add to each end of this garland. I also made some of my twine flowers if you haven't seen. video I'll link it in the description box below. They are very quick and

easy

to do. Economic. I made them the same way I did with the bow. Baker's twine as well as these wooden buttons you can find at Michaels. I bought a pretty big bag for only a couple of dollars a d what I love about them is that you don't have to paint them or you can paint them you don't have to buy a bunch of buttons to fit your needs you can make them to fit your needs now i'm in the another end of this Garland and I'm going to do the same thing with the twine adding this loop so I can hang it from each end and that's all there is now just finish off this end with another twine let's bow and we're done could you look there ?
This was such an inexpensive DIY with these amazing wooden plaques the Dollar Tree carries the burlap ribbon and this adorable stacked query by Emma and my lab that you can get at Walmart I love the result of this. I feel like it's such a farmhouse chic piece and it doesn't scream spring and Easter in the traditional sense now for those of you who can't get your hands on these wooden plaques you're going to pick up. one of these felt fun Garland is the cool thing about this set is you get eight bunnies For the price of one you get these pom poms you don't have to go out and buy so you get all of this for a dollar We are going to disassemble this garland and I will cut it. these pom poms and set them aside because we'll need them later don't worry too much about the little pom pom stump left behind it's not going to show we're just going to step over this fun DIY we'll use those bits of fabric left over from the beginning of this video you didn't throw away, and because these bunnies are bright and vibrant, we're just going to put a coat of white acrylic paint on top of this felt.
The nice thing about painting felt is that once you paint this felt, it will make it very hard and stiff, and these bunnies will be just as stiff as those wooden plates, which is why I love it. I love the size of these bunnies and what I love the most is that we get eight bunnies for the price of one and these are going to be just as good as the first one so on the front if a little bit of the color rubs off see a bit, don't worry too much, you can still slightly see the color, but in the back, I really wanted that final look, so I finished it off. with the cashew I also decided to add the black vichy fabric that I had left over from the Christmas season.
I did a lot of Christmas DIYs using this and I thought it would look perfect with this fabric too. I'm going to cover them the same way. As I did with the wooden plates, once they are completely covered, you are going to cut off the excess fabric for this garland. I'm going to change the way I outline the bunnies to distress them because my brown ink pad ran out of ink. and I don't feel like running out and getting some and since I have a lot of old Waverly wax I'm going to use that and apply it with this sponge and I'm going to do that with all eight bunnies that you I can tell just by looking at this how strong they are These fun ones came back just by painting and applying them. g the fabric for them, so there's really no difference between these smaller bunnies and the wooden board bunnies, just that you get more for your money.
I'm going to go ahead and replace the pom pom on this bunny's butt and like I said at the beginning if there's any cotton left on the fun felt before you put the fabric on there's no need to worry because when you hot glue this pom pom back on it won't look like your first DIY I'm going to give this bunny a cute bow of twine that's two strands thick and then again with Dollar tria's wired burlap ribbon. I'm going to use all nine feet and I'm going to evenly space each of the bunnies leaving a space between them that's going to be big enough for a flower when I cover these eight bunnies I decided to make four of them with a black king in fabric because I had a lot of this Christmas fabric left over and I really bought it with the intention of incorporating into each of the holidays through the new decor that I do through my videos, so I thought this was the perfect piece to incorporate. this so I made every other bunny with the black gingham and every other bunny with the lovely spring fabric bundle Emma Amaya and I had the perfect amount of fabric to make this and like I said I made a total of three DIY with that $5 bundle, you're going to have to keep an eye out for the next DIY I do because it's amazing what I did with this bundle of fabric, so you'll want to stay tuned because that video is coming up here next week for this garland. alda.
I wanted to show you an alternative to string flowers by using these flowers that came in everyone's Dollar Tree gift wrapping section. places you can get four of these in a pack for a dollar. I'm not a glamorous girl, so the center of these rhinestones I'll remove and replace with a wooden button again. These are wooden buttons. I was talking about what you can get from Michaels but first we make this flower just pure white and I don't want it to stand out? I want it to blend. I don't want the focus of this garland to be these white flowers, so I used my old Waverly wax.
I'm going to go ahead and wear down the edges of this kind of dirt on this flower, give it a little bit of age and that way it just blends in and really is a great alternative to 20 flowers. I mean, you'll get four. for a dollar and this will look just as cute. I'm going to add a useful little wooden button and I'm going to go with the larger wooden button for this and I'm going to go ahead and hit it with a little bit of Waverly's old fashioned wax just darkened it up and I love the look of these flowers.
I think I needed a total of six flowers for this and I'm going to hot glue them in between each of the bunnies and again on the ends of this. garland I'm going to finish the same way with the twine I'm going to fold into the burlap ribbon just like with hot glue it closed and I just cut off the excess ribbon there and made two of the thicker loops to add to the end of this garland too. I just didn't add the baker's twine because it just didn't feel right with the fabric flowers I was using, I thought I wouldI'm a little overdone with color and I'm going to see how stinkingly cute this garland turned out.
I love that you can take a felt Dollar Tree garland and you can turn it into something farmhouse chic with just a little bit of DIY, you could turn this into something glam, you could turn this into something cute for a baby's room, Endless possibilities and it's such an inexpensive way to transform these felts. Dollar Tree bunnies, oh my word, how do you keep it that way? the background for a while because I love it and it's Ally it goes well with my house decor and these bunny bumps. I just love them and the felt one was just as amazing.
What a great alternative to these wooden plaques. we only had to buy a pack of bunnies and we got eight of them love love love I hope everyone enjoyed this fancy Easter DIY with these Dollar Tree friends. i guessed it 5000 likes because as i always say each and every one of your thumbs up and comments below really helps my channel grow and helps youtube to notice me a little more until next time. hope you have a fantastic day happy crafting on a budget and bye for now everyone
