I took you to Kirkland and showed you some of their most expensive Christmas items. I came home and tried to use Dollar Tree. I cut down on secondhand clearance items to do it for a lot less money, so I'm doing it again today.

Tree items for this, so I'm starting with this little glass globe. I'm also going to use this circular piece of wood that actually came from Walmart for 98 cents and then I had this wreath shape that was actually in a two-pack and I had already used one, but the wood will be a perfect base to make that everything be really nice and sturdy and hold everything together and then the ring will be able to extend the sides so you have a place to stick it all together. my floral pieces, so the first thing I'm going to do is just place my wreath in there.

I'm going to add a ton of hot glue to connect it to the little wooden circle and I'm going to go ahead and paint this. green color so none of the glue or the natural wood color or the dark green will be very visible adding the same green color on all sides so everything blends in with the floral I have. I'm just doing a sloppy job because I know this isn't going to stand out. I was just worried because if some of the natural wood showed through between the floral pieces, it would be pretty obvious that this wasn't just a full candle wreath, so anyway.

I only did that to make myself feel better in case I had bare spots. , but it was pretty full, so I don't think it would have mattered if you hadn't painted this, the next thing I do is remove that label. from the bottom of my glass and I just hot glued it on and this will make it stay in place and be really nice and sturdy while I glue all my floral pieces together. I'm using a variety of these purple tulips they came from Walmart and then I also have a couple more stems that were from various places but these are all the ones I had on hand.
I love the little bits of lilac that are in these little floral bushels, so I'm going to go ahead and cut them out, but then I can. I'm also saving the purple tulips for another project, but I thought these little purple twigs would be perfect to hang around in here and then I knew they would need some filler, so I also have this other little floral piece and I'm removing some of them. of the greenery and just gluing it over the edges just to make sure the wreath and the metal ring on the outside are covered.
I'm making a smaller version than the original Kirklands candle holder I saw, but if you want a larger piece of glass, definitely check out Walmart because they have nice larger vases or candle holders. You can find mine in the craft section and also right next to the faux flowers, so be sure to check there if you want to make a larger piece. I make sure to stick all my floral pieces in the same direction just so they flow really nicely and look more like a little wreath or candle ring, but I just think it gives it a more polished look every time it flows really nicely on. one direction, especially since this little twig has bits of long grass on it, so it looks better that way.
I had some extra pieces and I just glued them into the holes that I had and then I'm using one of these colorful little 6-packs of eggs, these speckled eggs from Dollar Tree. I love them and wore them a ton last year so I'm excited to get more, but I decided to put them on. around this ring I know they are much more colorful than the Kirkland one, but I actually love these pops of color. I actually took out the yellow and I just didn't like the one that was so bright there, so I changed it. for the white and I just added a ton of hot glue and held up the twigs so they would stick as close to the bottom as possible.
I decided to add the bright pop of yellow by adding a candle in the center and I can always change it if I want to make it more neutral again but I think this is adorable it's very similar to what you find at Kirkland's for 30 bucks like I say this is a Slightly smaller version, but you can get the same look for a lot less. My next Easter DIY is

inspired

by this Kirklands hops sign. I thought it was really cute and I wanted to try to make it as close as possible, but still add my style to it.
I'm using 8 inches. We actually cut them out at home, we have a CNC wood cutter, but these exact size letters are available at Walmart and they are very cheap there, so you can always go in and check they are in the craft section and then I had grabbed this wreath from Dollar Tree and I thought it would work but it was too big and I wanted it to be smaller than the H and P so I took it apart and I'm trying to wrap it a little tighter. This was a little harder than it sounds because I had to spend a lot of time trying to shape it and I went ahead and just tied the top so I could shape it more as I went because I kept wanting to do it.
It sprouted and was a little difficult to handle, but after that I started, it was a little easier to push all the branches down and make it more into a circular cane. This was also very messy using the natural wreaths from Dollar Tree, so if you want to avoid the mess, I would try one of those little metal wreath rings that I used in the first DIY for the candle ring because I think that would be the size too. perfect to use there so I'm going to spray paint my letters the Kirklands letter the H was this turquoise color and then the P was pink so I wanted to try to make it as close as possible and then as it dried Spray paint, I'll go.
Go ahead and paint the egg, since it's Styrofoam. I'm not going to spray paint it. I'm going to paint it with some chalk paint and I'm just trying to spread all that glitter out, so I'm going to grab. my light blue, light pink and lavender color, so I can paint some of these eggs to put on the wreath. I'm going to let my eggs dry. I'm going to go ahead and put some greenery on this wreath so that it has a little base for these eggs and some flowers. I'm using this lavender from Dollar Tree and they have the lightest in the darkest.
I ended up using the lightest one. I wanted a more pastel look. with my pastel lettering and then I'm removing some of these leaves because I thought they were the perfect little green color and perfect for spring and I'm going to go ahead and alternate some of the leaves and the little pieces of lavender to go all the way at this pace I was in a bit of a rush on this project I was ready to put this all together I wish I would have waited because I ended up getting some paint on my sheets, but the paint seemed to take forever to dry on this styrofoam, so I would recommend letting it Let it sit and dry completely before handling them, but I knew the hot glue was going to melt into the Styrofoam anyway, so it wouldn't matter if the eggs were still a little wet.
If that makes sense, after putting all the eggs in there, I just filled in the little spaces with a little more lilac and then Kirklands let it have some distressing white in them, since I wanted to go ahead and add that to my lettering too , I accidentally got too much white paint on that side, but I ended up taking a dry brush that didn't have any paint on it and I went over it and smoothed it out and blended it a little bit. a little bit you could also take a little bit of a wet wipe and try to remove a little bit of that paint as well, so then I'm just laying everything down.
I wish my crown was a little smaller so it wouldn't cover my urine. a lot, but I still think it looks great and is about the right height as the letters and then I wanted this to stand up. If you don't want to ruin the woodwork, you can definitely just hot glue them together and hang them. I tied them with string or wired them together, but I really wanted them to stand up like the Kirklands piece, so I went out and grabbed this piece of molding that I cut to the right length and I'm going to go ahead and paint it white.
I ended up distressing this with a piece of sandpaper just to make it a little more rustic to match the lettering and the wreath and then I can let this dry completely and place it on the bottom. I knew that really fine letters to stand up were going to need some base support, so I ended up painting some of the wooden blocks from Dollar Tree. I painted them white hoping they would blend into that bottom trim piece I cut and finished. I only glued the bottom part of the letters. I actually didn't think this would work so well.
I thought it would just fall off, but I put some glue on there and picked it up and it actually stayed there nicely as I kept going. and I added the extra support so I just put hot glue on the bottom and one side and that was the perfect size to add to the back of this and I just helped it stand up and make it much sturdier after the letters were on instead the crown would have something to hold on to so I glued it to the front of the letters and like I say if I did this again I would make this crown a little smaller so it wouldn't cover the letter P. much, but maybe it's because it's also pink that it fades a little but I still like how it turned out but that was just the only tip if I redid it and then do the same with the crown.
I'm adding a little more support to the bottom so it has something to hold on to and this is what it all looks like together. I think it looks a lot like the original piece which was $24.99 and I made this for about five

dollar

s the only thing is I chose not to add the burlap Easter bunny ears to the top of my wreath but I'm excited with the result and you'll have to let me know in the comments below if you really like it. this Hopf sign and my next project for you is this beautiful bunny sign.
It looks like this bunny is jumping on this sign. I really like this eye. I knew I could come home and do this for a lot less. I was very excited to be it. I was able to find this sign, it was actually from Valentine's Day, but having the two airplanes is exactly what I needed for this project. Plus, I was able to tear off those little aluminum hearts and save them for another project, which I'm also really excited about. I had this little piece of wood so I went ahead and put it to the side and I'll just go ahead and avoid all this shine and turn it over and a lot of times I like to cover the back with brown paper or sand it.
Take it off and paint it to give it a nice polished finish if you ever wanted to give it away, but today I was just avoiding that shine and I can always cover it up later, so I go ahead and take out those staples every time I pull. When removing that little burlap ribbon that was holding it together, all those staples came loose easily and then one of the boards on the Kirkland sign was a little smaller so I'm stacking them and measuring where I can cut this and then that oval piece of wood that I bought at Dollar Tree was perfect for the bottom piece of the bunnies' tail, which appears to be jumping on it, so I was really excited and thought it was perfect for this project, so I got this board. a little shorter without using power tools.
I'm just scrubbing the place so I can take a little break there. It didn't quite break so I had to go ahead and cut it again, but then I sanded it and it was a perfect and easy way to make a shorter piece on the Kirkland piece. One of the boards is white so I was going to go ahead and paint everything white and then I thought this would be really pretty if I made it a little bit rustic looking so I tried to do less on the sides of my sign so which I went ahead and emptied my brush into the bunny's tail because I knew I was going to paint that white and then you I can see I'm going over the edges slightly so I don't have to worry as much, but I can still get the look I'm going for after painting that side of white and have the bunny's tail completely white. then I'll go in and paint the other board with some of my truffle chalk paint, which is Waverly brown.
No, when I see you, my heartstarting to get ready, he said: I don't know if I like this next one, I'm going to choose. Pick up some of that excess white paint that I had used before and go over this sign and just add a little bit of shading and texture and it really makes it look a lot prettier, I think by adding the additional colors in there and then while I had that brown on my brush. I went ahead and circled the white and I think it makes it look a lot more put together than just the bright white so I needed some little bunny legs and I wanted to distinguish them from wood so I thought it would be cool to try cutting them out of some random pieces of wood from Dollar Tree.
I probably won't really

decor

ate them for st. St. Patrick's Day, so I'll probably never use this little cauldron, but I thought it would be really fun to cut them up. It was much harder to cut than I expected. I actually have a jigsaw, so it would probably cut it just fine. can be done with scissors. I went ahead and tried to finish it, but it was a little messy and I would recommend being careful because this wood splinters very easily. I also painted the feet with my white chalk paint and then I keep referring to the photo to see how I wanted to do the bottom.
I knew I needed a big fluffy tail and I knew the

pom poms just weren't going to work, but I actually remembered I had some. fake snowballs I bought at Target for Christmas so you can also make your own tassels or pom poms with yarn so you can put it on the back, this actually turned out too big so I ended up cutting it off. I split it in half and then added a little bit of brown paint to it to match my sign more and kind of darkened the white around the edges, just barely tipped it with a little bit of brown paint to do that.
Combine the same and then it's always fun to paint these adorable bunny feet. I simply made a large circle for the heel and then painted using the back of my brush. I just did three little dots to make the toes and this paint was really thick so it took a little while to get it on there but I just let it dry more and it was pretty neat how it stuck a little bit and was really thick and then, When it came time for the ears, I have this width. burlap I think it came from Dollar General and I'm going to fold it and cut off an ear so I can glue two pieces together so it's a little bit stiffer than just making one sheet of burlap and Then it was time to glue everything together.
I'm adding hot glue to the bottom of the bunny so it can sit on top of that board and then joining those two boards together using some of my large popsicle sticks that I picked out. These were at Walmart and it was a little tricky because the boards weren't flat because of the bunny's tail, but I had to turn it around and do it in a weird way, but I glued the sticks together and then slid them in. below, I haven't been able to find the happy Easter metal letters at Dollar Tree yet, if you have those that would be perfect to use for this project, but like I say, my Dollar Tree is always the last one to get something and the one. that's the closest to me so it's easy for me to print them out and I was able to doodle on the back and trace them and then I'll be able to see exactly where I need to paint.
I started with this light blue. color because that is the type of color that was used in the Kirklands piece. Mine was too light and just didn't look the way I liked, so I ended up adding a little more turquoise and blending it. the two together, so it was between the two shades of blue for the word at the top, which is happy. I ended up doing it in white and then I tried to distress it and accidentally sanded it too much so I had to go to the end and add a little extra paint so I don't recommend getting too excited every time you sand the letters but I love how it looks when you sand them. you review lightly, somehow it does. it blends in more and feels like it's more part of the art rather than just being on top of it and that's how this one came together.
I love it compared to the real Kirklands one and I got it for about four bucks compared to the Kirklands one which was originally 1699. but I think it's a beautiful little dupe and I'm excited to hang it up over the Easter season. Let's recap what we did today. Be sure to leave in the comments which of these projects was your favorite. I love them all, so I'm not even going to say "oh, I'll let you tell me your favorite below." I hope you have a lot of fun coming with me. I love these types of videos, as long as you can see a picture of what you're actually trying. to work on and then you see the result, it doesn't always turn out perfect, but it comes out in a way that you know you achieved it and you put your own spin on things, so you liked it better as long as it's not. like a bug or something didn't work, so if you enjoyed this video, give me a big thumbs up like I said before.
