gift

s or putting together DIY gifts is whether this will be useful to the person who will receive it, so all this. Gift

ideas

I put together, I tried to make sure they were really useful and something that someone would really want to have in their home, so the first thing we're going to do is a Christmas medley.

I love making them during the fall and winter. They smell great in your house and I'm going to show you how easy it is to put together a kit. I think this would be a great gift. If you wanted to make several of them, you could make them as teacher gifts. They are gifts for the neighbors. So many different things, so you'll need a small jar. You can use a glass jar. I actually had trouble finding a small jar at Dollar Tree, so I ended up buying one at Ikea. You can order all of these. items from the supermarket and I think it is best to buy them fresh, so I will start my jar by putting two clementine oranges.

Just two small oranges will work great. You can also sprinkle some fresh blueberries, some cinnamon sticks and then. Get some sprigs of fresh rosemary to put on them too. I'm going to put in some whole nails. That's all the ingredients I'm going to put in, but now I'm going to go back and refill them, so I'm going to add some additional blueberries and items to fill the jar. Now close the jar to personalize it. I created some labels to place at the top and have this as a free printable for you to scroll down in the description. box and print this printable to use in your jars as well, the file is a pdf and I printed it just on some Christmas scrapbook paper I already had on hand.

I'm going to cut out the labels and then Hot glue it on top now to finish the container you can wrap it with twine and tie it so now the label you created basically said put this in a pot add water and cook to low heat if you have never tried this it makes your house smell so amazing you can add water and use it again the next day but you can really leave it on all day and I love the smell of these I think every time that you go to someone's house, even if it's a very small gathering, you bring some kind.

The hostess gift is always something very nice and thoughtful. We're going to put together a really personalized flower container because I think flowers always make a great gift, so grab a vase from Dollar Tree and I'm going to paint it. with white paint, in fact I bought this white acrylic paint from Dollar Tree because I was having a lot of trouble finding Waverly paint, for some reason they weren't white so I started using this paint and it didn't stick well. it dried completely and then I went back with a coat of Waverly white chalk paint once I found it and everything was great now that it has a chance to dry completely we're going to do a marble dipping technique now that I've done this on my channel several times, but I thought it would be fun to use a red color, so I'm going to use red spray paint.
If you don't have spray paint, you can always use nail polish which also works great. so if you want to fill a tub with water next you will add the spray paint to the top of the water, the more spray paint you use the more paint will be in your container so if you want it to be something like all red use a lot of spray paint if you just want a little, make some spray paint and then dip it in my recommendation is to do a little because you can always add more to your project so you're I'm going to add the spray paint, dip your project in pulling it up and then you are going to repeat those steps on all sides.
I think I did this maybe three times, so I added more spray paint, wet the vase, and picked it up now. While I was doing this I got some strange lines where I had dipped and lifted it so I corrected that by adding a little more spray paint and putting it where the line was and that eliminated the lines for Next I bought a dozen roses at my local supermarket for 12 and I'm going to place them in my vase. Now my tip for arranging the flowers is that I like to put the biggest ones at the back and as they go towards the front I gradually make them a little shorter and just take your time and make this a pretty arrangement.
You can leave it as is or you can add a bow which I added on this red velvet bow from a ribbon that I picked up last year at Walmart and I think this is a beautiful gift to bring to anyone's home. I am known for my photo embellishments every year. I create photo ornaments. I think in the world we live in where people don't really print many photos anymore, getting a real printed photo ornament is such a special gift that you can't go wrong giving someone a personalized photo ornament of them or yourself. , or there are so many ways to do it, so I'll use some wooden trim pieces that I'll link. in the description box where I bought them and I'm going to go over with my Waverly white chalk paint and paint lightly around the edges so how do I print my photos?
I download the Walgreens app and I will upload them to Walgreens I think they are about 35 cents for a 4x6 photo. I send them to the store. I'll pick them up an hour later. It's very easy to do and then I have photos to use in my projects. This is a really economical project. So I'm going to take my photo, put my wooden ornament on top and just draw a circle around the ornament and then from there I'm going to cut it out by cutting a little bit further into that circle because I want that wood. to show around the edge and I will repeat this with all my photos.
I'm going to add a matte mod podge that you can pick up at Dollar Tree onto the wood and then place my photo on top below. add a layer of mod podge on top. I'll let them dry completely once they're dry. I'm going to use a small screwdriver that I only had to make a hole in the image and then I'm going to fit it. my twine through the hole one thing I love to do is add the year to my photo embellishments so on the back I'll just write what the picture was and the next year you can add a layer of mod podge on top let Let that dry and this is a perfect gift for Christmas, so the next gift is ideal for any girl or woman in your life.
I picked up these marble plates from Dollar Tree. I posted this tour on my Instagram. If you don't follow me on Instagram, I post. Lots of behind the scenes stuff so make sure you follow me. My Instagram is Liz from DIY. I had an idea to do a really cool marble painting technique with these plates so I took a selection of blue paints I already had on hand and some white and to help the paint pour, it's easier if you you add a little bit of water so i took each of my paints and put them in a paper cup then i added some water and mixed the paint with the water from there i can find all my paints in a cup now i think i added too much water to some of my paints, so I would probably use a little less water, but you know, lesson learned, it still worked.
Okay, now make sure you wear gloves for this activity because it's very messy and set out some kind of tray or cardstock where you can take them and let them dry for a good 24 hours before you start, so I started by I'm pouring the paint onto my plates now. to give it a fun marble look. You want to pick up your plates and you're going to move them from side to side. You can also twist them to maybe give them a nice swirly look. but just move them around to give it that nice fresh, marbled look on top of your plate.
Also make sure you cover all sides of your plate and that there are no areas where the paint won't cover it. I let them dry for a good 24 hours, usually I let them dry like in place and then maybe after 12 hours I pick them up and move them somewhere else because you'll also have paint left on the back and you want them to really have a good chance to dry off and then these are great gifts to add jewelry to and they're just a really nice gift, maybe you could gift them with a set of earrings or something to personalize it, but also give them a new gift who doesn't like to receive. coasters when I was at Dollar Tree I found these little popsicles so I thought it would be fun to make a cute set of coasters so I actually like the natural wood on these but if you wanted you could always stain them a darker wood.
I'm going to paint the bottom section with a coat of Waverly white chalk paint. I love these new transfers that Dollar Tree has, so I cut out numbers one, two, three, and four, but you can really do anything with these if you'd like to personalize them. with someone's name you could do that too so I'm just going to remove the backings and transfer these numbers to the edge of my coasters once you apply the numbers I'm just going to remove the top plastic and this is a very easy gift to put on. together now, this next gift is great for anyone who likes to journal.
I know my daughters really like journaling and drawing, so I was thinking more about my daughters every time I created this next project, so from Dollar Tree I grabbed one of their notebooks. I also grabbed some cork sheets. I love them. I picked up a set of stickers. I decided to go with some travel stickers, but Dollar Tree really has some great sticker selections and then I also grabbed some fun pins, so you'll grab your cork sheets. and place your notepad on top and you'll just draw around the notepad and then you'll cut out that sheet of cork.
I originally thought I could wrap the cork sheet on all sides except the cork sheets. They're not really long enough so I decided I was just going to cut squares for the front and back and then the side is a nice black so I thought I could stick with that black and it would look just as good. I want to cut out the cork sheets once you have them for the front and back. I love how these cork sheets have a self-adhesive back, so simply peel off the self-adhesive backing and stick it to your journal, then simply cut off the excess. cork that is still hanging in your journal.
I had fun adding some travel stickers. Now I'm only using a few. In fact, I'm giving my daughters these stickers with the journal so they can add them inside. Now add some fun pins. or crayons or whatever you want on the front and then I'll use some ribbon that I had on hand and I'll tie the pins to the journal and I know my daughters would love to get this gift in their stockings so that's okay guys. let me know which gift you like best that I showed you today and share your
