50 Dollar Tree DIYs...Beginner Friendly

I think these dishes are going to be amazing. I have a great idea, so I'm going to get a plate and a bowl. Well guys, this is the simplest DIY, but it will be perfect for having guests over this summer or maybe for yourself. You are going to invite people to dinner, take your bowl and put some E6000 on the base, then add your plate on top, wash it very well and then you can use it to display cookies, muffins, fruits, whatever you have for your party and the tray. It only cost you two

s and fifty cents, so when I was browsing Dollar Tree like I normally do, I came across these really cute little soap containers and I thought the shape of these was really cute, plus you had a lot of product with them, so What I decided to do was paint the container with this.

This is like a five-minute DIY. I removed all the labels from the mild soap. I took the cap off the soap and then used some painter's tape on the end. above and then all I did was spray paint this a gray color once it dried I put the lid back on and this is how cute it looks in my bathroom for a

so when I was shopping at Dollar Tree I found These incense containers I thought were very cute. I also grabbed some glass jars so I wanted to make these instant container lids for my jars so they fit nicely in there so I'll start by filling the incense hole at the top with some wood filler. foreigner I will let it dry completely next.

I'm going to spray paint the tops. I decided to use a navy blue color, but you can use any color that fits your bathroom color scheme and I'll start with the spray. painting them on the bottom once it dries I'll go in and spray two coats on top. Next, all you have to do is fill your glass jars with whatever bath items you want to put in there and simply put the lids on top. These will look very cute in your bathroom and will be totally functional, as well as being foreign. Tes are super popular right now, everyone wants to add them to your house, but sometimes you may not know how to connect them, so I want to give them to you. an option that you don't have to wire up at all and is really affordable, so for this project you will need one of their clotheslines, a napkin holder from Dollar Tree and you will also need two Puck lights from Amazon.

I will link them in the description box and a placemat. I bought my placemat at Walmart. You want to get your drying rack from Dollar Tree because it's definitely going to be a little flimsier and more flexible, so I'm going to To start, I pushed my clothesline around my napkin holder to create a nice arch. Once I have it in the right shape I need to attach the clothesline to my napkin ring so I started by adding some floral wire and this held it up. It's okay, but then I went in with a zip tie and it worked even better to secure it in place once you have the base in place.

Now you can go in and wrap it around the edges, so I found a placemat that fit almost perfectly. I finished. having to cut out some of the drying rack at the bottom, then I'll just wrap the placemat and hot glue it to the back. I bought my Puck lights in a pack of two, you will have to put a battery in them to make them work. Now to connect them you will use the command strips that were provided. I'll place them on the back of my Puck lights and then place one on top. from my napkin holder and the other one, I'm going to turn the sconce upside down and put it on the bottom of my napkin holder that way, when they're on, you'll have light Illuminating from above and from above.

At the bottom they are touch-sensitive, so all you have to do is touch them to turn them on. You can also get some remote ones that are a little more expensive if you want to go that route and attach them to the wall, all you have. What you need to do is put some command strips and this is what it looks like on my wall. Next I'm going to create a decorative accent. All you're going to need are some foam balls. I got two different sizes from Dollar Tree and these are also I'm going to need some nautical rope now.

I buy my nautical rope on Amazon on a large spool. It's also available at Dollar Tree, so whichever one works best for you I'll also put the link to the one I buy in the description box. It's a really easy project to do. You'll start by hot gluing your foam ball and coiling your nautical rope. You will do this until you reach the other side. Thank you. Now it's okay if you leave a little bit of an opening on each side now, when I made the first one I realized I had probably left too much of an opening so I added an extra nautical rope to that.

I'm going to wrap the nautical rope in the other direction making sure I cover that blank space that I had on either side, so I'm just going to wrap until I cover the entire foam ball and then I'm going to cut it out and hot glue it on its place. Repeat those same steps to create the second, smaller foam ball. I just made two, you can make all five or you know how many you want for your project, but they look great as a little accent in your decor, so it was at Pottery Barn's. website looking for some inspiration and saw this set of marble shaped soap containers, toothbrush holders and thought we could recreate this from Dollar Tree so I grabbed a tray, soap dish, soap container and a toothbrush holder toothbrushes, and some of them were already white. but I wanted them all to be the same color, so I started by spraying them with two coats of white spray paint.

Then I wanted to give them a marble look, so what I did was take a tub of water. Now that you've seen me. I did this on my channel before and I wanted them to be gray so I had this spray paint that was like translucent and I decided to use it for this project so what you're going to do is to spray your spray paint on the surface of the water, what it will do is create fun little patterns, then you can take your items and dip them in the water. Once you lift the item, you will see any design. you put water in your container so I repeated this with all my items to give them a marble finish.

I had a little problem with the tray. I had to move it to get it into the water where I wanted it to be and the thing is, if you don't feel like they have enough paint, just add more paint to the water and rearrange the items until you get the desired look. Now, another thing I do when I take items out. I'll take a paper towel and wipe off any excess that I don't like and that just helps as you go through the process. This is what my Dollar Tree marble containers look like on my dresser.

Next, I'll show you how I created a decorative vase. Now for this project, you will only need two items. You will need a clear vase from Dollar Tree. You will also need some of your bamboo. skewers now guys, I love these bamboo skewers. I use them in many different crafts and DIY projects and this is the time of year to collect them. You can get them in the smallest size and also in the longest ones. I recommend purchasing a few packages. Of both I wanted my bamboo skewers to surround my clear jar so I needed to cut them out so I was experimenting with the best way to do this so I placed them on a board and used frog painter's tape. to keep them in place because I was hoping to cut them all the same size and taped them on both sides.

I figured out exactly where I wanted to cut them. I left the vase clear and then drew a line so I knew where they needed to be cut, then I used my saw which is great for cutting smaller items, then I saw mist through the bamboo skewers and as I was doing this I was moving them around and my lines weren't straight and so I cut them halfway and thought it would be fine for the rest. I would just remove them once you create a small cut, you can always remove them at the ends, this also works well if you are just making one of them, you can always cut it at the end and then remove the excess.

Next I was going to place my bamboo skewers in this clear jar. I found the E6000 to be the best option. If you want to put the E6000 on with just a small end of your bamboo skewer so you don't add too much glue because we're not going to paint this. You don't want a lot of excess glue, so I added a little bit on top and a little bit on the bottom I put my bamboo skewer, then I went about half an inch and put another one on. I did this around the clear jar. Now the E6000 usually takes overnight to dry, so I put some painter's tape very lightly around my jar.

It's not like I press it firmly and I'll let it sit overnight the next day. I went in and removed the painter's tape and everything was stuck together nicely. I styled this on my coffee table with some faux stems. Weird idea you can make this great for your outdoor dining tables or maybe you have an outdoor coffee table and want to buy five more solar lights. I have these in silver. You will also need a 4x4 board now. I bought mine at Lowe's, but you can pick them up anywhere, so the first thing I did was simply cut my board to the size of my coffee table.

You can make this any size you want, you can make it smaller or larger. but I just wanted it to fit well on my coffee table. It is actually a very easy DIY to do, but you will need some tools, one of which you will need is a large set of drill bits to create holes. To get the solar lights in, I removed the bottom piece of my silver solar lights. I was trying to figure out which drill bit was going to be about the same size as my solar light, so once I picked one out, I added it to my drill.

And then I'll link all of these tools in the description box for you guys. I went in and marked my board. My board was about 30 inches long, so every five inches I made a mark so I would know exactly where to drill next. I went in with my drill and drilled holes straight down. I then put a solar light in that hole just to make sure it would fit there securely. You can always adjust the bit size and then I sanded my entire board. and I came with a dark stain now to stain a board. I usually just apply the color with a brush and then immediately wipe it off with a paper towel.

Once the board is dry, you can add your lights and that's how this sunlight centerpiece is created. It turns out that have you seen containers where people put longer matches or colored matches? I find them really attractive. I feel like it's a really cute home decor piece that you can match with your decor and I wanted to recreate it. for less, so I went to Dollar Tree and bought some of their clear shower rings. Next, I'm going to glue them together, so the glue I'm using is a glue that holds very well and will need to sit overnight. so I added a little glue around the edges and then put the rings on one by one.

Once I stacked them, I set them aside and let them dry overnight as if I hadn't done anything to them when I came back the next day. The next day the glue stuck very well, I painted it with two or three coats of flat white spray paint. I have a speckled stone look so I found this spray paint at Walmart. It's called stone spray paint and it's great when you spray it it just gives it this dirty finish so I lightly sprayed it all over the odd piece from there you can add a little bit of filler to the base of this and then you can add your matches .

I grabbed mine. from Amazon, I'll link them in the description box and I think it looks really cute sitting next to candles or other foreign decor. When I was at Dollar Tree I came across these ferns that are amazing. Vegetation for Dollar Tree. I'm really excited that they have something like this, so I bought a couple of them. I also bought this large container. I think it's supposed to be a drinking glass, but I thought it would make a perfect vase. I started by spray painting the vase. two coats of white spray paint and I know I said all these things now.

I wanted it to have a speckled look so I took some black paint and mixed it with water and then just applied the paint to my jar. I didn't really like how it looked so I went in with a sponge that you can pick up at Dollar Tree so I rubbed it and the stains were much duller until I'm going to die with my ferns that I wanted to imitate. the look of feathers or pompous grass that is seen everywhere and is so popular. I took some beige colors that I had now. I know this color is a little different.

It's a color my husband had. It's a camouflage color, so I started by painting everything. of the ferns on both sides with this kind of dark tan color, once they had a chance to dry I realized I wanted them to have a little more dimension so I went back with a lighter shade. Now I just made the tone lighter. in moderation to give me that two-tone effect. I added the ferns to my containerand here's a look at the final look. When I was DIYing the palette before, I was looking at it and thinking, you know this would make a really cool soap dish because wooden items are so trendy right now, all I did with this little palette was stain it with one coat of that Golden Oak stain and then I wiped it with a paper towel and put it out with something decorative.

Soap, doesn't it look cute sitting on my dresser? You guys will have to let me know if you like it, so this next project is probably my favorite one I created in this entire package. I love these little candy dishes. that you can buy at Dollar Tree nowThese are located in the party supplies section and I always like to choose three groups of three, but they look much better in my opinion, so I'm going to start by putting a layer of painter's tape on top of each one of these. containers and I'm going to try to make them all look the same and have the tape about the same level, then I'm going to spray everything with flat black spray paint, now this will require at least two coats and I also flipped them over so they were upside down so they wouldn't spray the inside of my containers.

Once it has a chance to dry, I'll remove the tape and then you can do so many things with this. I'm going to fill it. with some natural stones from Dollar Tree and then placing three of my favorite succulents, this is so quick and easy to make and how adorable does this look sitting on my table overseas, so I love the look of the wall hangings, but for me they have to be super simple because I just don't have the patience to tie all the knots so here is a super simple macrame wall hanging that anyone can make so what you want to do is buy a plunger at Dollar Tree overseas, now the next step is optional I wanted to cut out the small sections of Ridge.

I just used my saw to cut that edge, but you don't have to do that, you can also cover it with the thread. Next, I'll use some basic white thread. which I bought at Michael's, but the last time I was at Dollar Tree they had yarn and this was the first time I saw it, so if you're lucky you might be able to find some yarn at Dollar Tree. I know they had white in a bunch of other different colors. I used two spools of thread to make this entire wall hanging, so what I did was I simply took a piece of thread, wrapped it around the edge, tied it in place, and then made a hanger wrapped on both sides.

I tied it so it was secure so I could hang it. Now whenever you make a wall hanging, you want your pieces to be longer than you think because once you start tying knots or doing different things to it, you make the thread much shorter, so I'm using a piece of wood about two feet long. I started wrapping the twine around this wood about 14 times and then when I finished one bundle I took it off the wood and cut off one of the edges and repeated this for all my bundles once I had all my bundles created I put them on top of my wooden rod now this is where the super easy part comes into play.

I bought some clear elastic bands from Dollar Tree that just arrived. the hair section you can use them as little boys hair once I put the yarn on I took a rubber band and tied it on top and did that with all my yarn bundles that I put on next. another elastic band about an inch down so I wanted to create a V pattern so to do that all I did was leave out one of the strings hanging on each side each time I went down so it gradually built up. my V shape until all I had left was an elastic band.

I promised this was totally easy to create to finish. You want to cut the edges now, sometimes I cut a V shape but I thought it's already forming a V with My elastic band I wanted to cut it straight which is a little harder so I did my best to try to I smoothed out the thread and then I cut it straight and as you can see I think it looks adorable especially here on my backdrop so when I was on the McGee and CO website I found this next piece of wall art and It was incredibly expensive but honestly so simple and something that I knew could recreate this wall art was over three thousand dollars, so I thought, let's move on. and recreate it.

I found a pack of canvases at Five Below that I bought for five dollars. Now for this project you will only need a macrame cord and a nautical rope. I'm going to combine the two that I use. Regularly in the description box below, now on each of my canvases I marked where I wanted the center strip to be on both canvases. I started with one of my threads, hot glued it to the back and then wrapped it. I hot glued it to the other side where I had measured it and then continued wrapping it by hot gluing it periodically.

Now for some of my tips whenever you wrap thread or cord around a canvas you want to try to preserve the thread or cord. as close as possible, it just gives it a much higher and lower look and it looks much more fluid now for this project, you want to try to keep it as level as possible, that will only help you when you get to the finish, so I wrapped the cord around the middle and then once I got to the other lines I had marked, I just hot glued it into place and cut off the excess.

Now I'm going to take my other rope and hot glue it on. the edge where I stopped on my middle part and I'm going to wrap it by hot gluing it until I get to the end thanks foreigner you want to start adding more hot glue just to give it more longevity. to keep it in place when it's hanging on the wall and I'm going to wrap it as well making sure to completely cover the canvas. You want to make sure the canvas is completely covered and then you can hot glue the excess to the back once I do one side, I'm going to turn around and do the other side now.

I was thinking this project was actually going to take a while, but it went considerably faster than I thought, so if you're hesitant to try it, it really wasn't. It's a long time to create weird steps on your second canvas, but you're just going to change the materials, so you're going to start with your macrame by placing it in the middle and then for your edges you can add your nautical row. I'm going to follow the same tips making sure to add them close together and covering the canvas on either edge. Thank you. I really love this grouping of two, it adds so much texture to my walls.

Next we will make a hanging planter I love the look of hanging planters they are great as a corner in your office you can also put them in your kitchen and bathrooms are also great for these because sometimes bathrooms are small and you don't have much space to decorate, so you could put one of these, maybe on top, like in the bathroom area, that's a great option for these as well, so you're going to take any small container. This is one I bought at the thrift store and I sprayed it with two coats of matte black spray paint.

Now, to create the hanging part of my planter, I wanted to use some faux leather. I couldn't find any at Dollar Tree and went online and found this whole package. faux fur on Amazon that I could probably use for a ton of projects at a super cheap price. I'll link it in the description box for you guys, if you want to check it out, I'll use this medium faux fur color. so I'm going to start by cutting out a square that will fit nicely around my planter. Next I wanted to create holes on the edges of the square I cut, so I'll just use my scissors and my wire. cutters to make a small hole now I don't want it to be too big because I'm actually trying to put a nautical rope in there and if it's too big the nautical rope will just come out so I made a sort of Next I'm going to use my nautical robe, this again.

I'll link it for you. You know I use this all the time, but I'm going to cut a long strip. Actually, I'm going to do four. strips to use in this project I'm going to pass the nautical rope through the faux leather that I want to show, it will actually sit on the bottom once I pass the rope I'm going to tie a knot at the bottom I'm going to repeat this with the others three sides now, once I've got all the rope through, I'm going to put my pot in the middle. I'm going to cut any excess string at the bottom of my knots and the plant I'm going to use is one that I love from Ikea, it's a great hanging plant that usually comes out this time of year, but it costs about five and six dollars , that's great guys I have several of these if you have an Ikea I would definitely choose it so I'm going to put that plant in the middle.

I'm going to pick up my planter just to see what it looks like. I'm going to put them together and this is how it's done. The pot looks hanging. I think it's adorable. The foreign barn has a really cool white mirror with this white background and I love how it looks. I knew I could recreate this so I grabbed a piece of white foam board from Dollar Tree. I also had one of their black circular mirrors on hand, they sell them at Dollar Tree, so I'm going to remove the mirror part of the frame and then I'm going to paint the frame with two coats of white spray paint and then I used a ruler and traced where I wanted to cut next.

I decided to use the exact knife they have in the craft section at Dollar Tree for this project and I will say it cut very well. I was able to cut the foam board. Now with two cuts, sometimes when you cut foam board it doesn't turn out perfect on the edges so I went back with just a little piece of sandpaper and sanded it until it was like you know exactly how I needed it to look weird to continuation. I'm going to put my mirror together then I'm going to add some hot glue to the back of the mirror and put it on my foam board and here's a look at what the styled mirror looks like now the next DIY is like a DIY of two parts.

I had this piece of wood slab that I wanted to create a riser with, so I also found these hexagon beads on Amazon and I'm going to hot glue four of them to the bottom of my wood piece. This created a really cute riser for now on top of the Riser I wanted to add some fun jars that would look cute this spring so you can get these jars at Dollar Tree. These two jars I had were actually from the thrift store. I'm going to use a spray paint called Krylon sea glass and I have one that is green but I also have an amber color, you guys are watching me try out one of my new favorite products which is this little Turn Style that I bought for spray painting .

I love this for spray painting when it's cold outside because I can turn it around while I'm spray painting and spray it, but then it has a handle on the bottom so I can pick it up and carry it inside to dry. because you guys know you can't leave things outside when it's not warm enough to dry them so I'll link this product to you in the description box but I think I'm going to buy a couple more of these because you guys know I'm spray painting all the time , so I applied a light coat of spray paint to both jars.

Next, I have this piece of flexible wood that I'm going to link for you that I'm going to cut out and make a little base on the bottom. so I made sure I had enough to go over the other piece of wood, maybe a couple of centimeters, then I'll add a little bit of E6000 to the back of these pieces. I'm also going to put hot glue on it to make it stay. into place and I'm going to wrap it around the bottom edge, that's how these vases turned out with my wooden riser in my last five videos below.

I picked up this rug. I had no idea what I was going to do with it and it's actually I've been sitting in my office for a while and I've been thinking, what do I want to do with this? Then the idea occurred to me that maybe I should try turning it into a piece of wall art, so I grabbed one of those plastic trays. from Dollar Tree for this project I cut my rug so that it hung over the edges of this tray about two inches. I placed some Mod Podge on the bottom of my tray.

Why do you want to let me go? Then I put the rug in place. I noticed that the Mod Podge wasn't holding it in place, so I went back and added some hot glue as well to finish the edges. I cut off any excess and then turned it to the back and hot glued it on. in place now, after hot gluing, I noticed some of the mat lifting up so I just took a plate and put a weight on it to hold it in place until it had a chance to dry completely with the mod. Podge and styled it on my dresser with a few other items and I think it looks amazing not changing it.

Next, I'll show you how to make some adorable triangular trivet coasters. You could really use either one, which is two products. so you will need some felt. I think if you have a slightly stronger felt that doesn't fold as well, it will probably work better for this project. I bought a felt in cream color, you are going to do it too. I need these accountshalf circle now I have used them in projects before linking them in the description box and then you will need some type of adhesive. I recommend something like E6000 or a construction grade adhesive of that type. of settings overnight so I'm going to start by creating a triangle shape so I'm going to put my beads on the bottom and continue until I get to the top so for my trivet I didn't want to see the Felt underneath and the only way I I was able to figure out how to do it was to put the beads in there and then cut them out, so that's what I did.

I put all my beads in there and then cut both edges, now some of my beads fell out while I was doing that, but that was no big deal. I could just put my beads back in place and that way I made sure you weren't going to see the felt underneath, so I created three different trivets using the Same method, I just resized now, if you want them all to be the same size, you can do that. I wanted mine to have a little variation, but this is how these trivet coasters turned out when I'm at Dollar Tree.

I always pass by those green wreath shapes and never pick them up, but I thought, you know? I'm going to take a stack of these and DIY them, so we'll turn these wreath shapes into a vase. slash pot I've seen on many different high-end places, so I'll start by removing the labels that are there. Luckily, they came off pretty easily, so I want to stack them to make it really easy to. I'm just going to hot glue them together and stack them? Now you want to make sure you concentrate the glue on the inside so you don't see glue on the outside which never looks good.

Now I started putting some E6000 with it. but as I went up I realized that hot glue would work just as well as I was stacking them. I added some additional hot glue on the inside for added support. Thanks below. I'm going to take this outside. I ended up doing three coats. of a cream colored spray paint here because this is foam so it will absorb that spray paint and just soak it up so you're probably going to have to apply three thick coats here so I just did three coats of let dry on the medium I'm going to put this on my Turn Style spray paint that I bought.

I'll link it for you in the description box. I just bought this and it's great. I love spray painting now to give it that special touch. for that high end look I found this spray paint called Stone and it's going to give it a cool speckled look so I'm just going to spray a coat along the entire edge a little bit of this goes a long way so you don't want to to spray a ton once it had a chance to dry you can put any stem in here but I wanted to use Dollar Tree just to show you how you can do this with Dollar Tree items so I'm going to fill in at the bottom you can put anything.

Walmart bags. The Dollar Tree stacks work great and then Dollar Tree has several new spring stems. These are the ones I picked up and I'll put them in my bin now if you want more. from a long arrangement, you can do that too, but you'll probably have to pick them up at Walmart or Hobby Lobby and that's how this planter turned out. You may have seen the following item I found in the stores I thought of. They would make great Patchwork wall art, so I chose six of them. I have a lot of sample paints in my office and I took a few samples of different paints.

I grabbed five of them that I thought would go well together and were the colors I wanted. It's displayed in my house and I think the best way to apply the paint is with a flat brush, so I used a flat brush and painted on the inside of the odd hexagons when I started painting. I really wanted to place them together to make sure. Which I was happy with where all the colors were so I laid them out and picked my colors as I went foreign once I finished all the painting I put them together with E6000 just to keep them in place I let it sit overnight at next day.

I wanted to give this even more extra support so I flipped it back and just grabbed some popsicle sticks I had. You could use any piece of wood you have. I split them in half and then hot glued them together. the stitching on the patchwork wall art and you can hang it in your home and I love the texture it provides and it is a super unique piece of wall art overseas so one of the questions I get asked frequently is about the center box that I use in several of my videos, so I actually wanted to create another center box with wood that I had in my garage, so I found two scrap boards that were one by six, now I had to use two because that was what I had in my garage.

If I had gone out and bought them, I probably would have only had one board, but I wanted to make the most of what I had, so I took those two boards and put them side by side, which was going to be the base of In my box I found a board of one for two. I use them a lot, they make really great edges and I'm going to measure the edges of my boards and cut two small pieces to go on the edge and then I'm going to measure. the front will have two boards that will go on the front and the back, these boards are just the right size to make a nice little border around my center box.

Now before I put them together, I wanted to stain all the boards, so I stained them with Golden Oak, so for the two middle boards I'm going to join them with wood glue. I just bought a new tool, this finishing nailer. I'm really excited about this one and it's the same one as my friend Christina. Mom used DIY and told me this is the one I needed to get so that's the one I bought. She really likes this so I'm going to take the finishing nailer and I'm going to nail the boards on the side and then Now I'm going to nail the boards on the front and back to decorate my board.

I found these really cute vases at Dollar Tree, so I bought five of them and now I'm going to spray them with black spray paint to fill. I found these green sprigs at Hobby Lobby so I'm just going to put these flowers in but you could really use any floral and here's a look at how the centerpiece turned out so for our next project you're going to need some glass. Dollar Tree bottles really work in any size, but these two I have fit nicely in a taper candle. You will also need some eucalyptus. The one I bought was purchased at Target, but you can also buy real eucalyptus at Trader.

Joe's, so that's an option too, so I'll start by cutting up my Greenery and adding it to my foreign bottle. Then I had a variety of taper candles on hand, I bought most of my taper candles at Walmart, so I just go. Now I put a taper candle on top of all my bottles. If for some reason your taper candle is too big, you can always shave it to the side to fit in your jar. I'll go wherever you go. I just don't know, I just don't know now. I decided to fill the bottles with water as well.

This is an optional step. You can leave the water out if you want. I think this is a very fresh and fun project for spring. The city will look so pretty now about to move when I was at the Dollar Tree and found this rainbow sign. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I knew it was going to be perfect for a macrame wall hanging because rainbows are so popular right now. I'm sure you've been seeing them everywhere. This is a super simple project. All you will need is a thread of your choice.

I really wanted a thick yarn. The yarn I'm using was purchased at a thrift store. I think I bought one of them at Walmart. You can also get yarn at Dollar Tree, but you can definitely find other places to buy it for super cheap. Now, whenever you make a macrame piece, I always find it's best to keep it. Your pieces are longer because you can always go back in and trim them a little bit. I'm going to start at the outside edge, so I'm going to pull my piece out and then hot glue it around the outside edge.

Now the key here is to make sure you cover all that wood because you don't want it to show. I'm going to continue cutting pieces of the same length at the bottom. I'm going to get them up and warm them up. glue them next to the piece I just put back now. Make sure you put these pieces together so you can't see the wood or the sign behind it, which is one of the main keys when you're making these macrame pieces, so we didn't really have much of a plan. I just threaded it until I was happy with it, then switched to another color, and then finished it with a third color.

The little wooden bases that's what I'm trying to recreate, so I'm going to use some E6000 and hot glue to attach those wooden pieces to the bottom of my green container. You can fill this pot with any fake or real plants you want. I like it, thanks, so the next DIY I did was pretty interesting because one part failed and another part looked great, so I'll show you how I did it and I know what I should have done to make it better.

I'll let you know so you don't make the same mistake I did. I've noticed that high-end places have a lot of sculptural style pieces and I wanted to try creating my own, so you're going to need some kind of base. The other things I'm going to use are floral wire from Dollar Tree. and I'm also going to use the wooden beads that I use in all my projects. Now I'm going to start by shaping my wire into a horseshoe shape, maybe a little more curved, almost like a circle that's not closed. at the top and one of the circles I'm going to make larger than the other and I'm going to start stringing the beads onto my wire, so this is where I made my first mistake with my larger circle. I should have used two or three cables because the cable I used was not strong enough in the end to hold this one, now the smaller one held up well.

I didn't have any problems, but I did have problems with the bigger guy falling over, so, here I would have put more wires with this one, so I strung all my beads together once I got to the top. I used hot glue on the top of the bead to keep all the beads in place. Next, I'm going to take a dowel rod and I'm going to hot glue it to the center part of my beads and I'm going to put a lot of hot glue there. I'm going to push it back to where it's connected to my beads once it dries. dry, let it rest.

I'm going to add a little hot glue to the back of my beads as well and then I'm going to hot glue the rod to the base. I'm going to start by putting some hot glue. glue and then I'm going to build it. In fact, I'm going to add a little more hot glue making sure to hold it until it has a chance to set now, once that's all done, I'm going to spray the entire piece with two coats of flat black spray paint now, during the first two days i had this everything was fine they held up great everything was great purchase like the second and third day when i started taking pictures one of them just wasn't standing up so the picture i have to show you it's the smallest one because the smallest one is great so if you do this project make sure you use a little bit more wire or maybe more foreign heavy duty wire that I have.

I must say that this trip was very exciting for me. I was very excited to find the ferns, but I was probably just as excited to find these baskets. Dollar Tree now has these really cute baskets, so I grabbed one not really knowing what I was going to do. with it, so I've noticed a lot of baskets at Pottery Barn and in stores have these braided handles or some type of handle. I thought it would be cool to update our basket so I grabbed some nautical rope and then I also had this really pretty navy twine from Dollar Tree.

I'm hoping you can find the yarn they have at Dollar Tree now, so I'm going to make handles with my nautical rope. I cut it to fit nicely on the side of my basket and then made an identical piece. I then started my thread about two inches from the bottom of my nautical rope and hot glued it and then started wrapping it. I hot glued it on periodically, but reallyYou don't need to add much hot glue and I wrapped it around until I got another two inches on the other side in place and cut off the excess now with the ends sticking out.

I wanted them to look like fringes, so I just untangled them and made them look fringed, it's a fringe prize. I don't think that's the word in the race, this is what we expected next. I'm going to hot glue these handles to the side now that they're gone. be there super secure so they're more of a decorative handle, but you can always sew them on if you want them to be really secure or you can always use E6000, so I'm going to use a little bit of hot glue and hot glue. glue them in place. I am going to make an identical handle for the other side of my basket and I designed it with a plant, but you can design it however you want and I am very in love with these baskets, so with many In high end stores I see many vases that have texture, so I wanted to create a version of that, so I bought another one of the clear glass containers.

I mean, I have so many of these it's not even possible. It's funny and then I also took some of the pearls, so I'm going to start by putting the pearls in this container. At first I didn't really know exactly how I was going to do this, but I came up with a pattern while I was working, so I started by just making a strip around the top and then decided to create some triangles on each side and in the end they worked perfectly. I ended up having the exact exact amount, I don't know. I even know how that happened, but to do this all I did was take four of the little beads, place them, then I did three, two, and one and then I switched from there to the opposite side doing exactly the same thing, meaning four, three , two and one. on the beads and I did it all the way around and now the best thing about these beads is that they have adhesive so you don't have to glue them or anything, and I didn't have any problems with them coming off afterwards.

I took this and spray painted it with two coats of black spray paints and I think this looks great sitting in my cabin. I love the look of these hooks. If you know anything about buying hooks, they can be very expensive, so I'm going to buy some of these. I'm going to buy these little ones. Wooden decoration pieces. I have a DIY of mine for them, they come in wood, but you can also get them in these different colors, so on a high end website I found this as a message board coat rack and it was really cool, but I definitely knew.

I could recreate it with items from Dollar Tree, so I'll DIY it with some items I found. I'm going to start with the two seahorse posters and I want to connect these two sides. I had some big ice cream sticks that I already had in my stash. I'm going to put the two signs together and then I'm going to put hot glue on the popsicle sticks and put them on the back of the sign. I will do this until the end and then I wanted it. to be even more stable so I went back in the middle and added more popsicle sticks.

I just cut off the top. I also grabbed a box from Dollar Tree and some pieces of wood and cut the wood pieces in half but with all my pieces. I dyed them in the Golden Oak color. I will just use a foam brush to put the dye on my boxes and then immediately wipe it off with a paper towel if you want the dye color to be deeper. just leave the stain on for a bit longer before removing the excess from there. I placed where I wanted the components on the box where I felt it would fit best for me to add them to the support piece.

I put in some E6000. I also added hot glue there to get that instant hold, but that E6000 is a really great Bond and will hold up better outside with the hangers I found in that new section of Shore Living. I'm going to remove the ones I'm I'm going to place three of them in my organizer. I'll line them up straight and mark the holes where I'm going to drill the holes with my drill. I'm going to drill holes in the wood and then attach the Replace the hangers and use the same screws they came with to attach them to the board.

Now I wanted those pieces I glued there to be really sturdy, so I drilled holes from the back and then added extra screws to make sure. which was cute and was leaning on one of the coat racks in the living room on the edge, there is a little backing piece that I removed and put on the back of my piece so it would now hang on the wall if you didn't want to hang it on the wall, you can always add magnets and put it on your refrigerator, but this is what it looks like hanging on the wall, you can put all your everyday items in here, so I found a lot of cool things in the utility hallway and one of the things I found this really cool serving bowl and I loved that it had a cool texture, so I'm going to paint it with two coats of white spray paint, so once it's completely dry, I'm going to get a color called elephant from Waverly and I'm also going to grab one of my big foam brushes.

Now I'm going to put a little bit of that paint on the foam brush, not too much because I want it to be a light coat. and then I'm going to lightly apply that elephant paint over my textured piece. Now I'm trying to do just one top coat to really bring out that texture, so you can always go back and add more paint, so start gently. and then you can always add more. I think this is a great decorative container that you could put as a centerpiece or on your countertop now. If you're looking for bathroom storage ideas at Dollar Tree, be sure to head to the mason jar section because these are some of the best things you can get to organize your bathroom.

I bought the biggest jars I could find. I bought them in a set of three. They look great, so I always try to buy things in sets of three. Next, I'm going to paint the lids with two coats of white spray paint, then I go in with a little rubbing and buffing and put it around the edges. Next, I'm going to go in with some gold handles that I already had. On hand, these were the ones I was using on another project I purchased on Amazon. If I could find them I'll link them for you in the description box and just used some E6000 to put them on top of the caps.

You are using E6000 or construction style bonding glue for this because other glues just won't hold them in place and that's it, these are great for all those little items you have in the bathroom so I needed them. a canvas now at Dollar Tree, their largest canvas is I think 11 by 14 but it's not thick so I wanted one that was a little bigger. One place I've found you can get a really good deal is the Cinco Beneath You. I can get a two pack of 16 by 20 canvases, which I think is a great deal for five dollars, so I'll use a 16 by 20 canvas.

I'll also use the yarn that you can pick up at Crafters Square now I think for this one. project I ended up using nine rolls. You could also get a larger roll on Amazon, but I wanted to show you how you can do it with Dollar Tree items. Now this project, I must say, took me. It takes a while to make, but it's super simple, so what you're going to do is you're going to start by gluing the thread to the back of the canvas and then you're going to start wrapping it into the One Direction that you want to make.

Make sure the thread is close together so you can't see the white behind it strangely. Once you're happy with how far you've made it, simply hot glue it to the back and cut off the excess from there. to change direction, so if you were horizontal, now you want to add the thread vertically and again you want to go back and do it the other way around every time you want to move around where you're placing it so it's not always in the same place, so What you're going to do is create kind of a fun overlapping pattern.

You will simply continue adding twine until the entire piece is covered. I had a vision in mind but I wasn't sure it was going to work at all so I asked my husband to help me with the measurements just because he was really good at it so it ended up working out so I'm really excited to show you this one.

What you will need for this project are two of the Dollar Tree cutting boards, so we marked both boards at five. inch and a half, then we traced the edge of the cutting board because we were going to cut it, but we were only going to cut half of the cutting board, so we marked three and a half inches. Now this is where we got. a bit stumbled, we had to figure out which sides we were going to cut so they would join together so we drew a little line to know which side to cut next, we used a saw to cut the notches on both cuts. boards Now that the hard part was out of the way, all we had to do was join the two together to create a perfect little bookend.

It's great to put up as a coffee book holder or you can also use it to display a cookbook and I'm so excited how this turned out for only two dollars. Now we all love the planters they have at Dollar Tree and I'm always trying to think of new ways to dress them up a bit, so I had this basket. Knit a gray pot which I think is adorable. I love it so much. I'm going to start by wrapping some twine around it three times. What's happening? My artist. Once I wrap it three times. I'll tie it in place now.

I wanted to add some beads to the front. I had some gray beads and some smaller ones, like natural colored beads. Now to string the beads I find it's easier if I wrap some masking tape around the bottom of my thread and I just don't know, I feel like stringing the beads on there is a lot easier so I'm going to alternate my beads adding six beads on each of my pieces of thread and then I'm going to tie the thread now that I wanted I create a little tassel, so I'm going to take the string and I'm going to wrap it around my hands until I have everything that I think is going to look nice and complete.

I'm going to take that piece and I'm going to tie it to the bottom of where I had the beads and then I'm going to tie it with a double knot. I'm going to wrap it to look like a tassel, so I'm going to hot glue some twine. the back of the piece on top and I'm just going to wrap it around and then hot glue it to the back cutting off any excess now to make it look like a tassel. I'm going to cut it at the bottom and then I'm going to trim the tassel so that all the pieces are the same size.

You can decorate it with any plant you have in your house, but it just gives it an extra touch, so for this DIY you will need three candles. snuffers from Dollar Tree you will also need three succulents and then I also picked up Three Wood boards in different sizes from Lowe's now if you have a couple of wire cutters that will work best for this DIY you are going to cut your candle snuffer right at the base where the handle is . I'm going to hot glue my succulents to my candle snuffers. Now I added some hot glue to the base of these and then just put the succulents in now.

Once I got to this point, I realized I didn't like the base of the candle snuffers, so I grabbed some faux leather and hot glued it to the back. I wrapped it twice and then cut off the excess and just heated it. I glued that in place, I felt like this did a good job of finishing the bottom piece, thank you and then I placed my succulents where I wanted to hot glue them and then from there all I had to do was hot glue them. the wooden pieces now to hang this on the wall, you can always put hangers there.

I've loved using command strips on the back, so you just grab a couple of command strips. I'll link the ones I used in the description. box and then you can place them on the wall and that's how this piece of wall art turned out. Thank you. I love the way plants brighten any space, especially a bathroom, so I wanted to create a plant stand. I had these four frames from Dollar Tree. I think I bought it a couple of months ago, but you can probably find something similar at Dollar Tree because they keep the same frames most of the year, so you'll need four for this project.

Now mine are black and gold. I love the color of it so I went through and removed the backing piece from the frame so I wanted to have some type of black and white image in the frame. I grabbed some of this sticky wallpaper from Amazon, but you can use a scrapbook. paper wrapping paper whatever you have on hand for this project whatever your needs are and I'm going to trace that around my paper where I want to cut it out. I'm going to cut out the four squares and then I'm going to put the squares back into my frames.

I removed that backing piece from the frame because I won't need it. Then from there I hot glued the frames together so they created a box. Now I'm not worried about creating a base for This is because it will always be sitting and not reallyIt needs a foundation. From there, you can style it with your favorite plant or an artificial plant. One of the best ways to get a premium Dollar Tree look is to browse items. which are in the glassware section because you can spend a lot more on glassware and it's literally the same thing you can buy at Dollar Tree so I found these two interesting bases I wanted to dress up a little Dollar Tree so I have this product you guys They've heard of it before it was called rubbing and polishing.

I'll link it in the description box. I use it all the time, I know, but I love it so I'll use it a little. a little bit of one of the gold colors and to paint over your piece, you can use this for anything. Metal glasses. I'm just going to use a foam brush and when you put this product on you almost want to rub it on, it actually looks better when you do it that way. I'm going to rub it on the lid of one of the pieces. Now for the smaller jar, I'm going to tape it with frog tape and just rub it on the bottom.

I'll remove the frog tape. and this is literally a five minute craft you can do, but look how cute these vases look. One of the new items I'm excited about at Dollar Tree are these ceramic containers. Now I think Dollar Tree had the idea to make these frames that could be used. to use it for a wedding, but I had something completely different in mind, there are three different shapes, one rectangular, one circular and then this other one that looks like some kind of butterfly. I also grabbed some stickers, so I started by taking the frame pieces. off the back as well as the stickers on the back now I saw in my mind soap dish trinket tray you know all those things for these I thought they would be perfect for a bathroom one of my tricks for what you want to put stickers on any surface, cut it out first and place it on your tray that way you can kind of get a visual movement of things until you commit to sticking them in place so I cut out all the stickers and that's what I did.

I moved them around until I was happy with their placement and then simply glued them to the outside ceramic. I'm going to use the same Mod Podge that I used before, it's a dishwasher safe blue mod podge and I'm going to make a thick layer on each of the ceramic containers once it dries you can add them to your bathroom. You could put a soap container in there. You could also put small decorative soaps or even leave them as rings or earrings. What are you doing? You are always on the floor. It won't be on the floor, they have a ton of new mirror selections right now, so I'm thinking they'd bake up some really cool wall art by grouping them together. The thing about the decor at Dollar Tree is that a lot of times it's smaller, so that you need to obtain several items. To make it look more substantial, I'm going to take five different styles of mirrors and then make them look similar and show you how to place them as a piece of art on the wall. The first thing I did for this project was add masking tape. to all the mirrors so that when I spray painted them there would be no paint left on the actual part of the mirror.

If you get some paint, you can always scrape it off, but I prefer to do this at first. of the project I wanted to change the look of a couple of mirrors so I grabbed some bamboo skewers from Dollar Tree and I'm going to attach them to the back and hot glue them in place. I was figuring this out as I went and ended up cutting off some of the skewers. I was hot gluing them into place but it was a lot of fun just figuring out how to add a little depth to each of the mirrors and then I added some masking tape to the back to keep it in place and then with my other mirror I thought which one would look great if I only made four dial rods, so I put one sticking out of each of the corners, those are the only two mirrors I added. pegs to the next.

I'm going to spray the back of all the mirrors with this antique gold like spray paint. I turned all the mirrors around and spray painted the front. Next I will use rub and polish, now I wanted my mirrors to be different colors of gold, that will give it a lot more dimensions. I'm going to add scrubbing and buffing with a foam brush across the mirrors, it won't completely cover what I spray painted, but it will be a nice highlight or foreign accent color. I removed the tape and again I think the best way to add them to the walls would be to use command strips.

Another tip you can try is to place them on the floor before placing them on the wall. to determine the configuration you want, but this is how these mirrors turned out and for less than ten dollars I have a really nice set of mirrors overseas. I bought a pot from Dollar Tree. I'm also going to use some nautical rope I had. by hand and don't worry I will link all the supplies I used in the description box so with my planter I wanted to hot glue my nautical rope so I created an x ​​on my planter so I figured out how much time I needed.

I normally like the consistency of my Quikrete to be a little pudding-like, but I wanted it to be a little thinner so I could use it to paint this entire pot, but the nice thing is that if it's too runny, you can quickly add more box and if it's too thick, just add more water. It doesn't matter, now I'm going to grab a foam brush. The next piece is a wall art piece, so you will need to grab two canvases from Dollar Tree. You will also need a stick from your backyard. I love going out in my backyard and grabbing sticks so just grab a couple for this project, they don't need to be too big and then you'll need some yarn in whatever color you want to use. I just took a few for my stash. but they also sell yarn at Dollar Tree, so I'll start by hot gluing my stick to the center of my canvas. I was trying to figure out if I should use hot glue or E6000 on the canvas.

I finally decided that the E6000 is probably the best option here, so I'm going to put in some E6000 and put my thread on the E6000 and cut it at the end. I really wanted my pieces of thread to be the same size and I thought about cutting them before, but finally decided that I should cut them on the canvas because once they went through the stick I was afraid that they wouldn't be the right size and I just lightly pressed the thread on the e6000. now this is a totally fun piece, you can do different colors, put the thread wherever you want.

I put the thread in three different places on this stick, more or less depending on the shape of this stick. Now on my second canvas I wanted it to look completely different. so I had this straight stick and I hot glued it to the side of the canvas. From there I started in the middle creating long pieces and wanted it to taper to the edges. I love wall art pieces like this because I can be very creative. I just make up the colors and patterns as I go. I think these two pieces look so good together.

You guys will have to tell me what you think of this. I know it's a little out there. but I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments, so I'll be picking up a couple of books from Dollar Tree. You can get hardcover books for only a dollar, so I bought three. I wanted to personalize these books. a little bit, so I'm going to stain the pages with tea, so to do that, you're just going to take any tea bag, it doesn't matter what it is, and then you're just going to put it in some water and you're just going to rub it along. the edges of your foreign book, then I'll let it dry completely and then open the book so I can paint the outside cover.

I've seen a lot of paper mache bowls in high-end decor and wanted to try to recreate one myself, so for this project I'll be using craft paper. I'll start by cutting out my craft. strip paper, so I bought a big roll from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to fold it until I can cut it into smaller strips. Now don't worry if your strips aren't perfect, they don't have to be. Anyway, you'll also need some type of container or shape to shape the paper mache, so I grabbed this plastic container from Amazon. I'll wrap it in a trash bag and then tape it in place.

I'm going to create my paper mache pasta, so I'm going to mix flour with water. You want your paste to have a thin consistency so it stays like a paste. Next, I'll start by I put my strips in my bowl to dip them in the pasta, then I drain off the excess pasta and add it to the outside of my bowl. I started from the base and then wrapped them. around the edges and then finished it on top now with all paper mache, you'll have to let it dry overnight before seeing how it turned out. I noticed that once it dried it was a little too white like I saw too much flour and I wanted it to have more of that brown color so I went back and added another layer on the outside.

This doesn't hurt it at all, it will just make it sturdier and then I'll let it dry for another night once it dries. I can remove the container inside to fill it. I just put a little filling in the base. You can use sacks of any kind and then I'll cover it with some Dollar Tree Moss and that's how my paper mache bowl got weird for a while, you guys know I love these containers from Dollar Tree for bathroom organization. I now have one in my bathroom with a gold lid that I use for all my lipsticks.

The lipsticks are the perfect size for a bathroom, so I bought three. I started by spraying the lids with two coats of matte black spray paint. Lately I've been loving a product called rub and polish so I decided which one. one I wanted to use. I'm going to use a foam brush to put it around the handle just to make the handle stick out a little bit, so I added some cotton balls. I also had some bath salts. I think they would be great to sit on. your bathroom on a shelf or on your vanity, have you ever looked at the soap dishes at Dollar Tree and thought you know what would make really good little trinket trays?

Well, that's what we're doing in our next project. I grabbed a black soap dish. I also pulled out my little half circle beads from my stash and I'm going to start by hot gluing them around the edge of my soap container, then I'm going to paint it with two coats of glossy black spray paint, this will look really cute sitting next to your sink or your nightstand to place your jewelry or your rings on one of my favorite items. I was so excited to find these black and white baskets when I saw them in the organization section at Dollar Tree.

I thought: Okay, I'm going to buy them. I love having these types of baskets to organize under my sink in the cabinets and I love the color. I wanted to personalize them a little, so I grabbed one of those little palettes they have at Dollar Tree. and I didn't really have the right tools for this, but I just kept going. I started removing the pieces of wood and then used my wire cutters to cut them in half. Now, if I had been home, I probably would. I used a saw, but you know what I just went with what I had, so I needed three of these little pieces of wood.

Then I cut a hole in the top so I could hang them and then went in with the dyed saw. colorGolden Oak and I simply stained them. I just do one coat with my foam brushes and immediately wipe it off with a paper towel. I let them dry completely because you don't want to add any labels because they're not going to stick, but while they were drying, I went into the Cricut design space and all I did was type in some of my favorite fonts, some different words, like scrub, hand wash, and I meant washcloths and hand towels for those I sent to cut on my Smart. white vinyl I simply removed them and transferred them to my wood pieces.

I used some twine to tie them to the baskets and then from there I just added washcloths, hand towels, and small loofah scrubbers. I think they look really cute and you'd never know they were from Dollar Tree overseas, so I tend to get a lot of inspiration from Dollar Tree just by walking around and seeing what I see and sometimes when I see something really cool I'm like, "This is Well, I have to find a way." project with this, so I found this scarf and of course I loved it and when I was writing my notes I realized that that scarf looks like the shirt I'm wearing today, so I must really like that animal print that I wear a lot. animal print, I know, so I grabbed the scarf and also grabbed this little Christmas tupperware.

Now you don't have to have this same tupperware. They have several different variations at Dollar Tree that you can use. This was pretty much what I found at the time, so my idea was to wrap this scarf around this container and make a little basket for books, but when I started doing that, the red was coming out, so really, if you had a clear container it would work a lot. much better, so to solve that problem what I did was simply take some white paint. I used Waverly paint and gave this a coat of paint. Now I wasn't worried about this being perfect.

I was just trying to cover that red so I could wrap the scarf around it okay, so next I took my scarf, cut off one of the ends and then started hot gluing it on so the bottom edge was even with the base because I knew that edge was going to be. showing and I just hot glued it around the container making sure the bottom was nice and perfect all the way to the bottom and once I got to the end I'm going to hot glue it in place yeah now with that top I decided to just put it in my bowl with the excess scarf that I'm not going to use, I'm going to fold it and put it on the bottom and this is a cool little book basket that you could put on your kids' nightstand or sit anywhere to For a dollar you get two wreaths, which I thought was cool and I thought they were really cute, so I have a container in my craft space that's just my entire Greenery and a lot of them are boxwoods that I bought at Hobby Lobby, some are boxwoods that I bought at Walmart and even some from Dollar Tree. so I'm going to mix in a variety of that greenery and place it like in the bottom left corner of my foreign wreath.

I keep adding until I like the way they look and I always like to use hot glue to attach the pieces. Now to hang this, you can do many different options. I'm going to use burlap and then another farm ribbon from Dollar Tree and hang it on my door. It is a really simple and economical option. way to create a wreath for next to nothing when you consider how much wreaths typically cost. I found this vase at Goodwill, it was really affordable and I love the shape of it so I'm going to start by spray painting it with two coats of black spray paint now you don't need to go out and spend money on expensive vases when you can buy them so cheap at the store thrifted or at Dollar Tree and to keep them in place I'm actually going to put some stones from Dollar Tree on the bottom these are just some black ones that I had on hand to embellish it.

I'm going to put in some eucalyptus stems. You can get them anywhere. Mine are from Target. I'm going to take all the eucalyptus

s and join them with one. of the rubber bands, the little clear elastic bands that I bought at Dollar Tree, I'm going to fold them in half so I don't have to cut my flowers and put them in the middle and here's a look at blackface thanks
