Mar 16, 2022

fish

bit him like that. Right now, guys, I don't know. us, we're about to get kicked out but anyway beautiful fish he hit that thing right as I was wanking him real hard you know we're not very smooth he was jerking it pretty hard moving the bait around a lot and it caused a reaction bite let's get back in the water welcome back to another video thank you so much for clicking this today i'm so excited to bring this up to start i know what's going on guys welcome to another video i'm excited to get one on there but i can't talk today about what it's happening welcome to another video so today we're doing something i've wanted to bring to you for a while now you've been calming me down in the comment section below please know what we want for drop shot video Noah what

tips

do you have for a drop shot Noah how to manipulate a drop shot so guess what guys that's what we're doing today first of all if you're enjoying these

tips

I have fixed my drop shot. What baits are in the drop shot? It's already a good shot. in the lake and

catch

more

fish that's what we're going to cover today let's go to the back of the kick on mobile and i'm going to show you how to put together a drop shot so first things first if you guys haven't subscribed to the channel make sure you hit the subscribe button it means a lot to everyone who supports me on a day to day basis thank you so much so today i have something a little tricky so all my combos spinners that's what i'm going to I got there that's what I highly suggest you do a drop shot you can cast it on a bait caster actually we're going to be t Casting the drop shot today we're not going to drop vertically on a fish and I'm still going to use a spinning rod a really light tackle this is actually a gradient black color

fishing

prayer for 13 with a cree GT for 13 and if you guys notice I actually have this in a braid right here this is a braid very thin, nothing like 65 pounds, this is very Librarian, about a 20 pound braided line here, so we're not going to tie this directly to the drop. it's one thing you guys have to keep in mind when you meet

fishing

baits like this and clear water too, you don't want to throw it right bury, the fish can see it and that's not going to be your best bet, so what? we're going to do is tie a fluorocarbon leader onto this braided line so first things first I'm going to push this through these eyelids and then I'm going to show you how to tie a double uni knot so you can put a leader on it that's funny I don't actually have n fluorocarbon with me today like on a reel so I'm actually going to take a bit out of my bait caster this is ten pound seaguar fluorocarbon this is in physics a very soft line I've used it for years and that's just my favorite of all at the moment so what I'm going to do is just cut this jerkbait and I'm going to take a little bit of the leader line and I'm really going around so we need to like a knife cut that jerkbait and now we're going to attach this here so you're probably wondering how and what the heck are you going to tie two lines together and this is where you need a uni knot which comes in handy and it's very strong when you're winding it across your eyelids it's not too bulky or heavy especially I got with the small line and it's the perfect fit for the timeline together so this is what you're going to do so I have my braid right here my fluorocarbon right here I can do a separate video on this I'm going to make this very quick and simple for you.

More Interesting Facts About,

catch 10x more fish using a dropshot bass fishing tips...

Put them next to each other, okay, so what you have to do is line them up. I'm going to take one end and I'm going to tie them off like a standard unit, so I'm going to grab my line. I'm making a loop with my four. -carbon around my hand like I would a standard uni knot which I already have a video of where you can go check that out and I'm going to wrap it around the circle okay I'll do it about five times and then I'll pull that one out label. I just have it like this, then I'll do the same thing on this braid literally the same way there's one called double uni Knox that you're technically joining to join us that's really all they're doing, simple as that.

I can make a video on this under this. It's not easy to follow and it's not supposed to be. I can make another video where I am. that so let me know once we're done right there we have our two uni knots or we're just going to touch the tag but the lines of the rods are going to pull it together however you can telling me I'm holding the tag and they're going to collide like this you see what those two uni knots come together now that's perfect for our old leader and now all I have to do is just snip off the ends of my tag and I'm good to go like this as you can see it's not like a super bulky profile, so it will go right through your eyelids perfectly and you really won't have too much trouble with it.
catch 10x more fish using a dropshot bass fishing tips
I promise it's not what I've used for years it just works better for me and now all I'm going to do is notice these posts are tied together now so I'm going to make sure it clicks so I can remove a little bit of line and I'm going to put a little bit of pressure on the actual about 10-15 feet so that's all I did I just stole the liner that's an easy way to save some money on something you all of you are interested. you know budget fishing and boom we got our braid on a real but we have a fluorocarbon leader so g It's got that finesse profile when tying a bait like this so it's time to rig up now that we've got our fluorocarbon.
I'm going to just grab a little hook in my nose. Let me explain the difference between some hooks right here. you can weave this hook in as your drop shot and that's very productive ok but today we're just going to hook the nose with the bait and we're just going to use a small standard size shot hook right there and you I'm just going to hook the hook with the nose. Look, we can let me show you how here. We could rig a weedless with this hook, but we're just going to hook this one with the nose and let me explain the difference, so this will be you.
You know when you're obviously casting this around trees and with a lot of cover, you really don't want to get hooked that easily and your hooks not be exposed, you know your bait is stuck on the point of that hook, but when I'm also fishing for grass, you know you're going to want something like that we're fishing In these ponds and

more

open water I tend to just nose hook the bait it gives it an ease it's easier to penetrate a fish with that but this hook is exposed it's a perfect hook that we will use today like me. he said this is a size 1 or a size down so hook up both work great hack for time for josh all i'm trying to keep in a uni knot is have a bunch of tags inline because i'll show you here in a minute but you're not going to want to tie it like a specific bait you know a little bait on your hook you want to have a lot of tag on the line so simple or not it's a uni knot it's a hammers tag on the line.
I had left over it's because that's where our weights are going to go on the bottom it's going to keep this hook off the bottom that's all i have to do web my line sends it down and this is the most important part here this is one of the reasons i wanted to do this video today because i feel like a lot of people miss fish because of this once you tie the hook to the line and get your tag done right you're not going to cut as much you're going to want to put your way in the bottom this is the trick you're going to take your tag and you're going to go back ok sew baste down here you're going to take this and go back no sorry todd you're just going through the eyelid at the top you can see your hooks up and you're going to pull this down okay just like that and you guys are probably wondering what is this doing why why are you doing that why are you going back over the line and this is exactly what while doing a drop shot you don't actually are you cheating By lifting a fish, you're only lifting a little. lifting or dropping vertically on a fish the most important thing is that you have this hook facing up so that when you lift it up it goes straight to the top of your mouth because if the hook is down or to the side your ratio of hook is not going to be that good you know if I don't put my line back through this hook I promise you the ratio or it's going to be horrible but you're going to

catch

all the fish with this you'll see how your hook is perfectly oriented towards that barb and the point of the hook is literally sitting perfectly upright, so when I'm going to raise the boom right on the mouth fish which is the most important thing when drop-shot fishing, that's probably the most important step and i'm glad i can add it to this video and if you guys are watching this far i'm so glad because i'm probably wondering why not no no i'm missing a lot of fish this isn't that that's probably why right here and now i just go to tie u n simple little cylindrical weight here put it there spin it once boom I got my little weight you guys can tell my leaders it's not that long it's about seven to eight inches I really don't have too much of a line between that it's not like I'm fishing you know some super deep water fish aren't too finicky here like Apollo you know I want to stick to that 7/8 inch range I would do like I'm also a stand up leader but that's just what i would use generally when i'm going into ponds and if we don't get any bites i'll lengthen this even further and lower it about you know two to five inches more that's what we're dealing with right now we have an up hook which is a machine For direct shot fish catching, right there, you should follow these tips, get up in your ponds or lakes wherever you are.
Re-fish and you'll catch fish and use that little tip about re-casting the line and you'll catch. I'm going to show you how to rig and fish this bait, so when it comes to choosing the right type of worm or minnow to put in your drop shot, I use a few simple rules when I come here, so if I'm fishing in clear water. I'm going to fade into you no more of a natural color like pumpkin green watermelon red you got your prism like Chad is like you know like a bluish translucent look you got your Robo worms like morning sunrise which are more of a pinkish color and that usually does not fade with clear water.
I'll move it over this dirty water. adding my darker colors like June Bug June bugs is a really cool color Green pumpkins are great too usually watermelon right away why don't you use dirty water? I paid for that green squash The June Bug color treats more darker colors for dirty water so today with these ponds I'm going to put out this pack of worms it looks like I only have one more June Bug worm that's what I usually use in ponds, especially ponds where you know the waters aren't very clear that's usually what I use now has these called watermelon slices and it's like a green squash with a little bit of red on the top bottom which is great for dirty water as well these are the two colors we are going to play with today probably my all time favorite is probably like a watermelon morning sunrise.
I'm telling you you're a killer little pink worm. You can't beat that usually dirty clear water. You will catch them. go to the pond and catch some fish honey i don't remember if i told you guys i got tim pal to carve the leader. I also like eight pounds, something very light, so you'll have to check your drag mark. sure it's pretty loose and if we're

using

light tackle today they're on a drop so it's really important that you check your stamina make sure it's pretty loose and you'll give that fish a chance not to pull with the worms.
I think we're going to start with one of Junebug, I mean we have one left. I might as well hook it up and see what we're going to do and let me show you how I'm rigging this since I only have a standard single circle hook this is a weedless ok so all I'm going to do is see if I have a right hook t here right through the head of the bait you're going to pop that's all I do right there sample simple ok it's real easy that's all we'll do right so it's time to fish guys and I'm going gonna experiment with a couple of different things on this drop shot i don't like to work the same way every time i go out you know i try a few different things ok huh but that means we're going to be throwing around we're going to be finding out today if they want this bait to really move from the bottom if they want to drag it from the bottom if they wanted you to know me dead nailing this thing we are really going to have to play today and find out what these guys really want and how they are going to commit to so that we can catch more fish, so whenever I come to these ponds I try to look for the coverwho know I'm going to fish I've got a pipe in the water right here I'm some of you turning this blob around it's very important when going into these ponds to break it down and really figure out what it's going to do find what covers the pond and find out if those fish are sitting if they're deeper they're in some trees above Showell or whatever start fishing so right now I'm like looking you know I'm looking to find out where these fish are and what they're going to eat today they're going to eat this bait so oh my gosh they wouldn't know where they got shot that's the stupidest thing I could do I feel like I gave it too much?
Yes, I gave him too much. Let's learn from my mistakes. strong I'm doing it very very smooth so when a fish charges up I'm just lifting I really want to show you guys t It's very quick to see if we can get this fish to bite again He was there. I feel like I started to swing towards him and say that he is getting up. I got a little excited there for a second, so that fish is going to bite. I'm just skipping this thing, as you guys can see all my hand movements just by making me raise my bar high. man of the world okay this is amazing that's why I like to do these tip videos because it shows you okay look at her lipstick right there omg look at that omg I'm glad the fish has bitten him like this.
I'm so glad the fish bit him like that so right now guys I don't know if you notice his fat stomach. We have a security guard next to us. I'm about to get kicked out, but anyway, beautiful fish, he hit. that thing right when I was wanking her real hard y'know not real soft I was wanking her pretty hard moving that bait around a lot and that triggered a reaction sting let's get back in the water alright so hahaha like I was saying people yeah , I got kicked out, so that's okay, even though I can't fish that because I'm pulling, I'm not allowed. to fish in the front pond I know I wasn't allowed to fish in the front pond I'll tell you guys don't do things like that no I'm just when it comes to fishing I have no limits I'm crazy ok so let's go fishing another pond we are plenty of fish places around here i just cant fish that pond i been good thats the craziness i been good fishing all this time its my first time somebody kicked me out of that front pond so which is fine, although we have a fish.
I realized something. Maybe we can take this to another pond, see if we can catch more fish. continue, we're going to catch them, come on, there's one thing I really want to talk about in this video that's very important and more or less that's why this is the different recoveries in this drop shot that I experiment with depending on the conditions of the day and how active the fish really are so one way that I love to work a very clean and simple drop shot and it's going to be a very productive way pretty much anytime whether the fish are active whether the fish they're very lethargic it'll work all the way around and it'll be just drag that thing like this, raise the rod, just don't drag anything off the bottom and then you just let your line slack so what it's doing is you've got your bait on the top and your weight on the bottom when you have tension on your line and you're dragging that bait it's off the bottom when you let your line slack and just lie back and wait a second what do l The baits is that it's falling to the bottom it's laying on the bottom then you pull the line hard again and drag the bait and it's off the bottom then it pauses and falls off that's a very, very productive way when the baits fish are really lethargic and they're not really eating you know they really are it's really hard like you're on a rough day you can't really give them any bite and that's one way you know you can really catch them otherwise when it's really hard to just throw that drop shot out, land boom, hit the bottom and what you're going to do is slack or not slack your line, get tension on your line and just hold it there, all good here it'll barely move your bait and they're going to let it sit and I mean you're going to let this thing settle first I mean you're pretty dead nailing this baby you're just giving a little little you know it moves like that so just give it to bait a little bit of movement to keep that thing off the bottom and that can be a very productive way where you're not just bouncing this thing all over the place and you're still keeping it very very very good very very slow oh my god still you're keeping this thing very, very subtle, but you're giving it a little movement in case the fish looks at it and wonders if you know what's going on, you give it that little sporadic movement just that little. it moves and then the fish gobbles it up, so when the fish are a little bit more active, you know they're starting to chew, this is, you know, the basic way I work a drop shot is more or less toss it and just bounce. this thing on the bottom you know a slight movement on your rod I'm not going crazy with it but I'm just kind of bouncing off anything on the bottom and I'm working it back to me like I would with a shake of the head a jig any bottom bait really mostly a shake i had the that's pretty much how i'm working i'm just working it back to me i'm covering the water i can cast this thing in a bunch of different spots just because i won't keep this thing still as much time so i'll be able to do a lot more ore throwing which is probably the basic way to work a drop shot so that's what you can experiment with right when you first go out there's water covering really figure out what this wants fish and then once you know, you realize that the fish are not. biting that's when you slow it down too much by sticking it or just moving that bait or dragging it to the bottom and then the last way I'm going to show you guys is just throwing it out and working it back up pretty fast pretty aggressive you know moving the rod around a lot really makes bait to really move, generally work it faster than you normally would and that will work on those days when this fish is just chewing, you know this fish is active, ready to eat, hungry and not really they care you know they're just going to buy whatever it is that's actually in front of them so that's when I would do that and obviously this is to throw the drop shot and obviously I'm out of the pond right now so I eat when I'm in a lake as if it were falling on a fish.
I'm going to work a lot differently than when I'm casting from these ponds and other places, I'll probably drop it and just move the rod slightly. or just drive in front of one's face and take it in front of them and I'm looking at the fish in the graph which is totally different but this is more for when I'm casting the drop and

using

it in many places I can and do squash technique so which those are like four different ways i would really stick to when casting a drop to get more bites if you notice the fish don't take the bait like you just haven't tried. it's all you tried with the dead stick and you try to move it the next best thing from there is changing colors so you're going to change colors from a june bug to a green pumpkin and that might be that little kick right there that is going to allow you to catch more fish and I have seen it happen day to day and actu I see it on my chart when I land on the fish.
They won't eat a pink worm, but I put a green one in and they gobble it up every time, so just a little tweaking like that can really help you catch more and whatnot. it's not just changing the color, seeing that it doesn't work and you just don't get bitten by a worm and then you have to do it guys I'm having the hardest time today this isn't even the best day for me instead of throwing a worm , you want to cast it like a little shad profile minnow and that always agrees that it's always good to ride a drop shot especially if you're dropping vertically on fish but those are just easy little tips I use on a day to day basis when I cast a drop shot that really helps me figure out the fish and catch more and catch a ton more if you really figure out what they want to eat at that time of day, okay everybody, that's going to wrap it up. this video you can catch more fish and i just had a hard day y'all guys and it's about to get dark and i really need to get out of here.
