Welcome back to the channel. Today I'm going to make some parts for the

charger

at the machine shop so I need to make those spacers for that rear adjustable arm so the center bolt goes in there and then I can lock it in but I put the

charger

on the ground on the rear suspension and it's crazy this has me so excited i mean this car has been so high off the ground and a lot of people have been commenting on it be like why is that thing so high is it a monster truck blah blah blah it has sxt suspension now it's about ride height it will be about the same as the

hellcat

over there right now i have the 20 inch trackhawk wheels and they have the

hellcat

tires so it's 305 35 20s what i'm going to do is go to 355 35 21s for what the hellcat from the bottom of the rocker to the ground is six inches and this is four and a half right now so it will be six inches and why do i want it to be factory ride height or at least as high off the ground is because e So I can rip it off and like the hellcat but unlike the hellcat so the hellcat in the front as you can see the back is taller than the front so usually the back looks taller or the rear looks lower than front because you want to be able to spin the wheels so um and then you want to let you know everything is even i guess for drag racing it might be different but that's how i'll set it up and it has the springs softer in the back so it squats but we uh I just can't believe how much lowering a car changes it still doesn't have the bumper or flare and just look at this it looks great then it looks a monster truck so we need to get the we need to get the front end down so I need to finish the front subframe that is coming soon and then I can drop this all the way down.

I need to do the rear lower control arm so I can fix that alignment issue on the coilover and also another thing that's really exciting is that now that it's lowered I've done all that work for the carbon fiber roof since it's so high that sxt monster truck suspension is not shaped like a glom six eight but it was very hard for me to see the blue weave in the kevlar so now you can see the carbon kevlar. cloth and it looks great so this car I can't wait to get all the suspension and everything on it the engine and everything else just to get it to the right ride height and look good especially with wider wheels makes it look a lot better but even then the wheels will probably be another two or three inches wider than that so I'm going to go from a 10 to a 12 or a 13 just so I can fill those flares and yeah I just can't wait let's go to the machine shop make those four pieces for that adjustable arm so I'm back home from the machine shop and I'm done making the bushings for the eccentric bolts so now I can fit and lock them the tow bars and then i can adjust the whole suspension so i can get this out of the garage if i had pushed it out of the garage in the last video i probably would have towed it when i was trying to push it in it would have been impossible to move it or, so now that I have this, we can do it and put this outside in the sun.

I measured from the wheel to the flare and it looks like I'm about an inch and a half too in on these wheels so they're 20 by 10 that's pretty good because that means I could run a 20 21 by 11 and a half and that's like a 325 tire so that will be a lot of tires for this car and 11 and a half is still very wide I think hell it's only 11 wide which is still wide then and this will be four wheel drive no I'll have to worry about wheel spin etc. like a 21 by 12 because I have a lot of room in the back but I think this will be the simplest also another thing I really don't know if I like these wheels I really like how they look like that because they are a little concave they look aggressive but when the front sights I don't know if I like them they just don't appeal to me so I think what I'm going to do is buy maybe a different style wheel I'll definitely have to buy another wheel because they're not wide enough so which I will have to figure out if I'm going to go for a similar style or if I'm going to go you know a totally different style I really like the wide body wheels on the newer charger they're like five spokes but they're kind of sunken and have a lip I think they look cool but now it's five for 127 or 128 because it's a trackhawk bolt pattern so it won't work with those wheels so I'll have to find something or have some custom wheels so we'll see what happens , but let's get this thing out there I want to pull the struts in the front end put a Hellcat wheel forward my challenger there drop it so it's the same ride height and I'll probably keep it pretty close to this ride height here maybe Maybe I raised it just a hair, but the front should go down like probably a foot, so yeah, it looks great.

I don't want to go lower than that for ground clearance just because this is a very long car and I don't have to worry about bottoming out or going over potholes or anything like that. that I want to be able to break this thing down so let's get out there I'll probably give it some spray and wash it down and get it down and finally we can see what it's going to look like with the actual ride height and the stance and the wheels and even though these wheels are a little little sagged it already looks a thousand times better than it was let's say oh i just finished washing the charger and it looks really really good i can't believe lowering a car i mean everybody knows if you l Lowering a car a bit changes the whole look of it and this car has been sitting so high off the ground for so long it's crazy to see it at or near the correct ride height so no engine or on still , once I have all that weight in the front I will need to readjust the front coil springs and I need to readjust the rear coil springs.

I want to raise it just a hair in the back, but the rear wheels aren't too bad. they're pretty close I put one of the hellcat wide body wheels they're 20 by 11 and on the front it's about the same offset so as you can see it's about an inch and a half or an inch that you need the wheel to come out the same as the rear so i dont think its going to have to go through too much i think i could get the same offset wheel the same width wheel for the front and the rear and now i deal with this gap and I want them to be pretty close to level.
