dollar

. The

tree

has a great display of tons of different pots and planters. I can't wait to jump in and show you all my ideas. Also leave some ideas you have or something you've done with one of the dollar trees in the comments. planters without further ado, let's go ahead and jump into the video and see how I use all of these pots and planters. Starting with the first DIY, I'm

using

three of these larger terra cotta pots, they come in a two-pack at Dollar Tree, so this is two packs to get all three and then I'm using one of these wooden circles from the lobby of hobbies as well as a dollar tree dowel, so I tried to make a hole inside the wooden circle that would fit the dollar tree and it was very loose, so I upgraded to a larger dowel rod from Walmart, but for this project I wanted to create like the big boozy pots you see all over Pinterest during the spring with the huge terra cotta pots.

I thought it would be really fun to make a mini. version of this, so I glued the rod in place on the circle, painted all my pots white and then while I had my drill, I went ahead and drilled the bottom of these to make the hole a little bigger. Sanded around the top just because I didn't want to paint the inside and then stain the bracket with this tile stain. This definitely seems harder than it is. I thought it was going to be difficult to get them to stay aside, but it was. Not at all, so the first one I just tilted to the side, I even hot glued a small block in there to make sure it wouldn't fall off.

I glued it to the rod at the top just as a kind of tack. I put it in place and then do the same thing just sticking it in where the rod touches and they turned out perfect so I was worried about this staying together but it's so sturdy I'm very careful moving it and then I wanted to fill this with some beautiful succulents from Dollar Tree, as well as some amazing new ones I found at Walmart, so I filled it with whatever styrofoam I had, as well as some Spanish malls, and then tried to rearrange the little succulents I had.

I bought a big batch pot that had this and I loved it so much and I was so excited to find out that Walmart actually sells this on its own, so it's about five dollars, but it's very high quality and you really feel it. really real and it's really pretty and doesn't look cheap so I thought it was cool to let this dangle and hang off the edge. I am obsessed with how this turned out and being in this tiny mini version it looks so beautiful. and it goes very well with all my neutral decoration. Next up is an adorable little piece that is sure to catch your eye.
I think this little one turned out so cute, so you have to go on Pinterest and search for potted people, there are thousands. As far as ideas go, people are very creative, but I thought it would be really fun to take that idea and make a little neutral green guy that would be perfect for a bohemian farmhouse, so I'm using two of the larger pots from Dollar Tree as well as two of the smaller ones, I ended up tying the two smaller ones together with a piece of jute twine with a small knot to keep them together.
I chose the moss green color to give them this beautiful finish and I didn't. A little sloppy when painting this because I knew I was going to paint the bottom of these or technically that's the top but then I decided not to. I love that terracotta color so I decided to go ahead and sand it down to make it more. of a straight line and then my little person needed a face, so I took my chalk just to be super sure and etched the little eyes so they were as uniform and had the shape I wanted and then I started with my painting. and I put it up permanently and I'm giving it away freely, but you can definitely cut out the little pieces of paper, trace it on paper and cut it out to get a more perfect symmetrical shape.
I just did my best to get them. as straight and symmetrical as possible and then I take my marker and I go ahead and draw the little circular nose and I also fill in the little mouth and it's so much fun to put this little guy together. I added a ton of hot glue. Hold the arms in place and also place the top pot down and then filling the top small pot is so fun you can definitely put in some real potting soil and add a real plant or some kind of greenery or herbs or something like that .
It would grow there and be very fun like chia herb. I decided to use more of that hanging succulent that I love so much that it looks like hair that's actually hanging down. I feel like I needed a little more. detail because I'm doing a more neutral color and I didn't go crazy and add a lot of details so I put the jute twine in there and I love it I love the way it looks I think it's so adorable and it's perfect for Make this spring for the next project. I wanted to create something like a larger planter project that I could display on a porch or patio.
I'm starting with this larger plastic pot and I painted it with this metallic spray paint and it turned into a really nice and I love using textured pots or planters to spray paint them because they have a lot more to adhere to instead of just being shiny plastic, so the paint really clings to this, but I wanted it to look a little bit It's more rustic or galvanized and it dulls that shiny paint, so using a little bit of dark gray and white, I just rub it and brush it randomly until I like it and then I fill it with some styrofoam and some Spanish so I can start adding my

flower

s, these lavender picks came from Walmart, they are huge so they are a little more expensive.
You can substitute some floral picks from the dollar tree, but I really chose to add those high quality pieces and then use a few at random. little white dollar tree

flower

s I glued on the front, but I love how those lavender bushes from Walmart actually give it so much height, so it will look like a prettier piece and I love how the little white wildflowers are in the one below, but I wanted to create a farmhouse like sign to really differentiate this planter from just having flowers, so I'm using an Easter snaffle and tearing off the little piece of plastic to have this wooden stake for my sign and then A from the square wooden pieces from Dollar Tree I painted it silver with spray paint and then applied the dark gray and then once again tried to use the white to make it look a little rustic and I love how I was able to paint the middle. and then rub around the edges to make it look like some kind of chipped paint and then I love these dollar tree rubs and I'm spelling farm fresh.
I wanted to add some extra details on the sign so I put some of the I rubbed the dollar tree vines on and then attached this using wood glue and a little hot glue. I tied some jute twine around the top and then glued this sign in place. I feel like it is such a beautiful piece and it is such a fun spring project that you can create to spruce up your porch or front yard, let me know if you have been seeing these little wooden barrels that are plastic but look like faux wooden barrels of the dollar tree.
I was so excited to find them that I couldn't wait to use them on so many projects and I've actually used one of these before but I wanted to share with you a new way, this is super simple it takes no time but I wanted to give it a better look. adding some handles so the dollar tree has a leather ribbon on it, which is so fun to use, you have to grab some if you see it. It comes in a ton of different colors so I wanted to stick this in with a little space for it to show. like a handle and then I had these leftover upholstery tacks that I bought a long time ago.
I actually took a couple of wire cutters, cut the tack and then glued the thumbtack head or upholstery nail in place on top so it looks like the handle is actually held in place by these pieces and it looks like it has hardware, which is why this gives it such a nice and premium look. I put some old Styrofoam in this pot, put in some Spanish moss and some big dollar tree rocks and then you can be so creative in here and stick in all the succulents you like. It's so fun because there are certain succulents that I don't love, but every time I put them in a centerpiece like this I feel like they look so beautiful together and it adds so much contrast.
I have used this little wooden barrel on a few different projects. I also made this hanging planter. I'll leave a link to that below, but it's a really fun dollar tree piece that has a lot of potential and then we've been using all the other types of planters, so I couldn't leave out these little metal planters. Yes, I did several things with these too, but I wanted to share with you a new project that would go perfect with more like our modern bohemian farmhouse. Look, I just like a mix of everything, so I like the darker metals of modern farmhouses, but I love the light woods of bohemian farmhouses, so definitely let me know in the comments below which one it is your style.
I wanted to give this a different look so I decided to paint the bottom white and then using a black paint marker. I just bought this at Walmart. I'm just doing this freehand. I'm not trying to make it perfect at all. I know my lines are a little crooked. I know my little triangles the triangles were a little crooked it was just the point and bohemian is more about free style and anything goes if you want to try to create something in your own style and people mix it with colors and it just looks so beautiful for me so I filled in whatever kind of greenery I had I had a eucalyptus and some lamb's ears so I threw it all in there with boxwood and everything and I feel like it looks so beautiful all mixed together I added this little tag and that's how attached with the little ribbon decals, looks so beautiful and exactly the look I was going for.
