Genius Ways to Use DOLLAR TREE HUGE SIGNS! | Dollar Tree DIYS (you will actually love to display!)

Apr 13, 2024
Hello dear fans and welcome back to my channel. Yes, today we

will

tackle these great seasonal

signs

. I've used them in countless countless crafts and have tons of ideas, but I want to bring you some fun new things you can do. with these

signs

because they have a lot of potential, they have an incredible size for only a

dollar

and many things you can create with them, don't forget to give me a big thumbs up, it really helps me here on youtube, make sure you are subscribed and let's go ahead and jump to this DIY so first I have some old leftover Christmas signs that I couldn't use and this is a trick that I

love

to do with these and that is to put together multiple signs. together to make larger signs, so this first DIY

will

be a beautiful outdoor porch sign that I

love

how it turned out, but I'm putting these three Christmas signs together.

I like to turn them in opposite directions so all the holes aren't on one side nor the little staple marks and I decided to attach them with something a little heavier since this is going outside so I'm using these long banners and thin ones that I picked up from the Dollar Tree and adding a little bit of wood glue and a little bit of hot glue so the hot glue will hold it in place until the wood glue dries or they are

actually

liquid nails so you can use them on several things, but this just gives it an extra firm hold. and just using the hot glue can cause the sun to heat it up and it will loosen so definitely use that second type of glue and then I love to flip it over and give it a nice base coat so I'm using white chalk. paint I tried not to paint it perfect so it has a little bit of a rustic look and then I al

ways

recommend going back in and painting the back later, especially if it's on a porch whenever there are high winds or something. it gets torn down, you don't want anyone to see the back of this or that, you're reusing the signs so take the extra time to paint the back and then that was the best part of all when you get to decorate this sign.

More Interesting Facts About,

I have these. gorgeous sunflower decals from Dollar Tree or they were wall stickers, but they were beautiful. I even love the little bees that come with them so I glued them all together and then used some wood for the hobby vestibule, well

actually

they're just contact paper um. decals but they have this wood design so that's beautiful so if you want to upgrade you can use these but you can also use the black

dollar

tree

letters or the poster decals so I try to work my way from the center to the edges every time I apply decals like this or letters especially if I have a tight space to put them on and then I thought it would be really cute to put the porch in all caps and then I have this really fun outdoor mod podge um I'm not sure what the difference is .

I haven't tried it or anything, but you could probably add an extra layer of your normal mod podge to your sign. I just want to make sure that these removable wall stickers like sunflowers are not going to be removable so I ended up applying a couple coats of this outdoor mod podge until it was completely covered but I am in love with this sign it is so beautiful and I love that pop of color for the exterior on the porch, how fun. So we were able to take those leftover Christmas signs that are just causing clutter in the closet and turn them into a beautiful piece of decor that you can enjoy all year long?

Next up I'm using another Christmas and winter banner and this one is actually really, really cute but I had several of the same design so I was going to use this one. I al

ways

like to start by removing all the 3D pieces on the front and then I always turn it over to use the back, you just get a nice clean slate to work with and your painting will be very smooth, but again I always recommend painting the back or cover it with craft paper if it goes in, so for this I'm doing the same thing on all these projects that I finished.
Choosing white a lot, I love using white, especially applying it on these wooden signs or these wood colored signs because I love the color of the wood that stands out between the grains of the paint, so I wanted to create a wooden frame to this sign, so it's a really cool trick. What you can do is use the dollar

tree

tower blocks, these little pieces of wood and this takes just a couple of minutes to line up the edges, but it will make this beautiful frame really create beautiful wall art that you can hang on the wall very easy and lightweight using command strips and it only costs a couple of dollars so where can you go to get a

huge

sign like this for a couple of dollars instead of making it yourself so it became a little complicated?
They don't line up perfectly in the middle, so I'm using a pair of my miter shears. I'll link them below. I get a lot of questions about them but they are awesome to have especially for cutting small pieces like this and rods. It does take a little extra force to cut these blocks though, so keep that in mind and then I'm going to stain this with some of my favorite slab dyes. Now it was time to line up all these blocks, so I just kind of do the same thing. to put them back where they need to go, but a really cool trick is that if you glue them down and line them up to the edge of the side, this is not where they will stay permanently.
I'm actually going to glue them to the wood on top, but this helps you get a perfect edge and everything is nice and even and then I'll go back and add that to the outside of the sign and this is the perfect blank canvas that you can add with any words or quotes using your cricut or writing something by hand or painting something but this is perfect for farmhouse signs you could make it into a bohemian sign but I grabbed this blessed wall decal from Dollar Tree. I love how bold and cursive the font was. it looks great against the white and the wood so I go ahead and use my little scraper tool to get it nice and tight and then once again since this is a removable wall sticker I don't want it to come off at all and I want to be able to clean this if it gets dusty hanging on the wall so I give it a coat of mod podge to get everything nice and sealed but it's so beautiful to create and get that beautiful wooden frame using dollar tree elements .
I'm really excited to get the Christmas signs out but I recently bought them a couple of months ago and they were these St. Patrick's Day welcome signs so I wanted to make this video hack or these cool ways on how to use these signs because there are so many. things you can do with them so obviously my favorite thing to do is create large wall art with these and the perfect way to put them together if you're going to gather a couple and hang them on the wall is Using these giant popsicle sticks that you can find at Walmart and then I turn them over and fill the little holes with a little caulk, part of the sign is a little darker because I was testing a stain once, but I'm excited to do it.
Go ahead and reuse this sign even though I tested my stain, but I'm going to go ahead and use my white paint and very carefully put it all over the sign, but leaving some fine spots so you can see. some of that dark color shining through I think is beautiful and then for this sign I'm going to put it up and down and I wanted those pieces of wood to make it look higher quality and like a real pallet sign so using my miter box and my saw and I definitely recommend picking one of these up too, it's perfect for all your little woodworking or craft pieces you want to put together.
I cut up some paint sticks from Walmart that fit perfectly and I go ahead and mix them together as they dry. brush them with a little more white paint and now comes the fun part when you can decorate your pallet sign so I chose this wooden love sign that came from Target Dollar Spot but you can use any type of word. The dollar tree has a ton. of words right now on wood and on metal and then also using a little dollar tree wood box and I'm staining this once again with a little bit of my light color stain and I love this wood color on my white signs because It really pops has that bohemian farmhouse look in a very soft wood like color so I'm in love with this stain it just makes everything look really high end and so much better.
I think I played with it until I liked where they went and then I hot glued everything in place and then I'll add some greenery and some faux dollar tree flowers that I thought were so pretty I actually chose purple for this project , but I feel like it's a perfect color. It gives a pop of color for spring, but also a subtle color that blends with all your neutrals. These specific eucalyptus floral selections come from Walmart, but everything else comes from a dollar tree. You can add more command strips and hang this. on the wall, but I feel like it gives it an extra touch of detail and a gorgeous finish.
If you drill holes in the top of the wooden side, you put some nautical rope and tie it in the front, so if you leave the knots in the front. I feel like it's beautiful and gives it a rustic farmhouse look and just that little extra thing on top to make it all look together, but I love how the sign turned out. My husband even loved it so much that I put it up and have it hanging. on my wall and I will definitely leave it. I think it's so beautiful and I don't know, it makes me so happy to see it and know that this only cost a few dollars and we used mostly dollar store items and then I share another amazing way to make a bigger sign.
This is one of my favorites. This time I'm using some leftover Easter signs, but you can see that all of these signs they put up each season are pretty uniform. Same size, sometimes the ends are cut to look like fake wood planks and sometimes they are straight and you can still pick any of these but I usually pick up a couple each season so I accumulate quite a bit. of these so I'm excited to be able to use them and share with you all these amazing new ways to make new signs and wall art and some really fun decor pieces so I painted it white and then this was so fun I wanted spell I made the word home with these wooden letters from Walmart, but they didn't have an e, so I'm using an f and I'm going to trace all these letters and then paint them and then I'm going to keep these. letters until they have an e next time I'm there and I'll be able to use them for another project, so that was a lot of fun.
I made them multipurpose and then added a welcome sign, it was probably fall or Easter. and I'm going to glue that on top and then I wanted to paint these letters black, so I went over them with a black paint marker just to make sure I'm not going to remove any of the paint. The lines after making sure not to mess up the house, I glued the welcome to the top. You can use some e6000 if you want and then I wanted to share with you how you can make this an interchangeable sign. What I have to do is add a little bit of velcro and then velcro to each item, but I personally love to add a little crown for the o, so I had this little crown ring, I think it comes from the hobby lobby and then I had some eucalyptus left over. pieces I decided to add to the bottom of the wreath.
I had this little burlap rose that I added to the bottom and then using a hook, um, I just folded it up a little bit more, stuck it on the sign and I'll be I can change this up with some different themed wreaths. I may make one for fall and Christmas, but this is a

huge

, beautiful sign that uses those leftover Easter signs that I knew I would have had to throw away if I didn't put them to good use. It was so fun to put together all of these signs and share with you how I was able to reuse all of my seasonal signs, but there are tons of different ways you can use them.
I've used these different shapes in the past, from everything from laundry room signs to porch decor and so much more, you can even cut them to make different sizes, but there are so many things you can do with these and definitely let me know in the comments below what for You have used these signs and I love them. that dollar tree turns them off because like I said, they're a big sign only for a dollar so you'll get a lot of surface area to work with. I really hope you all enjoyed this video. I had a lot of fun trying to come.
Think of different ideas using these huge signs, they are so nice to pick up and have on hand for only a dollar because you can make bigger crafts and it feels like you are getting more for your money, so I really hope you enjoyed it. don't forget to give me a big thumbs up and I'll see you next time happy crafting bye
