The hype for this engine is that Toyota was really smart when they built it. Most engines, if you add a lot of boost and tune them, you end up with an engine that starts to fall apart at the seams, not this one because the block is done. Iron, the crankshaft is forged, the main bearing journals are huge, it has oil jets under the piston and the whole thing is pretty bulletproof, so on the stock internals you can tune it to 700 horsepower and if you rebuild the bottom end, you can go up to 2,000. This one is original, that's really rare, do you know how hard it was for us to find a super that didn't have a thousand horsepower?

This one has an intake and an exhaust, so it sounds good, but honestly, the exhaust noise is completely. overpowered by the turbo noise, in fact the whole straight line experience of this car is really great, the gear selector is great, the clutch is really obvious and the pedals are perfectly spaced for heel and toe downshifts of the foot, oh the wave of momentum is so cool we are lucky to have it. I've driven an R34 GTR just like this one now and I can say I like the engine in this one better than the RB26 in the GTR.

There's just more excitement. Oh, it's the change. I can see why people tune them, that's very addictive and you just want more, but I honestly expected this car to not feel fast by today's standards. It really makes quick changes. Excellent throttle response. Great power. Perfect amount of power enough so you can enjoy it if the redline despite It only costs six and a half thousand allows you to change gears so you can have fun on normal roads, which is exactly what a car like this excels at.
