Oh, I get it, you're just another one. body rap man just talk your snack, take your YouTube swirls and get out good, you know what your audience can see beyond they know why Cyberpunk

2077

is so awesome, dude, you were created by corporate rat man, I'm not one of them, ah, damn. man the game is broken dude no the combat sucks I can't even are you crying?
why is cyberpunk 2077 so bad
They cheered me on stage and told me I was awesome, I don't want to wear these stupid glasses anymore, oh Johnny, I was too. tough man, it's okay, it's okay, man, the game still has potential eight years, I prepared for this and I can't even stop doing the pose in T Hey, now listen to me, you're Johnny Silver Hand, a legend, now look, Things aren't going exactly the way you or I wanted, but guess what we're stuck on like this, so you can do the review with me or just leave it, man, what's it going to be?

why is cyberpunk 2077 so bad...

You're right. right, you really mean that samurai, yeah bro, I think you're in trouble, but I still love you, thanks, act man, it's going to hurt, though are you ready?, yeah, so let's do this, yeah, okay, Let's give it, man, cd projekt red has achieved three incredible ones. Things with Cyberpunk 2077. First, they have exposed everything bad about the games industry and what a recipe, it is hype and unrealistic expectations, a slap in the face of a misleading marketing season, with some rushed deadlines, a bit of work environments toxic, some critics misleading. for taste it has something for everyone and most importantly a complete misunderstanding of the word finished hey call me act at least they finished the damn action figure hey act good man Johnny the second achievement cdpr has demolished much of its reputation and goodwill. which they built for a decade and a third, but most importantly they have created one of the most buggy video games we have ever played.

If you like to complain, you'll love

cyberpunk

, from glitches to bad optimization. Unstable physics. Discordant perspective. The sound design. character models artificial intelligence reward system minimap crafting player customization enemy variety level and weapon design sandbox skill trees story dialogue options open world mechanics there's a lot to unpack but this is outrageous, it's unfair, right? how could cdpr release this game in such a state? Worry Axeman, I'm already writing a threatening letter to the cdpr developers. Bullying solves everything. No game pleases everyone, but this fell far short of everyone's expectations. Okay, so what the hell happened? Where did cdpr go wrong?
why is cyberpunk 2077 so bad
What if Cyberpunk does something well? As? Does it compare to other open world titles and is the story as impressive as Keanu Reeves? It better be okay, let's wake up, jump to Night City and head straight for this, which is something everyone hates: being tricked, tricked, tricked, manipulated, scammed. Do you need more synonyms? I have one. What if I lied to you? There is no doubt that CDPR was extremely dishonest with its promotion of Cyberpunk. I wouldn't be surprised if Todd Howard was behind all this. We're going to need 16 times as many failures and the beauty of it all is that none of it just works, they fooled millions of people, including me and my friend Johnny, and that's something I can't forgive.
The damn corporals tried to attack me, however, with everything against it, the

cyberpunk

manages to not be totally limp, it gets erect from time to time, hell, it even bothers, but there is a big difference between what was promised and what that we got, it all ended up as a lawbreaker at best, it's false advertising, which is a crime and what makes someone a criminal if they get caught. fraud, how else could someone give a game so many awards and so much praise when it's now so blatantly unfinished? I don't know Phoenix well, but I would say that someone has a very good case for a class action lawsuit that we have designed every car and motorcycle with incredible attention to detail, I mean, there are critics, real people with human brains who get paid to review video games and some of them gave cyberpunk a perfect score, even a 9 out of 10 is too generous if that's not the case.
I'm not going to tell you that there's something in the gaming industry, I don't know what it is, but you're not going to like these other websites. The last thing we need is another YouTuber misleading their audience, so let's talk about development, cut content, and false promises. because as we know, that's what cyberpunk looks like on next-gen consoles, you know, the platforms they were released for are so terrible that Microsoft and Sony pulled it from digital stores with the blessing of cdpr. I will add that its shares are down. people getting refunds bad user reviews mass unrest has been a personal nightmare what do you do when you have one of those in your hands? post an apology video on youtube we're sorry but still a lot of people love the game and you know respect it just because we're negative and talking doesn't mean you have to be but this whole thing feels sleazy and that's what bothers me .
CD Projekt Red was seen as this shining beacon of hope that publicly stood against corrupt anti-consumer practices. leave the greed to others you are a liar you are a liar cyberpunk works surprisingly well on last generation consoles you know something you are not telling us, you liar and slimy we will not ship something that is not ready this is also false After Witcher 3, this company became a hero, but as the old saying goes, you either die a hero or live long enough to become a meme, what was the point of releasing the game only to remove it two weeks later?
Eddie's Christmas seller, the most profitable time of the year, this was not a mistake, they knew what state the game was in and decided to release it anyway, intentionally withholding footage of the game on last-gen consoles, they did not receive pre-release copies for series x or ps5 and they banned it. critics showing off their own gameplay is the ultimate irony for a game whose story is about dismantling corporate oppressors cd projekt red became the very thing they swore to destroy want to serve corporations forever well go ahead of course the lie more The biggest thing of all was that cyberpunk would be a smooth, polished game the lie detector determined it was a lie in my other video I showed how false this was glitches ruin everything you can't go 10 minutes without something happening that isn't supposed to happen happen, but on the positive side the failures are hilarious.
Who do you think pulls the strings of the government? has the same unintentional comedy that oblivion has I don't know you I don't know you and I don't care to know that Let me give you a quick rundown of the biggest game-breaking bugs I've ever encountered a quest I totally botched and can't finish it because Johnny doesn't appear sometimes the voiceover cuts out completely i have a score to settle all of us way be nice to your friend tons of scenes have errors since yes try to get involved in the story now and if that's not what Bad enough, there are even corrupt save files that literally made it impossible to continue with the game.
Many Reddit users have compiled lists. with sources of all content cut and promised features a wanted system with corrupt police who are hired and accept bribes dynamic law enforcement that changes behavior depending on where in the city you are over 1000 npcs with daily routines rivaling npcs With Red Dead Redemption 2's wall running mechanic remember that a subway system was clearly cut down and its remains are still in the game Acid Rain and Environmental Challenges Your choice of life path would have a huge effect on the story and the non-linear quest design except it isn't and only two percent of your in-game choices really matter, purchasing properties and customizing them, a day and night cycle that affects the world, these are just a few examples, my point is The cyberpunk version that was promoted for years and the one that was released on December 10 are two completely different things, in fact, it turns out that the E3 showcase in 2018 was all smoke and mirrors. on record, of course some idiots are blaming fans for being excited about this game as if it's somehow the consumer's fault, I mean yeah some probably had ungodly expectations but when you say things like we've vastly improved our systems of audience and community to create the most believable city in any open world game to date, liar, tell us what you know, damn liar, cd did and said everything possible to promote this game up to 11.
They gave us these expectations in first place and, if you could, I didn't fulfill them, you should have delayed it. Good morning x City Act Man, welcome to another spectacular review. This time it's Cyberpunk 2077, but be careful with those glitches because they are everywhere. What if I told you that Cyberpunk actually lives up to all the expectations I had? and it's almost a perfect game for the first six hours, that's the problem, the more I played it the more boring it got, but those first six hours straight, after picking your genitals, you get an opening montage showing the crazy culture of night city life and style, going through one of the three life path presentations, I chose corpo and got this sick neon lit flight through the center full of electric billboards, thousands of apartments, huge skyscrapers, I was Sitting here thinking, damn, this is going to be as good as Bioshock, if not better. you really were a fool to get your hopes up, all this followed by a run in with some thugs, then a tense meeting in a glamorous bar with digital strippers everywhere, dip 100, then a corpo shows up, there's a fight and friend Jackie picks us up and says: new life begins now, very good, it does, oh my god, it's happening, it's happening, I'm really playing cyberpunk, I can't wait to waste the next few weeks of my life on this, you quickly warm up to jackie and The first mission has you. and he rescues a woman and takes her to an emergency trauma team, basically flying ambulances and doctors flying around the city and again I thought, "Oh my god, this is GTA's cyberpunk version of emergency services, that's it." It's great, the next mission is even better, I had like six." different endings and outcomes then you meet the half-faced guy Dexter wishes t-bug all these character moments and wins the game arrives in the first six hours it's amazing, it feels next-gen and then it goes downhill from there, wait a minute Axeman, you're telling me that the quality of the first six hours is nothing like the rest of the game.
Yeah, for starters, that opening montage showing how V and Jackie became known gangsters in Night City, although it's pretty important to the plot, you know? setting the stage, but it's glossed over in a two-minute montage, it would be like being in Philosopher's Stone, if the entire journey from Harry meeting Hagrid to arriving at Hogwarts happened in two minutes, the trauma team, well , you may find the occasional vehicle. around the city, but never appear again or have any gameplay function. Would you believe that the second main quest has the most polished and branching paths in the entire game?
That's right, it's the only part that feels on par with Witcher 3. You never ride or drive a flying car after this the life path only changes the dialogue slightly the character creator seems unbelievable until you realize that you're stuck in it as soon as you press start it seems like the first six hours of cyberpunk are the only part that I fully realized everything they sold me in this period of time and couldn't keep it afterwards. It is a hollow shell. A facade with that out of the way. Finally let's jump into the most immersive open world game ever created.
That's what I'd say if Cyberpunk came out in the year 2000. It caught you when the game runs like it's supposed to. Cyberpunk's settings and graphics style are unbeatable. The night city is simply stunning. Every location, be it a sprawling alley, a downtown market, a club is packed with details and people to the point where you constantly stopped to see it all in the art style. It's phenomenal. NPCs have all kinds of implants, upgrades, and crazy outfits. They've created an entire culture in this game with terms like Chum Gunk and Eddys, and the world is full of shards.
Information about the background. It's so funny to read this, especially when you get on someone's computer and see an ad for penis enlargement surgery. Thats not all. If you get on an elevator, you will see a short news broadcast or perhaps witness somefun commercials, but Night City is only impressive on the surface level, graphics, lighting, atmosphere, sure these things help Cyberpunk stand out, but they don't help the gameplay. There is much to see and everything to do in Night City. Okay, I'm here at the casino guys. Now who is willing to lose some money? I can't bet here if you look at cyberpunk in a vacuum where no other open world game exists, it's not bad, but compare this to anything in the same genre and cyberpunk gets erased more than kaiba, so let's do it. which at first glance the minimap shows tons of things to do you have side missions concerts and crimes now the crimes have no context hey go kill these guys okay good job killing them the concerts are a little better but the template es go to this place kill these people steal a car get a virus carry a body here escort this person there it's always the same me v help me do this thank you for doing this v the side missions are a little different these are the ones You have story you could come across a sentient vending machine and strike up a humorous conversation.
You're great, helpful, just a complete type of guy just to come back and find a woman looking for relationship advice or you might get a call from a guy who gets a faulty penis implant and I need you to take him to a ripper doctor my favorite personal was to find a smart talking gun that increases the volume by 66 percent name I am not deaf I understand hearing within the norm possible problem low IQ reducing the speed of speech by 33 at the moment add a There is a lot of character and life In Night City, what do you think, kill me please?
But the truth is that good quests make up about 10 percent of the entire game. I don't recommend anyone try 100 at this game. Probably the most egregious is the side quest. where they promote this tank, the basilisk, and you spend more time in the tutorial learning how to use it than using it and guess what it sucks, well at least you have to hit the frying pan, I mean how was that, I'm sorry, but no? Did CD Project Red say that each mission would have the same level of polish as those in Witcher 3? Yes, in that game you really cared about what you were doing in Witcher 3, you would hunt various monsters and learn about what.
The thing is terrorizing the land, how it is doing it and why you would find a corpse and Geralt would be like this, this is the work of a night specter. She was murdered and raped. I'm going to burn her clothes, which will draw her here and then me. I'll kill her using my silver sword of death and I'm like, oh yeah, you could meet an old friend and decide whether or not to work with him, your choices affected future quest lines, I mean, you could forgive or kill the main characters . I can't believe the best side quests in Cyberpunk aren't even half as good as the worst in Witcher 3.
I always feel so disconnected from everything that's going on and it's because we never leave V's field of vision, everything happens through Of their eyes. without any real cinematics it makes everything so boring to watch, it also doesn't help that the writers focus more on the what than the why, do you even remember what the dispute between the ghosts and the aldi broths was about? I do not know what. makes an open world game dynamic, awesome, no, johnny, the people in it, cyberpunk has all these cool factions of gangs, genetically enhanced super humans, thugs, criminals, but most of them are as interesting as the destiny plot 1.
I mean, they sure talk about these. There are many gangs, but I can't tell you anything about Tiger Claws or who runs them and why what they like to do, masturbate each other in the bathroom. If I know, compare this with oblivion, remember the fighters of the Dark Brotherhood, thieves and magicians. Guild quest lines, damn you could dive into each of these factions and dare I say it. Role play. Each had its own finely tuned plot with many twists and turns. You had to assassinate an entire chapter of the dark brotherhood. Unravel a plot. to destroy the wizard guild added depth, you have invested no, no, I'm too late I thought I could get here in time I thought I could stop you what am I doing for Valentino Moxes' scavenger animals I don't know but I can tell?
You, Lucy and Lachance are some badasses, you also have to wonder why there isn't a reputation system in Wow. You could improve your standing with trolls, orcs, tauren, etc., New Vegas had reputations too. Remember Caesar's legion, the steel brotherhood of the great khans, depending on your position, these groups. he would treat you differently maybe he would offer you special products or attack you on site you have three days to improve your reputation with the ncr or we are coming for you you make conscious decisions about who to ally with you return to san andreas man you can get involved in the gang war and change what the gangs have, what territory is how I want to get involved.
I want to help these factions take over the land or convince them to fight each other. Why are there no massive battles? Because the AI can barely stand to walk in a straight line the factions of oblivion world of warcraft new vegas san andreas are infinitely more developed than those of cyberpunk the side missions have no identity and neither do you cyberpunk does not make you feel like a murderer or a master thief a monster assassin diplomat arena champion gang leader nothing there is no system of morality there is no reason to make good decisions over bad ones but in Night City you can be anyone sorry johnny but you can't there is no room to be whoever you want in cyberpunk Because there's no one you want to be Oblivion was a revolutionary title for artificial intelligence and video games when it was released in 2006.
It's pretty comical today, but can you imagine how embarrassing it would be if I told you that Oblivion has better AI What Cyberpunk? true, yes, oblivion feels like a living breathing world, yes it's a very basic one, npcs wander the streets, everyone goes to bed, drinks, eats, talks to people, fights with each other. Cyberpunk's AI is so simplistic that it can't even handle basic things. What's that? watch any video that compares cyber clunk to any other open world game and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about look, I don't like it when someone stares at me, another thing is that there is no real recognition of your actions, remember in Skyrim how You'd walk past someone and they'd all say, Wow, you're pretty good with one-handed weapons.
You spend a lot of time masturbating. Do I recognize the time you've spent doing that? You've got a real bounce in your step, I bet you're quite the fable-earned acrobat, people would say: oh, it's a chicken hunter, chicken hunter, there's something about the name chicken hunter that makes you sound like a, I'm not saying that every game should make you feel like the second coming of Christ, but to do something, let me feel like my actions are affecting the world and those around me, but how's the exploration. I will say that they did a great job of characterizing the different districts.
You can witness a giant war memorial or a head. In the wastelands, where people are tougher, you can go to the garbage dump or see the slums and unfinished buildings of the peaceful city project. it just doesn't end at least you expect to see some interesting or crazy things happening in the night city well bad i feel so detached from the city because it doesn't feel real i'd rather deep dive into the sith temples in korriban or head to the vaults of new vegas without knowing what am I going to find there are no risks or bets there is no powerful night keeping a secret item in a hidden place there is no demonic door I have to solve a puzzle to open I feel like I'm just Clearing points on a map, there are very rare cases where You come across something interesting, like when I found this group of people who committed suicide in the wastelands and they were all connected to the same machine, but these moments are extremely rare, remember.
In gta all the crazy vehicles and things you could use can i ever blow up a car? uh, using a jet pack, parachute, snowmobile or jet ski, no, in this advanced society, our only means of transportation are cars and motorcycles, I guess the double jump is cool. But if you're interested in a living world with things to do, just drive beyond the night city. So what can you do in Cyberpunk? Go to a shooting range, race cars, fight in boxing matches and shoot people. There's this short clip of a roller coaster. traveling in one of the trailers can I ever write it?
No, I can't even have fun being a murderous psychopath because the AI is so brain dead, NPCs missing, cops showing up out of nowhere and shooting you, no car chases, minigames, nothing. What cocktails to have all these unplayable arcade machines spread out everywhere for comparison. Here is a short list of some things you can do in GTA 5. Hunt animals. Go to the movies. Ride a roller coaster or a Ferris wheel. an airplane an airship go diving rob a store invest in the stock market play arcade games pick fights with npcs look at the end of the day cyberpunk may be a visually impressive game but it is not mechanically impressive it stops surprising you after six hours of opening The world titles are far ahead in terms of content and life Night City is a lifeless and soulless world that is white as an ocean deep as a puddle before destroying the actual gameplay, let's talk about the positives.
Cyberpunk does a great job of creating so many playstyles and making them all viable with expansive perk trees a ton of different weapon attachments cyberware you can sneak up on enemies and snap their necks hack them from afar melt their brains storm with weapons of fire you can grab a katana and turn into genji it's a real wonder to experiment with everything wow, with such a diverse range of weapons and tools you could have fun playing cyberpunk forever. I mean, how could you be bored? No, really, how well, Johnny, if you can approach each encounter the same, how is it different from the last?
If I can always do the same thing in the same situations, then there is no variety and the game doesn't challenge me. Here are the crippling flaws that remove almost any enjoyment from combat. The challenge in Cyberpunk is based on the principle of pure i. I played hard, you know? Those boxing matches, hell, man, I was at level 41 and if one of these guys hit you like five times, you're dead. I don't know if cdpr had a monkey in the development room when I programmed this part of the game, but someone please tell me why these guys take so many hits that I can't even block without taking damage.
Let me know if you want a rematch. I can not believe it. It takes me more than 11 minutes to finish something. of these fights 11 minutes of exploiting broken fighting mechanics this is horrible you know what else it's eighty percent of my deaths were due to some stupid explosive barrel or mine that kills you at full health no matter your level or hp it's Okay, so what's up with this? of one-hit kills you met my guys here just couldn't resist, man had to throw in this whole one-hit kill because apparently no one learned anything from Halo 2. There's no limit to how many healing items you can have .
I can just suck on your inhaler and brute force everything without any strategy or thought. Not once have I had to ration my grenades or my healing or ammo. There is no cooldown or penalty for abusing it. That's just bad design. I want to use consumables. Pause the game. Gonna. backpack look at the item and use it how about you let me toggle through a quick select bar or here's an idea let me use consumables during a fight when I need them. If you can forgive everything so far, then allow me to present you with one final piece. of evidence, your honor, throw away the clip Hi, I'm the lead developer of CD Project Man in Cyberpunk 2077.
You know, in the eight years we've been playing this game, we didn't really have time to program interesting enemies with complicated behaviors, I want say. Let's be honest, who enjoys that, so what we ended up doing was making the game as comedic as possible and I think the results speak for themselves. We designed all of our npcs and enemies with new cutting edge technology that not only predates our last title. Witcher 3 but it also predates the original halo, yes our game is that bad enemies sometimes don't react at all to your presence, they can freeze, do a T-pose, launch themselves into the air, get stuck in some geometry, in any moment, Rai is capable of failing. up to 7,562 dynamic shapes, so yeah, um, we're up there, you know, I can usually tolerate a game that has a huge variety of enemies or amazing AI, but it's absolute torture to play something that doesn't have even the more you play, the less thinking and strategy. you have to put it, it is possible thatyou are leveling up and fighting tougher enemies but they still have the same stupid AI but the worst thing is the actual variety of enemies, we have drones, bigger drones, robots, cybernetic psychos and humans, now humans can be slightly different , but the changes. they are mostly unnoticeable in my 55 hours of play.
I've been in maybe four unique boss fights. Can you imagine how boring Witcher 3 would be if 98 of your fights were against people? Can you imagine how stale Halo 3 would become if it lasted 30 hours? and you just fought grunts and jackals again compare cyberpunk to something like New Vegas equally wacky but with a lot more enemies geckos bloodthirsty ghouls mole rats night stalkers different gangs a lot more the lack of enemy variety really kills any excitement they're supposed to have open world games when you're wandering around in new vegas skyrim dragon age dark souls witcher 3 runescape you're always looking around the corner excited and scared to see what you'll find you don't look around corners and cyberpunk because you already know what's there there just Another group of types, I mean, Witcher 3 has a whole bestiary on the types of enemies you fight, complete with strategic tips and general information.
In the first few hours of Witcher 3, you'll be thrown into a boss fight against the griffin and it's rarely cyberpunk awesome. increases your encounters and as a result they lack tension, so while you can't destroy your enemies in 15 different ways, and while it can be satisfying at times, no matter how much you progress, the encounters are the same brain dead , but there is no variety. Cyberpunk's core gameplay is infuriatingly boring for a long time. Something about Cyberpunk's story really bothered me and I couldn't put my finger on it. Each scene is shown to us in first person from V's perspective, in fact, not many open world RPGs are exclusively first person.
I can't think of any, it's either completely in third person or you also have the option to switch to first person. It's not that strange. I'm not a game design expert, but I think a third-person view helps you connect. the character because you can see it, think about it general shepherd revanarthur morgan cloud aloy the hero cole phelps nico bellic the link of the chosen living dead we see all these characters interact with the world and people from afar, but we still feel like we are in their shoes now If you stick with a first person view that usually works better for quieter protagonists master chief gorden freeman doomguy jack but even in first person games we will see pre-rendered cutscenes that show our character doing something, this adherence to a first person perspective person not only makes it difficult to immerse yourself in it. city at night, but it makes it difficult to connect with v is a limitation the lack of cinematography or interesting camera angles hurts the presentation of the story because we are trapped in this narrow view of these eyes many of these dialogue sections would be much more engaging. they were shown in third person, hell they did that in the game presentation and then they have the scenes where v is talking to johnny in first person so those parts feel more personal.
Could you just tell me you wanted to act up close, man, but when you run out? a game you really don't have time for. I think the reason General Shepard worked so well and became a model for RPG protagonists is because you saw how he interacted with everyone. I'm tired of your sensational journalism. So many scenes fail. Immerse myself because it seems like just two NPCs from Oblivion talking to each other oh hello, how are you today? I've been better. And you? I've been better. Imagine writing a story in which you almost never see the main character.
It's for everyone. These reasons why I can't immerse myself in the narrative one of the biggest selling points was how much control you would have over your appearance in a futuristic world where body modification is common. Cyberpunk doesn't give you the option to change your appearance, that's there. There is not a single barber or tattoo artist anywhere in the night city. The character creator doesn't let you change body type, oh, but at least you can choose between two different penises or decide if you want nipples or not. The clothes are also upstairs. Remember in the dark souls.
They used to call it souls of fashion because all the armor was so cool that people cared less about the stats and more about the looks, well it's the complete opposite here your character looks like a complete buffoon, okay you get the point, act man, Come on, keep going. Finally we get to the story and cyberpunk's last chance to go down in history as something not terrible, but as I write this I'm having trouble describing what happens, I mean, there's a loosely connected narrative about a botched heist and these consciousnesses being invaded by the Living Memory of Johnny Silverhand, a chain-smoking punk rock terrorist from 50 years ago.
The game is full of unique and quirky characters, but what really kills the narrative is that no one has clear motivations. Why did Johnny bomb Arasaka headquarters? What are you talking about is corporations? offer corporations any particular reason you hate corporations corporations that's good why did you do this to put an end to the madness just tell me what you want what you really want help me settle the score against our osaka that's all blah blah blah our football , blah blah, crush makoshi, you see, v's main goal is to be the best mercenary like no one ever was to do concerts, it's his real test to get Johnny out of his head, it's his cause, but I want Say you want to live safely, but why do you care? whether you are remembered or not, quiet life Mr.
V, you are a blaze of glory, why does it matter? Legends are born here without any deeper meaning behind the actions of our protagonist. Everything fails for me. The only person who feels convincing is Judy, who is outside. to get revenge for the death of a close friend in a world where there are so many stories to tell, it's shocking how little I care about most of them, I mean, it's a good idea to have a man in verse writing a narrative in a video game, but Cyberpunk is all premise and has no depth for every 30 minute scene of intense dialogue, about 28 minutes of that is what are we doing, what are we going to do next, what happens after that, it would have been much more compelling if these motivations self-preservation were tied to Johnny's imminent death overcoming his body against his will, perhaps instead of killing Jackie he is on life support and wants to be alive if he ever wakes up from his coma.
You know, maybe he's like I want to be the best in town at night so I can make a difference we're going to have children's hospitals and this place is going to have less style or I want to control everything so no one will ever be with me again or hey man, I just want to survive and get through this I don't really care what happens, you know, this would add some morality and allow the player to decide what they're really after and how they get it, so I'd say the plot itself is pretty cool. mediocre, no matter what the characters are like. very convincing at times, especially in the last part of the game, when you help Johnny reconcile with his past, you live through his memories and see a different side of him that no one has seen before and in turn, he sees the same in you , you seem to know a lot about my past, well, seeing glimpses of your past just like you've seen glimpses of mine, these are the best parts of the game.
I really felt like I formed a strong connection with Johnny and it's up to each player whether he's good or bad. relationship is when cyberpunk is at its best when things slow down and it's just v and johnny talking about life and the situation they're in he's in his head the world is in his head and you're in his head because my head is in or when Johnny shows up out of nowhere to give his advice, you know how they are going to move forward, work together or against each other, but the question behind all of this is why is he never given the time of day to the one who really needs to say something.
Deeper, how do I want to be the best mercenary in town? Is it through building charities or murdering all the bags in the city, which is apparently half the population? You don't really have any agency besides a handful of missions and how the story ends. and in the end you are not a hero or a savior or even a villain, you are just calling cyberpunk 2077 an unfinished game, that is, water is wet, the farce that was launched on December 10 will be remembered as one of the biggest disappointments in the gaming history cyberpunk isn't even half of what everyone wanted it to be, it's impossible to give this game a positive review based solely on the unfinished state and misleading post-release marketing without the glitches and bugs it would be mediocre in the best case. but here's the problem: I don't think another year would have made this one of the goats, I would have simply made it functional because, at its core, cyberpunk is flawed in its design, immersion is constantly destroyed by technical problems, the city nighttime lacks significant activities. and fun things to do that all other open world titles offer.
Cyberpunk fails to offer an interesting open world with incredible AI that makes it feel real. Games from 16 years ago have done it better. CD Projekt Red has done it better. The AI is ridiculously poor. and without variety of enemies, combat becomes boring and monotonous. The first person perspective limits how interesting the story can be. The characters don't have compelling motivations most of the time and too much dialogue focuses on fictional technology and all sorts of nonsense about the different factions. you have no personality or real relevance the night city doesn't change around you your actions don't matter i sure enjoyed some of the banter between v and johnny and it was pretty fun for the first 10 hours or so but the bad parts are unbearable and the good it's half-assed at best, cd projekt red shot themselves in the foot by giving everyone ridiculous expectations compared to what they could deliver, it really is a shame and believe me when I say I get no pleasure from trashing it like this. thank you for coming with me on this journey johnny you really were the best part of it all it really was an act of pleasure man i won't forget you and i won't forget old johnny silverhand now let's get this over with and send everyone off. home and that's why Cyberpunk 2077 is so bad, me and the board are the ones making the final decisions and it was our call to release the game, although believe me, we never intended for something like this to happen.
