The genre has really spared no expense or even this part of the board here has all the genuine seams. Contrasting stitching on this part. This look here is also really cool with the way I've integrated this kind of oval shape with the climate controls with a digital screen here and you can see that the ventilated and heated seats are all on the screen. It works pretty well, although the cooled seats could be a little colder. I found them a little colder. It is cold, but I have tried some other cooled seats that feel a little colder than this vehicle.
Now looking at the steering wheel you can see, as I mentioned, if you don't like the gv80's two spoke steering wheel. I'm going to like this three spoke wheel you have on the gv70, although I will say that this metal trim here is real metal because I got burned when doing a lotIt's hot outside, so that's something to keep in mind, you're going to touch this area here. but it has a nice fat grip on the steering wheel, metal shift paddles, you have these touch sensitive buttons, you have this nice scroll wheel here for the audio system and you can also change and adjust the appearance if you want to press this button.

It's not like any of the Hyundai systems I'm used to, so that's cool. The genesis, you know, went its own way with the infotainment system. When I put the vehicle in reverse, you can see it has a full top down in 360. camera with great graphics and resolution, you can even press this button here, you can see it will give you an exact view of the car where you can pan around the car and In fact, you can change the color of the card to represent the color you obviously bought it for. I had to change it to the red color, but they also offer a nice matte purple color, so it's great, very high-end, exactly what I expect from European brands, but it was a much less expensive price.
Very few complaints with the infotainment system other than the fact that it doesn't have wireless Apple Carplay and has a bit of a far range. I loved that vehicle and the redesigned g80, so now that I've also driven basically every model except this one, my bar is pretty high, my standards are pretty high, my expectations are high because the genesis has been meeting those expectations since This brand came out in 2016. The BMW also feels a bit quicker because BMW tends to underestimate its inline six cylinders. However, it has much better ride quality than the Mercedes amg glc43 and the BMW. This is similar to the ride quality of the Audi. but it has a lot more performance, it just feels like you're in aGood middle ground between the fast paced performance of the BMW and the Audi or Mercedes, but the comfort of the Audi has really great performance, oh I love the quickness of this SUV, I mean yes they do.
Offer it with a turbo four-cylinder and that's probably all the engine you need. I feel like I'm driving an expensive European car, that's what's great about this vehicle, but let's try accelerating from a stop. I'm going to do 0-60, I'm just going to hit the floor, I definitely want to use the throw. The control is still fast, although I am very impressed. This beats all the other German SUVs I've driven. Obviously, there is a new Lexus nx coming out. I'll be driving it next month, but it's still a front wheel drive platform. This is probably one of the most complete in luxury space that I've ever driven, it doesn't make you sacrifice either, you know, the thing about this car is that you don't feel like you're sacrificing much, you don't feel like you're sacrificing interior space you're not sacrificing the handling you're not sacrificing comfort you're definitely not sacrificing luxury it just seems like the only thing you might be sacrificing is the name yes, Genesis doesn't have the same prestige as a porsche, an audi, a bmw, a mercedes, but you can look further beyond that name and this car really attracts a lot of attention.
Just from having it for the last few days I noticed that everyone was looking at this car, especially this beautiful, beautiful, shiny car. Red exterior with this dark navy blue interior. I didn't think I'd like a red and blue combination, but I like it on this car, that's for sure. And I'm struggling, honestly, I'm struggling to find things to dislike, I mean, other than the fact that the name doesn't. whether you'd like it or not it's as sophisticated as those German brands and some of the technology definitely has a higher learning curve, but regardless of whether I'm sitting here getting a massage, the seats are heated and cooled, comfortable and provide support.
I am amazed now I only drive the vehicle in comfort mode at the moment. You'll just accelerate normally like most people. You would feel a lot of torque from the V6. The transmission is also very smooth. The engine changes do not make any noise. Usually you have to spec an options package, but with this car the tires should actually still shoot up a bit. It just feels so good and when you want to use the driver assistance technology, it has its highway driving assist.
It also has full speed range adaptive equipment. It has lane keeping assist. Everything works very well. He is among the best in the industry. The only. What it doesn't do is that it doesn't automatically change lanes like Mercedes would and it doesn't have true hands-free operation on the road. I guess Genesis may be working on that and I guess fuel economy. it's not the best it's rated 19 city 25 highway the germans are definitely better specifically bmw it's on par with the audi sq5 and during my week of testing i've been averaging around 17 mpg mostly on city. driving on the highway will return 25 24 mpg, I imagine for those of you who drive a little more conservatively you should be able to do better, but man, you don't need to have electricity if you're not interested in getting it. electric, I mean, that's really another complaint, there's no hybrid version, there's no plug-in hybrid, there's no all-electric version of this car.
Genesis is taking its time and they are making a really impressive gas car, but among gas cars, this one is now my favorite. I would easily choose this one over the BMW, over the Mercedes and over the Audi. I mean, it's a pretty close race, but it really comes down to the overall package and the fact that this car gives you a better warranty. You know your concierge service better, you don't have to go to the dealership and it's much better value; It costs five to ten thousand dollars less than its European rivals, so although Genesis may be late to the small SUV party after spending a full week with its newest crossover.
I'm very impressed with the overall package here. It has all the latest luxury, it has lots of space, great driver assistance technology and as you guys saw in the driving scene, lots of power, I wasn't expecting to get 0-60 in around 4.8 seconds with this car, so which is faster than the latest Audi. sq5 and that is what makes this car so attractive, although it is not as sporty as the sq5, the glc or the x3, it has all the luxury and technology aspects that you really want at a price that far exceeds its competitors Germans. at about 41k plus target at about 12 grand if you want the v6 i would go with the v6 just because i like the extra performance my tester of course has the sport advanced and sport prestige package which adds about another nine One thousand dollars.
For the price, add it all up and you're looking at a total price of around 64,000, which yes, is more expensive than something like a Lexus nx or an Acura rdx, but the Acura and Lexus don't offer an engine. that would compete with this one and if you compare it to its German rivals this car seriously undercuts it by five to ten thousand dollars making it a very attractive option even though the Genesis was late to the party, it is now one of my best options if you are looking for a new luxury compact crossover SUV.
