In this video, I'm sharing with you how to put together some

kitchen

DIYs using items from Dollar Tree that I know you'll love, so be sure to stay tuned to see how it all came together to get started on this first DIY I wanted. Make this little farmers market stand out because I'm going to be making some little fake eggs to display a little later so I thought it would be so cute to have a little farmers market sign next to it so I'm using one of these little ones . square wooden signs. I'm going to turn it upside down so that it forms a little shadow box.

I'm going to go ahead and fill in the holes and then I'm going to remove this little piece of cardboard that came off of one of these little signs. It was already glued a little crooked so I knew I wasn't just going to display this as normal

decor

but I was going to use it as a DIY and I'm using truffle brown chalk paint to go along the edges of course I was. I do not recommend going out and purchasing any of these items. You can definitely make these with items you already have on hand because my entire family and I have been staying home for quite a while, so these are just items I've purchased.

I've been excited to be able to use them for a couple of weeks now, I had already planned a few of these projects, but you can definitely replace any of these items that I'm using with things that you already have instead of having that farmers market sign that you could use. stickers to

decor

ate your own farmers market sign and then I'll also do a different version of this a little later in the video, but to continue with my vision for this project, I have these candle holders that I was going to use. the original chandelier that I use in every project for this one, but I saw this one and I thought I'd give it a different look so I'm painting the glass brown and then I really wanted this to light up because all day today.

The projects have a bright white color theme with the black and white modern

farmhouse

kitchen

look so that's what I'm trying to keep here so I went and dry brushed the white over the top of the brown . and I let it dry and then I did the same thing with the candle holders and then I hot glued that little sign there. You could also do something like a printable and just write farmers market. You'll have to let me know in the comments below if you enjoy the cables including the printables they make or if you just don't have a printer or something you don't like to mess with, I'd love to know because printable is something I would love.

I would like to investigate if you think you would like to use it, so since I love anything distressed, I went over it with a piece of sandpaper and it just adds the scratches in the paint and gives it a beautiful texture. I think it makes it look more faux wood, but I love the way that little sign looks. You could leave it as is and just place it on a tiered tray, but I really wanted to elevate this little sign so I could set it up like I say buy some little eggs I'm going to make or you could put this with a little floral bouquet, but it's that simple for just a few

dollar

s to put together a beautiful little sign like this to spruce it up a little more.
I had taken one of these burlap bows off of an Easter sign so I'm reusing it and hot glued it on and then wanted to add just a touch of greenery. I'm obsessed with adding this bit of greenery to everything right now, so I thought it was too cute to add that in the corner and this is how it turned out. I think it's adorable. It definitely looks like a rustic

farmhouse

. It could go with a more modern theme or more of a rustic farmhouse theme, but I thought it was beautiful. combined with this little jar of milkweed that I bought from Dollar General, as well as some of these little fake eggs, below I'll show you how I do it, so it's super simple, you don't really need a DIY on how I painted. these eggs, but I want to show you the technique that I use to help you out a little bit, so I hope you all stocked up on these eggs.
I know I have some of these left over from last year and I moved on. and I bought them as soon as a couple more came out, so I have a few of these on hand. I was really excited to turn them into something more of a kitchen DIY. I don't make many farm animals in my kitchen. like the cow and the pig, but I think little touches like these are just adorable and can really be incorporated into any kitchen, especially when you have the neutral farmhouse look, you can pretty much put anything in there, but these little speckled eggs are so colorful . for Easter and they are beautiful and I bought some to use for Easter DIY but I just want that neutral look for this farmhouse project so I didn't have any skewers or anything to put these eggs on so I'm just using my little brushes and the ones I glue on these eggs they have the perfect size little hole at the bottom for these paper wishes to slide in there and then I'm painting them with my white chalk paint and I ended up only having to do one coat but I put one more coat on them thick there and then I stamped them just on a piece of extra floral foam so they could stand up and dry really well without rolling on the table, so I'm going to let them dry 100%. so I'm not mixing paint, but I wanted that speckled look back.
I went ahead and wanted to look like the original speckled white egg that came in this set, but I went ahead and painted them all because I want them to look exactly the same. I know a toothbrush works best for this. I just didn't have any extra and I'm sure it's a time when you don't want to use all your good stuff because you don't know when you're going to be out again, so I'm trying this Mod Podge brush because the bristles are a little bit harder and I dipped it in a little bit of thin black acrylic paint and then I'm just running my With my thumb over there you can tell I used the gloves because this is very messy and I love how it looks with those little specks and black, not really polka dots, but black specks on everywhere and they're just adorable and I think they're really cute so I'm really hoping it shows up on camera so you can see it and because they kept moving and falling as I was trying to move forward on this project, I did at one time each of these dams using some of this. adorable black and white plaid ribbon that I bought at Dollar Tree and it goes perfect with all of today's projects.
I tied it to give it a little more detail. I just double knotted the front without doing a full bow but I think they are adorable and go perfect with my new farmers market sign and really beautiful for that neutral farmhouse kitchen and of course I love making my own diy wall decor so i had to make a kitchen piece or this would be perfect in the dining room. room but I found one of these Dollar Tree frames that says gather around the table and I think it's the perfect farmhouse look but I really wanted to upgrade it instead of just leaving it in that Dollar Tree frame that makes it look .
In my opinion, it is cheaper to degrade the wall art. I really wanted to decorate it, so using one of these square signs. I know I had bought these same ones last year. I actually went ahead and bought some of these additional ones at the beginning of this year and like I said, I just want to make that little piece of art as big as possible and give it more impact because I don't like hanging little pieces of art from a

dollar

, so Taking this square piece and there are a couple of different options, they have the black and white scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby or a softer gray and white.
I'm usually used to wearing more buffalo plaid or gray and white plaid because it has that. softer look and I love the neutral at the moment, but for the kitchen, for some reason, I enjoyed the black and white a little better, so that's what I decided to use. I cut it to size, added some Mod Podge and then away I went. Go ahead and Mod Podge on top of this black and white buffalo check print. The print I bought is more of a rectangular one, like an eight and a half by 11 printer paper size, but I want it to go more with the square. size for some reason I think the square looks really nice I guess it looks more like you were printing an eight and a half by eleven sheet of paper and framing it to give it a different look, so all the decoration on the wall isn't the same but I went ahead and just trimmed the bottom and then used that for the top so I knew I was getting the exact amount and without cutting them. little bits of black vegetation on the top and bottom, but they're not in vegetation if they're black, but they're just, you know what I'm talking about?
Those little designs, I thought were so cute, as you can see. It just looks beautiful in that black and white. This was a mistake I made. You should just flip it over and completely cover the back with Mod Podge. I ended up for some reason not thinking about trying to rush in and do this. I simply applied Mod Podge. around the edges and just draws a big bubble in the center. I know better, it's just when you're in the moment when you're doing things, sometimes you just don't think about making it perfect, so anyway I had to try to fight to get it as flat as possible, but in the end I was able to smooth it out as much as possible. enough and put another coat of Mod Podge on it, so the next thing I'm going to do is punch a couple of holes because I think things look a lot better when you don't just hang everything with twine, of course I do that too and it's an

easy

fix hang something on the wall, but if you had the nautical rope and it's just beautiful. touching it makes it look really nice to hang this with something besides the thin jute rope.
I didn't have a big enough drill bit, so the hole in the sign was too small for the nautical rope to go through, so I ended up having to wrap the end with duct tape so it wouldn't fray and I could push it in there, but so It's how it turned out, as I say. I think it looks high-end for that nautical rope and checkered background. I think it's a gorgeous piece and a perfect inexpensive way to upgrade that $1 dollar

tree

wall art. Moving on to the next project. I found some of these little wooden circles and they were actually called wreath ornaments or wreath charms and they came with this. a little twisted tie that you're supposed to run across the entire table and tie together like a wreath or something and there have been so many times I've wanted a wooden circle from Dollar Tree, so when I roll all of those up before this year I bought like 10 of them so I'm really excited to use them and then I thought this was the perfect sign for the farmhouse kitchen but it's actually damaged.
I don't know if I bought it that way or if I brought it home and it's bunched up and it got damaged so I knew I was going to have to make it yourself or use it for something else because it wouldn't even stand up so I love these little animals in 3D here, they have the chicken and the little pig and I thought it would be perfect and very adorable in a farm kitchen, so I will try to use my little scraper and try to peel them, they broke but I didn't care because I will be able to go back to stick them.
I like to use large jars just to put some of my utensils in, so that's where my head was at when making this project. I wanted to make a simple and very inexpensive utensil holder and thought of this little wooden circle. It would be the perfect ornament, it wouldn't have to be a fancy utensil holder if you could decorate it in a really cute way and I knew the cow would be too big to hang from the utensil holder so I used the chicken and the pig and thought I could just glue them one on top of the other.
The first thing I wanted to do was start with a nice clean white base, so I painted a few coats of this white chalk paint over everything. the spring flowers where I had to separate them from the sign and cut them from the cow. I ended up having to cut out her little feet and then color everything black after I glued them all together. I wanted to kind of outline how I wanted to write like it was a farm because I don't trust my handwriting enough to do that. I was going to make one of these fine tip markers, but it just wasn't working out right.
Don't know. if it had just been ruined or if it was in paint or what was going on but I decided to use one of my fine tip paint markers so I couldn't trace the pencil perfectly because it has a wider tip so I just kept going and still he showed me where to put it so I didn't go over the edge and then I put this little seam around the edges with this paint marker and I think that made the perfect adorable little tag. and then like I said, I didn't have anything fancy for the utensil jar.
If you had a larger crock or some type of pot you wanted to use, you could wrap this in there too, but just to show you how I do it. I'm using this, I have one of these wide mouth jars and I had just bought it in a big pack from Walmart so I have a bunch of these on hand and I wasexcited to be able to use them. She wanted to paint it in a more neutral tone. warmer color since the label is black and white. I didn't want to paint the jar white and I have so much gray in my house and my walls are gray that it's fun to add that little pop of a color.
I hated having done it. It won't fit perfectly into the jar, it's something I'll go back and do around the top a little better later, but for now I'm just circling my juda. Pass this tag on and I'll double knot the back and it was So simple to put together to dress it up a little more. I'm adding another one of those black and white plaid bows to this. I just think it looks like that. cute right there on top and it makes it look a little bit prettier and put together, but that's how cute it is.
This is a super large label, so it would be even prettier I think in a larger jar, but I love how it looks. right now and this will be perfect to put it next to the stove and add some wooden spoons, spatulas and whisks just to give it a cute low farmhouse and then move on to the next project. I couldn't let that little sign go to waste. I had that beautiful farmers market written at the top and I was planning on using the extra cow, but I couldn't use it today, but it's something I'll throw into my craft stash and use in a later project to make that farmers market in a sign.
I wanted it to be framed, so you've seen me do this before several times on my channel. I'm using the reverse canvas method, so I'm cutting the canvas off the back with a knife and then I'm going to go ahead and take it out with a pair of pliers because you can see these excess curvatures from the front and you're left with this beautiful little frame Perfect size to frame that farmers market and I think it's just cute. enough to be a sign in itself. I love tiered trays and have small shelves in my kitchen so this is a perfect way to have a cute little sign just using some leftover items I already had since it's made of that super thin material.
Ewood MDF cardboard or whatever we call it and I was just able to grab a pair of scissors, it's a little harder to cut but I was able to determine how big I needed it and then cut it to the right size and They just hot glued it directly to the back and before I hot glued it on, although I forgot, I added a little bit of paint, added a little bit of white and then went over it a little bit later with some mineral color and just blend it in with the faux wood so you can't see that piece ugly one that the chicken was stuck on because I wanted to stain the sign or frame and didn't want to mess with a stinky stain just to stay. in a small frame or even a lot of times I thinned paint and I was in the mood to make this super quick, so I remember it from my video of trying out the dollar

tree

in craft supplies, if you haven't seen it on its own.
I went down below but I bought these markers and they are supposed to like to fill in little scratches but they are really pretty and pigmented so every time you start coloring like they really lose a lot of color so I was so excited. I was able to color the entire frame with that marker and it did a really good job so I like it as I hot glued it directly to the front of this sign and it put together the little flagella sign that I can keep and use on my shelves . or my teardrop tray and just a lovely addition to use up, like I say, all my leftover craft supplies.
