wood

en box trays and I'm going to use a plastic hanger that's black so I'm going to spread out my cutting mat and grab my hanger and we're going to start cutting this because these are going to be the supports for our shelf, so I'm going to line it up nice and even with my tray that I'm grabbing. my chalk marker just to make two marks at the height of the bottom of the tray holder, we just want to make sure that I'm

using

my mat as a guide and this helps make sure that the bottom is even so then I cut this out that just I'm using a pair of wire cutters and you want to make sure you cut it as evenly as possible, so now that you've cut the first side, you just want to flip the hanger over, place the other one on top of it, and draw those lines directly onto the second one so that both pieces are exactly the same. same size and then once those lines are there, go ahead and take your wire cutters and cut those as well and now you'll do the last minute trimming and smoothing that you need now.

For these little hooks, go ahead and cut them out with your wire cutters and if you can't get them flush, if you have a smaller pair or a pair or some sandpaper, you can sand them down to make sure they're nice and even. We have our two side supports, so now I'm just going to clean up the edges and set them to the side, so now we're going to work on our boxes. These boxes come with the holes cut out and I wanted to cover them. So I'm using some of these craft sticks that I bought at Lowe's.

Now you can use some scraps to cover the holes, but I thought it would be better to use a whole stick and cut it to the right size, so I'm just going to place it. across the box and I want to trace the outline of the opening now, once it's traced onto the stick, I'm going to cut it just outside the line and I'm going to measure and cut again to make sure it fits perfectly inside that. edge now, once it fits how you like it, go ahead and cut four pieces to cover the four holes and then make sure they all fit perfectly into place now to adhere them.

I'm just using a little bit of my hot wood glue and I'm just going to put a stick on that hot glue and secure it over the hole. Flip it over to make sure the hole is completely covered and now you want to repeat this for the remaining three holes of your boxes and now all four. of my holes in my boxes are nice and covered now go ahead and remove the stickers because we are getting ready to prepare these boxes for dyeing so of course I'm going to use my mimwax Jacobian dye to dye other boxes so I just go I take my rag and I want to apply that stain all over the inside and outside of my boxes and here is the stain all over the box, completely covered and you notice that you can see the glue where the box was made, but that's okay.
We'll have things inside and now that both boxes are stained you want to leave them outside to dry completely so now that our boxes are dry we can start putting together our shelf so of course I'm going to use my wood binder. Hear me Sherbonder wood glue and also my bracket so I'm going to put my brackets on the side of the box and then I'm going to apply that adhesive sure I would hot glue along the back edge of the box first and then I want to put the straight edge of that hanger in place and press it down now once it's adhered you want to apply the front edge and just apply that glue at an angle and apply that piece in place now you can wipe off any excess glue and clip it in your place to make sure it's nice and safe, so now what we're going to do is add our second box on top.
Now I will use my grid mat to help me with alignment and I decided to offset the placement. from the top box about an inch behind the first box because it

looks

like a stepped shell from the front and I really love that look and I just marked it with my chalk marker so I know where to put the glue and I'm applying a generous amount of hot glue for wood Sherbonder and place it in place, making sure we have that inch offset and lined up with our two marks and then go ahead and hold it in place now, once the glue dries, you can go ahead and flip it over. all the assembly and then we can assemble and place on our second support.
Now again we want to apply that hot glue the same way we made our marks and we're going to apply that hot glue to the bottom and we're also going to apply it around the top and we're going to adhere both trays at the same time. Now after it dries, you are ready to

decor

ate your shelf. Now this is really safe and I only plan to put light trinkets on it, so there is no need. for nails or staples but it's ready to go here is my tiered shelf is on display and I love it now I added some of my favorite items from the Dollar Tree and they fit perfectly now I love that each shelf is a perfect size and you can customize it to your taste and as always dollar tree wood is always stained so alright you guys have to tell me what kind of decor you would display on these shelves so we're going to need four of these. mini dollar tree wooden boxes and we are going to need two of the 7 16 inch or larger wooden dowels from Walmart and they cost 97 cents each.
Now we're going to start by cutting our dowels to the proper size and we're going to cut four one inch pieces, we're going to cut four three inch pieces, we're going to cut four five inch pieces and then we're going to cut four seven inch pieces, so now that everything is cut and done, let's go ahead and dye. our pieces and of course I'm going to use my Jacobian stain again, so what you want to do is go ahead and apply a good coat of that stain to the inside and outside of all of your boxes.
Now you do want to be careful and make sure you get in between all those little cracks and the sides too. Now you'll see where the manufacturer's glue didn't remove the stain, but that's okay, that won't show up on our final project and now that all of our boxes. They are nice and dyed, we can work on the studs and I'm going to apply the dye to the outside of the studs making sure there are no stains on each of the raw ends and now our dyes are dry and ready to go we can continue go ahead and put our brackets together, so I'm going to take one of the boxes and turn it upside down with the back facing you and start on those 1 inch dowels now.
I'm going to attach them to the back using my Sherbonder wood hot glue stick, so just take one of the dowels and I want to put one dowel in each corner or the back of the box and that's about a quarter of an inch away. from the edge. just apply a generous amount of that safe binder hot glue to the dowel and press it firmly into place and you want to place one on each corner and here are all of our dowels and you'll see that they now make the perfect little legs for the second one. box, we're going to move on to the three inch dowels and we're going to repeat the same process by applying that glue there and then putting them in place and now for our last two boxes, just apply the remaining two sizes and here are the two most boxes tall now this glue is pretty strong and if you wanted you could add some wood screws from the inside to the dowels if you want, I think my glue will serve the purpose I need it to so I won't be doing that on my project so here are our four boxes and now we can decorate them and now that everything is ready we can decorate them and put them on a display.
How cute are these little boxes now that we have accessorized our boxes with just a few accessories and I really love this look. I think this multi-height design is very visually appealing and makes your accessories really stand out now of course stained wood is always so beautiful you guys have to tell me how. Could you decorate these boxes in your space now? For this project we will need two of these wooden dollar tree puzzles. We will also need two wooden dollar tree boxes and we will also need some of these dollar tree ground headbands. dollar tree now the first thing we want to do is take our puzzles and we're going to remove all of those pieces and then we're going to take our wood glue and we're going to apply it to the open spaces and then I'm going to put those pieces back in place.
Now, once all of those pieces are secured, we're going to adhere a piece of craft paper on top, so we're going to place the puzzle face down on the craft paper. It will give the back of the project a much cleaner look and make it more presentable for selling or giving away. Now to adhere it, we'll just use hot glue now, once both puzzles are adhered to the paper. I'm going to trim off the excess and I'm going to use an x-acto knife to do it. Don't forget to get those corners rounded and now they have a nice clean look, so next we're going to remove that maker.
Stamp the wood with a piece of sandpaper and now we're ready to stain, so go ahead, protect your work surface and gather your puzzles and boxes. Now I'm going to use this mimwax Jacobian dye and let's go. To go ahead and grab our gloves and a rag we also want to make sure that our dye has been mixed in and then we'll start applying it to the back of the puzzle. Now we generally want to apply this across the grain and we want to remember to also get those side edges and here are both puzzles left, so now we're going to go ahead and move on to the boxes.
Now you really want to make sure the stain gets into those folds. Well, everything is completely dry here, so now we are going to adhere the boxes to the wooden puzzles. Now we want to line them up so that they are about a half inch from the bottom but centered in the middle of the puzzle once they are there. Now you're in place, you're just going to lightly mark the location with a pencil and then we're going to apply some wood glue to the boxes and then we're going to carefully turn them over and apply them to the puzzle where you marked. and once they are in place, simply place a heavy object in the box to help them dry.
Next we're going to go ahead and grab our princess headbands and then we're going to go ahead and remove the staples that are holding the crown part on. into place and then we're going to go ahead and just straighten it out manually and then set them aside so now that we've let our boxes dry we can start adding some embellishments to the puzzle piece. Now my original choice for the ribbon was This Burlap with the Frayed Edge, so I went ahead and applied it to the top of the board and adhered it in place, but it seemed to blend in too much with the stain color, so I decided to use a lighter color burlap than I had on hand, so I cut a few strips of this and then went ahead and frayed the edges by removing a few strings from each side, then went ahead and trimmed it into place and hot glued it onto the back now that the hot glue is dry.
I removed those clips, so now I want to apply that headband piece to the center of that burlap. I'm just going to lay it around and then fold those corners around the edge and once we mark that curve, we're going to remove it and we're going to add a little bit of hot glue and then we're just going to press it into place and then I'm going to turn it around, add some dots of hot glue and I'm going to add some clips and then I'm going to repeat this for the other one as well, now as an accent I'm going to add a ribbon to the center and this is super simple, I'm just going to take some ribbon and I'm going to make a loop and then I'm going to wrap it up and take it out and once you cut the tails you have two nice ribbons now to apply them we're just going to put a dot of hot glue in the center and press it into place now this is an option but I'm going to add some of these Half-inch nails through the back of the puzzle into the corners of the box.
This will make the box more resistant andcan now hold heavier items, as these nails are a little too long. I'm going to hammer them in leaving the nail head still sticking out slightly, then go back in and break off the nail heads with the pliers. Now to hang them, I'm going to use jute twine, so I'm going to take my drill and I'm going to drill a hole in the top corner of each puzzle and then I'm going to take this thick juice twine and I'm going to cut out a piece leaving a little bit of extra slack to get this through me.
I like to put a little hot glue on the end and then twist it between my fingers and that makes it go through a lot easier now that both ropes are attached and the ropes are even, we can go ahead and we can tie knots in the ends and then we can Go ahead and cut those lines. Now all you have to do is add the greenery and flowers of your choice and here is the complete project on display. Just hang them and you can admire your finished product. I love everyone. The unique details and textures of this project give it a lot of character.
I just added these dollar tree flowers, but you can put in any type of flowers or greenery you want and I love how well this wood took the stain and turned out beautiful. Let me know in the comments what you would use in the box. and how would you display it in your

home

for this project we will need two solid wood dollar tree boxes. We will also need five wooden bead blocks or dollar tree marbles. Now the first thing we're going to do is we're going to stain our boxes, so I'm going to protect my work surface and gather my supplies.
Now I will use this minwax Jacobian stain for this project. Of course, we always want to make sure the dye has been shaken well before we begin. And now what I'm doing is I'm taking my rag and applying that stain to the wooden box. I want to make sure it fits into all those little folds. Now I'm just going to apply. a layer of this stain all over the box and I want to do the inside out and the bottom and then I'm going to repeat this for the second box so now we're just going to take those beads and I'm going to stain those as well and once everything is stained I'm going to let them dry now, once they're dry we can take our boxes and we're going to put them together now I'm going to use this dollar wood glue. tree and I'm adding it to one end of each box and then I'm just going to press the two boxes together and you can use some clips to hold them together now for a little extra security.
I'm going to apply a few staples to the inside of the box, making sure they're nice and secure, so after we staple those, you can go ahead and remove those clips and we can start adding our beads, so let's turn it over to the bottom and I'm going to put one bead in each corner and one in the middle, so I'm going to apply a dot of that wood glue in each of those places and then I'm going to apply a bead and once that's dry, you can design your planter and here . It's the finished project now I added a variety of succulents and I love the way it turned out now the wooden boxes at Dollar Tree are very good quality and stain very well.
I love how this look came together and

looks

so

high

end. and that natural wood grain looks great on this piece and I think it turned out great whether you use plants or storage, there are so many uses for this cute little planter, beat the dollar tree wood trays and we will also need two of are. hooks for large dollar tree plants now the first thing we're going to do is cover up those side holes of our trays and I'm just going to use some leftover craft sticks for this, so I'm going to place them crosswise. the opening of the tray I'm going to mark some cut lines and then cut it with some scissors now once that stick fits snugly inside and covers that hole what we're going to do is take our hot glue gun and apply some hot glue on each side.
I'm using my safe binder wood sticks for this now, but you should be able to use any hot glue stick you want now, once the hole is covered we'll just repeat this process until all sides are done. The holes in all the trays are covered, so now that they are ready, let's dye them now, of course, I'm going to use my wax Jacobian dye. Now all you want to do is take your rag and I want to stain the inside and outside of all of your trays now if you remember I made a two tier tray in a previous DIY, but I'm really excited to put my creative touch on this tray. three levels for all of you. today once one tray is stained you will want to repeat this with the other two trays until all trays are stained and let them sit for two to three hours to dry so now all of our trays are dry and we can start to assemble our shelf.
Go ahead and grab those hooks and remove all those labels. Now we're going to start by placing the grid mat to line it up. I think this is an important step to make sure everything is right and I'm still going to design. my hook is nice and even and then I want to tape it into place and then I'm going to place each of my trays along the hook making sure they're all evenly spaced once they're evenly spaced. I'm going to use a combination of e6000 and hot glue to adhere them to the hook so I'm going to start by adding e6000 to the hook first and then applying dots of that hot glue along the area where the tray will be adhered and then press it firmly into place now to the middle shelf.
I'm going to do the same thing, apply a little bit of e6000 and make sure you add your hot glue right on top and then once you press that tray into place, you're going to want to repeat. that for the last shelf right at the top make sure you add your e6000 and hot glue and make sure it's secure so once those are all initially in place we're going to add our second hook right at the top now that's The middle shelf may not be super stable since there is only one bar securing it to the shelf, so I'm just putting one of my sticks under one side to make sure it stays nice and even now I'm going to go in with my chalk marker and I'm marking where I'm going to apply the glue for this final piece on the side now once you're marked go ahead and flip it over and you want to add your e6000 between the marks on the opposite side that you marked just to make sure you know exactly where to put it on your shelf and once those three areas have the e6000 there you'll need to go over them with a few dots of that hot glue on each section and then you'll need to quickly put it in place making sure it's nice and even and then press it firmly now just I'm using one of my tools here to get any kind of glue oozing out of the seam now, once everything is in place I'm just putting a piece of scrap wood right on top and adding a little weight to make it sit nice and secure and I let it sit overnight so the next morning I picked up my rack and everything seems secure now.
If you have any white residue left from the glue there is an

easy

remedy for that and what I did was I actually painted it with some black acrylic paint and it actually looks like solder so it blended in really well with the final project and you will see it in the final display and here is my shelf, all decorated and on display. I really love how this. now it turned out one. I'm so glad you all requested the three tier shelf because the use of those pot hooks really makes it look

high

end and as always the wood trays are the star of the show with that beautiful stain you guys gotta leave.
I know what you think about this version of the shelf. Now we're going to need some of these tower blocks that fall into the dollar tree and two of these dollar tree boxes. Now we're going to start this project by working on the By rotating tower blocks, we're also going to use a carpenter's square or a ruler to make sure everything lines up nicely and even now the first set of blocks that we're going to put together are three and we're going to make 12 sets. Of these three blocks, I will join them together with my hot wood glue.
Now I'll just sew them all the way to the end making sure to clean up any glue that oozes out of the seam as I go. Here is the first one. block set of three sets and we are going to repeat this until we have a total of 12. now once we have finished those 12, we are going to work on our second set and we are going to take two sets of blocks and what are we going to do? do is make a total of four of those, so we'll adhere them end to end just like we did with our three sets of blocks and just make sure to clean up all that hot glue oozing out of that seam as well and now we have our four sets of two blocks, so now that our sets are finished we can start putting our frames together, so I'm going to take two of the three black sets and I'm going to join them together into the letter l as shown here, just making sure to add a little bit of hot glue and adhere it to the corner then turn it over and add another three blocks in that corner with that hot glue now once everything is attached and we have that U shape just close it with one more set of three blocks adding a little bit of hot glue on each open end and taking that last set and joining it in place and now we have a complete frame so now you just want to take four more. of those three sets of three blocks and you want to make a fuller picture now for the second set it's going to be a smaller set so go ahead and add two of those three black sets and we're going to sandwich two of the two sets of blocks in between those and we're going to put them together the same way we did it the first time and here's one of those frames, just repeating it for a second for another smaller pair, so now that everything is solid and together, let's paint these frames now to paint them I'm going to use black acrylic paint and I'm just going to start applying this to the inside of the frame.
Now it was easy for me to start with the inside first and then do it. the outside of the frame now, once the inside and outside are completely finished, you can go ahead and paint the surface of the frame. Now for this project I'm going to paint all the surfaces and then once the first surface dries I'm going to turn it over and We're also going to paint the back of these because they're going to show so go ahead and apply a coat of paint on the back as well and then we can set them aside to dry completely, so while they're drying, what we're going to do.
What we do is we're going to start working on those two wooden boxes now to stain them. I'm going to use my vintage Waverly wax now to apply the wax. I'm just taking a small cloth or rag and I'm going to start applying the wax to the surface of the box, just making sure to work it into the grain and into the folds of the box. Now here is one side with everything stained and we will continue staining the entire outside of the box. box as shown here now once the outside is all done go ahead and repeat it for the inside as well and now we're going to work on our second box while we dye the second box, if you're having trouble getting into the folds just continue.
Go ahead and take a brush with stiff bristles and you can get right into those creases and then rub the rest of the old wax all over the surface. Now here are our two boxes, all completely dyed and you want to let them dry completely. now all of our pieces are dry and we can start assembling our pots so we're going to take the largest frame first and I'm going to choose the

best

side for it to be on the outside, now I'm going to line up These are on top with that first line at the top of the box .
Now I'm going to take my pencil and make a line where the bottom of the box touches the frame so I know where to apply my hot glue, so again taking my wood. I hot glue, I'm just going to apply a generous layer along the inside part of the frame that will touch the box, using those lines as a guide and then placing it on the box, you want to make sure it's nice and centered. and line it up with that top line and then go ahead and flip it over and you want to adhere that second one the same way by applying your hot glue and lining it up with the top line.
Now this time lift your box while securing it. place because you want to make sure it doesn't wobble and here are the frame legs on my box. Now I went ahead and took a leftover craft stick that I had and I also added some antique wax to it and I had this leftover from a In the previous project I wanted to cover those side holes of the box so I cut a craft stick in half, I added that old wax and then I'm going to glue some covers over those box holes and I think this just enhances the look. just a little bit now we're going to repeat the same process for our second box in the same way and here are our two boxes with those legs applied.
I think they turned out amazing and now you can decorate and here are my two planters. boxes on display and I really think they turned out great now that I added a bunch of eucalyptus fromWalmart like my greenery and I think they fit this design perfectly and I really love the combination of black and wood grain. of these and I think they look really high-end now, although I love this combination. The

best

thing about DIY is that you can make them any color you want and of course you can also add anything you want to the boxes.
They don't have to be plants just let me know what you think of this project in the comments below now for this project we will need three of these wooden dollar tree trays now we will also need one of these dollar tree rolling pins or you could probably use a plunger handle now the first thing we want to do is remove the roller from the package and we want to measure the length of that pin now, once we have that measurement, we're going to go ahead and mark the center and we want to cut this in half now, after cutting in half with my saw, I want to lightly sand those edges, so now we want to go ahead and put our trays and our rolling pin together and we want to start assembling. our shelf so for the bottom tray I want to take it and I want to mark the center with a pencil and we can check that measurement with a tape measure and then I'm going to apply a little bit of wood glue to the center of the tray and I'm going to take the bottom end little bit of that roller and I'm going to press it in the center of the tray into the glue, then I'm going to turn the tray over and what we're going to do is use these three quarter inch wire nails and we want to Take one and we're going to nail it. along the bottom on that roller.
This will provide more stability to the tray and then we'll just take a paper towel and wipe away any glue that may have come off of that. seam and now we're going to take the next tray and this is the center tray, we're going to turn it over and we're going to go ahead and mark the center and we want to take another one of those nails and tap it through the bottom about a quarter of an inch to the side from that center mark and now you see that the nail is sticking out of the inside of the tray, so I'm going to apply a little bit of wood glue to the top of that pin that's attached to the first tray and then center and glue that tray to the half right on top and now you can go ahead and take another nail and you can nail it right next to the nail that's sticking out making sure you don't hit the other nail when you put that one in and now that second tray is secure so now we're going to take that third tray and the other half of that pin and I'm going to glue that pin to the bottom of the top tray and once they're glued you can go ahead and stick them through the top center and now all that's left to do is take the part Assembled top you want to go ahead and add a little bit of wood glue around the protruding nail.
That's on that second layer, you want to mark the center of the pen and line them up, place it on top and then hammer the entire unit across the top and you want to push that pin down on top of that nail and secure the entire tray. Together now we're going to set this aside to dry for a couple of hours and then once we're dry we can go ahead and dye. Now I'm going to protect my surface and I'm going to grab this. light stain, so I chose this honey oatmeal honey ace oak color and then we want to apply a light coat of that all over the tray.
You want to make sure you cover all the corners and folds of the trays. Here is the tray completely dyed. just sit this aside to dry and here it is all dry and now that it's dry I'm going to add some natural wood beads. Now I will use these beads that I bought on Amazon. Now I'm just going to go ahead and place them in the bowl to keep them from rolling all over the table and then I'm going to apply them to my tray and use wood glue to apply them around the base of the center post. the middle and bottom tiers and this is what the row around the middle should look like when it's done and then repeat this for the bottom and let it dry and then you're done.
I have chosen to add a variety of greenery and succulents in the tray and I really love how it looks now these dollar tree succulents look really great this year and I was very lucky to find a good variety for this project. Now I also included some leafy greens to attach to the sight and you could even place battery operated tea lights or a small decoration on the shelves also for this project we will need two of these wooden dollar tree boxes we need one of these square dollar tree drawers 23 of these black bottles from the Halloween section in the dollar tree and a package of this greenery from the dollar tree.
Now we are going to start by taking the two boxes and removing all the labels. Now we'll glue them together lengthwise, so just do a quick check. To make sure the boxes are at the same height I will now use this dollar tree wood glue to join them together and once the wood glue is applied you just want to place one box on top of the other and press them firmly together. Now, just to be a little more secure, I'm going to apply some staples inside the boxes, so go ahead and hold them in place and then you can apply the staples.
Now, once that has had a chance to dry, we can go ahead and dye our piece, so I'm going to gather my supplies from a previous project. Now we will stain the boxes and the drawer part of that block of wood and you can use antique staining wax or diluted acrylic paint. It's up to you, but I'll do it. I'm going to be using my favorite Jacobian stain from minwax and I'm going to start applying the stain to the outside and the inside of that block and then we can move on to staining our boxes and you want to make sure that you apply that stain to those folds and also to the inside of the boxes and once they are stained you should set them aside to dry so while they are drying we are going to go ahead and grab our bottles and we want to remove all the labels now we also want to also remove those corks from the bottles so now we will What we're going to do is add some juice wine around the top of the bottles.
Now we just want to apply some hot glue to secure it on top. At first, wrap it four or five times and secure it with hot glue at the end and then repeat this process for the remaining bottles. Now that we're done, we can add some greenery to the bottles. Now I cut these stems. from a package I bought at the dollar tree, all I want to do is adjust the leaves and the length and I'm going to place one of the stems in each of the bottles now, once everything is arranged to your liking we will be we're just going to sit them to the side now we're going to take those pieces of wood that we stained now to make the stand we're going to apply that smaller box to the top of the larger boxes and I'm going to place it cut facing back now since I want this to be easily removable to use the box and turn it over as a container.
I'm just going to secure the boxes to the smaller box with a few hot glue dots, but I'll add more if you want a more permanent connection and then all you have to do is add your bottles and your greenery and here are the bottles on display now . I really love this clean and simplistic look. Now these black bottles are great quality and look great with the beautiful leaves now I think this Olympic style stand was perfect for displaying these bottles and I think this wood grain on the boxes is absolutely beautiful on this piece now when you add this to your decor, your guests will never know that this was all from the dollar tree I need four wooden dollar tree boxes we will need five of these dollar tree blocks for the bottom and you can also use some of these wooden cubes if you have them on hand and we're going to need four Bundles of Dollar Tree Onion Grass so the first thing we're going to do is grab all of our boxes and I'm going to dye them with my minwax Jacobian dye now once all your pieces have a single dye layer.
Where are your blocks? We are going to let them sit so that they dry completely. Now you don't have to stain the inside, but I did that too, so now that they're all dry, let's put them together and stack them. at the top in a set of four, so we'll start with the bottom two pieces that match up pretty evenly again. I'm going to use my hot glue stick on wood, with a secure folder, I'm going to apply a little bit of hot glue to the side of one of the boxes and we press them firmly to make sure they fit well and even now, to back up a little bit, I'm applying a couple of staples on the inside to hold them together now, once the bottom assembly is all attached, We're going to take our top two pieces and I'm going to add them one at a time, so I'm just going to outline the top of one of the boxes with that hot wood glue stick right on the edge and I'll place one of the boxes on top making sure it's nice and even make sure to clean up any glue that's oozing out of the seam as well, so once the first box is in place, add the second box right next to it and just sit there to make sure it's right. nice and lined up along the edges and I'm going to clean up that hot glue now again I'm going to go in with my staple gun and make sure they're secure as well now for the bottom we're going to add the feet so I'm going to take one of the vase blocks and add one in each corner and one in the center for support, simply add hot glue along that edge and line it up with the four corners as shown here and one in the center and now your planter has four pretty feet on the bottom now this is completely optional but I wanted to drill holes where my onion herb will fit into my boxes.
Now you can certainly add some floral foam on these and glue it there, but I didn't want to cut the stems of my Onion Herb. I really wanted to keep them long for other projects, so I'm using a drill to make a hole for each of my pieces of onion grass so they are easily interchangeable with other pieces and can be removed, so once they are all drilled, I am going to glue one of my onion grass stems into each of those drilled holes. This will keep it nice and straight and I love how they fit in there.
Now I wanted to add rocks to my project, but I didn't want to. adds a bunch of them, so I'm going to fill the bottom with some white paper towels. You can use tissues, newspapers, whatever you have on hand, so once that's done, I'm going to take some of these rocks that I got from the dollar tree and I'm going to fill in that top layer of space around my onion grass and that's it. what it will look like and now all you have to do is choose a place to display this cute pot in your

home

I think.
Onion grass really gives my projects that high end modern look and I love using them especially combined with wood and stones and of course these boxes and these blocks also make the perfect planter and completely tie the look together now we go to need. two of these dollar tree boxes and a dollar tree nautical rudder steering wheel, so I'm going to start by placing it on my slatted mat and continue cutting the labels off my nautical steering wheel. Now what we want to do is cut this down the center in half and that center point is going to be where your tag is going to hang, so I'm going to take my ruler and I'm going to line it up down the center and with my ruler. and then I'll take my pencil and draw a line so I know where the center is.
Sometimes the entire punch on this piece isn't exactly centered, but that's okay, it won't show in the final project. If it's a little bit off, then I'll take my exact knife here and just score it two or three times until I get a nice deep cut and then if you bend it, it should break evenly now once it's done. We're going to cut out all these little handles on the sides and this should be easy to cut with a sharp pair of scissors or you can use your x-acto knife for them as well. Now you are going to repeat this for your second piece until they are both done now if you have some uneven edges just take a piece of sandpaper and then sand them until the edges are nice and rounded and now you have your two side pieces and your boxes, now I'm going I'll be dyeing my pieces and of course I'm going to use my memwax Jacobian dye, you just want to go ahead and start dyeing all the pieces and I'm starting with the wheel and I'm just going to dye both of them. sides, you want to make sure you go around those edges as well because they will show up on your final project now, once you've finished the first one, go ahead and repeat this for the second wheel until they're both completely covered, so now you want to continue. go ahead and dye those boxes too, remove all those labels and dye all the inside and outside of the boxes and here is one of the boxes ready and repeat this until the second box is also done now once everything is dyed, sit Those out for a couple of hours to dry completely, so now that they're dry we have all of our pieces ready and we can put together our tiered tray, so now what we're going to dodo is take one of those. halves of those wheels and we're going to take one of our boxes.
Now you want to put the uglier side on the back, which is where the manufacturer's glue shows and you want to line up the cut edge of the wheel with the back. of the box now to give you a better view, I'll turn it over and you'll see that the cut edge will be aligned along the back and the top of the wheel will be aligned along the top of the box. now once you've placed it you want to apply a generous amount of hot glue and I'm using a hot wood glue stick with a safe adhesive.
You just want to press it firmly into place until it's secure, making sure the top edge and the back edge are nice and aligned, so now you're going to take that second box and we're going to do the same thing, we're going to line it up at the bottom . Now I'm going to use my dollar tree carpenter's square to make sure that the bottom edge is nice and even with the bottom edge of that wheel, so I'm going to offset my boxes by placing the bottom box slightly ahead of the top box and then I'm going to draw a little outline of the corner of that box, so I'm going to put glue on that little corner of the box that overlaps the wheel.
I want to place that corner right on the wheel and when you place it, make sure the bottom edge is aligned with the bottom. of that ruler just to make sure that everything is nice and level now, once that edge is nice and secure, we can take our other wheel and we're going to put it on top of our boxes, we're just going to make sure that our The alignment is nice and the same as we did on the bottom and I'm going to draw a line where the wheel will sit on the side so we know where to apply our glue, then go ahead and apply a generous amount of that. hot glue those areas where the wheel will overlap the top and then the bottom of the bottom case and then put that wheel in place and then make sure to press it firmly and make sure those edges are nice and aligned now once the glue has a chance to set, you can test it, make sure everything is even and remove any of the hot glue webs, any of the hot glues that are oozing out of the seams as well, so once it dries, you can decorate however you want now.
I chose some wildflowers that I got from the dollar tree. I thought they were so cute and adorable and you can choose any type of flowers you want, but I put one in each box and oh my gosh, I think it turned out really great. Here is my tiered shelf with wagon wheels on display. Now I think it's so adorable now that I have it. I've wanted to make a piece like this for so long and you can imagine my excitement when I saw the nautical wheels go into the dollar tree. They worked perfectly on this project.
Now you can dye or paint them however you like and outfit them with your favorite bouquets of your choice, everyone should let me know what you think about this project in the comments below listen, I hope you all enjoyed seeing these creations again or for some of you For the first time, I hope you all get inspired to create your own great home decoration using the wooden boxes and trays as well.
