May 30, 2021
welcome back to unicorn desk designs my name is sammy and on this channel we diy signs and there are always tons of laughs so if you're in for that keep watching ok guys we've got our jingle

block

s, we are starting. video the right way okay these are the huge packets that just came back to my store they were available during the Christmas season I have them on a cake plate you can use whatever plate you want and then we'll use coffee so This idea occurred to me. by megan, from glue guns and roses, I have used it a couple of times, I love it, I also use it with my wooden beads, you can also use it as tea, I hope I made enough, I don't think I made enough coffee, but It's okay I can mix them together you want to make sure the coffee is hot and then I'll mix this right here get real fancy with my knife and the longer you leave it in the dark the darker it will be usually just leave them in for about five minutes or so for them to absorb all of that and they will stay the color they are now and I think this color is absolutely beautiful if you don't have a stain this is a great great way to color your jingle

block

s and then if it's sunny outside, If they dry that quickly, I'll actually do it so I can keep brewing.

I'm going to put mine in the oven. I've never done it before, so I'll let you know what I end up doing temperature-wise. and how long did I put them there for them to dry completely, but I hope you get the idea and let's get into these jingle bell block DIYs. Well, for the first one we are going to do four sets of three. Do your best with the numbers, I'll leave them in the description box for you, so I'm using Star Bond which is like a fast acting super glue essentially, it works wonders, it dries in seconds and I love it because There was I don't like the wait time in between so I took this idea from Megan of glue guns and roses a long time ago when I already made a set and I wanted to show you my opinion on it so obviously we are making coasters and I just Stamping this with my

dollar

tree

stencils, as you can see, we made the four sets of three and then we glued the squares in opposite directions and I mean, very easy guys, now I'm just drawing it.

This is white linen, you can do it. use your own ideas for stencil or paint color. I did it with the four of us here. Now I'm taking mod podge because of course there's going to be moisture on top of these so I just wanted to make sure I blocked out all that paint. inside and protected our wood, you are going to do that for the four of us. I love how they turned out. Now we're going to make our coaster box, so we're going to make a row. I think it's a row of 10 for the bottom of our coasters and for this project you will use 48 pieces in total, so now as you can see I'm stacking them.

I always do this before I start. As you can see on the left, I hang over the the edge just a little bit I'm going to start gluing these basically one is on its side one is lying down one is on its side one is lying down so this is going to be our pattern around our coaster box here for which You can see like on the right side how one sticks out of the color, one sticks out of the color, so I go ahead and there's going to be five on each side and then one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 in the front and then we'll do something a little different on the back, which I'll show you, so once I'm done gluing the front and the side that you'll see here on the back, I have to have two on its sides to make it fit, but already you know, just turn it back and then you'll be fine, so let's go ahead and glue our pieces on the back now that we know what fits in there, which is why it's so important.

First I have to play with the placement and you all know I have to raise my big head in the shot like always so now I'm just gluing these to these sides right here this was very easy and the

jenga

blocks

were rotating

tower

s that these DIYs were It's so relaxing to just sit here, watch some

dollar

tree

tours and just put them all together it was so much fun and you guys that's it you were so easy to make look how fancy the templates look. Amazing, they match a previous DIY I made that will probably go in my room too and I think it looks so sophisticated.
Let me know what you think about this one. Okay, that was my first rotating jingle block

tower

, you name it. call it diy now disclaimer i know i'm probably not the original creator of any of these

diys

. I know spinning towers and DIYs have been done before on other channels, but I've never done them on my channel and I definitely knew it was something I wanted to try, so maybe this is the first time someone has seen it, maybe do it a different way or explain it another way and if someone else originally created it and I know who did it then I'll be sure to provide it.
Mention them in my video and put the link in my description box so you can see it, so I hope you like these DIYs, I hope you like them and I hope you like the channel, and if you do. make sure to like make sure to subscribe leave a comment below because I love reading them and with that being said let's move on to the rest of these DIY's okay guys this one is beyond easy so essentially we're going to make ways to l. So at first I had to learn the hard way. I joined them one by one.
If you make several L shapes and then put the two L shapes together, it happens a lot faster, so let's make a ton of these. of these we're actually going to make uh you're going to need 60 for this one because we're going to make 16 squares on top of each other so you can see, I have a square and then a square diamond. keep stacking them and that's all there is to this DIY, you guys like I said are so easy but make such a statement. I use 16 squares for the tallest one and 12 squares for the smallest one, which I'll show you and as I can see I'm just stacking them and gluing them on top of each other.
I'm using this glass cylinder that I got from a clearance decorative piece that I bought at Dollar General and look how fancy, I don't know why, but these make me feel bougie, I don't know why, I just feel like they look high end and It looks like I would have paid a lot of money for them, but I didn't, so I love them, I hope you do, um. I like these

jenga

block DIYs too now for next one so I wanted to show you the completed L shape. We're going to be using these square boxes a lot, so as you can see, I started gluing L shapes and then gluing the L shapes.
Now with this star link, you guys need a minimal amount and I liked using it because the glue for Wood requires a little time to set. Hot glue creates a barrier where there's kind of a little gap when it starts to harden and then some. The super glues still take a while to dry so I thought this was really cool. Sorry I lost the footage, but all I did was glue two of the squares together and we're going to do it. I think there are 78 in total in this DIY, so I'm going to put them in a staggered place, God, I'm not good at explaining this, am I?
And then I decided I wanted to add more on top of this, so I made more squares. I'm just adding them on top. Basically, you will have five rows of three boxes or squares and you could add more if you want or less. I had no idea where this was going, but it ended up coming together. I can't wait to show you what I made. With this DIY, again now I'm taking two rattle

blocks

, we're just gluing them together and I'm going to make these for our legs, so I'm going to glue them on the outside corners of the top and bottom and then I'm going to glue a little bit on the That way it stays on the outside and then, if you want to put something on top, it won't sink or break, it will be supported by these little legs.
Once I saw this, I was like, oh my gosh, this could be so cute for a necklace stand if you place the legs right, this could also be like one of those shelves where you, you, pick up what I put down like There were so many different ways to do it. I could take the jingle block DIYs um and I love the clean look of them. I hope to hear that it looks like it's busy, but they seem clean to me anyway. Oh, Everett made it for me and said it was my craft room. It is very cute.
Okay, I'm going to go ahead and finish putting some in the middle outside and look at how cute it is, so I don't know what to call this a table, a tray, I don't know, but I totally imagine it in my bedroom on a table just set up exactly like that or even in a bathroom with the beautiful, I mean, I love it, let me know, are we ready for the next one? So you guys have seen this like you've done it a million times. but I wanted to try it for myself, so we'll do four sets of two and then I'll do two sets of two and then, oh God, can I stop saying and then I'm sorry, you're done, right?
I'm just kidding, so next we'll put two on the outside sides of these. Now make sure you try to get to the middle as best you can. Now I'm placing the jingling blocks and putting our X on top. I'm lifting it up and the reason I put it here is because I want to make sure it's even and not crooked because of course we're going to put a candle or a plant or something on it and you don't want it to wobble, so for the rest from the legs I lift it up and then attach them because the rattle blocks are crooked, not all of them are the same so I thought this would be a good way to ensure it's stable so one is Done now I'll show you a slightly different version oh I bought them at Dollar General okay so I'm going to show you another version of these Django blocks here or maybe not oh no I'm okay so let's make a square then we're going to make some kind of L shape, but as you can see, I'm stacking one jingling block on top of the other.
Do you see I hope you do? You'll see how they come together though, so I'm going to make four of those and I thought this one was really cool and this one could turn into something else, so as you can see I've got two on the side, now I'm gluing it, check this one out here , I only touch the sides. and I'm holding it up and now to add more security we're going to get that square that we made put it in a diamond shape and this is another little pot holder or you can hang it up and you can totally use it like I said as a necklace holder um you could hold it like drill it to something and could even be like a coat rack.
There are so many possibilities with these and I just had them, I mean I've seen them everywhere, I had to try them, uh, and I like them. They're cute, they're simple, and like I said, they're super clean guys, I just wanted to take a minute and let you know that I have a vlog channel called How to Create a Healthy Life. I share about my family. I have other good transports like at home and stuff like that, so check it out, okay, for this one let's go, I don't actually know what I'm doing right now, but we'll figure it out, okay, so let's do these sets in pairs. two and we're going to make a bigger square than last time so it's exactly like the baby square except we're going to make it a little bit thicker so I had no idea where I was going with this guys but it looks good , so we're going to do, you're going to need 88 pieces for this and as you can see, all I did was take those squares, I connected four for the bottom and then I'm going to connect two um for each side, so all I'm going to do is What to do is glue it to the outside of the bottom so that it's not on top of the bottom, let's go on the outside of the bottom, okay? you can see here we have those squares that we made 2 two four so two four six eight you need eight squares for the sides and then four squares for the bottom and that's it.
I just wanted to make a decorative box that I can put in. like in the bathroom to put some wipes some soap and stuff like that could also be used for trinkets or exactly how it's placed now on a side table or something but I thought it looked cool I love the way this The coffee stain shows on these jenga blocks, how it highlights all that beautiful grain. I hope you like it, like I said, they are so simple. Okay, for the next one, guys, it's 10 pieces glued together. This DIY was inspired by salsa equipment. 'Everyone needs to go look in my description box and follow that channel.
They don't even have a thousand subscribers and it's absurd, so please go see them. This came from their channel, so let's get the jingle blocks. and we're going to stagger them so that, as you can see, I attached one to the edge and left a little ledge there and, as you can see, we're starting so that the one in the middle is not attached to the base, but is held together by the two that are, so I hope you're getting what I'm saying. The gravy team explains this much better than I can, but we're going to keep rotating them back and forth. go ahead now when we get to the corners um that's why I staggered them so they run into each other nice and easy, I love all the dimension this piece has and you salsa team make like lamps out of jingle blocks, magazine racks.
I'm talking about a jewelry holder, and they look high-end.Well, for my legs, I'm going to put them next to each other so you can see, I have one and then I put two. I love the way it looks and the team sauces I just put one leg on and painted it black which I thought was cool but I decided to do it this way and I really like the way it turned out. So I made a short one and one bigger, because I loved the way they turned out and wanted two, so head over to their channel.
I'll put the link in my description box for you. Explains it way better than me guys, um, so that's it for this DIY. Guys, you will be surprised when you see how beautiful they are. Can I say awesome? Oh, do you see this huge dimension that just appears? It's a great conversation piece and will look stunning anywhere. Many thanks to the Gravy team for the inspiration. Okay, for this one we're going to grab a mirror from Dollar Tree. I removed the plastic, that was my preference. You can keep it completely. So I'm going to take some sisal rope, uh, this is from Home Depot and we're going to start gluing so that this mirror is attached to this cardboard.
When you remove the plastic, we are going to wrap the sisal rope. I'm pretty. "I'm sure they're good with hot glue, just make sure you place it towards the back of the mirror so you don't get a bunch of hot glue on the mirror. You're welcome for that beautiful face in the mirror like yours." You're welcome, no, okay, don't thank me in the comments, it's my pleasure, so we should keep going over this now. Always make sure that when you like your initial piece again, make sure you put a healthy amount. of hot glue in there and just push them together as hard as you can.
See how I hold it there for a while and then take it and start the next row so it almost looks seamless when I do it that way, so now cut. at an angle that way it looks nice and flush, see how well it goes? Now we're going to start with our jenga block, so first I'm going to play with the placement. I do it with everything, it's much better. than hot glueing it and messing it up later when you realize your piece doesn't fit, so I'm putting the hot glue on the back of the jingling block that way, that way we won't have hot glue spilling all over our rope because that wouldn't look elegant and I'm going to continue with this to the end.
Now I'm doing my second row and as you can see I'm putting hot glue on the back in the middle and putting a little bit. I don't want the hot glue to be in the middle of the two jingling blocks because it's going to be all the way through and that's not going to look pretty, so be careful and take your time, so I'm going to do two rows, three rows here and I'm going to keep giving turns, take your time, like I said, you can also do this with the plastic still there, the rope. I didn't like the colors together, so I decided to paint it white.
I thought it would go with the coasters we made. on the first DIY and I would just separate the rattle blocks from the rope a little better, that's just my opinion and then after looking at this I thought "This needs more so I added an extra row of hot glue and rattle blocks jenga, no, I don't know why it was just that for some reason it seemed empty, I don't know, no, I don't even know how it's possible because it's so busy, but it seemed empty to me, so I cleaned it up and I like it, right? what do you think?
I think it's very different and there are so many visually appealing things in this that I can't wait to put it on our wall and I did my best to take a photo Okay, so let's do the next one here I'm. trying to think about what this last one is okay, so for this one we're going to do, let me see, I wrote it in eight rows of two and seven rows of three. So I think that's like ten singles or something like that. together, so I'm going to put all of these together beforehand Sorry, I'm moving it quickly because it's very repetitive, so you're going to take two. row of two row of three row of two row of three row of two row of three and then I just put one on the ends.
Now I make sure to use my measuring mat to make sure I keep this nice. and even then not everything is crooked and they all go in different directions, so with the other individual jenga pieces I line them up using the jangle blocks as where the lines meet on the jenga blocks and hold them there Now this will become a stand for jewelry, but like I said, if you were to put studs on the back of them, this can also be like a jacket with a scarf holder, you know, whatever might be on there, like I said, there are so many options that you can put on. sawtooth hanger on the back of this um we're going to use command strips so I didn't do that but it's such a beautiful and simple piece and you guys these jenga blocks right now are coming back in these big packs in Dollar Tree for a dollar.
I think it took me a total of eight big ones to make each of these so I hope you enjoyed these jingle block DIYs, if you did please like, subscribe, I hope you enjoy the bloopers and be sure to review them. on my vlogging channel, creating a healthy life, we're trying a different position today, okay, okay, I'll probably still be crooked, how to use a jigsaw or something to cut, like unicorn dust designs and wood, you know , I think that makes me look. really fancy ok shut up at least let's put it in the middle maybe slide ok guys that was my first jingle blocks spinning tower diy now full disclaimer I know I didn't do it I mean , okay, wait, okay, I'm not actually collaborating with anyone. put the disclaimer and then I'll talk about a lot of things, okay, you know, a lot of time it says, let's do this, do what it expects.
