Alright, TJ, we're on street tires, so we'll do map one, we'll do a launch, see how bad it spins, I think the whole first year it's going to spin pretty bad, yeah, obviously it spins really bad at first, but I'll do it. we have done. I didn't set the boost per gear, so the first year I think it's like five pounds and then slowly add a little bit as we go, but on a drag radial you can change that setting and make it a lot more violent. I'm used to testing the car on drag radials, we had no problems, yes this is the first time I've tried this, I tried to turn. The boost was on Friday, yes, and it reduced the engine power on me, it's because the tire is spinning so much, yes, because the clutch gets scared, so the clutch doesn't know what to do if it spins so much it won't want to. lambos and it really brings me back to those days, the way the transmission shifts and the shape. the car feels with the engine in the rear idling nice and smooth like the lambos did, we didn't put big camshafts on them, you know, GM stuff, we always put big cams on almost all the cars we make for our big builds so it's different having a car just idling and driving so smoothly but then when you get in it it moves and it's so much fun okay let's start filming.
I'll try it second again, it might spin a little bit, so oh yeah, that felt great. It should have been pretty much what my map is too, it weighs 10 or 12 pounds. I'll stop and take a look, but you can tell that second gear accelerated much faster, as did third, and then fourth and fifth is where it starts to give it more oomph. uh second, I think second speed was probably still around eight and then third, fourth and fifth is where I think I'm at 10 or 12 on the second map, but I'm going to pull the log real quick and leave you.
The guys know this, so the last pull was map two, which is eight pounds over the door in first and second like in the lowest gears and then 12 over the door in third, fourth and fifth onwards, um , and it felt great. looked good yeah that was so 12 at the top of the gate it actually only produces like 10 and then this heat like nine and a half 10 pounds of real boost so let's go ahead and move on to the next setup , this configuration. It should be, I think, like 15 at the top of the gate and with this I won't be able to go second.
I know it's going to turn really bad, so we'll go from third gear and see how the map lets me confirm. three yeah I always put it in track mode it's just a habit and then I turn off the trash control twice and then I put it in race mode and then again the way we set it up we can put it in manual mode to change it and then once you step on the floor you don't have to press the up and down buttons it shifts on its own so I'm an idiot and went to turn on mat three.
We drove a considerable distance from the store and I. We did quite a bit of jerking on the highway to get here and we're running out of fuel in the front, so this thing obviously has a mid-brand computer with port injection, so we put methanol in the front that fuels our side port injection. Well, I'm running out of fuel, I'm not going to risk pulling the third setting on low fuel, so let's head back to the shop, now give the car a spin and, if I have time, before the transport arrives.
