things

I

hate

about my

rolls

-

royce

Cullinan, in addition to taking it for a drive first person return, so I've had this 2020 Rolls Royce Cullinan for about a month. I have put 1,500 miles on it and I am absolutely in love with the car, I honestly think it is the best SUV ever created for a multitude of reasons, that being said no car is perfect so here are five

things

I

hate

about the Rolls-Royce Cullinan to start with, so there's not much to complain about on the outside, obviously looks are subjective, but I quite like the way it looks.

You see it in photos and on video, it doesn't really do it justice, it looks like a giant white whale, something like a limousine but also a truck, it's a little confusing, but when you see it in person you see its scale compared to a normal human being in other cars is pretty impressive so let's move on we have convenient access this is the key so to lock the car click on the top triangle to unlock the car click on Rolls logo -Royce and to open the rear trunk you press and hold the square there, of course, there is Wi-Fi.

We'll go ahead and unlock the whole car. Its color matches the leather to match the Rolls-Royce, but we'll talk. More about the key in a moment, go ahead and put it in my pocket, we'll go ahead and open the doors. Of course, it has suicide doors that open like this to facilitate entry and exit for both occupants. It looks great, of course, we have an umbrella, go ahead and take it out in case it rains, in case you need to engage in some kind of lightsaber duel. I don't know what house that is, but the Sith Lord probably lives there, I mean.

That's what you think, I think it looks scary, okay, go ahead, put this back here, close the front door and open the back. This is where my first complaint is and it has to do with this armrest here, so I'll move on. and getting in the car has this nice way of holding on and getting on board the ship. I mean, it's literally like a boat, so when we're in the back of the car, go ahead and turn on the screen in the back, how? You close the door of the Rolls-Royce, it's too far away, well, in Culloden, you click the door button because of course, yes, why would you close your own doors?

The rules are lax so we have curtains here and there, go ahead and open the curtains to get a little more light and then I think they are manual only in the back, we'll go ahead and open them for additional lighting. Here is my number one complaint. The first thing I hate about the Kullen and this here, now, this. it's beautiful, the Adele wood comes in at a certain angle so it looks great, it's at one point, beautiful wood etc. etc. but hey it's supposed to stay and it doesn't click anymore, these cars are a month old and that. it doesn't work I don't know why I can't understand it this thing fell off that's always good in a 420 thousand dollar car to have that fall off but I'm a little disappointed with the car that suddenly you know, a month like this it doesn't work regardless of that we have a nice armrest made of leather, but you don't always need an armrest behind this is a champagne cooler, those champagne glasses here, in fact, because I'm not a big drinker, so the only time I had champagne and drank really it was in that Cullinan video that I got it in since then there hasn't been any call to this car and I pretty much didn't drink anything and used it once and so on.
I've only used this coin once, it's broken, that's a bit annoying anyway, it's moving along. Next up has to do with rear seat entertainment. It's really hot now so I don't think this will work because the car is off. We'll go ahead and start the car and then we'll go back to the back of the vehicle, so open it up. There's definitely something cool about pulling out all the Rolls-Royce Cullinans when the doors open like that, as you can see the USB chargers in the seats massaging themselves. really cool functionality custom audio system cool ambient light colors let's go ahead and start the car give it a little more air in the back turn this on Acey on cold perfect do you want soft medium high or maximum sir well none of those well of fact, one of them is definitely the right choice now, on the outside, you can close the door by clicking this lock button somehow and then BOOM, look at the force, I just closed it perfect, go ahead, go up inside and click the button on the door so we can We're back inside getting some bugs out of here.
Bugs everywhere in the back of the car. We have this beautiful entertainment console in the back seat. Anything from watching movies, playing video games, checking anything you want, surfing the internet, we're going to go. go ahead and fold it up so you can click this button here go ahead and fold the tray up now something that I've noticed that really bothers me is if the seat is too reclined this is number two guys second feature I hate if this seat is too reclined the seat doesn't fold down and by seat I mean the seat at all, the rear seat entertainment so it's in the right position you click the power button and it pops up automatically the tray and the screen, now this is the passenger's.
It's stylish, it's comfortable, there's still plenty of leg room, but unfortunately, because it's reclined too far, you can't open it, you hear it, the mechanism activates, but it doesn't work now, how do you solve that problem? We'll go ahead and open it up. Turn on this entertainment console now I'm the only one here in the car, obviously, unless you guys are here too and I didn't know, probably not, that was weird anyway, go ahead and click on the right seat now, like this side, you can control the front seat, so we're going to go ahead and tilt it forward and then once it's tilted forward, we can go ahead and open up the rear seat entertainment, but even that there's so many things that need to be done on the correct order of operations, it's kind of Annoying, I wish there was a manual operation for the rear screens where you could just pop them out like it never knew any screen.
Instead, you have to wait until the seats are in the correct position and right click and no. The left button and it's quite confusing. It took me a while to sit in the back with a friend or just use it to listen to music. There is no one in front. I don't have a driver. I don't want a driver. I like driving like that. car, it's actually great to drive, we're just chilling in the back listening to music and well its screen couldn't turn off and that was a bit annoying anyway, lovely soft Rolls Royce pillows on the seats.
Beautiful removal for the back lighting here now. I recently bought this car guys, so if there are any cool features that you've noticed that I haven't talked about, let me know and I'll talk about them in future videos. Obviously I love the multi-stage cooling system. Obviously, this is great here with a roll. -

decanter and so on, there's also a nice little area down here to put drinks or do things that you would do in that area, now let's go ahead and jump out of the car and talk about the next thing that I don't like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan number three.
The car is absolutely huge. That is not bad. It means it's comfortable. I mean, it's based on a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Sure, it's huge, but the Cullinan is an ordinary family. car, so to speak, for people who want the best SUV ever, the Phantom is more of a car that you drive around in. I don't have a driver, like I said, I don't want a driver, so when a normal person is not trained as a driver he tries to park an extraordinarily wide, very high and extremely long car. I mean, guys, this car is huge. If I showed you a picture of me next to it, you would really laugh, that's how big this car is, I'm not saying I'm big. but you know what I'm trying to say anyway, if you're trying to park it at the mall, you're trying to park it at your friend's house if you don't know there's going to be a big spot and you don't know it.
I don't like valet in your car, I mean car guys in general, myself included, don't enjoy valet very much. I don't like having someone else drive my car that I don't know or going to a mall with small places or a movie theater with a low ceiling or a friend's house in Malibu for example, there isn't very good parking, it can actually being a pain to own a car, this law, complaining, being picky about the smallest things, you can't have everything you can. I don't have a car with that much space and it's easy to park, however it would be nice if there were automatic parking assist systems, which brings me to my next point number four, it doesn't really have any kind of autonomous system.
Now I asked Rolls-Royce that question. I told you guys, why would you make such an expensive car? This SPECT was $421k, why would they make such an expensive car that doesn't come with fully autonomous driving features? And they responded to that because the autonomous driving functions are not up to Rolls-Royce standards currently. I said, what do you mean you have it on the side of your M 760? Ally Tesla has it and so on, they decided until it's perfect until it can act like the way a Rolls-Royce driver would act, they don't want any kind of lane keep assist where the steering wheel controls keep you in the lane. lane, etc., or parking assist functions.
I wish I loved these things This is my distracted Parker talking, they go around. I wish they had parked themselves. My 2016 S-Class had it. If you were in traffic and bored to tears, the car would stop, accelerate, and steer itself. on the lanes it was very relaxing and I thought the Mercedes system was amazing, so I don't agree with the roles that you need it to be better first, but hey, I'm sure they know what they're talking about, hopefully, who knows them? Anyway, let's go ahead and drive the Rolls Royce Cullinan because everything is ready to put the coal to dry.
Go ahead and put it like this, it's a cylinder head on the side of the vehicle. Go ahead, check my mirrors and we'll leave now. I love the fact that not only is it a ghost, but it's also raised so you can drive it however your heart desires, off-road, etc., and honestly, if you don't want to drive it off-road, it just makes it easier easy to use because if you want to go hiking, backpacking or do anything outdoors in nature, you can park it anywhere without worrying. Rolls-Royce, when I originally drove this car, invited me several years ago to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to drive it. off road and I could see how capable this amazing machine was and it's actually designed to make sure rocks don't come back into the car, the rocks are like non-existent and they're not important, we have to do things with those Rolls Royces that they told us to do, we thought : you're sure? are you sure you want us to drive through a ski resort to a ski resort with rocks and gravel and they said well yes they are calling the best and so we were able to do it in Rolls Royce vehicles, in Shmi supercars from London , an amazing group of friends and well, nothing happened with any of the cars and we drove them with manners supervised by Rolls-Royce, but if they were not supervised by Rolls-Royce, I'll be honest, neither We wouldn't even have driven them as hard as they let us drive them, they said the car can do it, give it a try and I was absolutely amazed to drive it, it's fantastic to drive, it has a rear end. direction of the steering wheel to turn.
I'm not going to say it turns in a snap, but it certainly turns very, very well, much better than you would expect from a car of this size. Now people have been pointing out what the problem is with the battery and why. Does this replace the battery? It was a new car. I bought it with 11 miles. I already have a 1500 and a 28 which is pretty impressive and your car has been in the showroom for a while so I guess not. Learn the full extent of this. Imagine that the battery died a little. The warranty will replace it for free and that's it.
In terms of the driving experience, visibility is fantastic. One thing I noticed that I really don't like. is that when you put the curtains up, you lift the curtains and we go ahead and look over our shoulder, I'll stop here, fortunately there's no one outside today, yeah, you can't see anything, so I'll go ahead and open that up for Now your blind spots, but seriously, that's a bit of a sore spot. The terms of the braking, the acceleration, the car is phenomenal. I've never actually used the low mode, which is supposed to be like that, yeah, it's supposed to be the A massive acceleration mode like that comes with a black badgespectral or something, it stays in low gear and yes it's fast that's for sure, we have a head up display in front of me which is amazing honestly guys the car has a phenomenal massage. seats heated seats cooled seats the climate control is fantastic it cools the car very well so what other complaints do I have guys?
It was very difficult to think of things I hated about the Rolls Royce Cullinan, not because it's my car and I want to pretend it is. Great, honestly, because the Rolls Royce Cullinan overall is a fabulous car, so we'll go ahead and stop and I'll tell you about one more thing that bothers me about the car and then for the rest of it, we'll drive there. We walked up the hill slowly and talked about Cullinan and life and now just kidding, it's not life, but it's okay, we'll go ahead and stop here, this is all closed right now, but go ahead and park now, next thing.
What no? I like the Cullinan for over 400 grand, you can spend up to five hundred if you really wanted these somewhat basic keys, now I'm not saying I don't like the design, I think it's beautiful, it's black. has matched the exact leather of the Cullinan. I don't even know if it's the same sample or not, but we'd probably compare this to the screen key on a BMW 7 Series if you're spending, you know, a hundred thousand dollars on a 7-series you could get it or spending a hundred and eighty thousand on a v12 series seven you can get it that key has a digital screen that allows you to control the climate allows you to call the car to a parking lot or take it out of a parking lot this doesn't allow you to do anything at all.
I think for the money you are spending on the car it would be much better if you had more features for one. I'll give my friend credit for this one. with an idea of what would happen if the key itself was shaped more like a Cullinan and had little spinning wheels. Now bear with me, it sounds silly, but look, what if it had little chrome wheels? They are elegant and you are not. I don't know where your key was and all of a sudden you click a button and it beeps, it lets you know where the key is and then it literally comes to you.
I mean, I'm not saying this will happen tomorrow, but how cool. Would it be if your Rolls Royce key is just rolling, it's rolling across the floor like one of those automatic vacuum cleaners and then it just says hey, I'm here, let's go for a drive? I've been sitting here for a while, but you lost my key, that would be cool to say the least. It would be nice to have climate control features and a bunch of standard equipment that BMW has on its keys and doesn't have on a significantly higher priced vehicle. Guys actually leave comments in the comments section below, how would you improve or build the ultimate wrench like Tesla and Pagani?
I'm sure BMW has it too, but this is a bit disappointing to say the least, since you guys know the driving dynamics. I really have no complaints. accelerates incredibly fast body roll is impressively limited for a vehicle of this size the only last complaint I have and I know there are five reasons and they have given me more than five, but here goes the additional information is the option prices, so this car was optioned very generously with some interesting options obviously you know there is a five seat layout available. I bought the four-seat captains chairs. The screens on the back.
Canha Dellwood is extraordinarily expensive. The two-tone interior is amazing, in fact, if you get a base: and what it looks like. I like it and it's not that impressive. I say incredible in a somewhat negative sense. Now you'll notice that in the Cullinan review I did in Jackson Hole there was, of course, a ventilation seat in the back of the vehicle which meant you could click a button, they would automatically jump into the chairs and you'd like to have a tailgate or have a picnic in the back here, cook, well that's cool and all, but it's $40,000 for zero.
Sorry, but I'm pretty sure I can do it myself. for two thousand dollars or if I really wanted to be cheap, I would just sit on the tailgate or, you know, buy some tailgating chairs from the University of Michigan for 30 dollars each and then for 60 dollars they have an atmosphere for tailgating and then you know, I don't know what you want to do with the other 40 grand, probably something other than spend it on that option, but if you wanted to go tailgate, then you could buy some big vehicle tracking equipment, which whatever that entails. your eyes and then for a picnic and such, if you wanted to go hunting you could build a shelf in the back, there are so many things you could do, 40 grand seems excessive and there are many options like that, I think and leave.
I know if I'm wrong but I think it's about 19 or 20 thousand dollars to have that Spirit of Ecstasy to which I will click on the number eight that lowers the Spirit of Ecstasy to have that in transparent glass where it lights up it costs twenty thousand dollars that is ridiculous you wanted chrome gold 20 grand you want an ovo logo with diamonds probably less than 20 grand I bet Drake in his ghost just took that thing off he made a custom one it cost less than 20 grand and it has an owl instead a Spirit of Ecstasy I thought that was a pretty good list of options, guys.
I mean, if you look at this interior, it's spectacular, but it has twice the amenities, it may have twice the quality, sure, but it has twice the amenities, conveniences and electronic features. technology that a Maybach or a Bentley have been taken at all when Maybach comes out with its SUV. I think he will absolutely dominate. The Cullinan is winning right now. They have taken it. It has better value. This car is better overall than any other vehicle. Tough propositions on this one, I mean it's significantly more expensive than any of the other competitors than a Eurus or a Bent, but I'd take this over a year as aura.
Ben would take all day if Mercedes comes out with a Maybach SUV that also off-road that could completely end the game because their interiors, the ambient light color options are incredible, this one only has two ambient light options, blue and white. I mean, today we have over 64 color options. I think they could fix it up a bit. maybe bigger screens etc, but we'll wait until the new generation moves on to the next generation Wraith and then see what Rolls-Royce has up its sleeve in general. I think Mercedes interiors are superior to BMW's at the moment. At the end of the day, even though this car is tailor-made for Rolls-Royce, built on a Rolls-Royce platform, the Phantom, you know, you look at the Phantom or the Wraith and it's essentially a 7-series chassis with a lot of custom parts.
BMW spruced up to be more Rolls-Royce quality I'm not saying a Specter is shoddy at all, it's fantastic, but knowing it comes from BMW and not Mercedes interiors, I'm not saying the BMW is the worst car , in fact, the majority. most of the time they drive better than Mercedes, they are just more attractive and fun, but as for the interior, I think right now in this generation Mercedes is winning and it would be great to see that level of cool ambient lighting and technology in a Rolls. Royce, where it's both an elegant, refined old-school land yacht, but it also has that modern technology because even today's megayachts or, you know, hundred-foot yachts, they're starting to integrate all this technology from the new school, it's not just about the canid elwood, by the way guys, this wood is actually inspired by the yachting and yachting that Rolls-Royce used to be.
I'm not sure if they still are and I think Rolls-Royce started out as an aircraft engine company so y'all. of these companies have gone through some pretty interesting iterations, the BMW badge is actually propeller blades coming from engine manufacturing in the military, just a small detail I don't know about Mercedes, it's the same with that peace sign which could also be propeller blades. I used to know exactly what the Mercedes logo meant, but you can comment in the comments section below what the coolest logos in the automotive world are and what they mean, you know, Lamborghinis, a bowl, Ferraris, a horse, etc., what is the real meaning behind. the colors, you know, it will be a fun fact for all of us to learn, you in the audience, learn, I will also learn with you, at the end of the day, the vehicle versions are about learning, it is about learning before making a buys. your car so that you make the best decision for you, not the best decision for me, your mom, your friend, your wife, or you know what the best decision is for you, so you put together all the data that you collect and the real point of the vehicle.
Versions are compiling all that data for you, giving it positives and negatives, particularly negatives, because that will let you know if the car is for you or not. Every car has positives, why and the car wouldn't sell at all if it only had negatives, so you want to limit the negatives, you want to make sure that those specific negatives aren't bad for you individually or that you can live with them and then From there, find out what the best deal is for the car, whether you want a new Cullinan or a used Cullinan or we're talking about letting you know it's a used 335 or the new M3 or a used Crown Victoria. matter it's all the same research pre-purchase inspection if it's not new make sure to check it for dings, dents, scratches, any type of engine damage that will be on the PPI and then honestly guys it's up to you to determine and hopefully they've driven the car, not everyone gets the chance to drive these cars, but drive it first. before you buy it is best case scenario, worst case scenario, if it's a new car, sometimes they're limiting, like you can't go out and drive a Ferrari SF 90, but you might as well, depending on who you talk to.
Ideally, you drive the car, do your research first, and then boom, it really is hard to miss. This car is phenomenal, it's my favorite SUV, it's my favorite daily driver I've ever had in my entire life and that means a lot because I spent my hard earned money on this car, if I would regret it right away it would be a big deal. bummer but luckily I love it, there are just a few things I maybe would have updated or changed, none of them though, they are things I can't live without. Otherwise, look, if I couldn't live with the negatives of the car, I'd get rid of it tomorrow, but there's no point doing that because I'm in love with it.
