Guys, just a technician from Tampa and I'll show you how to fix it right. Hopefully fix the TV with digital lifestyles. This thing has no power well it has a red LED light and when you press the power right here we press the power to hear it click and then the light flashes and then the TVs just turn off so we're trying to figure out what's wrong with it , usually if it has a red light on the front panel like

this

one usually has. it means you have a standby voltage of five balls and five volts so the power supply should be fine so I'm thinking it could be something on the main logic board or maybe it could still be the power supply board , so let's go ahead and find out now.

Before starting the repair, make sure

your

TV is out of warranty. You can try to do a hard reset by unplugging the power cord for about a minute and plugging it back in, sometimes that fixes the TV, but if it is still faulty, unplug the power cord and continue with the repair, so where they are connected all ports, this is the main logic board, also the main audio and video board, the AP board, so this is the brain behind the operation, this board and this board here is the power supply board , this is the inverter board and This is the other inverter board and the inverter board powers the backlight, so if your TV turns on, has audio and has no brightness or brightness on the

screen

then usually it is the boards inverters which could be faulty if your TV is completely turned off. dead and has no standby light, there is no red light on the front panel of the tv, it could be the main logic board or the power board, so the first thing I do is go over all the parts and see if I see any parts burnt and then we can check the voltage, let's check the 5 volts and see if we really have 5 volts, so here's the key as we go to the main logic board.

I'm going to put my black wire into a ground source and the metal plate should be a good ground source like here it should be fine and then my red wire I'm going to put the pins in so I got 0 volts 0 0 says 0 like this that even if the TV is broken it won't turn on you should always get 5 volts. The standby voltage of some TVs is 3.3 volts so we are getting very local. We have voltage but it is very low, well not very low but it is less than 5 volts so there is some problem with the power board because it is not a solid 5 volts. some tv's are 5 volts or 5.1 or 5.2 but yeah if it's 4.75 then i would definitely check the parts on the tv's power board now if the voltage goes up and down from zero volts to 5 volts, then check the voltage regulator or the capacitors on the power supply board so here I feel a bloated capacitor it is bulged on the top and this is bulged on the top and this is on the top and this is bulged at the top so we have C 37 and C 32 that is the location number on the board C 34 and C 33 let's first look at the value in them the thousand microfarads 25 volts thousand microfarads 25 volts and thousand microfarads 25 volts thousand microfarads 25 volts you can't put a thousand microfarads 35 volts that would work, okay you could go Raise the voltage a little but not the value of the thousand microfarad capacitor.

I'm going to pull it and heat it up on all sides and pull one, so I got a 35 volt 1000 microfarad capacitor, so I upgraded the voltage so now 35 volts can pass through this without it exploding. if there was 35 volts running through this capacitor it would explode which it swelled and it did and it just did so I'm going to put my meter and capacitor in mode and I'll show you what it reads see micro farads okay so put it on . my black lead on the striped side and I put my red lead on the other side and look it's reading 17 microfarads same thing it should read a thousand it's definitely bad and this new one reads 960 micro ferrous 970 so it's definitely good so If it was reading less than 10% of its value, then if it was reading it would say 900, then it's bad.

You know, on the board you will see a dark spot and then white, it is a lighter color, so the dark shaded area is where the negative is the scratched side, so remember that when you place it, if you place it upside down, the capacitor will explode once, when I put the capacitor upside down and the swollen eye swelled and exploded, and all the other parts around it. Okay nurse go ahead and fold it out so the capacitor doesn't fall out and let's go ahead and solder that and that's what you want to do with the other capacitors it's basically the exact same method and if you're wondering what kind of solder. usage I use lead solder, yes lead is not safe but as long as you wash your hands afterwards and don't inhale the fumes you will be fine, lead really helps with solder joints and you will get a really good solder joint a long term. with lead-free solder, the solder joints don't really last that long, okay, go ahead and cut them off, so I replaced all these capacitors here, in fact, one leg fell off when I was trying to take it out, so come on.

Go ahead and plug it in and see if the TV works. An old school TV, but still not a TV. Don't buy it if it works, just save some money. It turns green right there, that's a good sign, let's take a closer look, yeah, look. Okay, something appeared on the
