Jun 06, 2021
So, as you've probably already gathered from the title of this video, sometime today I'm going to get on a Turkish Airlines

a330

and yes, this is my voice, this is what my voice sounds like when I just woke up. I have a massive hangover today, bringing you as I spend the better part of 24 hours touring Europe and the Middle East, from Copenhagen to Hawk Down to Frankfurt with Lufthansa and a European

business

class that isn't too bad. as people say, but it's still pretty disappointing, then I'm off to Istanbul aboard Turkish Airlines which offers a truly phenomenal experience in short haul

business

class and finally I'm heading to Riyadh with Turkish Airlines again but this time in class economical because at this point I ran out of money along the way.

I will visit seven salons mainly because I have commitment issues but also for your entertainment. I'll leave some time codes in the description for each specific segment. Now I have immediately given myself a lot. I have a lot of time to get ready this morning and go to the airport, so I should probably stop filming, but I'll finish my coffee first, so there will always be time for that. It's a bit of a terrible cafe and before we continue as I'm sure some of you are curious let me show you the hotel room there's a shower over here a bathroom over here and don't do it, if we open this door it refuses to stay open you will find the room which is very messy but

More Interesting Facts About,

I was saying yes, the people behind me, if they're awake, they're awake because I can hear them, they can absolutely see me right now. Copenhagen is a very walkable city and I highly recommend doing it because there are a lot of sites to see from humble medieval times. from the waterfront to the Renaissance and Baroque palaces and its home offering that looks like someone left a CAD file open for a three year old to mess with this city is packed with architectural attractions and attractions Copenhagen represents one of the best cross sections of European Building Styles in good old Europe and, as an added bonus, almost everyone you will meet in Denmark speaks perfect American as a second language, so there is no need to resort to useless shouting and homemade sign language and try ask directions and about the topic.

Directions are very easy. The Danish capital has a growing metro system or some lines that recently opened this year and will take you directly to the airport. Additionally, the city has remarkably functional roads, at least by European standards, but unfortunately. taxis cannot be very expensive and there is no suitable alternative to sharing since the use of Uber has been banned. The airport itself is a decent size and fortunately not very difficult to navigate. There are two terminals that you can consider as check-in halls because ultimately we will end up at the same concourse as non-Schengen flights are required and there is no migration checkpoint

wise everything is connected through the process in The airport was uneventful, although Denmark is home to Lego turbos and a Lego DC-3 that managed to crash.

In an upside down Lego store, as far as I can tell, that's exactly what happened here. The Star Lions lounge or rather the lounges here in Copenhagen belonged to SAS and this is their flagship space. It is actually divided into two floors with the downstairs area accessible to business class passengers, as the namesake of these places, suggests that there is ample space and furniture for lounging around the armchairs and sofas are designed in a pseudo lounge. be cozy with capacity for a large number of guests. There is a breakfast buffet which has a more than decent selection of food and drinks but for some reason there are no hot options when it comes to food, not much to complain about although there are still tons of meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts , cereals and drinks and other things that are edible later in the world.
To the rear is another sizeable seating space with windows overlooking the parking lot. Now don't get too excited. I'm talking about parking for cars, not airplanes. There are no views from the platform here. Moving on from that disappointment, there is a small business center and even conference rooms. Bar counters are spread throughout the space, as are the suites with showers. This is the third time I have visited this salon and it is also the third time that I don't have enough time to shower, so once again, if there are no pictures, I will try to come.
Let's come back sometime just for that reason, near the entrance there is a display of advertising aimed at consumer electronics, so to speak, for travel devices for fellow Scandinavians, while the ground floor area is intended for class passengers executive, the top section is reserved for SAS Gold or higher and Star Line's Gold. headlines, the seating is a little different to the first floor and possibly a little fancier, the food and drinks are very similar and, once again, no hot food options. I really don't understand why they prioritize having a barista do crafts. -Order drinks instead of having a hot breakfast, but again, my sensitivity is not a point of reference at all, in any case, the rest of the space up here is made up of communal tables to work on, some curtains in the rooms for siesta, more seats and drinks. stations scattered everywhere, there's also more bathrooms up here and another display of headphones and devices and

stuff

.
These two rooms were recently renovated and it shows how functional they are, there are universal power outlets absolutely everywhere. Interesting, good Wi-Fi and plenty of parking for your butt, in case you need to get some work done or are just looking for a respite from a busy travel itinerary, this place is a one-stop shop, but enough about resting. I have to catch a flight and it turns out to be part of the other side of the airport a nominal 15 minute walk 15 minutes later I found my gate here is the a321 they are taking me to oh wait this is the wrong plane here is a 321 they are taking me to In the city of Frankfurt in Hesse, when it was time to board the plane, we boarded via one of these class jet lanes, which is always nice, but not entirely nice, even though these seats are disappointing.
If you think North American first class seats are disappointing then you need an education in European Business, that's right, these are the standard and business class seats across the continent and although some

airlines

are starting to revamp their Narrow bodies with larger seats up front, this economy layout with the middle seat blocked is still the format most

airlines

use in short. transport business, but it's only a 90-minute hop across the German border, so there's really not much to complain about being on the front lines. I also had plenty of leg room and a solid hook for my coke tube.
I also felt quite relieved to be alone. in my queue, well, usually I'm more than happy to chat with a fellow traveler, on this occasion I have yet to reach a level of caffeine saturation where I can function properly. I also didn't bother much with seat selection and simply did what seeing as I was assigned turns out to be possibly the best seat on board this flight and you will soon see why the Germans turbulence can occur effectively at any time during the test they requested two points in your seat belt as soon as you have taken your seats this is andrea tristan security and also private party box as we began to level off the sun was about to peek out from below the horizon and the only thing that could improve this view was breakfast strangely The table did not come out from inside the armrest and he said it was built into the bulkhead.
This is quite smart since you can get up from your seat during meals if no one is sitting next to you. The meal service came on a single tray with a hot cake and some cold dishes. Smoked salmon. and cheese or especially decadent in my memory Lufthansa has always had great food no matter the class on the trip and this was no exception, the coffee was also bold and strong and the friendly crew were happy to keep refilling my cup as we began our approach . I realized. Since we were landing on the aviation enthusiast's wet dream of Runway 25, I also took this time to say a quick prayer and thank you to the gods of the port of brotherhood seating algorithm and yes, The corporate entity that manages this airport is called the fraternity.
Port sounds like a Bosh Starbucks drink, doesn't it? Anyway, in this disaster of an airport, I had a four-hour layover and, with no work or school obligations, I decided to go do a little round-the-lounge with almost every Star Alliance airline in Existence operating at least one daily flight to this airport. I was spoiled for choice when it came to lounges. I chose to stay in room B. I decided on three of them, since each of them is the best in a specific service. I started my lounge purchasing experience on a floor. in a strangely abandoned corridor the airport the air in Canada The Maple Leaf lounge rents admission to anyone departing on a Star Alliance flight in business class and to those with status in this place since its remodeling it has the best suites with showers of any executive lounge on this terminal and if you know me, I rate salons on a completely objective scale of one to ten, if a salon doesn't have a shower it gets a one, if it does it gets a ten, so this place obviously gets a ten when It's about less.
Important features: There is a decent buffet area with some cold options and some hot options. There is a separate wall for drinks. Lots of alcohol and offer here too. They also have half a dozen of these nap pods. You can't really lean back in these chairs. but otherwise they are fine depending on the time of year. Air Canada has up to five flights a day to celebrate from this airport and almost at the same time until the star there are many seats in this VIP lounge, but it still gets quite full, okay? It's time to go to the next lounge, it's not far away, it's just a five minute walk down the hall to a busier part of the terminal.
Lufthansa's senator lounges are designed to accommodate its own frequent flyers and that's its airline partners, Star Lines Gold. The status will allow you to obtain senator status or higher with Lufthansa. This particular senator's lounge in Pure B is one of the largest and has also been recently remodeled. It is arguably the best when it comes to food as it has a buffet with tons. There are many fresh options all the time. I especially like the breakfast here. They offer much more than just eggs and sausages. The quality of the food is also excellent, easily comparable to the fair served by the terminal restaurants.
There is only one problem. The dining room is just outside the smoking room, so you will inevitably eat as if you were in a Parisian cafe with a very noticeable cigarette smell and, speaking of vice, if drinking at 7 a.m. is your thing. It's just that for a lot of people in this part of the world I'm not judging, so there are tons of ways to get drunk, whether it's with a self-service counter or if you choose to be a little more civilized at the bar, some of the Other amenities in this lounge include a business center to store your luggage and even a day spa.
Of course, there are also showers that I will visit more exclusively. Lufthansa lounges tend to have a lot of sweets and this is no exception. One last feature to take into account. I mention they are the day beds, they are in a quiet room in the back where there are a couple of these beds for those who want to get some sleep. They also provide a clean pillow and blanket. The mattress is quite hard, but you need to have a place to sleep is definitely better than no place, although this place has tons of seats, it also gets very crowded during the mornings and afternoons, so with that I go to the next room one Again, this place is not far at all and also belongs.
To lower that, of course I am talking about the Business lounge that grants entry to business class passengers. Officially, these Brandon rooms are supposed to be a little lower quality than the Senator rooms, but other than the day rooms, there isn't much difference. This particular space has the advantage of being incredibly large, so the unique selling point of this lounge is how quiet and private it is. The experience here literally revolves around the buffet as the food and drink are spread around thecenter of the space in a circle the food here is similar to the previous room but it doesn't have as many varieties, the seats are arranged around the outside of the circular space and there are much less people here than in the other rooms there are some views of the aprons, but they require you to look through another part of the building, which is not ideal.
Exclusively there are some call rooms so that you don't have to disturb other guests while talking on the phone and if we are talking about these guests. are of a young age, while they can then be abandoned on this playground, the parents can then go get drunk with the free drink or whatever, knowing that their children can take care of themselves, especially because, for some reason, There is only one toy airplane cart. I want one of these to eventually fit into our shower suites here too, so this place gets a ten out of ten as well.
I'll deserve it a little less considering these rooms are much more dated than the one in the Maple Leaf lounge. I'm done fooling around at this airport, it's time to move on to the next one, so with that I'm off to catch my next flight, here's your bus, say you know what, this is a really bad angle, this is the variant - 300. of the Airbus

a330

will take me to Istanbul in two short hops of two and a half hours and if anything suggests that this flight will be fantastic it is the mass-coded catering truck connected to the plane in business class.
Passengers boarded through gate l1 where I was warmly welcomed by the cabin crew and the first thing I noticed at the front of the cabin was a staging area for the crew to prepare food and beverage service which at the time was full of pre-staff. -Drinks and snacks on departure. The seats in the cabin are arranged in a 2-2 configuration and my seat for this flight is this one by the window. Well, although the window seats don't offer direct aisle access, this is still one of the best. The implementations of this business class format are also almost the same seats as those found in Turkey like triple seven and that one has an extra one in the middle.
This product is getting a little better but is still aging quite well. Let's do a complete sea tour starting, as always, with the legroom with the seat upright, there is more unrestricted legroom than I know what to do with one of the attractions of this most classic design, the ottoman, Hey, understand because this is Turkey, okay, I'll do it. shut up, this thing opens up like a huge cabinet, you can easily fit a baby in here, now that should say you can, and next to it is the cubby for literature, on the side of the center console there is space to store the tray. table that comes out like this hmm, what the tray table actually is is a giant slab and doesn't give at all, it's super solid, it's also a very decent size and moves back and forth when unfolded, although it's conveniently stuck in his seat.
Justin positioned from the armrest is a control panel for seat adjustments which is a bit convenient, perhaps since it's quite easy to accidentally press the buttons. The armrest doesn't move, but there is another storage space down here. This space is quite useful for a portable tablet. or a book on the back there is also the universal power socket and on the front the IO ports for connecting headphones to the entertainment system and a USB charger further back you will find the Panasonic IFE remote control as well as a reading light on the outside side of the The armrest doesn't move, but my seat has three and a half windows, which is between what you get on a first class product from Air France and Cathay Pacific, so it's not bad at all, unfortunately there is no individual air vents to board to take a little. although it was perfectly fine considering the team continued refilling drinks once again.
I chose the homemade lemonade and honestly this drink is really good. I'm not going to bother trying any of the others. They also gave me a packet of roasted Turkish hazelnuts. as well as the menu which we will look at more closely later once in the air, service begins immediately with a hot towel, this was followed with another selection of drinks from the bar while a team prepared to deploy the food carts, let's take a Take a look at the menu, which is very impressive given the short duration of this flight, but then again, this is Turkish Airlines, which prides itself on its food and excellent service, never missing an opportunity to show its hospitality.
The meal started with Turkish meze, a selection of appetizers. You see, these were cold dishes and simply describing them as fresh and delicious doesn't do them justice. They came with two sides, a small Mediterranean salad and some cheese, and for dessert I got a fruit tart mousse cake with Italian cream cheese on this flight. They didn't have porcelain salt and pepper shakers, but like them, these plastic ones are also shaped like minarets. The main course arrived very hot and I didn't miss the opportunity to order the carnie Eric and say a plate of roasted eggplant

stuff

ed with minced meat, my stuff. favorites served on this airline or any other airline, it really tastes more like comfort food than something extravagant, but the simplicity and fragrant notes make this more delicious than anything else I've eaten in the air .
I saw my joke. The crew flew in Turkish primarily for this dish and I was flattered that they were quick to offer me seconds. I thanked them, but the client said everyone should take it in the lounge after landing. Oh, and this time there was also freshly baked bread. I do not know how to pronounce it. Is incredible. It has some poppy seeds. Sesame seeds. There's probably some crack here too. After the meal, I took a quick walk through the inflight entertainment system. It was packed with content from all corners of the world. Movies and TV shows are packed into the library and anyone would be hard-pressed not to find something to occupy themselves with the remote control interface and layout, and it has to be because the touchscreen is in a different time zone on this flight.
Turkish also provided headphones which came now sealed, these are not the same ones you get on their Dreamliner, rather than being a Philips in your range they are a bit lackluster. I don't really understand this, but you can see one thing on the main screen while playing. something else on the phone. I think the design team focused more on whether they could or not and not whether they should or not: external cameras, but there wasn't much to see as the sun was shining blindingly. There was also Wi-Fi. available on this flight, however for today's trip I didn't bother, instead I was in a coma from all that food and the early start I decided to pull it out.
This seat reclines – a completely flat, completely level position. I am 181 centimeters long and there is only about enough room lengthwise to accommodate me if you are longer than me, it may be a little tight on the upper body, the generous width of the seat provides a good amount of headroom and with the privacy divider deployed it was surprisingly private, oh and there's also another set of marine controls back here, pretty cool. If I remember correctly, I closed my eyes a little and when I woke up I realized that the crew had put a blanket on me and closed the blinds, how did they manage to do that?
Without waking me up or my neighbor continuing to confuse me, a flight attendant also approached me as soon as she realized that she had woken me up and offered me a coffee or tea before landing. Truly this crew was nothing short of amazing at being incredibly attentive. every passenger, even with a full cabin and providing impeccable service, made the heart forget despite its short duration. Around five o'clock I arrived at the third airport of the day and work will take me here for you. After a couple of days working in Copenhagen, I take this opportunity to visit my parents who live in Saudi Arabia.
My work was kind enough to book me until Istanbul, but from here on out I'm on my own and have to pay for the next layer. Since I am quite homeless, I will travel in economy class; However, once again, thanks to my Star Alliance gold status, I can spend my time here in the room, but along the way something familiar caught my eye for those of you who don't. I know this little guy here is a Canadian bill for a regional jet called the CSeries in a previous life, they are now majority owned by Airbus and they brand them on the a220, so even though it says Airbus, know that it is primarily designed and built in Canada.
Turkish Airlines operates two international lounges here: the Business Lounge and the Miles and Smiles Lounge. These two places are very identical inside, while one is intended for frequent travelers and the other is reserved for business travelers. I won't bore you with the details. I have made a separate video looking at them in depth and there is a lot to go over, from the Cornucopia food available to the various leisure and entertainment facilities, not enough good things can be said about these halls and they really deserve a video of their own. On this trip, although I headed straight for the eggplants, took a shower and then relaxed for about an hour until it was close to Parcher time for my next flight, when that time came it was a clue to a distant arm . from the airport to take my third and last flight of the day.
Istanbul International Airport is brand new and all, but it takes a while to get to the gates from the central atrium, especially if you're on a smaller flight that often gets relegated. just outside the building but other than budgeting time there's not much to complain about as it's free exercise, it was pretty dark outside so I didn't bother getting any footage of the plane but here's a photo that I found on Google. It looks a lot like this Airbus A321, although I am sitting in the back for this flight once again, my status allows me to be among the first on board and that is pretty good because not only do I have first choice for the overhead bins, but I can also show them. the seat before someone else gets here and here is mine for this flight.
Sorry the camera got upset because we're flying economy class anyway. here is my seat for this four-hour flight to the capital of Saudi Arabia. Imported side window seat. these old ones in economy class. The products are quite old and the advantage is that they are a little thicker than more modern seats. However, the drawback is a screen that, when making a map, passes as many pixels as I have subscribers, regardless of whether there are still a more than decent amount. of leg room and we have individual air vents and being a full service carrier and all there is nothing to complain about wait I didn't say anything right the air conditioning didn't come on because ground power is overrated , so that makes at least one thing to complain about about an hour after takeoff, catering came to me and for the third time today I had eggplant and minced meat, needless to say I was having a good day .
I'm probably biased, but the food on this flight was excellent once again catered by Don't Co. The main course was accompanied by a hot roll, Turkish yogurt and some sort of mousse dessert. The portions are good too and Turkish Airlines is still the provider of the best food in my books. in the sky, regardless of the class of travel or the length of the flight, the rest of this flight was uneventful and due to a technicality about how the Earth and the Sun work, there was not much to see outside either, but at this point there was no I had been on the road for over 18 hours I had no problems falling asleep, as you may have noticed, my flight doesn't exactly take the most direct path and that's because this part of the world is the tumultuous place it is now, we have Stay out of Syrian and Iraqi airspace, instead of flying to Egypt and then crossing the Red Sea.
I grew up in Riyadh and during my childhood and adolescence I traveled to Europe many times a year. I didn't really notice it then, but I think about it now. I realize how over the years the same flight from Riyadh to Frankfurt, huge in London or Istanbul, would have very different lengths. First, airlines would avoid Iraqi airspace while the war was being fought there and then, after the Revolution, we would fly around Syria instead, most flights today. completely avoiding the LaVon making the two and a half hour flight during my childhood the four hour trip that is today is a minuscule inconvenience compared to the millions of lives that have been completely turned upside down and devastated in this part of the world, for What As we wait patiently at home for this pandemic to subside, something to think about is that for some people their home is a place they can no longer return to and for others, their home is no longer anywhere, mostOf us we will forget everything when things go. return to normal, but for some this arrangement is permanent, so I asked that when we all return to flying again we go to exotic lands in remote places where we remember to be kind, to be humble and represent the best of our relatives and when the time comes to returning home we will take with us a little piece of the humanity we visited thank you for watching I hope you and your loved ones are well see you next time
