There's a

in the garage, not the shop, which means we either drove it here or towed it here, so I guess I'll leave that for you guys to figure out, but you already know everything, other than the car is essentially. Ready, I mean the project cars are never finished, there will be little details that we will have to work on, but you will see in this video that we finished the last major parts of the manufacturing. It's been about four weeks since we posted, we worked really hard on the car. this month and I think everything has been going great, so I would appreciate it if you could leave a like on the video if you have been enjoying the series.

I think that helps us. I really don't know how the algorithm works. People think they know how it works. I don't think anyone knows, but do it anyway just in case and let's get straight to the video. We're back and I knew the hood would make a big difference. I just didn't know it. I was going to transform it so much but look at this, it fits really well, we have no problem with bonnet clearance, it's just a beautiful piece, all the products are fantastic and thanks to Simon for helping us a little with this. I appreciate it for the first time in a long time.

More Interesting Facts About,

turbo diesel 2jz datsun 240z is done drives incredible crazy torque...

Its new look is coming together completely we just have to finalize finalize everything and we have to do something with these brakes so not only are they small but they're not actually bolted on but it goes very. fast, so you need to stop very quickly to be able to do that, we have these bad boys that are actually for a challenger, a challenger, they are going to be forced into the car whether they want it or not, that's what's happening. the rear brake, believe it or not, is a four-piston brake in a six-piston body, the front ones are real six-pistons and then these are 15-inch rotors, 16-inch rotors, I don't know, they're huge, so This is what we do.
turbo diesel 2jz datsun 240z is done drives incredible crazy torque
We're working with everything, the first thing we have to do is get rid of this atrocity, it doesn't even have vented rotors right now, so I mean, this is ridiculous, it's so over the top, it's not even a yes, this car will never do it . to be able to use the full functionality of these brakes, they will never overheat, none of the other components on this car will outlast the brakes, it seems like uh, I don't know, I don't know, it comes to mind, I can't. I'm blanking out right now for some reason, so the old hub is off and it's small and shitty and, uh, silver mine motorsports does all kinds of stuff, they have big brake kits and conversion five terminals for z and other cars, you know? in that sense, the same variety and they make these absolutely monstrous cnc centers and, you know, a lot of people think that aluminum is not a material that you should use for an application like this, but they have added structure in the shape.
turbo diesel 2jz datsun 240z is done drives incredible crazy torque
After filling the bearing races and there is a lot more material, these are probably twice the size of the original bushings, so I'm not worried about strength. They are race graded and we will test them, they did. The opposite of lotus, they are complicated and add weight, but they are lighter, where are you going with that? Do we have a game plan? Oh yeah, we're mounting them backwards, well, we're mounting them like Datsun once wanted them mounted, so stock hub stock. rotors on the points and mounted on the back of the hubs and we actually have material to remove, if I open this up to that diameter we have them centered on the hub so I don't have to make any other parts and if we mount the rotor upside down on the hat will have worse cooling, but I don't think we'll have a problem with that and it should clean all the weapons behind it, so we'll clean the giblets, yeah, okay, down to the leaves, three draws. best draw no, don't you shut up, get those surgeon gloves, no, definitely, no, don't ever tell me that again, oh, oh, you almost did, just take off a little more, go on, but it doesn't need to be like a interference. it fits so once it's centrally mounted to the hub, we just drill it with this bolt pattern, we'll be able to mark it through this side, there's enough material on the hat, then it mounts and then the rotor bolts to that and then the hub and rotor will bolt to the car and then all we have to do is make a caliper bracket so this opens doors if you see a brake kit you like and you have thousands of dollars worth of machining equipment and do you want to go. free yeah this was right outside and some guy wanted to get rid of it but you know that kind of thing happens in life not very often it's a nice cut we'll actually explain it because it's kind of interesting you enter the pattern from your bowl. and then you have this use bolt button, so where you are in the current pattern you can delete it, it doesn't even delete it, what it does is it cycles through the pattern of all the bolt holes that you select, so when you use the bolt, selects the next hole, which is number four in the pattern, and then it gives you the distance to travel, which in this case 60 60 is just half a millimeter from that direction, then you zero out the value it gives you and that is the position you're in next like very useful wow viola you mean voila uneducated pig you're going to need to grease it no I won't this isn't going to hurt at all so this should be the right side because I think if I remember correctly that with these unequal sized pistons you want first contact with the largest piston.
I'm thinking aloud. It could be completely backwards, but we'll find out. I'm sure someone will tell us. You know that holds up. Does it? It almost screwed itself. It's close enough to half hang. Half hung. Like my penis. Half. Okay, so the front rotors are mounted and for the next stage of this we need to mount the rear rotors. Obviously, it won't be that simple. We will need to make an indexing ring so they are centered on the hub because they are much larger than the bushings on the rear so we are going to make this filler ring out of aluminum which by itself would do this for certain applications you might buy a hub centered ring for your specific hubs we actually found one but it wouldn't be here for two weeks and this video is already behind schedule so let's make our own okay so now this concentric ring is concentrically concentric.
Yes, here is the one intended for the Challenger RT. We need one that has a smaller inner diameter because these centers are smaller, so that's all we imitate and then this slides in and the inner step here indexes with the interstep there. in that good enough that the wheel doesn't wobble and now this could be bolted to the rotor and this can be bolted to this and we're ready to go so now this is going to sound very simple, it's not, but it's going to sound . and it probably looks pretty simple in the video, I just have to modify the caliper mounts to fit the s14 and s13 things, so we'll do a machining mount and it will bolt on and we can all pretend what we have here, sorry Dude, this guy just said let's make sure it fits before we film it, but that's internet shaming.
Look, I didn't measure anything wrong. Actually, you're just upset because you made me work for four hours on your car, so Sam is finishing up that bracket and I have to actually install the rotor hat on the rotor. The interesting thing about this is that they use, for security reasons, this hardware that has these little holes for pins and you're going to want to use this cable lock, so I'm going to go. through and I'm going to put some blue loctite and tighten all of these and I'll show you what they do with the cable lock when we're at that stage the idea is to connect pairs of bolts together so that if one loosens it actually tightens your pair, so you see, I have them connected with the stainless steel locking cable, so if you were to theoretically try to loosen this one, I would pull this one and twist it, you know, I would tighten it the same way. this one, if you were to try to back this one up, I would pull this one in the other direction and tighten it so that as a pair you can't back up because it will try to tighten the other one so that they are in a state of exactly how they are and they won't change because of the safety wire, so I'll show you how to do it.
It's easy to do this the other way around, you just want to make sure you achieve the relationship I had. I'm just talking about if this were the other way around, if you lost someone, it would just loosen the cable and it wouldn't really do anything, so you put the cables on the bolt, there's a little hole here and then it goes around here and then come back up and then you use the safety wire pliers and this has like see this little rotating thing here on the end that will actually spin the pliers like that and that's how you get this little uh spin it so I'll show you that every now and then if I just pull this, this is how you do it, this tightens it more, it's putting tension on the cable, that looks pretty good now I'm just going to take some normal dams and there it is.
Wow it has a pretty good tension that will do what I wanted to do so I only have two more actually not bad guys today is an exciting day because it's kind of a final assembly we have some supports and some cool doodles to the carbon fiber hood so it's going to continue this time it's going to continue with the hinge so we don't have to take it off and leave it out like we don't have to put this hood on the ground or you. I know I shouldn't be able to fly either, yeah, I shouldn't get out of the car into the atmosphere, so it'll be good, you can see the brakes are officially broken, they're broken, yeah, so they even have lines and everything. these are actually attached to the car um like I said we know this is mounted backwards it has to be for the purpose of making a Challenger rt kit work on points and the rear parts just need lines that James is working on the what we have.
Some interesting parts of the Vibrant that I had a lot more pictures of when I dropped my phone off my boat into the ocean anyway we'll do a review on this if you don't know what it is this is pretty much a boost controller. When you screw it clockwise, the boost pressure increases. What's really cool about this one, specifically what I like right away is you can see these little detents here, you hear that most of the time when you get one of these little boost shafts, it's a mystery how much you turn it, but they make it so you can have incremental changes, so it's already higher quality than anything we've experienced when it comes to boost trees, so it's worth noting that we use vibrant stuff wherever possible.
He helped us a little in this construction. Thanks to Vibrant, we will continue to use their stuff as long as possible and everywhere we can because they make really good stuff. We have a can that used to be here, um, but what? We'll show it when we redo the bracket, it's really cool, but we're going to get the brackets, the original brackets for the hood, because we like the way it opens like that, we want to keep this a little bit dotted and nice. It actually isn't anymore, but it has a

diesel

derivative of the engine that came in this car, which was a copy of the engine.
This is a derivative of. Makes sense. It's the biggest tinfoil hat theory of all time, but it's actually true. Well, this is the exciting world of Bricklands. I'm setting a standard. What is this? Why is this way so stupid? What planet is this on? The pliers aren't in the back here, we took down our MDF mat, added speakers, um, I don't think I showed the electrical locking step. What are you cutting? His whole body is so still that he's just swaying. Vi, so here's the key to the Datsun that goes into the ground right there. The good thing is that we have connected the automatic door locks.
Oh, turn on the lights? I have never seen it. I've never seen a Datsun do this. I guess I connected it. That's true, we haven't tried it, yeah, I wasn't sure if that was going to work. Wow, that's great, so also thanks to a vibrant performance we got a very important can for us, we are taking a hit in the crankcase a little bit, not a lot, not enough to worry about, but it is something we need to do about something, so we have modified the support that is included. It actually squishes between the top and bottom of the zipper.
Can I show you that in a second? We modified ours, just stainless steel, to bolt to the firewall and keep the latch upright. This was straight, we just made a cut and then set it at a 90 degree angle, so this is a good time to show you the latch. can itself because I can show you a little bit of the features that make it nice, this one is obviously puzzled, what do you want, it will make the vapor condense and then it has a nice little screen on top to catch. Any similar vapor comes out and you will notice that even under the screen there is a very high quality gasket.
Now the idea is that your stroke will contain some oil vapor and hopefully you want to know that you want it to condense. and it drips and it doesn't come out and it goes everywhere, but eventually it will start tofill up The nice thing about this one is there's obviously a drain plug at the bottom, you could actually put it back in the oil pan, but we're just going to leave it as a drain plug, but the nice thing about this specifically is that this here on the lid is actually a dipstick, so you can tell how full it is. keep an eye on it, you know, drain it or do whatever you need to do with it, uh, when the time comes, this thing actually has a capacity Huge so we don't expect it to fill up quickly but this is great I just have to drill. the firewall from time to time another high quality piece of vibrant yo guys the car is in almost complete condition. um we've been really busting ass with him this month, it's been a huge project, but here he is, he's driving, uh, we.
We've got 100 miles on it now, we wanted to work out some of the bugs and obviously things are going to keep coming up but right now it's on our driving at a height with the air system and the brakes working great, it's a little dirty on this one. moment we could have cleaned it up for the video, but it looks pretty good, you'll show them the brakes, they take up almost the entire wheel, these are 18, oh wait, what's up with this interior? They are huge though, let me see them. 3D printed panels, we are very happy with the result of everything.
Big thanks to Sam for designing literally every little thing we asked of them. What about those, uh, speaker stands, Devon, tell them how long to make them? We use small speakers in the front. and uh, they needed to be spaced about an inch apart. I pitched the idea to Salmon, probably in about six minutes, he made them and the 3D printer was up and running. You still have these types of supports on their own. We need to add an accessory. the setup looks pretty clean not gonna lie you know I wanted a black one but the blue one is growing on me so I mean we got dinosaur pole stuff we'll do some freeway pulls in the next video to get This is important.
Let's go to Mexico and solve it properly, so let's make some posts on the road. We'll drive a little bit on this one for sure, literally in about two seconds, but just look at this guys, I mean, this was our vision. Right from the start, let us know in the comments how you feel about this right now. I think it looks great. This will probably be the thumbnail we've been running it on. It's about as good as I want to say we've ever had Datsun. before, yeah, it's as nice as you could hope to see it, if not better, on a bike and he said, nice Porsche, we're going to drive a little bit, so it's pretty quiet, no holes in the floor now and, uh, the good thing of the diesel

torque

is you can shift at like 1500 rpm in every gear that's on and I'll show you like it's a little jerk, but like you normally would, casual driving is really nice, the shifter is nice, the steering wheel is bad, but no.
Dude that's for sure, it needs an alignment, the rear is a little canted but despite that it

drives

pretty straight, you know guys we wanted to build something that would work so we spent a lot of time making sure this didn't It was just a YouTube novelty. card we want to use compared to why it has cool features like a stereo, it has a squeak in the rear that really pisses me off, yeah we can't figure out what it's super annoying, it's still very fast and those brakes will try. and it goes through your windshield if the brakes work really well, so yeah, we'll probably take it back now that we've got some little drops like the

turbo

train and things like that, we have to sort things out like that. but it's working great, we have a little over 100 miles on it, the shine looks huge behind you because it's on the very edge, yes it's on the edge of the wide angle, it's the biggest seat ever guys that It's going to work.
For this video, it comes faster than they have

done

it. We really just wanted to perfect it and get it

done

. It is mechanical and like a fabrication. All that really complicated stuff, most of it is out of the way, so now we can just drive. Try it and have fun with it, see what you can do.
