, I'm using these leftover leaves from my flowering bushes that I used to create my Valentine topiary and wreath. I will also use a black cardstock. that my husband had used for a project and this is what was left over now before he did anything with those.I got some poplar boards that I bought at Home Depot. These come in 3 4's long and are only a dollar and a nickel and I always keep them on hand in case I need to make frames or do any projects with them so I cut them up to make a frame for this project and got a few of my favorite wood stains in the walnut color and i gave them a nice stain now i just stay in the science of the boards you were going to see i turned them around and got some big sticks and my glue gun and what i did was cut the ends off the jumbo sticks i added some glue to the seams then used the jumbo sticks for support then i took the cardstock and put it behind the frame that way i made sure it would fit properly then i took some very striped tape nice one I had on hand and I cut it just to go through both ends of the cardstock and glued it to the bag so it wouldn't move I put it to the side and grabbed all those leftover leaves from those Valentine rose bushes and pulled out this one bit or some wire from Dollar Tree that I had from a previous project and cut it to make a solid ring.

I took some hot glue and some leaves and started to wrap it all the way around. I wanted to make sure none of the purple was showing, so once. done with that i started cutting all the individual sheets ly and folded them in half at their crease and then started cutting smaller sheets from the larger ones. I was going more for a boxwood type leaf shape than those big spiky flowers to speed up the process I stacked a few leaves and cut all three at once and then when I had enough I started to hot glue them onto the ring and kept overlapping and it was nice that it actually had more of a leafy green color because it gave it a bit of dimension and i circled around until i was happy with my little mini wreath now once i was done i took the same type of tape i used for the cardstock and I wrapped it on top of the wreath and hot glued it on. on the card stock as well now i put the frame on it just for a second just to make sure it all came together nicely and then i added some words i created in my cameo to the frame now the words i'm actually using mean bless our

in spanish and i decided to go in and do it because guess what, there aren't manyfarmhouse
signs that have a smattering of Spanish or even a bit of Spanglish in them so I thought it would be a good time to share that this is one of the items I will be adding to my online store so soon as it opens i am working very hard behind the scenes to create beautiful decals so we can createfarmhouse
signs in spanish now i am going to have some in english some in spanish and some in spanglish so it will be a lot of fun and not cant wait to share when i will open it up on my website of course i noticed when i put the poster back behind the frame i ended up putting the word Mindi say a bit too Also loud but that's ok I can always fix later today's video is a collab with my dear friend Casey at the cafe with my sunshine she's one of my clothing youtube friends and this is actually her series that I'm co-hosting today and once I'm done with this video be sure to check out his channel so you can see what he created.I'll be sure to link her channel in my description box below, so for my next project it'll be really simple. I'm using this used Yankee candle holder, but I didn't want to share it. this fun process you can do to change the look of any glass container you have around your house once it's completely clean i took some washi tape you know i love to use this stuff and started putting it all around the hurricane. i placed two stripes close together and then added two more at the other end then took some armor edging and started brushing it over the parts of the glass that weren't covered with the tape leaving each end alone so i did the parts between the tape and you want to add this very thick and let it sit for about 15 minutes after 15 minutes it's going to wash everything and it's going to remove the tape and it just chipped your glass and just a little disclaimer that stuff sm Ells pretty strong if you want to work with it in a ventilated area and want to make sure it doesn't come into contact with your bare skin follow the instructions and you should be fine once done it will look something like this and As I was finishing this I came across more junk this was part of a roll of tape that needed to go, but I decided to use the final piece so I could create a really nice nautical rope coaster for that hurricane backdrop.
Now you can always do it. the Rope coaster by itself but I find that having a small piece of cardboard underneath gives it more stability and it holds up much better so I just wrapped it all the way to the end and that was it for this crap. to treasure i love how the etching gives it a nice pattern but doesn't block any candlelight from coming through and you could always add some greenery in the background along with a smaller candle and put it on a pedestal and it would be perfect for spring
ating so for the third one I bought these little cardboard scraps that came between those little glass containers you can get at Dollar Tree and they were just in the packaging so I decided I was going to make myself a Swiss cross sign if you've seen farmhouse signs you've probably come across a swiss cross sign the first thing i did was get some black chalk paint and paint them black i only ended up using one but i painted two of them just in case one I got this dollar tree sign, it was actually pretty scratched up and parts of the paper were missing on some of the sides, so I went ahead and grabbed it and gave it a couple coats of white chalk paint and from the top the surface was a bit rough.

I used a glue stick for this, but then I ended up using a bit of hot glue on the edges. Next, I found more junk. this was Dolla r Tree contact paper which was literally all I had left. I don't even know why I didn't throw it away, but it was actually a good thing I didn't because I needed to use it for the edges of this box. I took it. i cut it, peeled it and applied it to all the edges to make it look like a wooden frame.
After that, I took the cross and these little adhesive dots and applied them to the entire back of that cross. I wanted the cross to kind of lie up a bit off the frame, so I went ahead and used these, but you can always directly adhere them and the third hoard of the hoard was complete for the final trash to hoard. It had this cork basket that had been. collecting since last week, just kidding since a couple of years, I cut some of that black cardstock I had left over and made it into a heart, then placed a border of corks around it, hot glued the corks on. to each other as well as to that black cardstock to give it a bit more solidity.
Once this was done I took some black tape and started gluing it around the center of the corks and all the way around the heart. Now I didn't show this part but I actually added another thinner burlap ribbon over the black to create a nice layer and after that my heart was complete and here it is you can lay it down like this to show the heart or you can place it as a little trinket tray this is perfect for some neutral valentine
or Just because I'm so proud of myself in this round of junk to treasure I made everything coordinate and blend well but honestly I don't think these look to have come out of things that would otherwise have been discarded.
