, I'm using these leftover leaves from my flower bushes that I used to create my Valentine's Day topiary and wreath. I will also use black cardstock. that my husband had used for a project and this is what he left over now before doing anything with those.

I bought some poplar boards that I buy at Home Depot. They come in 3 4 lengths and cost only a dollar and five cents. I always have them on hand in case I need to make a frame or do a project with them, so I cut them up to make a frame for this project and got some of my favorite wood stains in the walnut color and gave them to them. I gave them a good stain now I'm just getting into the science of the boards you were going to see so I turned them over and I grabbed some big giant sticks and my glue gun and what I did was I cut the ends off the giant sticks.

I added a little glue to the seams and then used the jumbo sticks to hold the frame together. Then I took the cardstock and put it behind the frame like that. I made sure it fit correctly. Then I grabbed some really pretty striped ribbon. that I had on hand and I cut it just so it would go through each end of the cardstock and I adhered it to the bag to keep it in place, I put it aside and I grabbed all those leaves that were left over from those Valentine's rose bushes and I took this I also got a little piece of wire from Dollar Tree that I had from a previous project and cut it to make a solid ring, grabbed some hot glue and some leaves and started wrapping it all up.

Along the way I wanted to make sure none of the purple color showed through, so once I was done I started cutting all the leaves individually and folded them in half at their fold and then started cutting smaller leaves from the larger ones. I was going more for a boxwood type leaf shape than those big, pointy florals to speed up the process. I stacked some leaves and cut them three at a time and then when I had enough, I started hot gluing them onto the ring. and I kept layering them on top of each other and it was nice that it actually had more of a green leaf color because it gave it a little bit of dimension and I just kept going around until I was happy with my little mini wreath once it was done.

I took the same type of ribbon that I used for the cardstock and wrapped it around the top of the wreath and hot glued it to the cardstock and now I put the frame on it just for a second just to make sure. that everything looked good and then I added some words that I created in my cameo to the frame. Now the words I'm actually using mean "bless our

home

" in Spanish and I decided to go in and do that because guess what there isn't much of it. There are many farm signs that have Spanish or even a little Spanglish on them, so I thought it would be a good time to share that this is one of the items I will be adding to my online store as soon as it opens.
I am working very hard behind the scenes to create beautiful decals so we can create farm signs in Spanish. Now I will have some in English, some in Spanish and some in Spanglish, so it will be a lot of fun and I can't wait. to share when I'll open it on my website, of course, I realized that when I put the poster behind the frame I ended up placing the word Mindi, it says, a little too high, but that's okay, I can always fix that. Later, today's video is a collaboration with my dear friend Casey while we have coffee with my sunshine.
She's one of my clothing YouTube friends and this is actually her series that I'm co-hosting today. Once you're done with this video, be sure to check out her channel so you can see what she created. I'll be sure to link her channel in my description box below, so for my next project it will be very simple. I'm using this used Yankee candle holder, but I didn't. I want to share this fun process you can do to change the look of any glass container you have in your

home

. Well, once it was completely clean, I took some washi tape, you guys know I love using these things, and started placing them around the During the whole hurricane, I placed two stripes close together and then added two more on the other end.
I then took some armor trim and started brushing all the parts of the glass that weren't covered with the tape, leaving both ends alone. I just did the parts between the tape and you want to add this very thick and let it sit for about 15 minutes, after 15 minutes you're going to wash everything and you're going to remove the tape and you're done. it just stung the glass and just a little disclaimer that things smell pretty strong if you want to work with it in a ventilated area and you want to make sure it doesn't come into contact with your bare skin follow the instructions and you should be fine once done it will look like this and as I was finishing this I came across more junk, this was part of a roll of tape that I had to remove but I decided to use the final piece so I could create a really nice nautical rope coaster. for the bottom of that hurricane now you can always do the Rope coaster alone, but I find that having a little piece of cardboard underneath gives it more stability and it holds up much better, so I just wrapped it completely until I got to the end and that was it so that this rubbish hoards.
I love how the engraving gives it a pretty pattern but doesn't block any candlelight from getting through and you can always add some greenery to the bottom along with a smaller candle and I put it on a pedestal and it would be perfect for the spring

decor

, so for the third one I bought these little pieces of cardboard that came in between those little glass containers that you can get at Dollar Tree and they were right in the packaging, so I decided I was going to make a Swiss cross sign. If you've seen a farm sign, you've probably come across a sign with a Swiss cross on it.
The first thing I did was get some black chalk paint and paint them black. I just finished. I decided to use one, but painted two of them in case one of them got damaged. I got this sign from Dollar Tree. It was actually quite worn and parts of the paper were missing on some of the sides so I went ahead and grabbed and gave it a couple coats of white chalk paint and since the surface was a little rough I decided to go ahead and cut some of the cardstock and adhered it to the front of the frame using a glue stick for this but then I was done Then using some hot glue on the edges I found more junk.
It was contact paper from Dollar Tree, which was literally all I had left. I don't even know why I didn't throw it away, but it was actually a good thing. I didn't do that because I needed to use it for the edges of this box. I cut it, peeled it, and applied it to all the edges to make it look like a wooden frame. After I did that, I took the cross and these little sticky dots and applied them all over the back of that cross. I wanted the cross to be a little raised from the frame, so I went ahead and used them, but you can always adhere them directly and the third one. treasure trove was full for the latest junk to hoard I had this cork basket that I had been collecting since last week.
I've been kidding for a couple of years now and I cut out some of that leftover black cardstock again and made it into a heart, then placed a border of corks around it. I glued the corks together and also on that black cardboard to give it a little more solidity. Once that was done, I grabbed some black tape and started. To hug, stick it around the center of the corks and around the entire heart. Now I didn't show this part but I actually added another thinner burlap ribbon over the black to create a nice layer and after I was done my heart was complete and here it is, you can prop it up like this to show the heart or you can place it like a little trinket tray.
This is perfect for a neutral Valentine's

decor

or just because I'm so proud of myself in this round of trash to treasure.
