why I think you should go with the 2lt trim level for

your

Corvette c8. I'll also show you some real ones. -worldwide examples and

demonstrations

of these features and functions in action rather than just talking about them on paper, fortunately I have two different C eight Corvettes to use as a reference point and they are both two LTC Corvette eights, so I'm very excited about that . I show you these different features and functions of the two LT trim levels.

Now keep in mind that two LTs and 3 LTs are essentially the same when it comes to the mechanical or technological features and options that come with them. There will be some differences. in the materials used, but there is no different technology or mechanical features, so we are mainly comparing 2 LT and 3 LT with 1 LT. Now I am in no way trying to undermine the value of a 1L Corvette TC 8. These cars come very well equipped. and it's a phenomenal price for what you get, so again, if you go for the 1LT, this is not meant to undermine the car.

I am simply speaking, if it is within

budget, you are thinking of ordering a CA. to show off some of these amazing features and why it's worth every penny to upgrade to the 2 LT trim level, which costs approximately seventy three hundred dollars more than the 1 LT trim level. I'll have your information in the description below, but again thanks for watching gunner speed 2 5 2 on Corvette Direct, but with all that being said, let's go ahead and jump into today's video, so the first thing I want to discuss on this list. It's a feature that really surprised me on my first and second drives of the car, something that wasn't originally on my radar, but I now consider that it's basically a must have feature for this car, which will be the rear camera mirror within the rearview system. blind zone alert.

It comes standard on 2 and 3 LT now for those of you who have never driven a mid-engined car before because I know I hadn't before I had the opportunity to drive these two cars, the blind zones are pretty bad you know. the right and left sides look directly behind you, it's hard to see from these cars two different Corvettes in the past. I've driven a lot of different sports cars for reviews here on the channel, but I've never been blind. It sounds a lot like that, where you really felt like you couldn't see who was next to you and the back panel.

Now obviously you can dial in the side mirrors and get a better idea of ​​where your seating position should be and obviously if I have the car for a while I'm sure I could feel a little more comfortable with it but in my first impressions, where I can't see anything next to me, now the rear camera mirror basically closes the gap between what you can see with the side mirrors and out the window and because it gives you a wider field of view from the rear hatch mounted camera so it basically closes that gap back into the blind zone or the point where you can see from your window and your side mirror to where the camera will pick up and you also have the side blind zone alerts that will give you an indication if there is someone next to you that you somehow missed, even between your side mirror or rear view. camera mirror, but all of this working together should give you a lot more peace of mind when you're merging onto the highway or driving through city traffic, things like that, but again, if you went with the 1lt coupe, I'll just get a mirror traditional glass and will give you such a small view out the rear window that it will be a bit difficult in traffic.

I'm not going to say it can't be done because, once you have the side mirrors. marked to set your seating position, you should still be able to do it, but my first impression was that I would be quite alarmed driving around town without having these two features to know that there are people next to me and it's just something. that comes along with the design of a mid-engine car. I've owned or driven it in the past so I'm grateful that these features are here on the 2lt trim level to, in a way, you know, make an easier transition and still give you peace of mind while driving around town. It's kind of interesting to note that the 1 liter convertible comes standard with the rear camera mirror and I think that's cool because the rear hatch is obviously designed to control the top and basically blocks any small view you might have outside the part. rear of the CA Corvette, so the only CAS you will see with the traditional glass mirror is the 1lt coupe variant, so it will be a fairly small number of them that will have that glass mirror and I think their owners will They will attest. that it's pretty hard to see how the car is working with just that mirror without those side blind zone alerts, you're definitely going to need to take precautions when changing lanes, merging and driving around town, things like that, which I know.

Now moving on to the next item on the list, I want to talk about the performance data recorder or PDR. This is a truly awesome feature and comes standard on all two and three LT trim levels. It's actually available to buy in an LT trim level. If you buy the infotainment option with navigation, there are about 1,800 of our options, so if you consider all the benefits. Going with the 2 LT and the other features it includes definitely makes a little more sense at least to me, but for those of you unfamiliar with the PDR option, it's basically a dash cam built into the car and has performance overlays that you can put on top of everything from a sports track, you know you have a lot of different options: quarter mile times top speed miles per hour, rpm, g-forces, start and stop locations on a track, I mean a lot of different information that you can incorporate right into your footage and overlay it over the video that way if you want to share a video with your friends going to the race track or on the track on a cool back road or on a fun road trip, something so, you have almost unlimited options here, from a fun factor of what you can do with this footage and how you can use it, really cool functionality, but there's also a lot of built-in security and functionality like Valet Mode, which will give you the ability to record what happens to the car when you hand it over to a valet and when they pick it up, you can see exactly how they treated your car, how fast they were, what you're doing with this, you can also do the same thing, because if you take the car to service that way you can see how the technician is treating your car, which provides a lot of peace of mind for the owner of an expensive vehicle. to know exactly what's happening to him and I know you can get a dash cam, you know, obviously, I have GoPros.

Now not only do you have a higher resolution, you know you can do a full 1080p recording, but you also have more options and more customization, so having PDR is a great thing and I'm very excited that it's definitely a big point of sale. Going with the 2lt, we now move on to the third item on the list. I want to talk about the front lift and front view cameras. Now I want to point out that the front and lift are not included in the 2lt trim level, but you have to go for the 2 LT or 3 LT to be able to purchase the front lift, which is about $1,500, so I think it's worth it though. you have to add it in addition to the 2 LT that we offer.

We'll talk a little bit more about that and how it works hand in hand with front view cameras to make sure you're protecting that front. It's interesting to me that the navigation option is available to purchase on a 1 LT car, but the front lift is not available to purchase on a 1 LT car, although the main reason I've been told it isn't is because

navigation anyway, moving on to that, the front lift is a really important option for me because if I've had a Corvette in the fastest, any type of sports car in general, you know you know, scraping, rubbing your front end against a sidewalk or on a tight road, things like that It's just one of the most uncomfortable sensations you'll ever want to feel. limited in where you can drive your car, what you can do with it because of obstacles like that, something so small, so while it's not a significant increase, you're looking at less than two inches total on the rear lifts.

The difference is that you need to get over an obstacle and sometimes it's not even so much about whether or not you scraped the plastic divider or rubbed the plastic skid plate under the car, in some scenarios, two extra inches could be the difference in you breaking out. your front fascia or cracking your front splitter or just scrubbing, you know, so you have to remember that it does more than just a little bit of cosmetic protection, you could be talking about serious damage if you damaged the radiators in the front. or you know damage that front splitter so I think that's a really important feature and then you combine it with the curved view front cameras which are two cameras mounted in the middle of the front grill where you can look down and get a really good view of what's coming once to help protect you from hitting a curb or if you're trying to park it in the garage and trying to get an accurate position, things like that, these two work together to make sure that the front end is going to be protected and I think that to me, if you can drive your Corvette to more places, get in and out of more parking lots, things like that, more restaurants, more town centers, more parking lots, things like that, you'll have a lot more. functionality and usability of your car by simply adding this option, so for fifteen hundred dollars, plus you already know to choose the 2 liter option, I think the front lift is worth it and again, if you go for 1 lt, you won't even having that option is definitely something that I think is a big selling point and, time and time again, whether it's from a drivability standpoint, from a peace of mind standpoint, or from a the functionality, you are getting a lot of benefits there and I know many others, especially medium and exotics. cars, they're charging a lot more for a feature like this so it's definitely something that I'm excited to have in my car so next we're going to talk about the fourth item on the list and that's the Bose Performance Series 14 speaker audio. system this system isextremely noisy.

It's a really good system and it's amazing to see this in a two-door sports car. I think I even saw the video that said this is the highest or loudest volume system installed in a two-door sports car from Bose. It's really cool that we have such a high quality audio system that comes standard with a Corvette CA 2 LT and 3 LT. I think this is a big part of the driving experience, you know if you're trying to have fun at night downtown or if you're driving down the highway during the day with the top off and you need a really loud system to listen to your music. no matter what you see coming. in play and a number of scenarios that really enhance the experience of owning a Corvette c8, but I think it's one of the downplayed features, you don't hear much about it and again, it's hard to convey on video, so no one really I know I'll be able to do it justice and show people who haven't heard the system in person how good it is, but it's definitely something to look forward to if you go through LT or 3lt, this is a phenomenal sound system and I can't wait to put it on use on my CA Corvette and now for the fifth and final reason why you should go with the 2 LT trim level for your CA Corvette, I just want to talk about the rest of the great technology and features that come with the 2 LT trim. level or again the 3 LT trim level of course, but you have the head-up display which is a great feature that will give you a lot of functionality and information right there so you don't have to look down while driving. you have the power folding mirrors, which are new to Corvette.

This will make it easier to place them in your garage, Chris and a more elegant parking lot. Make sure your mirrors are not outside and exposed to being hit by a door. that wireless phone charger behind you, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, universal home remote, which obviously most of these c8 Corvettes will probably be stored in the garage, so you can have the garage door opener Garage door integrated directly into your visor instead of having to worry. about keeping a separate device clipped to your mirror, that's really cool, an advanced anti-theft system, you know there are more sensors on the 2 LT trim level to help prevent theft, you know you have the seat memory package, so if you're going to carpool with a spouse you know, program your seats to your liking, just a bunch of other cool tech built into the 2 LT trim level, some of these are hard to capture exactly on video and I'm not going to configure them exactly. someone else's car to my garage door, so I'll show you that or things like that, but there's some really cool functionality built into this and if you combine it with everything else we've talked about in this video so far, you just makes it a really very attractive package, especially when you're looking at $7,300 for all of these different built-in features and functionality.

I think for me it is the best money spent when you are evaluating the car, obviously you will have some preferences with the appearance. and the z51 looks and package are also good value for money but i think the 2lt overall will probably be your best investment in this car when if you are looking at any of the other options any of the other packages is definitely a really cool way to do it, so I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with these two cars again.
