"Your heart when it says, 'This helps release oxytocin, this is good for you.'" She knew she was going to convince me of the science, so the next day I put my hand on my heart, exhaled. and I said, "Good morning, Shawna," and it was nice to keep exercising, and a month later when I saw her, I told her that this exercise had helped me a lot and she said, "Great, you graduated. Now it's time from the advanced exercise "Good morning, I love you, Shauna." So the next day I put my hand on my heart, turned to myself and said, "Good morning, I love you, Shauna." I didn't feel anything, maybe I did. silly, but I definitely didn't feel loved.

But I kept practicing because, you know,

. And then one day, I put my hand on my heart, I sighed, "Good morning, I love you, Shauna," and I felt it. I felt my grandmother's love, my mother's love, I felt my own love. I wish I could tell you that from that day on I lived in a shell of self-love and I never felt ashamed or judged again, and that's not true. It is true. But the truth is that this path of gentle focus has been established within me and is getting

every day.
