they are under the hood.

Martin took the AMG-sourced 4L V8, made the twin turbos blow harder, tweaked the cams and compression ratios, and significantly improved cooling. The result was a jump from 535 horsepower in the 2018 car to 665 and all of that goes to the rear wheels, that is, 15 horsepower more than a Porsche 9911 Turbo S and 55 horsepower more than an Audi R8. GT with rear drive and this has a new 800 M of torque now compared to 700 and 250 more than the Audi, it is now 2/10 of a second faster. from what it was to 62 mph, doing it in 3.4 seconds and the top speed is now 202 mph.
All of those things make the Vantage's main trump card look very attractive, but it doesn't matter unless the driving experience really matches it, thankfully Aston Martin. statement and I quote this is sharper, more visceral and more vocal than the outgoing car. I mean, obviously they're going to say that, but there's a lot to support that it's a very legitimate claim to improve the way the car that Aston has drives. The aluminum bodywork has been stiffened to increase cornering precision and feel, and the new Stein DTX adaptive dampers are significantly more responsive. Even the speed-sensitive steering column has been changed for more sharpness and directness.
The 8-speed automatic gearbox has been redesigned to be faster. shifting and improved acceleration and then there are the digital driving systems, all of them, honestly, this thing has more sophisticated electronics than Apple's underground R&D bunker, so I'm going to prove it by reading this quote here from press release, ready for advanced control of vehicle dynamics. The system takes information from multiple sensors in the car and the driver, such as the six-speed acceleration system, which takes that information and compares it with what can actively control the correct handling and direction to optimize the response of the vehicle or a drive. inertial measurement that combines ESP search, grade and speed monitoring.
The intervention is always judged perfectly or, in other words, it probably corners very well and probably makes the skin cool. I could go on because Aston Martin definitely does. We could talk about the adaptive electric rear differential designed to make the car turn as sharply as possible. possible or the manually adjustable traction control system that allows you to choose the amount of wheel spin you want between more grip and more liry or on a much more basic level the 50/50 front to rear weight distribution sports tires custom-made Michelan Pilots and retuned Brake Serv designed for better pedal feel, so you're probably now getting the idea that the 2024 Vantage is much more than a standard, middle-aged facelift.
I mean, all of these changes should make it a very, very fun car to drive, I mean, just as fun as a 911 or an R8 or a Mercedes AMG GT is a great question, but for all the reasons I just explained , it certainly bodes well and we'll let you know once we get behind the wheel later this year.
