Today's video is sponsored by Squarespace, a website that you can use to create a website. Hey guys, welcome back to a remote episode of the Drew Gooden Show. I'm actually filming this one from inside the Popeyes walk-in cooler, uh, please don't tell. my manager I'm here I'm hiding remember my last video when I said this I know I've made a lot of videos lately about how dumb television is but clearly I haven't learned my lesson because I still watch it fine I can't stop but instead of just choosing things that I don't like on TV, I also wanted to add a positive touch and talk about things that I think are great and that have helped me get through the past year, so without further ado, the video started, so I admit that I'm a little mad at Hulu right now because it's all about Hulu having live sports and they don't, that's their number one slogan and it's a lie, it doesn't just have live sports, it's a lifestyle.

With such an oversaturation of content these days, it's not very often that you can say that a program does something you've never seen before and pin 15 does something you've never seen before. The gimmick of the show is that the two main characters are played by adult versions of themselves, but the characters are high school girls, so you have these two 30-year-old women acting out scenes of their teenage years surrounded by an ensemble of child actors. and it is one of the most entertaining shows. i've seen it in a long time, you might be thinking it sounds weird and it is, it's extremely weird, but it works because maya and anna are fantastic at this.

I don't think I'd like to see anyone else try to recreate their experiences. They're a lot more fun and somehow more authentic this way, although they look absolutely ridiculous, but it's not just absurd humor and early 2000s nostalgia, Although there are many mistakes, they actually delve into some of the most difficult parts of their childhood and especially in the second season. continues, you really empathize with them when you are not ashamed of the discomfort and regret your entire existence before the age of 22. The big show can't wait any longer, assuming a third season picks up, I swear to God, Hulu.

If you cancel this show after lying about sports, it will be two strikes and you don't want to get to strike three because then you have three strikes on the other end of the Hulu spectrum, you have the document. series kylie's life when I know I could buy any car any house that happiness lasts two seconds you know if there is something the world needs less it's rich people complaining about things I have a soft spot for the marginalized because I was the marginalized I guess in many ways growing up and I still feel like an outcast in different ways now because I can't relate to a lot of people so it's like at first I wasn't famous enough and now I'm too famous but I've never been the exact amount the only thing What she does is complain about how stupid it is to post a selfie it's hard because there's a lot of pressure, it has to be perfect, she was homeschooled, oh yeah that's right, oh it was so sad, you never actually take the lamborghini the kids are mean these days and it's not right the hair feels gross the kids can be really mean you know now i have to shower like a shower it's hard to feel normal i just don't like the airport that was all just the first episode but Credit where credit is due, he offers some really solid advice from time to time.

My dad always told me that you have to be nice to

every

one because you never know who, that's not how we said it. Honorable mention for Hulu, the last man on earth. is one of those shows that I think will gain more of a cult following as time goes on. It premiered in 2015 and has some interesting parallels to the events of last year. Tinfoil hat wearers might try calling this predictive programming, but regular hat wearers. I would just call it an unfortunate coincidence, regardless of this show being so funny and great, Will Forte is a treasure, there is simply no one like him, he is responsible for my favorite snl sketch of all time and some of the

best

characters who have never been on that program. you're one of the 400 people who agree that mcgruber is a criminally underrated masterpiece then you'll love this show, great writing some brilliant cameos and if it weren't for january jones taking the life out of most of his scenes.
I would say the cast is almost perfect. I couldn't limit HBO to just one, so I'll recommend three shows that have great stories and varying degrees of comic relief if you're a fan of Bill Hader's comedy and If you want to see how talented he really is, then you'll like this if you're a Pete Holmes fan. or his podcast, which is one of my favorites, or you're just interested in seeing a story about a comedian trying it. to make a name for yourself in New York, then you'll like to crash. I'm not mad at you and if you're a fan of Brian Cox, the guy whose voice you may know from McDonald's commercials, your fries will be his fries, then you'll love Succession, which is actually the exact opposite of the McDonald's commercial. .
As for a worse show, this is going to sound really boring, but all the shows I've seen on HBO have been pretty good. I have said before that what they lack. They make up for quantity with quality and the lack of quantity isn't even a bad thing. Every time HBO releases an original series, I feel like I can rely on it to be good until they get to season 8. Now, I personally have never watched it. Game of Thrones, so I missed that emotional rollercoaster, but I know someone who did. If you're filming on screen, let me know.
I'll clap a little. Okay, yeah, here we go. Well, I heard it was that you clapped, yeah, no, that was me, that was me clapping, I even announced it, I said I'm going to clap, yeah, and I feel like I'm watching you look at your screen right now, so I feel like I dresses. where are you looking? Look, I'm not looking at my screen, I'm looking for this Hello, hello, describe to me seasons one through seven of Game of Thrones, I would say, and I think the general consensus is that seasons one through four are like some kind of television masterpiece. and we were turning the books into a really good television series.
I don't know exactly what the opinions of five and six were. I enjoyed them as a more casual viewer, as if I hadn't read the books. and then once you start getting to the seventh season, people started pointing out that a lot of the consistency of the show was disappearing as usual, if a character had to move like

every

one else in the known world, it would be like the art of the whole season and then you would have season seven episodes where two characters would jump back and forth like in one episode, they unlocked the ability to fast travel, yeah, they discovered the location and then they just, oh, now I'm there for me personally like viewer.
It was in that episode, the bells of season eight, where they had played with this conflict before Daenerys was, you know, that kind of hothead, but she really only did it when she wanted to free people who were oppressed or get revenge on someone who maybe deserved it and then they flip a switch with her character, she just bombs an entire city with important characters dying with crazy stakes but no rewards, not like arcs that end properly, like the first episode of the show was like we had this monumental event. that's coming was a meme winter is coming became a meme at that point that's all I knew about the show yeah and the whole show was like let's get you to care about these characters let's see who dates life. see who makes it to the end and let's see all these bets that we've been building up to, you know, finally come to a head and the fact that they failed in the end, I think I've seen that most people agree that there's no reason. watching it again so it seemed like the whole show from the beginning they were kind of cocky about it, like it was building up just wait and then at the end they were like oh wait we have to think of something and then they say what?
We did it right? I think the big problem is also that they thought the book was going to be finished, so I think they trusted George Rr Martin to have the ending for them. It's like they're driving a train and he's laying the tracks. he's like guys I'm out of it sorry you have to figure this out yourself yeah but they had dragons in it so they have dragons in there okay I'll go see it yeah you have to do it right bye he's almost gone Without saying that the best show on Disney Plus is the critically acclaimed spin-off of the international film franchise.
That millions of people grew up loving the high school musical. The musical. The Serie. I'm kidding. Yes, I'm probably sure The Mandalorian is the best show. Here at least I'm based on what people have said on social media, but I haven't seen it. I don't know why I'm a big Star Wars fan. I'm even a defender of the prequels. Hayden Christensen is my soulmate. I think I'm exhausted with the franchise as a whole right now, there are too many Star Wars in this world and I need a break. I'll come back to this in a few years and will probably really enjoy it. but for now I have to stick with the show I started watching expecting it to be terrible and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't that bad but I drew a divide a divide is the best show that may be true too but I have seen a marvel . movie and it was nine years ago.
I'm a little behind on the story. I'm not saying that having to watch all 23 MCU movies to fully appreciate Wandavision is a waste of time if you start it now, but I'm saying I'm not going to do that if you like the show with the most power to you. I wish I liked it, it looks like a lot of fun, but this is my list and the only truth I can tell is my own, otherwise I would. being a big lie talking about what the

worst

Disney plus program is is the big attack. I have nothing against educational programming for kids, but this show sucks, whose idea was this guy?
The concept of the program is that a child has to find out who is lying. about being an expert in something and who the expert really is, so not only are they using listening skills and deductive reasoning, but they're also learning about some scientific things along the way, very good, well, then Clive opens his mouth, They are also a very important food source for some animals like sea turtles, basically the show oscillates between being mildly interesting and insultingly stupid, but never at the same time and then just making sure you get to your destination as quickly as possible, ah Oh, I've been stung by a jellyfish.
Just kidding, it feels like another example of TV executives not trusting kids to be smart enough to absorb content other than an over-the-top character being a clumsy idiot. Yvette Nicole Brown is great and she wishes half the show wasn't. she pretends to laugh at clive's jokes and where's the fun in that amazon finally netflix, the granddaddy of

streaming

service

s, the platform with over 500 million active users, all sharing nine accounts, this is what you guys came from Let's see here and that's why I put it at the end, so I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out before, but there are a lot of things on Netflix, almost too much, but in the midst of this gigantic wave of content there are some shows that are really amazing, as well as including things that have been retroactively acquired by netflix like death note avatar the last airbender icarly, we're talking about a true classic, but when you look at strictly netflix originals, in my opinion the best show here is bojack horseman, you know it's funny when you look at someone through rose colored glasses all the red flags just look like flags there are very few works of art that have made me cry with laughter and also the normal type of crime when I started watching this I was expecting a style For a stupid family guy but occasionally solid comedy, the first two episodes would make you think that's what it's going to be.
I was not prepared for the emotional journey I was about to embark on. If that description isn't something that appeals to you, I totally understand that there are many. Shows and movies that try to do this tug at your heartstrings only to feel shallow and forced. Nothing about this show feels forced, like they're being dark just for the sake of it. They are able to explore themes of depression and guilt. you regret it and feel connected to the characters even though they tend to represent the

worst

in us, it takes a special group of writers to create such an emotional and human experience using a lot ofanthropomorphic cartoon animals, the voice actors are amazing, the writing is fantastic.
There are so many great lines that I think about all the time. I think it was benjamin franklin who said that you had reached the end of your free trial membership at benjaminfranklinquotes.com. What a wise man and it is simply a great show that has subverted my expectations and also made me laugh as much as anything else I have ever seen. I really can't recommend it enough, as for the worst show on Netflix, there are so many directions it could have taken with this space force. It was a big disappointment. Emily in Paris is a joke and Unsolved Mysteries isn't a bad show, but it's frustrating to watch because they never solved the mysteries.
Come on guys, figure it out and then contact me. There are a lot of good options here, but I'm going to throw a bit of a curve ball and go with something that I think is flying under the radar, which is a new series called Marriage or Mortgage and it couldn't have been released at a more unfortunate time. The producers were so unlucky with this that it feels like an eight-episode sketch, so here's how each episode works. a young couple who want to get married and buy a house and the two hosts of the show will help them do one of those things, but they have to choose, so this lady is a wedding planner, this lady is a real estate agent and she scares me too a bit. reason and they are competing for the contestants to choose their thing now, if you are like me you are probably thinking who would choose a wedding over a house and the answer is that most of the people on this show are like that.
It was actually the perfect experience of seeing hate. I found myself yelling at my TV several times watching these people make the biggest mistakes of their lives. Now, obviously, we have a different perspective on this if last year around this time you had the option of throwing a Big Event with 125 people or a nice house to live in because you won't be able to get out of it anytime soon, the choice would be a no-brainer, but this show was filmed approximately January 2020. These four people had no idea. what was about to happen and everyone was convinced by the small details that were promised to them.
This woman really wanted a platter of ranch dressing and that's why they got it because she just couldn't contain me and she loves it, but they love it too. I liked the houses she showed them, so I wonder what they will choose. They decided to choose a wedding. Wow, the downcast look on her mother's face is good for you, really, the wedding will be a lot of fun and it's not like you have to live. Somewhere is okay, maybe this couple will choose a house. He seems to really like this one. It's perfect. It's everything I'm looking for.
It's exactly what I wanted. This house is perfect. You have no idea how much this is going to change our lives. I'm going to go with one wedding, two, three, where they couldn't even get the venue they wanted. The location was the only reason they chose weddings. I feel really bad for these people, as well as everyone who has had to cancel important events in the past. year, but thanks to Netflix, this unfortunate enigma has been immortalized on its platform forever. Keep a positive note. Let's make one more honorable mention for Netflix, so I feel like most people are aware of Tim Robinson.
I think you should go, but I don't think so. As many people know about a different sketch show from 2016 called The Characters, there are eight episodes and each one features a different comedian, one of which is Tim Robinson and this could very well be another episode. I think you should go because it has the same vibe. Right there, put your hands up, punk, say I didn't clog your toilet. Tim Robinson is so good at turning into chaos without making it seem like the sketch is just yelling at you. He and Will Forte are pretty similar in that sense that they can pull that off.
Without being annoying, I think because they are always the butt of the joke. I counted at least three hits here, so go watch it if you're a Tim fan, even better than this episode, although it's Lauren's one in my opinion. lapkus, if you don't know who lauren lapkus is, you're missing out because she's probably the funniest human being on the face of the planet, this episode incorporates some of the characters she's played in the comedy bang bang over the years and also directed in a really interesting way, they intertwine the sketches as if they were all happening simultaneously in the same universe, which I thought was a cool touch.
I'll show you this clip from the show because you don't need one. context and it makes me laugh every time I think about it, so that's it, that's my list of chefs, if you end up watching something I recommend it and you'll like it, let me know, I'm just here to tell some joke. Meanwhile, my producer tells me that a certain CEO who looks a lot like me has an important message for you, so let's look at that. Hi, I'm the founder and CEO of pictureofhotdog.com, such a handsome website. In fact, I fell in love a couple of months ago.
I was so excited to introduce the newest feature on my website, a corn dog that everyone could come and grill to their liking. Since then, over 14,000 of you have kindly provided your merciless insults and I just want to say that I'm so proud of this community for coming together to support such a great cause, but it's time to stop. What did this corn dog do to you? Did he hit you with his stick? Hey? Did that make you cry each and every one? Some of you owe this poor stick of breaded meat an apology, even if you didn't personally roast him, you still stood by and let it happen and that makes you complicit in the eyes of the law.
Luckily, I went ahead and added a new page where I can go to comment on your apologies and write down your mistakes and I did it with the help of today's sponsor, Squarespace. I've used Squarespace a lot over the last few years to create several different websites. I made it for the hot dog. I did it for Arnold. I even used it for my own personal merch store and can't recommend it enough. I know absolutely nothing about web design. I've never taken a coding class, but that doesn't matter. Squarespace is so simple that it's not necessary and you can do it.
Still, you can create an attractive website. You start with one of their dozens of design templates that make your website look beautiful before you even add anything to it. From there, you can integrate a custom video background. You can embed audio blocks for music and podcasts. you can add a search engine, a comments section and each website is optimized for mobile users from the beginning, like I said, I also used to use Squarespace to sell my own merchandise and it was a super easy process, you have full control of each small detail without it feeling overwhelming, whether you're trying to adjust prices, mark something as on sale, display related products below your other products, or review reviews, whatever website you're trying to create, squarespace can help you do it, just don't do it.
I'm not going to create a website that's better than mine. Well, I'm not really trying to compete with anyone. I'm just a humble little man trying to feed the entire population of the Earth. If you want to try it, visit squarespace.com for free. try it out and when you're ready to launch your new website use my promo code for 10 off your first purchase, it will save you some money and also let them know who sent you which in this case was me, thanks squarespace Now , back to my desktop, why do they put the skip ad button on so late?
I'm not going to skip the ad now that I invested thanks to Squarespace for sponsoring me and you for watching, let me tell you, Google Docs didn't like that. phrase a lot and I probably shouldn't have shown you the exit script because now you know everything I'm going to say, I guess I could improvise something, no that would never work, you'll just rewind to see the script again. and I realize I'm a frog, well this sucks anyway, go see Bojack Horseman and I'll see you next time, maybe.
