The Adventure Time Iceberg Explained

Apr 22, 2024
turn it into a series, but it was rejected every

time

.  Thank goodness Cartoon Network intervened. I can't help but draw parallels between this and every

time

The Beatles were rejected by various record companies early on.  Honestly, I'd hate to be the guy who said no to Pendleton Ward. Finn Voice Actors This goes hand in hand with the last one. Unlike most protagonists of shows with multiple seasons, Finn actually had a voice actor the entire time. This is unusual as the show usually changes VAs every few seasons due to the previous actors' voices becoming deeper.  However, in Adventure Time, they just let it happen.  And works!

Throughout the show, Finn ages canonically, which explains his deeper voice. What's interesting about this, though, is that the voice actor from the original pilot is actually Jeremy Shada's older brother, the Finn we all know and love. He runs in the family, I guess. Finn likes the taste of human flesh. In the episode "His Parents", Finn and Jake meet Lady Rainicorn's parents.  In the show's history, the Rainicorns used to hunt and eat humans after the Great Mushroom War.  This comes into play when, at the end of the episode, Finn has to eat what is apparently a soy substitute extremely suitable for human taste.  And he likes it. 3000-9 3000-9 refers to LSP's direct descendant 1000 years in the future, who bears the same name.

More Interesting Facts About,

the adventure time iceberg explained...

We don't really know much about this character, other than the fact that, for some reason, he is extremely dark.  Here's some concept art from Steve Wolfhard's tumblr. The Fate of the Pillow World Well, this is legitimately my favorite Adventure Time fan theory.  In the episode Puhoy, Finn is transported to another world completely made of pillows. At first he is trapped and can't find a way out.  But over time, he makes a life for himself within the world of pillows.  Eventually, he has a wife and children and finally settles down.  It's a beautiful episode, seriously one of my favorites.  As he lies on his deathbed, the world around him slowly turns black.  He plummets through the darkness and encounters Golb on the way out.  He then wakes up in the Land of Ooo, dazed and confused.  Now listen to me here.

The theory roughly states that the reason he saw Golb on the way out was because he barely missed the destruction of the pillow world. This would mean that Golb's arrival in the pillow world would bring about its end, assuming Golb, the destroyer of worlds, was on his way. The theory is dark and strange, and I love it.  Puhoy was also Golb's first appearance, interestingly. Rumble Jaw Rumble Jaw was the codename used for the faraway lands of Adventure Time while it was in development.  Some members of the team liked it so much that they even made art based on the fictional series.  In the BMO special, an episode of Rumble Jaw can be seen in the background.

Scarlet Finn's iconic Golden Sword actually has a name. However, he is not mentioned at all in the main series. In the DS game Adventure Time:   Hello, Ice King! Why did you steal our trash?!!, the sword is known as Scarlet. PB's Future Imprisonment In the intro of the final episode, Come Along With Me, you can see that Ice Thing has someone imprisoned.  Upon closer inspection, you can see that his hands are pink.  Many have theorized that she is Princess Bubblegum.  A little later in the intro, you can see someone exploring the frozen landscape riding a stone duck.
Upon closer inspection, this person wears red shoes and blue pants, a common trait of Marceline the Vampire Queen.  If this wasn't enough, you can see her initials engraved on the telescope she is using.  Thanks to all these clues, it can be concluded that Marceline is looking for Princess Bubblegum, who has been imprisoned by Ice Thing.  Why Ice King would do this is another can of worms.  My favorite theory has to do with Ice Thing being so distraught over the loss of the Turtle Princess that he reverted to the Ice King's old ways of kidnapping princesses. Primordial Creatures During the Lich's fantastic monologue in the episode Gold Stars, he says something like: It is in this soup of monsters that beings like Hunson Abadeer and Orgalorg come from.
Gibbon Kills the Turtle Princess In the final episode, Come Along With Me, we are introduced to the future of Gibbon, Charlie's son who was first revealed in the episode Daddy-Daughter Card War.  It's 1000 years into the future and he seems to be holding up surprisingly well.  This can be attributed to the Magwood eye that he has in the can of him.  After watching the ending song of Island, one can assume that this gem is the same one that Ice King proposed to Turtle Princess with. It's never actually hinted at how he got these, but one of the fan theories is that Gibbon murdered the Turtle Princess for it.
Although there isn't really much support for this theory, there are really no other explanations for how he got the gem. Taking into account, of course, that TP would have become immortal through possession of the jewel.  Just like Gibbon is revealed in the concept art of him. Malus/Abraxas In the final episode, Come Along with Me, we see a flashback of Betty hearing about Golb for the first time.  As Simon reads the book, we can see another creature, nicknamed Malus, on the other page.  This creature bears a striking resemblance to the Gnostic deity Abraxas.  This isn't the first time the show has alluded to him, either.  In the episode Bespoken For, the Ice King attacks the Life-Giving Wizard.  When LGM picks up his phone, we can see Abraxas' name scrolled on a sticky note, albeit misspelled.  Whether this is a coincidence or not, I'll let you decide.
That leaves us with the final topic. Which is... no.  It can't be that I thought I got rid of you. It's... the deer. Before you go, I'd like to say a big thank you to _insertname_here_, tebmn, MovieWanKenovie, auburn2002, isBLANK1, Drake301, reddit-xplorer, negritactionman, and JustforTES for helping me create this list. These were the people on the Adventure Time subreddit who contributed topics to put on the

would be half the size it is now.  I also want to thank Mish Koz on YouTube, who made the iceberg video for Super Mario 64.  Thanks to him, I was inspired to make an iceberg and iceberg video myself.  In addition to that, I would like to thank you, the viewer, for taking the time to watch this incredibly long video.  Also, if you have any questions or comments about the themes and analysis in this video, please let me know in the comments, as I plan to do some sort of follow-up with reviews and the like.
Thanks again for watching and I'll see you when I do.
