Hello everyone, I'm Dr. Jody Stanislaus and you are watching type 1 diabetes television, the ideal place to live a long and healthy life with t1d, as you can see. I'm in a grocery store. I just worked out and I'm here to hydrate. I definitely will. I'm not going to have any hydration behind me, which I'll get to in a minute. This is countdown week. This is number five. Being down just five weeks left me living in the United States starting at the end of September, probably the first week of October, my videos will be. Around the world I'm living in a new country every month for 12 months and on October 1st it will be Croatia, so make sure you stay tuned for my videos.

ing your lows. I like to choose things that don't have a lot of artificial colors. and flavorings in them, but definitely check out my TEDx talk and be smarter with your minimum levels.

I like to use only pure juice or banana glucose tablets. Now glucose tablets aren't exactly a real food, but we don't overeat them when we get weak because they don't taste as good and it's very easy to overeat when you're low and they're in portions, which is delicious and seeing that you don't They go bad, so sometimes you know I'll just take them. glucose tablets because they are very fast and I don't overeat them, but I just want you to know that sugar is not a pleasure, all this, you know, this style is just a beverage aisle, then the next aisle is this aisle of cereal and the next aisle is cookies and unfortunately a lot of our food today in supermarkets is just sugar, sugar is not a people pleaser so even when you're eating carbs I encourage people to eat healthier cards, you know, we have carbs. and vegetables, you can eat legumes, you can eat whole wheat bread instead of white bread.

I definitely support the low carb diet because it eases blood sugar levels and if you realize there is no such thing as essential carbs, there aren't any. There are no essential fatty acids or essential amino acids, but the body can actually survive without carbohydrates. That's for another discussion. I cover it in my online courses, which I hope you've seen, they are the most comprehensive training on how to do this. to have a healthy life with type 1 diabetes, I think I once found it online.
