The footage here is mostly from the first few hours to avoid story and location spoilers, just so you know, and is captured on ps4 pro, but this is it. It's an absolutely huge game and it's very difficult to talk concisely or definitively about it, but I'll try to give you the gist of the game, how the systems work, and what I think it achieves.

Spoilers. I really liked it. I don't want to be cliché and cheesy like rooks, those did it again, but I think they did it again, first things first, the game clearly shares DNA with the original Red Dead Redemption if you played it at first from the presentation and gameplay. It feels like you're getting back on the bike you used to ride as the opening hours progress, the gameplay slowly unravels and you realize that this game is a completely different beast and that at times it's overwhelmingly ambitious if you're looking a new game. A world to explore every inch of you, free of filler missions, this is the world to spend time in.

More Interesting Facts About,

red dead redemption 2 before you buy...

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game world that strives for realism and detail, and what I really appreciate is that it doesn't mind taking its time. from activities to actual movements and animations to give you a minute to soak in the amount of things going on in the systems and around the world, it really makes it feel like a game of this generation, it's clearly a rock star game, but It's heavy and it's very advanced, I'll get to that, although I know that what you're seeing here is a story of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw cowboy in 1899, as the West begins its decline at the turn of the century.

It's a prequel. to the original Red Dead Redemption, but don't worry if you didn't play that one, people always ask: "You should play it, but this story is pretty self-contained and new, so you should have a good knowledge of the previous game." However, it absolutely enhances the experience in a big way, although you, as Arthur Morgan, are a member of the Dutchman Orleans gang of Outlaws who are on the run, traveling from city to city, camping and hiding in the woods, some of these characters are people you face in 2010. Red Dead, although many others are new faces and the good thing is that many of them are incredibly interesting and charming, there are not as many over-the-top, annoying or cartoonish characters here, most of the people with the that you relate to our characters, we'll really want to see it and develop it, and it's great because we're the Red Dead of 2010 and we feel very alone and isolated when John Marston, the only lone cowboy who wanders the

dead

west in search of other extinct cowboys, Red Dead Redemption is also a family affair and the camp group.

They are your people, so while you have the feeling of being alone in the West thanks to the huge environments that return to your camp, which essentially functions as a base of operations, what it is about is helping, bringing money, food and supplies, drinking and hanging out. With the party listening to people's problems and even helping them with random little finite mini quests that pop up, this is all well and good for the story and character development, but it also ties into gameplay and character progression, which Of course, if you know me. You know progression is totally my thing and this game has a lot of systems but the basics first, most of the game you are on your horse, shooting people, hunting, talking to people, robbing people and some stuff Random here and there and some pretty exciting main story missions, the movement is physics-based and deliberate.
Arthur feels like a real guy with weight to his steps and all the other things he does, and it actually works very well, the awesome animations don't really interfere with anything except you know, except that you're trying to search through cabinets and things in The interior and the camera can get a little cramped and you can miss the button prompts, but moving and shooting is where the game feels most refined, it's similar to Red Dead 2010. but with a touch of Max Payne 3 that really me. Like, the combat can rely too much on lock-on shooting by pulling the left trigger and thank goodness for the options menu if you're that person, but holy shit, every shot has real impact, like if you had to manually hit a revolver with the hammer to the actual sound of a gunshot resonating, there is power behind the weapons now that we don't always see in many other third party pairs and games and fortunately enough because Rockstar is crazy, you can also play the game completely in first person, which works quite well.
Think of it like GTA 5, but a little more substantial, but you get great physics, gore, and reaction when shooting guys with guns. I wish the fistfights were a little more substantial, but luckily guns are usually the main focus and I really appreciate that sometimes simply pointing a gun at someone or shooting a gun in the air can defuse a situation or just get what you want. Arthur can only carry so many weapons, so you have to choose which weapons to carry on your horse and which ones to carry with you, and that applies to many things, especially hunting, hunting is something that surprised me, it absorbed me so much in following your prey.
Making sure your own scent is masked or downwind and studying animals to find weak spots or which weapon kills cleanest turns out to be a really fun metagame, especially when you collect a bunch of masks and skins and carry them around. Your horse is like a damn car. Govind, bring him back to the city and sell him. It's strangely satisfying and always full of little surprises. I really appreciate it and there's always something going on in the world, from things I mentioned at your camp to bar fights between people in town. on roads that want to mug you and steal creepy things and forests, a random stranger caught in a bear trap in the woods and many chases on foot and on horseback despite it not being Grand Theft Auto II and feeling like you have the same opportunities to Silly things happen in the world at one point, I pushed a guy off a cliff and as I watched him fall a wolf ran up behind me and mauled me and then I fell off the cliff and landed right on My head is surprisingly like a Really dangerous world, believe it or not; well the main game and story were never too challenging in the standard game, honestly i wish it was a little harder because of the problem and you could get into the wilderness.
Sometimes it's a challenge and I like that surprise. Well, it's a harsh and unforgiving world. I still managed to find time to appreciate the variety. Fields and Dreier lands, forests, swamps, snow-capped mountains and even like a southern-style city. It absolutely blew me away. Again, like I said, this is one of those games that can get you hooked and want to get lost in, and that's largely thanks to the environments themselves, plus if you really like some RPG-style details, you'll be happy that the game It gives you a lot and they work quite well, you upgrade your camp but also buy new clothes for Arthur that can be customized down to pretty impressive details, like having the collar of your shirt open or closing your pants tucked into your boots or not, etc.
Arthur will too. They get dirty over time and people won't like them, so you have to take a bath or jump in a lake. His hair and beard grow over time, so you should keep shaving. The saddles and weapons can be fully customized in various parts and upgraded to make your life easier if you have the money, and all the time you are worried about eating properly and saving energy and wearing the right clothes for the weather so you don't freeze . Simply put, all of that affects how your health. and stamina and slow motion shooting regenerates, it's dangerous and close to being too much, but luckily it can be pretty passive most of the time and adds a pretty low-key gameplay element as a cherry on top if you care about that kind of thing. elements, but all the ways to take care of Arthur and the things you could improve so much as I don't have time to talk about all the little individual details, which makes it really tempting to be a wimpy cowboy, especially since it can pay and there are so many opportunities to be some kind of idiot and the game follows him with the morality system.
I wasn't sure how Arthur Morgan was going to turn out as a character, but I'm happy to say I really like him, he fits a great place. Line where it's believable if you want to be good or bad and he's just an interesting guy. He starts off really slow but picks up speed and you'll really get a sense of who this guy is. He is incredibly interesting and the voice portrays him very well. actor I like that he always seems like he's tired and fed up with everything. I appreciate that this is a game that, like I said, really takes its time to show you everything, but it's also a really satisfying loop where you know the more you put into it, the more you get out of it and by that I mean in terms of experiencing the story, as well as how you level up Arthur Morgan by exploring the world, everything is so fucking beautiful, the details and the performances of the characters versus the views.
In and of themselves, the draw distances the animals running alongside the people doing those daily routines and the game looks really cool while also allowing you to feel like you can have a direct impact on it, like from side quests that give you They'll chase later down to how The Citizen reacts to you on the street, it's all extremely realistic without losing sight of what it means to be really fun, this can vary from person to person, depending on what your tastes in games are, but hey, I really don't have many bad ones. things to say about this game personally, it's my kind of game too.
It's honest, it tells an interesting story and takes its time while giving you a million things to do without it feeling like filler, it all feels compelling. It all feels meaningful and it's a really good adventure there's a lot more like I said I don't have time to get into any story it's surprising how much yada-yada horse stuff but the short answer is go ahead it's really fun. incredibly long, it's interesting, and it lives up to the Red Dead name, that's right. I haven't forgotten about Red Dead Revolver, that game is good too, but regardless of this video it isn't before you buy it, you already know how it works.
I'll give you some pros, some cons, some personal opinion, so now I definitely want to hear yours in the comments, how you feel about Red Dead Redemption; he just dropped first impressions. I definitely want to hear what you guys think, are there any gameplay elements that really surprised you what is your favorite weapon what color did you make it do you have a horse what is your horse's name do you have some random little stories of things that happen in the world randomly let's talk about anything Red Dead Redemption - down in the comments please save it No spoilers for people but I'll talk to you as much as possible in the comments but if you have anything else for me be sure to shout out to me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in Jake Valley.
