Jun 03, 2021
Hey, we're back with another episode from before you buy that show, we'll give you some direct gameplay and our first impressions on the latest games released and today we'll finally talk about Far Cry 5, the game that everyone has. have been holding on to their hopes as the big change for the series or at least for some Far Cry fans. I am a big fan of the series. I'm not going to lie, but I have been critical of her. Far Cry 3 is one of my favorite games of all time Far Cry 4 was decent at first but I got a little bored with it over time and Primal was a nice change too but Far Cry 5 seemed like a drastic change and I was super excited for it. that and now that I've had my You've tried it for almost a week, it's still very much a Far Cry game.

If you were expecting a departure or a big shake-up, you might be disappointed because the core loop and core feel of the game is very similar, but if you play them all and still enjoy them, you'll find that Far Cry 5 makes some interesting changes to the formula that they just improve the series as a whole now for the next game up to the theoretical Far Cry six. I think I need to do more, but for now I'm still having a great time here, the biggest change for me that made the difference was the search and exploration structure.

More Interesting Facts About,

far cry 5 before you buy...

Some people have grown tired of climbing towers and filling the map with tons and tons of icons plagued by a lot of work to do, so it seems that Ubisoft has turned it around now that the game is looking for more breath from the wild organic exploration system that fills your map naturally as you discover things. There is no mini either. -You don't make the map anymore, you actually just go out and walk until something happens or you stumble upon a clue to a location where you're like saving a civilian on the side of the road and then talking to them will usually get you some information. a nearby outpost that needs to be raided or maybe a weapons cache that needs to be blown up or somewhere to meet a character, this is how your map slowly starts to be populated with things to do because you have to actively engage with the world first. , you even have to do it. use your binoculars to mark faraway Waypoint locations, sometimes putting a lot more emphasis on actual exploration and creating a game world that you spend more time in rather than just zooming in and out on the map and looking for a place to fast travel to.

Now, for some people I've noticed, like on Twitter and social media and things like that, it's not a big enough change to make a difference, but for me it did. There are lols in the game, but with a lot of my Far Cry gameplay, it would just boot. I started the game and then I started walking around until I found something I love and to me it feels a lot more fun than I expected, that makes it feel different because once you start populating the map and doing certain things it becomes more typical. Pretty sure, you're still tasked with taking out outposts, just this time they feel a little more unique and many have real story ramifications, which is nice, you're still sneaking around in the tall grass, stealthily killing guys, blowing things up, just shooting people.

This time the side quests are stronger and especially the staging hideouts, which are these sort of mini environmental puzzle dungeons that you encounter and work your way to get more loot. The gameplay, shooting, running and jumping is as tight as ever and still a lot of fun. along with the little things the game throws at you here and there, it feels quite rewarding this time around, there's also more emphasis on Heroes for Hire and thanks for hiring soldiers and animals that you can bring with you, so these systems have been available in different ways and other Far Cry games, but here they feel more important than them, oh, they almost give more Metal Gear Solid five vibes, like having silence and dog and being stealthy, you can almost have the exact same lineup here and it's fun and the encounters are as good as ever in a Far Cry game thanks to these guys, you know they are dumb AI sometimes, but they can also be very effective killing machines.
I will note that at times the game gets a little too chaotic for its own good. I like the challenges, but there are certain areas in the game where enemies constantly appear and cause chaos, almost as if they are tripping over each other just to get into your vicinity. and start wreaking havoc. You can be in the middle. of an abandoned field with no one in sight and suddenly the enemies just come and start shooting at you, it doesn't make much sense and the game is usually well paced but there are times when this happens and you're just trying to take a breather , you know maybe you're in a base area and you're trying to talk to an NPC to get a new quest and then the conversation will be interrupted by a truck coming and shooting and then another truck will stop and then a bear comes out of the woods and starts attacking everyone and then a helicopter starts shooting at you.
Look, I like sandbox chaos and most of the time they're good fun stories, but seriously, it's a weird complaint. I only mention it because sometimes it feels broken, like the game shouldn't do that all the time, but it's worth pointing out because it will occasionally annoy you because on top of that, the other big improvement is the settings, it's very different from Games In previous Far Cry games, I honestly love farms, fields, and open grasslands with cows and tractors, and then you have mountains, forests, lakes, and rivers. It doesn't actually seem like an incredibly new and fresh Farcry location until you actually get started. spending time in it, especially if you're from the United States, the street signs look like ours, the small town feels like a real small town in the middle of America, and yet you're running around doing crazy and silly Farcry stuff.
I think it's really cool, it's a welcome change and helps the game feel a little fresher. There is also a great atmosphere and tone, which they do where farcry always mixes with absurdity and madness, as well as serious things, but here the serious. It's really bleak and foreboding and gory, you know, it almost feels like he's survived; sometimes during the day it makes exploring the world much better for me, the open spaces are really great to spend more time in the air which is quite Decent planes are new to the series and are fun to fly and shoot , even if they don't feel very fast to me, it's just another excuse to use your wingsuit and parachute to move like in the previous games and I.
I'm glad it's still there. I really enjoyed the emphasis on vehicles this time around: they still control like Farcry vehicles, but the faster Muscle Cars really give the driving action a little more speed and flavor. Nothing is better than tarantass doing fishtails and doing donuts and stuff in between. of a shootout, it's great on the progression side, things manage to seem less this time, it's hard to explain that you just crave perk points and spend and unlock skills and attributes in no particular order, without much fanfare, this along with the unconvincing character customization. you can't even get a beard, it's that simple, it makes the character grow, you just feel a little underwhelming, luckily the weapon upgrades and stuff are still there and I really like spending a lot of money to save up for cool weapons . but I couldn't really get excited at all about the silent character or the progression of him and you can tell I didn't mention the story because there isn't much going on, at least not for me if you were expecting it to be a story. political statement, it's not like that, maybe the potential for a better and stronger story was lost either way.
I don't really care that much, but the star of the show is this family of crazy religious cult leaders who take over this county and somehow get more. screen time than previous Far Cry villains, which I really appreciated, that was always my biggest knock. One of my biggest problems with Far Cry 4 is that it was great, but we didn't see enough of it. Here we get a lot more scenes of Watching the villain do his thing up close and personal and really going overboard, even if they're not always the most convincing because they're kind of rambling mumbo-jumbo, it's still enjoyable, it's still fun to confront and get on. against and the game gives you more story sequences and characters than previous games.
It's designed to break down each individual's section of the map, so if you take your time and really explore each area, you'll get really good at knowing all the ins and outs. In each section you also get the same decent co-op experience, but the progress doesn't carry over because you're playing in the single-player world and that's a bit disappointing. Fortunately, progress and things are carried over and incentivized from the arcade mode, which is like Far Cry's repackaged level editor that's bigger than ever and running player-created maps and games, even solo, is really fun , strange and experimental, does a good job of adding a little more valley to the game because even if you're not.
Not creative enough to make cool maps and stuff, playing with other people's stuff is accessible and a really fun distraction, and that's what this game really is is a fun exploration in a repetitive exploration in an exciting world like games previous Far Cry games. It's your thing and it's mine, you'll enjoy it, it's a lot of fun, but don't expect it to really reinvent the wheel, but that's all before you buy it, you probably already know how it works. I give you some pros, some cons and some personal opinion included and now I definitely want to hear yours in the comments maybe you just participated it's only been a day since the release I want to know how you feel about this game, how it looks on your PC because From what I've seen it's actually pretty well optimized for once, maybe you're playing on Xbox 1x like me or on PS4 or PS4 Pro, how do the controls feel, let's talk about anything Far Cry 5 in the comments .
