Rebuilding My wrecked Nissan GTR Quarter Panel Replaced!

Wait guys welcome back to the channel so in today's video we are making the frame of this Nissan gt-r so let's go ahead and put it in the frame. All right, guys, the helper runs on the French machine, down the little jack and up the. The frame and a bunch of things the plants make the car nice and safe, so we have the Nissan GTR on the frame frame, all nice and safe. Go ahead and cover everything. You will start cutting out the entire old center

off so we can get to the back and see how bad the damage is, it actually doesn't look that bad, maybe not even I need to pull it out, but it's good that it's on the frame because there's a lot more work area here, so we're going to take that grinder and we're going to cut this whole thing out, so we cut out the whole

panel, go ahead and ground everything. below, it's all, this is ready now for the new side panel.

It looks very good here. Now we come to the main problem. We need to go ahead and start straightening this piece here, as you can see, it's a little crushed, but I think the hammer. and Dolly will be able to get it out easily, so let's go ahead and hammer this in and see how it comes out. We have the inner wheel nice and straight. Look at this. Everything looks pretty good. It turned out very well. Now if you're wondering. Why just go ahead and replace this entire wheel? Well, it's a lot of work and you'd have to remove a bunch of structural pieces here and here and it's really not worth it when we straighten all that out now.

Let's go ahead and look at the new hanging room. We have to start preparing it. Actually, I want to give a big shout out to our boy James at Mountain View in Cleveland. Tennessee hooked me up with a really good deal on this fourth panel, but we used cars. there, so if you want to get a good new or used car, go ahead and look them up. I will leave the information below. Now let's go ahead and start preparing this side panel, so the first thing we'll do. This quarter panel is to go ahead and polish this up a little bit and we're also going to drill some holes right here for all the spot welds that are going to be done here, so let's go ahead and polish this up with something smaller, buy it and then we can.

Test fit on the car and see how it fits, so we have the entire court panel set up. Now we just need to do one placement and we'll remove it again. We need to put some panel bonding in there, so put this in. Ford Pinto let's see how it fits Hi guys, we have the side panel on everything looks good, this space looks very good all the way down and also on the inside here everything looks very good, everything is lining up very well to slide right here. and also on the back now we have to remove this quarter panel because we have to put a panel robot back here that will hold this edge here and we're also going to fold it very nicely, so let's go ahead and get This quarter panel is remove from the panel and we also need to apply some welding primer in all the places where we are going to weld, so back here and back here, so let's remove this quarter panel and let's do everything your honor to get on the wheel, oh, now we're going to use three and we're going to solder the primer on all the spots that we're going to solder, so we've got all the soldering iron primer on all of those areas that can be soldered.

Now this area here really sticks, so we're going to use very strong three-panel bonding material, so we're at the panel joint and weld the primer. Now it's time to go ahead and defend in your quarter panel so that you have the entire quarter panel lined up. We put a little vise. grips everywhere GAAP looks great now we just need a test fit the bumper and deck lid see all the gaps let's go ahead and put them on and see what this looks like so we got the whole bumper assembly , we move forward and we all clinch. the brackets now let's go ahead and install them back on the car and see how it fits look at this guys we have the bulk rod and if you're wondering this is the 2018 style bumper I think it looks a lot better than the previous one. one, everything lines up pretty good except here, one of the internal supports is broken and will line up like this, everything else inside looks good, all the spaces are nice and perfect, this space is perfect all the way, now we just have to Go ahead and remove this rear bumper and start welding this again.

We'll start by soldering all of this here. We actually put some self-tapping screws in there just to keep it really nice. Then we'll just unscrew them and knit it. So let's start over here and keep working, okay, just welding everything up, let's get to it, so we've got most of everything loaded back here, a little bit of welding on the wheel, but it's pretty late, so.
