Apr 21, 2024
What's up guys? I'm Tyler with a

coat

of real Coast dust. Before we get into today's video, I just want to thank everyone who has been here from the beginning. Or if you just came, I also want to thank you all. I almost have 4000 subscribers. I had no idea when I started this page that this would happen and thanks to all of you I can be where I am today and offer things that I am offering and I feel like I am helping the Patticut community expand which is amazing. I love helping people when I started, there wasn't much help so it's kind of trial and error, which will continue to be trial and error in the future.

It's over but at least there are people out there now, not just me, there are other pages, there are other channel groups etc, you know, guys willing to help and that's amazing, like I said when I started it was all kind of of secrecy and That's still the case with some people, but there are also others who are willing to share their knowledge and their experiences, so anyway, like I said, thank you all and, I appreciate each and every one of you, so Today let's get into this. uh this is the new rc2

system

uh it's here uh this is a little different than the rc1 that I offer uh this one is available on the website now uh it's been there for a while I haven't made a video on it A couple of people messaged me asking and I sent them videos.

More Interesting Facts About,

rc 2 powder coat system release demo...

I told you a little bit about this, but I think this one is going to be pretty popular. This is a control box. It has a built-in regulator. I know that on the rc1 you had to put an external regulator on it to activate, which is no big deal for most people. You can get a somewhat cheap setup for around $15, so it's not crazy for a lot of people. They already have regulators for their sandblasting or are upgrading from a different

system

that needed it too, so most people who tend to upgrade to the rc1 already have it, so it's not a deal breaker, but this is convenient if it is turned on. the actual control box, all you have to do is connect the air line to the back and then turn the dial or regulator and check the air pressure and that's a little easier to set up since it's right there , this one also has a KV and micro amp adjustment, the RC only has a KV adjustment, so this one has a little more adjustability and can adjust the micro amps, which is pretty cool, especially if you're layering multiples or parts of many In the Faraday areas it definitely helps to get in there and you can see their digital, so it's a little bit different than the other one.

The other one only had an analog dial, so that's good too. This one also comes with a 24-ounce mug. it goes on the bottom which is about three quarters of a pound uh each

powder

has a different density like it lightens very light so you might not necessarily get three quarters of a pound here like a white is a little bit heavier if you've ever sprayed a target, so that's just kind of a rough estimate of how much

powder

it will hold because each powder weighs a little different depending on the amount, but anyway it comes with a 12 foot airline hose that It runs from the control box to your mug, so it gives you a little more reach than some of the other systems available on the market and also a 12 foot control power cord for the gun from the control box.

This one also comes included with a fan tip and some baffles of various sizes. for the tapered nozzle uh and it also comes with a ground clip to go to the back of the control box right here on this wing nut, although it's important to ground it. I recommend running a ground rod like an eight foot round rod at least one of those to your main shelf or hanging rod or put it in a strong clamp so you can move it from one part to another, if you use both that way, you can move it from side to side, it also comes with the power cord that goes to the control box so I will add accessories as time goes on.
I've been spraying with it for a while. I'm going to attach some clips after this video so everyone can see how it works, many things that fit the rc1 will fit in this hopper kit. I have it labeled on the website as rc2 hopper kit, it is the exact same hopper kit as rc1, so if you already have one of those and want to purchase the rc2, you can use your existing hopper kit and also the hoppers from cup that I make. The cup hoppers that I make will also fit into this, so not much has changed, mainly everything that has changed is inside the Cascade and inside the control box, um.
So, other than that, let's go ahead and watch some spraying videos that I like. I said I've been taking them for the last few months so they'll be, I don't really know which ones I'm going to add. to this uh but I have some examples for everyone to review so we'll go ahead and jump into that and everyone can see how it works thank you foreigner foreigner foreigner thank you thank you foreigner okay so we'll do a close up real quick and then we will be able to see how well it covered. It's a little hard to see, but he got there.
This is just the first layer. I'm going to apply another layer of silver here in a second. So I'm not too worried about all the tight edges. I'm trying to get them right, but we'll actually be able to see it here in a second after I do this little partial cure. The cure is minimal. Basically, you just get it to that kind of rough, shiny texture and then you throw it away, let it cool, and then you apply the next

coat

. I like to do that on frames, uh, just because some of these areas here are very tight and uh, you can't tell it's easy if they're light or not, so if you do it this way, you're sure to get them all, so We're going to put this in the oven and put on the next layer.
Okay, so the frame just came out. I know it's very hard to know with this color that some areas will cure more than others because some are thinner than others, but if you want to go to the thickest part, it only has that partial cure. on it where you can see that it hasn't flowed completely and then when you spray your next coat, if you have a light spot somewhere, it'll blend in and everything will flow really well, you'll get a It's got a really smooth finish, so we're going to spray another coat of silver over this and then we'll end up wiping it down after that so we'll let it cool to about 125 120 degrees uh the hottest part or the hottest piece on this part about 120 to 125 and then we'll go ahead and spray the next layer there, so we'll go ahead and wait for it to cool and we'll do it thank you, thank you, foreigner, foreigner.
Alright, now you've had a chance to see how it works. These are just personal pieces. I was just experimenting with some colors. This frame here is not connected, it's not masked, the only thing I connected. it was the neck piece just because I don't want to do blowouts again in the future and I want to make sure there's no coating on there, so all the threads, all the mounting, all the surface contact points, there's dust on them , that's okay because it's never going to be put together like I said, it's just for me, same with this wheel, it's bent, it's just a scrap wheel I have lying around, but anyway, this one in some areas had up to four layers .
I made a white base with a metallic teal and a bright pink with a baby rock star glitter clear coat on top. I handled it very well. um, just playing with some colors I thought it would look cool, so this one here is Real illusion, it's based on illusion scrolls. of Prismatic and a tiger clear drylac tiger for the top for the clear coat. um you see it handled very well as well so I'm very happy with the performance of the system. If you have any other questions that I didn't answer in this video, feel free to email me at Royal Powder Coats gmail.com.
I will do more projects with this system, this is just what I have achieved so far, these two and a couple more jobs, I don't know if I will be in this video or not yet. I'm filming this before I even make the video, where I can take it all out at once, so if there's anything else, I want to look powdered or maybe even in some different colors. Go ahead and write that in a comment below or email me and I'll see if I can do it within reason, but anyway, like I said, this is a new system, it's available on the website right now, I'm still doing it.
I will be offering. the rc1, I understand if this is maybe a little out of your budget. um it's not much more than the rc1, but it's a little bit more because it comes with more adjustability, there's a little bit more extra stuff. It is so, but I am offering a new introductory sale for this rc2 right now. I'm not sure how long it will last at least two or three weeks I would say but it's a hundred dollars off the regular price so yeah I've been debating on buying the rc1 um Now it's time to jump into this uh it's just a little bit more, but you get a lot more adjustability with it and it just works better, the rc1 works well, but this one uh Obviously works better, so if you have any more questions like what I said, feel free to email me.
That's all for this video until next time. I'll see you all later.
