Playing Terraria 1.0 in 2020... to kill time until 1.4 Journey's End

that I'm using the musket more and more and then I destroyed my second shadow orb. I didn't want to make a third one and I ended up getting the orb of light now in modern terrariums which is a light pet but light pets didn't exist back then so you would actually need 40 manor to spawn it and it would only last a couple of minutes . that kind of way and I didn't have that kind of patient, so I never really ended up using it on my entire shaft. Then I knew I could use my shadow pickaxe to go and grab some obsidian and some hellstone and stuff.

I was surprised how difficult it was to make obsidian, I poured a huge puddle of water over some lava and finished it with seven pieces, so after about half an hour I managed to stumble across hell and this place is very different. There aren't any of those obsidian houses than there are now, they're all made of health, stone brick, and fire imps, man, they feel a lot more ruthless because the balls they throw at you have such good knockback that you'll usually end up in lava. and of course at this point I don't have a grappling hook because that was related to the goblin invasion that never showed up during the five hours and I don't have rocket boots because that's the exact same thing you have to get during the goblin invasion. goblins, so I ended up dying here.

I came here, but you know, it was fun to come back, but I didn't really need the hell stone, so it was at this point I decided I probably didn't need it. more upgrades and I was probably ready for Skeletron which was the final boss in this version of the game, so I headed into my dungeon, built a simple arena and the cool thing is that when you clicked on the old one, there was no option to fight against Skeletron, it just happened and I really liked that surprise, but unfortunately, although I was able to survive the fight, I couldn't

kill

him in

time

, so once a day, he instantly

kill

ed me. as it would be today and it was a lot of fun to watch.

I really liked it, so at this point I had enough lenses to create a suspicious eye. You couldn't find them naturally in this version of the game, so you had to make one. and it took ten lenses, now lenses were much harder to get in this version of

terraria

. I found that the eyes didn't appear as often as I wanted and they didn't actually seem to droop out very often, so this was after about four hours. So I started with the Eye of Cthulhu technically in the second round and of course I stomped it in a very easy fight when you play Terraria for nine years, but I took it down with a Bell demon and they really liked it, it just felt like a normal Terraria and he ended up giving me more demonite and I didn't really need that, that was cool, at least I could have made some armor, so since I used that night to defeat Cthulhu, I knew I just needed to wait one more night to defeat Skeletron, so I made some small adjustments to my arena to help because of course I didn't have any of those movement accessories that I really needed and then it was a pretty long fight, but I took down Skeletron.

Remember when I was a kid I always found it very disappointing when you defeated Skeletron because he didn't really give you any kind of reward. Cthulhu and the Eater of Worlds would give you damage and everything you could use to create new ones. stuff, but the rewards for Skeletron were always the dungeon, but with that that was the end of my Terraria zero point free adventure, now you might be wondering, hey, why didn't you make King Slime? Why actually King Slime was in this version of the game too, but it turns out he wasn't. It was added in an update a couple of days later that also added bunnies.

I don't know how I didn't realize this, but during my entire adventure I never found a Bunny and I seem to remember that they were in the game from the beginning, but they weren't, so I think if we do another one of these, I'll start it in 1.0 point form and I'll go find King Slime, why not? Going back to what I mentioned at the beginning, I found what I was looking for. I managed to remember why I fell in love with terrariums when I was 14 years old. Well, yes, but I also know it at the beginning, at least for the first hour. 2 I found the game very frustrating, but I feel like it's because I'm so used to something that's a lot smoother and more polished, but it was when I found that floating island that the feeling of discovering something in the world is what really draws me in.

Every moment, that's what I really love about Terraria: exploring and having a new adventure every time and I really started to appreciate this older version because the fact that it had less stuff meant that when you found something there was always so much more. Special and much more memorable, whether it's those fins or all those free angel statues. I had a pretty good time, so I would definitely recommend checking out the older version of Terraria. However, unfortunately you cannot access this and it would be illegal to link to it. to a place where I can share it, so I really hope that by Terraria's 10th anniversary, maybe a year after the end of the

journey

, when the developers have a little more free time because I'm sure they are very busy right now . maybe they'll find the time to make some of the older versions accessible so people can download and review them, maybe slightly modified so you don't have to move your save folders and stuff like that, that would be great right?
