Pilot STARS! Captains Marina & Gerhard Airbus A220 Riga-Dublin Ultimate Cockpit Movie [AirClips

May 29, 2021
I now have the great honor of having a conversation with Mr. Martin Gauss, the CEO of Airbaltic. Thank you very much for inviting me, Mr. Gauss, you're welcome. I hope you are good. You and your family are fine. Yes, we are all. Well, and after more than three months going through this, I think we are very positive because we see that we have already been flying for four weeks and now we see that the trust and what we did well before the greed crisis is returning. We have more and more passengers. Happy, you see, you see us in a very happy company because we are finally back in the air and Fly Air Baltic has been heavily in the media, there have been great plans and very successful growth before coveting as it seemed and now as in all airlines stopped and are slowly resuming faster than others, but still, how many planes do they have in operation today?

We have 14 aircraft ready to fly, we only have 22 Airbus A220. We have several things that happened after the crisis. We made the decision to focus only on the Airbus A220 300. We are the sole operator of the Airbus A220 because we no longer have anything else. What we operate. We have 22 of them in total currently. There are also many more orders. More will join us this year and next. The average age of our fleet is actually a good number. Additionally, our average fleet age is 1.9 years, so we probably have the youngest fleet in the world. Furthermore, you have been the launch customer.

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm right for the

a220

300, that's the launch operator, they call it, that's an operator. Today we have 22 airplanes as I said, but we have a firm order for another 28 that will take us to 50 airplanes and we have 30 options for the A220. 300 that we would run at a time when we believe we can fly more than 50 aircraft, so we are among the largest A220 or we have the order book. Delta Airlines of course has a larger order book because it has a larger order, but otherwise Yes, and the launch operator status, after Switzerland received the launch of the A220 100, they were the launch customer of the airplane.

Then in December 2016 we took our first plane and since then we've had a lot of international recognition for flying the plane and being an Airbus customer who has proven that that plane is a game changer, so a lot of Airbaltic has to do with the aircraft and now focus only on that type for the future also shows our dedication to it, obviously Airbus and also the other aircraft manufacturers are now very busy receiving calls from operators asking for postponements cancellations of aircraft orders and with that big pending order you have with

airbus

from pre-covered times what is the change in your business plan what are your intentions with the remaining orders you still have We made a decision when we were the first airline to stop flying completely on March 17 , after the government made the decision that the borders would be closed, we decided that the airline would completely suspend scheduled operations and that was what we were focusing on for the future. in staying because the most important thing was to stay, we needed to secure future funds because it was clear that we would need additional capital to overcome the crisis, we also reduced our costs and made a very important decision to review our product. said that we would present a decision that we had made in the business plan for the future to focus only on the Airbus A220 300 and that decision that we made in the first week after they stopped us saying that it no longer made sense to fly, so many aircraft , so let's take out the q 400 fleet, 12 of them and we take out the four Boeings that were still there, they are parked here but they will not return to scheduled operations, so that was the most important decision of the A220 looking now at the order book of Airbus actually helps because many airlines will try to postpone future deliveries and of course now we also need them at a different interval, but we still want to have them all to get back to the number of aircraft we had. before and since we no longer fly the other types, that actually helps us and we are currently discussing with Airbus how exactly to bring back all these aircraft that we have ordered, so we don't want to cancel any of them, but we want to change. the individual delivery dates for this year, we still intend to receive three more aircraft, now we also have many fans among our viewers and I am very pleased to obviously be sitting in the office of the CEO of the airline with the most aircraft models in any CEO's office right behind you, there is a table with countless Airbaltic models and I think either you are a very enthusiastic collector of these models or there could be some other story behind it that possibly no, there is actually a story behind it.

They are the airplane models, there are 80 of them, they are the small auxiliary models, the metal models, they are lined up there and when we placed the order for up to 80 airplanes, the idea actually came from our head of corporate communications Alicia Breda. The idea of decorating the desk at the press conference with these 80 small airplanes and then they moved to my office and in my office we took every time one was manufactured and flown from Montreal to Riga, when it lands here we physically place it. from left to right and then what you see on the right side you see 22 planes which is what we have today on the other side you see the ones that are coming and I have to say that not only did you see this in this office but probably the most photographed at Airbaltic because all the journalists who came in the past asked for it and took interesting photos and this board behind me has been photographed and published many times, it's not that I like having airplane models, it's quite the opposite, just I have two other models, they are the airplanes that we fly here, the larger models, but I like it, it is a daily motivation, not only for me, for the management team, which also holds meetings in this office.
We're all motivated by each of the airplanes that come in and then by putting these little models up, it gives you each day a visualization of where we want to go. We wish you all the best of luck in this new mission. Thank you very much for your time and support here and thank you for the opportunity for us to have that interview. Thank you. It took me about two hours on that plane to set up all the cameras and that was yesterday afternoon and now it's early in the morning. Riga. I'm crossing the bridge. Here on the river, I'm basically alone, there's no traffic and I just got my life jacket, my circle k, fancy morning coffee, heading back to the airport to catch the photo flight to Dublin this morning with Captain Marina from our famous

movie

Q 400. and with captain

gerhard

t from our heraklion film and the montreal delivery film, so I would really like to know how they experienced the lockdown, how they experienced the situation, how they felt in the previous films, have they really been promoting their jobs as

pilot

s encouraging people to follow them uh what remains is that that is still the case or how do they see the future of

pilot

s how do they see their own future in airbaltic um I want to know more about that and I would like to I invite you to join me , greetings, so a very warm welcome to all the eclipse fans joining us today.
This is not the first time we have made one of the eclipse videos. We are at home, so to speak, in the house. from our baltic here in

riga

in latvia and we are preparing for an early morning departure to

dublin

and my name is

gerhard

ramke i am the chief pilot here in a baltic and i have the pleasure of flying today with navy yes, hello everyone from E On the side also today there will be a special flight from Riga to Dublin. We will have two

captains

today on one flight deck and on the right side.
I will be. I will have the opportunity to fly with the chief pilot. Well, the opportunity. how to say that we work together from time to time the airline has become a little smaller we will tell you later uh during the flight um and um how to say that we have always been like a big family now We are a little smaller family, without However, we enjoy working together and getting to know each other from time to time. I have the pleasure of flying in the right seat with Marina today, it's not that often that we get to have two

captains

flying together so this is also a good opportunity. cs lima for today, since it is a beautiful plane for us.
I saw it at #302 from Dubrovnik yesterday on the flight to Dublin. I think you already checked the documents, so we have good tanker transport and, weather-wise, Dublin can be rainy, but nothing. A bit of special turbulence is forecast over Sweden, but we'll see how it goes. I didn't see anything special according to Northamptons because of the fuel problem, so on the way back I think I would grab a drink somewhere. 7 8 I would point and with this one on top that would give us uh with a little bit more on top of that uh with the taxi fuel um I would go for one three two around that sounds good to me yeah, yeah and with those weights they're fine and so on, no we have no problem anywhere, yeah, so um seven eight both sides at full speed three zero in a way uh two and uh flight level two five zero initially on the way back then we go up three seven zero three nine zero uh, we'll check with the table, yeah, and um, anything, um, what I missed on the flight, no, no, really, the rest is discussed.
The plane looks good, um, it's been overnighted, so to speak, cleaned and disinfected. no, everything here is fine, I think we should go tell you about our cabin, yes, that's a good idea, good morning, so good morning everyone, yes, today we have a special flight, two captains on the flight deck and we have a little footage of our flight uh we have a beautiful plane for today uh cs lima is on stand 302 came from brave Dubrovnik yesterday already um so the flight lasts two hours uh 40 we can do it both ways the weather in Dublin could be a little rainy otherwise Nothing special about it plus 14 degrees there plus 12 degrees in Riga.
There may be a bit of turbulence somewhere over Sweden or closer to Ireland. Otherwise it's fine. We still have to apply the high altitude climb procedure, so we will call you when we are ready. Yes. so the question of the day yes, is the location of the operation, precautions for crash checks, so it is located on the slider, yes, perfect, then it must be there, yes, just in case of fire, place yourself behind the panels etc., sure, he will come in and tell us what it is. what do you need it for and then we'll probably give it to you yeah well what about food and drinks? uh still water for me and we'll let you know about the meals when we have time, maybe two, yeah, okay, yeah, same thing. with me please, still water and on the way would be perfect, thank you, since we are going to go through the airport, we will also need a mask, I have one, I have mine with me, yes, yes, well, yes, we have to run for the passport check, which means through the airport itself, yes, well then see you now, five minutes, I'll see at the passport check there, thank you, excellent, thank you, so hello everyone, once again , I'm going to do an external walkthrough of the plane, we usually start at the front passenger door and I'm going to move clockwise around the plane to check for any damage to the plane that we may have missed, so We start with the nose of the plane.
You can see many sensors here. all very important to us and we check that there are no obstructions in them, so you can see, for example, two pitot tubes that are on this plane, elegantly called, air data system probes, ice detection probe , alpha vein probes and total air temperature probes. the right side of the nose looks more or less the same, the plane is symmetrical and that's why we have the same probes on the right side, for example the whistle tubes, we have four in total for the left pilot, the right pilot for reserve instruments and the fourth one for redundancy we cut we check all the equipment to verify the general condition the tires the wheels the struts there are no leaks of any kind the lights obviously you can also see a small red light here it is another visual indication for a trailer driver from the truck that the handbrake is set in the cabin and that the plane should not move and when we release the handbrake you will also see that we are ready, we check the engines, of course, this is a quite interesting engine of its type in this Plane, the huge fan we see is not directly connected to the motor shaft, it is a geared turbofan motor, which means that the fan is connected by a gearbox to the motor and rotates at one third of the shaft speed, what it provides to each component. of the agent to spin at its optimal speed and makes the engine lighter and more efficient.
I check the general condition of the wing, so on the leading edge we see that there are the slats and on the training edge, the ailerons and flaps, those are those small surfaces that move after takeoff and before landing and the passengers Sometimes you wonder why they move, it's okay, yeah, it's okay, they're giving us liftto do. There's a lot of knowledge that of course you have to have behind you when it comes to systems and how systems correlate, but on the other hand, um, a checklist system like that helps a lot in dealing with a certain situation, so I love that presentation and the fact that we have that support, actually yes, and of course, the more modern the machinery, the less how to do it. let's say the risk of the areas should be there, yes, the passenger in the back wants us to solve it in the best possible way, speaking of the presentation of information, I think a very good display is the icas, so they are in the right side. from my screen number two, which basically tells us visually if we have any normal or special selection of any switch or button on the aircraft, so it also tells us that includes any malfunctions on the aircraft, it instantly appears there and basically with a scan fast. from the akas we can see in what positions what state our plane is in at the moment there are three nodes, the Indian wing is off, that is a requirement for our plane above flight level 350, a high return flow that is related to the increased flow of fresh air for the passenger during those times and no pet, which is a standard item there now, the floor plate package is of course something that we have introduced now with these consequences or in reality is not even the consequences that we are still dealing with from the corona, basically just within the In recent days the borders of many countries have been reopened and we find ourselves in the situation that we have now increased the rights after having been grounded for a long time, so in a period of almost three months we have only done a few flights that were mainly repatriation flights that were stuckpassengers, um, that were on a trip, yes, somewhere else, they could have been vacations, it could have been business visits or family visits or whatever, and um, bringing these people home again, that's been our main task and we've only done a few. of those, so now that the normal operation of the line begins again with, of course, a significantly reduced number of passengers, for now we have implemented measures, we have been working intensively on these things during this three-month period to see the optimal introduced to ensure that passengers feel comfortable flying again many different topics have been addressed have been discussed have been taken care of have been implemented as procedures we, as an airline, want to be at the forefront of the industry movement to ensure that passengers truly feel safe traveling with us and that there is no reason for discussion at any time when it comes to how to say that they are protected as much as possible, that we provide a small care package that contains a mask, we require that passengers wear your mask for the entire flight it's basically there to protect others as much as we can and then vice versa of course the passenger is this specific passenger and then before boarding we measure temperatures that's an automated procedure.
I have invested in quite expensive cameras that produce an image that checks the temperature, not everything is really scientifically proven, that would be a measure of course, I would say that apparently even people who don't have the symptoms and still carry the virus, but we want to do everything we can to make sure that we at least have, I would say, take into account all of these measures and I think in general people tend to be very concerned during this period about blowing that up. They are sitting very close together and the plane is a closed space, let's say in a cabin, but actually the airflow in the plane is done so efficiently vertically from top to bottom in a way that it doesn't really mix with the air. of the person who is sitting even on your side absolutely also I talked about apu uh quickly uh during my external walk that as a procedure we have in the um mandatory to turn it on before the first passenger enters the plane and turn it on it turns off only after the last leaves the aircraft to maintain this constant flow of air cooling into the cabin, so before you have turned on the APU, whether it needs electrical power, which we don't need at that stage because we still have Ground power is connected from the ground service, so we don't need electrical support, but we have made it a rule that even five or ten minutes before passengers start boarding, we have the Abu running to have that high airflow through the cabin to ensure that on a constant basis the air is exchanged in the cabin and now we have these hipaa filters on board which are filters, they basically take anything out of the air that you can find in there and it would take 90 or more than 99 of anything you wanted, like germs and things like that, they would filter them from the air itself with these hipaa filters and we working, how to say, our air conditioning system in a more intense way, um the air is exchanged throughout the cabin every two or three minutes and with that, it is Pretty sure that, how to say, the way the air flows, etc., is not unpleasant for the passengers, so you wouldn't feel a huge draft, but on the other hand, there is significant airflow to ensure that nothing gets blown. can really spread, what you would have in your direct environment and where you would first think about saving fuel and, of course, you would also think about the environment.
Not running the APU until Basically you would just want to run the plane where you really need the APU, now this has become absolutely secondary because the main focus of course is the health and safety of the passenger and making them feel somehow Well taken care of and with that, of course. we use it to distribute the air to the cane, ladies and gentlemen, we will start our service shortly in business class, we will serve a meal from our chef in economy class, a priority of meals and a selection of drinks are available for purchase upon request with anticipation. -order food before the flight, it will arrive very soon you will find the food and drink offers on menu cards that will be distributed in a few minutes.
Please note that only credit card payments will be accepted for purchases, all with us at At this time, please sit back and enjoy your hospitality. Thank you, of course, how to say it. We, as an airline, have been greatly affected. We as an airline, the entire industry, all the airlines we were on, very few were flying. Most of them. I have had to say that they had to ground their operations. Many employees of airlines and other industries, of course, are also affected, but if we talk about flights and airlines, then of course many employees have lost their jobs.
Unfortunately, this has happened. For us we also had to reduce the size of the fleet and we had to release people at this time, which was really a very, very difficult thing to do and of course it has been specifically difficult for those people who have been affected . pilot core um to um at half the strength that we had before um and um, it was a very, very difficult process, I think we have handled it in a decent way respecting many different aspects, from seniority to social. aspects before we had basically established who would stay keeping their job and who really had to leave, we had to change a couple of positions, there were people who had already achieved their captaincy within the company and who unfortunately had to take a first officer position, but from what I've heard so far all of those people are especially happy to have kept their jobs and not had to leave and of course we are now focusing a lot on boosting the business again and our flights to see that those colleagues who we had that release where we put a reemployment guarantee we will reemploy these people in the sequence in which we have to release them, yes, but basically they can come back as soon as we do. increase our operations, they are definitely looking forward to it, yes, because I am the lucky one who stayed there in the company and of course I am very happy about it, of course, it was a difficult period and there was a certain point.
There was uncertainty at the beginning, but I think the company handled it very well, so as we were already told, we pretty much stopped all operations and I didn't fly for about three months as most of the pilots were wasting my time. - called isolation period in other countries, so I was not involved with any repatriation flights either, so I basically had time for myself now that, however, everything was fine, so I was contacted from the company, including the unions, so while I was at home, I still had all the information about what was happening in the company, the steps that were being taken.
Our CEO kept us informed weekly. At first, it was even a daily update of information, what was the limit, what did the company do today, what is the plan. for tomorrow, etc., also the unions did their job very well, they intervened and supported us in every possible way, but, of course, that could not be avoided, the process of dismissing some people, but yes, I hope that be a temporary solution, yes, very much. I hope so and that will be achieved. We have very ambitious plans for the future. In terms of not just the increase, we are now adding flights every week.
The passenger numbers are not yet what we really expect. Of course, how can you say they are holding back on their travel plans? At the same time, there is still some uncertainty when it comes to other countries I would have to go to, what the measures are there, what the development of the spread of a virus is or how the numbers are actually contained, etc., so We hope that this will also increase and that we will see numbers growing in the coming years. We have an ambitious plan to take many measures. of deliveries um and um and increase the fleet significantly, so we are actually very very positive and I imagine that this, let's call it, a current transition period is very complicated in terms of management also a little bit for the pilots. in a way that our schedule changes according to external conditions and sometimes neither we nor our CEO know whether the flight that is planned for tomorrow will be allowed to take place or not, of course, in those conditions we are very dynamic operations, we are doing dynamic operations. operations right now and we're ready to have changes to our rosters and uh yeah so we're going with the flow as the situation develops sure of course they're very important and we have a big focus on flights. that we offer in the market um that they actually take place is not always up to us we definitely want to make sure that we are not the ones that cancel any flights um if we publish the um I would say that the announcement that we are starting to take a certain route, then the passenger has to trust that we are going to serve that route as well and that's what we really have a big focus on.
Yes, plans are sometimes not always supported by certain events or states, at least in this. In this initial period of initiation we are reaching much more reliable conditions now that many countries are opening their borders and how to say reducing the measures implemented and that seems to be working very well, for now we do not have the frequencies activated yet. on these routes that we used to have and of course we are not up to date with the entire route network in the way that we have had it and the way that we plan to establish it in the coming months, but we will see. how that plays out and we're very positive and that's going to work out pretty well for us so how did you actually get into aviation?
Well, I guess that wouldn't be honest of me, not to mention that my parents are working. in aviation um so I guess there was some kind of impact from there, but there was never a direct pushing force or even I think a suggestion like hello navy, why wouldn't you like to follow us? I don't remember that at least, but of course, having grown up in that kind of environment, there may have been some kind of interest growing inside me because, from what I remember, of course, I made the decision rationally, so when I was about to finish school or a little before, I was just choosing where to go and where to continue, so I took a list of all the universities we have in Estonia, my home country, and the Estonian Innovation Academy was one of them. the options and I was thinking about what I'm good at and not so good at and I thought I could try it and I think I even remember how I went to my parents to tell them I'm going to try to apply for a pilot position and you're pretty surprised that's how I think I remember which was in a way that my interest grew in it on my own, but of course my parents helped me in every way possible with any information they had etc. so yeah, that was pretty simple and straightforward.
I went to our flight academy in Estonia. I got there and became a pilot, my first job was in Estonia.I flew there as a first officer in a 340 soft for a year and a half and I had so much experience that I arrived in the Baltic in a right seat q 400 from where I transitioned to the left seat and now I'm on the Airbus, well that's what I already we have seen in other videos and so on, but the eclipse fans have some of that, yes, something like this now, we haven't really experienced it in any way, we do remember that at some point they saw.
This is corona time, if you want to call it that, we've seen it, I would say the disruption of air travel with the volcano, which erupted in Iceland quite a few years ago and here, travel, it's gone, it's come to a standstill in actually for quite a long time, I think it was kind of 10 to 12 days, I don't actually remember the exact duration, but something like this is absolutely unprecedented, I think since World War II something like this hasn't happened to them. Yes, we really hope that it goes ahead, Gerhard, if you want, maybe say a few words about your personal experience during this corona time because, as I said for me, as just a captain in the Airbus, I was mainly sitting at home and not very involved with the operation, although I heard everything that's going on, so maybe look inward a little bit, okay, so, yeah, well, specifically management, I don't count myself as part of management, but as chief pilot of Of course, how to put it, I've been involved in a lot of issues, um and specifically in grounding the fleet, um, how to put it, then organizing some very special flights, the repatriation flights, we've done cargo flights to China, even for transport medical supplies.
We have done things like that, we have worked a lot during that time, so the office was quite deserted, only very few people came, we implemented severe measures to ensure that everyone, how to say it, is separated from the other meetings were held almost exclusively on um on a media platform where we haven't really met much in person and if so, then with a great distance um some things that sometimes you have to say you can only exchange if you meet another person that you know or in a specific room where you have to have other tools available, but we have been working on different things and first of all, how to continue, that was of course the main question and of course no one really.
I knew how it was going to continue there were predictions, I would say visions of how this would continue, of course, there were certain dependencies and the states had also closed their borders, they had how to say, they ruled out any international traffic, whether by bus or by car. plane, um, what else could you have? So with that, of course, there were a lot of things to say, which kept us going. land and made us say or restrict ourselves to operating flights with a special permit which were, for example, these repatriation flights and then, of course, from the first moment we wanted to prepare and be prepared for what could come, different scenarios and, for Of course, the most positive ones.
One is that we just decently scale up the way we're doing it now, ensuring that not only our passengers feel safe, but of course our crew members do as well. Let's say we are taken care of, we are sitting in an environment where social distancing, of course, is quite limited, the space between us is always the same, at least here in the flight deck, now we can, how to say, expand it or increase the distance when we walk somewhere when we have to say meet in the meeting room, we could do that and we have done that, we saw all those marks in the meeting room, um before and um, so we have, we have and we have put measures in place that ensures that we have this distancing and that we wash our hands and disinfect them that we reflect the masks where they are necessary and where they are useful and um yes, we have tested among them the people who came to work and that we had limited, so most of our office staff were sent home. um we very quickly implemented measures to ensure that they can work from home everyone got their electronic media um and um.
Then we were able to set it up and attend daily meetings on these media platforms, so it worked very, very well. It's amazing how quickly we were able to adopt it in a great way and of course you learn to say certain things. For the future, is it really necessary to call office workers and let them work daily in the office? Can we do more from home and just come do some essential things on certain days? Yes, maybe I would add from For my part, not even as an employee of the Baltic but of the general public, but I feel very lucky to have spent that period in the Baltic states, yes, I spent it in Estonia because the number of infections was relatively low and I think that was definitely, a good point, that was.
The density of people outside is very low in our countries, so that helped to stop that or limit the spread of the infection and people eased up in all countries the regulations and everything was quite calm and relaxed. I would say yes, there were no harsh measures. implemented in addition to social distancing, closing certain events, of course, and public places, and Latvia, of course, was one of the first countries in Europe to completely close the borders and with that it did a very good job, really yes, absolute infection . Yes, I really have to say that we have been very lucky in our countries and the spread has been very low and, you know, that has helped a lot.
Yes, and as I mentioned, a lot of work from home. Of course, people get their IT solutions, they get their computers, they get their laptops and they can work from home. Maybe we should also inform Eclipse fans that we have no intention of working from home in the future, neither you nor I. We won't be sitting with just the sidestick at home any time soon, not in the near future, although this is all fly-by-wire and there are no plans to put it on a computer yet and, how to put it, operate from the ground while passengers are. fly here, so it's pretty good that we can enjoy this, actually yes, but it's good to see that everything is working very well, including the measures that we have implemented for our employees and for the passengers of course, and that's basically the things on which we have been working intensely during those months in which we have been mainly on the ground, of course, unfortunately it had to do, of course, also with the liberation of people, where we met them all when they came to say Goodbye and we put a big emphasis that we are doing everything we can to get this airline back to growth and to be able to re-employ these people or at least offer them new employment if they want to return. released because of this crisis situation and not because we are not happy with their work and I think it is something very important to mention also, yes, those are our colleagues and I think they completely understand it and they are already looking.
I really want to get back to the company, yes, absolutely, because even with the three months I was in the field, I really miss that. I missed those views. I lost his job. I miss those small talks on the flight deck. Yes, it's true, absolutely. Yeah, it's a good thing to have that back. Yes, it has also become very quiet at the airport and you always have the feeling that something is wrong, although we are very happy if we say that we can produce less noise in the airport neighborhood and it is always a very sensitive thing.
We have already done this by introducing this aircraft that has a significantly lower noise footprint than any other model you may encounter approaching or leaving our airport. Since this is the most modern single-aisle airliner on the market, it has significantly lower noise. footprint too and that makes a denser difference, but I still miss some kind of noise in the end, well, every day it will be more and more, yes, noisy, yes, you are right, yes, hello, my name is ivars, I am a team cabin crew. leader a supervisor in the company and I have been working for five years today we have a flight to Dublin that takes two hours and 40 minutes to arrive and the same time on the way back today we are on a very special plane with a Latvian livery the national flag, which you can also see here on my little plane, this was made for Latvia's 100th birthday.
We also have two planes with a Lithuanian flag and an Estonian flag, so people are usually very excited to board. Those planes, especially, this pandemic came, we knew of course, and it was expected, but I guess no one thought that it would bring such a lockdown around the world and, in fact, we were the first company to stop our flights, we were the first. and now we are slowly resuming them. I think most of our colleagues, I would say they all like it, it doesn't matter if they are working in the office, they are technicians, cabin crew or pilots, they are really happy to come back to work to fly again. and everyone truly comes to work with a smile on their face and a pride in their hearts on board.

We're reaching the coast of the UK and I think maybe it's time. move forward to get some time, some fresh weather and, um, get ready for approach, so I can, if you want, I can use the acres to get some time, so runway 2 8 on the Dublin runway is wet. , so it was obviously raining there. There are several taxiways closed, yes the ones we saw in the north, they are already remodeling the airport there in the government, yes, I will come back to that a little later, I will just take the weather at 3208 knots, it is still raining right now . clouds 12 degrees and we expect 53.5 tons for landing, yes, I think we have our plan for Bucks Buxo, an X-ray arrival, yes, the one I have here, which should be plates 10-2 the same, so just I continue with the information flow, yes.
Yes, mainly runway one, six, three, four is closed, yes, except for takeoffs and landings, at least, and um, yes, as you mentioned, all those little intersections that are near that runway are close, the part Nearest north is closed, one hotel, one whiskey, one whiskey two. He also mentions that it is close to Sierra to Alfa, so if we land on runway two eight, then we can use a high speed exit zero five four zero six and through Sierra I think we go to the runway and cross it. track and if alpha one is really closed, then we use bravo two, yeah, yeah, and from then on I think we can foxtrot all the way to the north, yeah, yeah, that's the most likely thing we're going to get and then we'll go in probably through a link. for link five somewhere above and for the rest, if you are ready to follow me, sure at any time, okay, then I start with the route we planned for a boxer, an X-ray arrival that is configured in FMS, find that point, yes, then. starts from here uh box so we have maximum speed uh uh two five zero we have to be below flight level one hundred that's a restriction there autis then kiraf max p 230 at flight level eight zero and then we go uh kogaks in the same restriction supply and the normal lot plus maximum 180 above three thousand um, so the general speed restriction uh 250 below flight level 100 we come from the side with the msa 2400 and there is a small part south of msa yes, so from there we go.
The ils two eight runway is in use as you mentioned, it is a wet runway, so I will check the arrival details. The final track frequency of ls triple one three five is two seven eight two seven uh nine on the graph, so there is a degree of difference. Yes, yes, we have a track threshold elevation of 202 and we start many more intermediate fixes at 3 000. We could send 2 500 for maximum. From there on with a 3 degree glide slope, we descend to the minimum 410 that is selected and borrowed in case of turning around. go straight up to aim a garnet at a maximum of 3000 feet, let me check it here, show the gun at 3000 feet or less and then turn right with a maximum speed of two to zero to join the incoming radial 278 from Dublin vor and climb 5000 feet, so that's on fms. we can use lnf to turn around so that's all I can say from the table and we check our performance so you also calculated that yes safe with track coefficient code 5, climate is inserted, automatic brakes, medium flaps 4 for landing deck protection stays on auto and I'll use autothrottle to land and I get this vref speed of one three four and I'm going around one four zero and one fivezero speeds are selected, that's exactly what I have too, okay?
I have a cool fifteen fifty five percent operational learning instance, yes, for the decent weights and with the same maximum transition flight level seven eight is six, the zero stabilization gate is standard 1000, the lift is 200, so we could use it okay to press the altimeters, sure, so after landing, as we discussed, we are going to dislodge to the correct sierra 5 or 06 that saw and, as reported before, with all the restrictions according to the norton, yes, yes, yes, so yes, the plane is still good, there are no special offers that I can remember not, and there is no special procedure like in some airports where we would have to report that we do not have any health cases suspect on board or something, so no, there's nothing additional we can do, yeah, for us, yeah.
We also have an alternative, it's Shannon. We need nineteen hundred to go and we have a tank ring on the way back and it shows that we have fuel on the way back. We also have a fairly high amount of fuel. Yes cool. So if you don't have anything to add, then from my side the briefing is complete, great, you can start the checklist submission or drop down and zoom in on the checklist, um, so ant, I always want to say, I'll jump when I'm ready, we'll go down three threes forty-five six example three. three zero established one ready excellent three three series verified in the fms established minimum uh 410 configured the automatic brake medium is uh verified with the high ebb wing and exit medium excellent the apartment completed an open element of the anti-icing wing yes, I think we'll stun him about 10 miles from now and send him all the correct information for the terrain.
Yes, that is also one of the measures very well implemented by the company to decrease the amount of interaction with people on the ground, so we have a system. data leak system on the plane with which we already notify the ground service at the destination in advance if we need something and so for today's flight, for example, no refueling is needed and they know that no refueling is required and I hope Don't come to the plane. You are absolutely right, we are in earlier times of course, you would even appreciate that contact with the local staff, they would come on board, they would enter the flight deck, they would talk to us, we would have a small talk, a brief exchange on less essential information, etc., and all of that now happens through data, it is the right way to do it, without a doubt, as they say, to limit any possible spread, it is very, very important, that we do not take anything home, we bring it to our team. center and then how to say a week later we have several flights that could no longer operate because we may have to stay home or because you are sick or whatever, in that it refers to very, very important measures and um and it's unfortunate, but I think that I started my descent excellent good vertical speed perfect london baltic six alpha one goes for three three zero level 2 9 s 0 voltage 6 foreign so it runs noise airport six alpha one contact scottish one two eight decimal zero five five bye one two eight zero five four voltage six over one scotch good morning one voltage six alpha one flood down or two nine here send an email to paxo they take you to alpha a driver scotch one easy yes and I go to the manual speed at 50 and I turn on the automatic throttle to hold it at idle to slow down a little because you could expect the turbulence short six alpha a holding altitude three thousand feet q and h and one zero one four clear towards us approaching two sending three thousand feet one zero one four clear the rls two of yo i will take six or four three thousand one zero one four and we are authorized for less once you have verified four center crossings we clear the rns exactly and three thousand have been verified yes of course it is one of the advantages now with this low amount of traffic are basically shortcuts, um, anywhere, yes, direct number one, high speed, absolutely disconnected, checked enough, so I'll use the spoilers a little bit to slow down in the turbulence and maintain the correct vertical. okay select flap one flip one select and we're ready for approach so we approach from s1 localizer one glideshop armed marked select it all the crazy one slowed down the vertical speed to capture the glide thousand to go one zero one four let's check with one two one four heading 279 light change for sure and uh 5000 to turn around as final turn perfect altitude I think I see a slight rainbow to the left yes, I also saw that about x6 alpha one fully established at 10 miles good morning 6001 fully established rs280 tonight six for one good morning surface one three three zero degrees seven knots how many two eight clear pluto and two a double take six over one we are ready to land checked can I select low gear flat checked that is, can you do a flat four list of atlantic plane verification four selected learning checklist b4 104 passing 2020 set 1014 verified to indicate that it is okay to approach, this will qualify the final speed one three nine and two autopilot verified good plus one hundred minimum contacts with chip 100 50 30 20 10. theater cr5 and siri approximately x604 zero five and zero copied the right side is free the left is free air ball six six alpha one you can potentially yield to clear the acr traffic in s4 contact now one two one fight a death goodbye we will give way to the uh, vacating adr and we will communicate now one by one, okay, giving way to atr exactly, so it's still about the land on the radio that can't be seen and yes, we can do it in the meantime after landing, sure right here, I'll start the fpu crowd good morning baltic six alpha one we're in sierra we'll give way to a landing and we'll vacate atr in alright alright uh we'll continue in sierra whiskey two whiskey three around six now it's through the clouds so yeah, a little bit also enthusiastic, okay, so whiskey 2 is partially open, obviously until whiskey 3, where we turn left and there we cross the track too slowly.
Next up is whiskey, yeah, and he left the excellent chain at a time when there's not a lot of traffic, you see all those planes here. just crazy, the right side is free, the left is still free and we're crossing runway one, six on the left, the other side the runway itself is closed, so, yeah, we sure are, we just got realize that thank you, it's the main graph with the parking lots, instant karma, exactly, yes. So before I leave the creek and the apron 4 and Romeo 1-1 311, so I continue to the right, the left rope, so the apron is four, yeah, and we basically have the support inside, you can see it, it's because that fuel. truck we didn't request so I go left here left to chain yes and I see the marshaller so you can turn off the tax taxi light okay the handbrake is on and we can do the turn off checklist shutdown checklist do not divert IP address or my control test is not required this complete thank you
