Painting a GIANT Bunny?!

Apr 20, 2024
Hi, it's me, so I'm going to start this video by admitting failure. I have a confession, a deep, dark confession, oh God, last year I made a video decorating eggs and it was like my Easter themed video. I made it around Easter. I also said I would do it again this Easter and some of you remember, you remembered that and started reminding me that you had to do the Easter thing again, you said you wouldn't let us down. I saw the reminders. I did it. I said myself, oh, they remembered very well, you know what I'm not going to do, but they'll be fine because I have an alternative idea for an Easter video this year, so I'm still going to make an Easter video and I feel like this It's even better than the eggs.

Maybe next year I'll make the eggs. They're going to be very happy with what I'm going to do this Easter. They're not even going to care. They're going to forget the eggs. Easter ended well. There's no Easter video. No. there are eggs there is no fun Easter special surprise things didn't go as planned the problem is what was the problem Oh blob Universe I was originally going to make the video I'm making today, which is loosely Easter themed, I was going to make this before the start of my Blob Universe series, but you all were stressing me out.

More Interesting Facts About,

painting a giant bunny...

I was getting threats like in every video, like you have to go back to the Blob Universe or else, I really don't know what. Or it means I think it's mostly a joke, but it still stressed me out, we have to move the Blob Universe videos sooner because some people are losing their minds here and they ended up taking me so long that I didn't have time to film. I edited my Easter video in time for Easter, so here I sit making an Easter video several weeks after Easter. I'm not proud of it. That's one explanation why no one asked for information relevant to today.

I'm still going to make the video. I wanted to do it for Easter, it's really not that specific of an Easter theme, so I still feel like I can do it. If you watch my unboxing videos, you might remember the one where someone sent me

giant

paper mache bunnies. Are they ringing any bells? I'm not sure what I was going to do with these, honestly they are huge. Also, I'm not, I'm not super inspired by them, they don't have that round cuteness that I normally clearly gravitate toward, these are Easter decorations, okay? He is holding a basket of Easter eggs, let's re-identify him as these popular Easter Bunnies, no longer because they are so big.

I'm going to start with one of them if we really love how this turns out and goes as planned. I'll come back for you. I have a clearer vision for her than for him, which means I panicked because I broke it. Did I break you? I'm so sorry, he's fine, just go and put him on the other side of the room, no. no no no no not true she's adorable I don't want to insult you I think you're cool but you're not good enough I want to change the shape drastically I think the only way to do it is to sculpt in The thing is she's very big and she's also very light .
I don't know how to show how light she is, but she is very light. I can't really use my very heavy air dry clay that I normally use with it. I'm just tilting all kinds of shapes boom, does anyone recognize this cube recently? I did an art on things to make on your board video and talked about how I bought this whole cube of air dry clay and found that it doesn't hold detail very well and just doesn't hold its shape well enough to use for most of my projects, so I came up with this strange idea: use it all and get rid of it a couple of weeks after doing it, I realized I needed it. some very light clay to sculpt into this huge

bunny

and I need a lot of it, perfect, wait a second.
I used most of it on that stupid clay paint, so I had to buy another bucket. I went from trying to get rid of these things. to buy more why is this bucket exploding, oh my god, there's like a whole corner that's dried up. This thing is really the worst, it better be worth it. My plan is to use these cubes, a light and very spongy clay to sculpt it. I'm very excited about this idea I hope I don't regret it she reminds me of someone the shape of her dress the way she has her hands her royalty queen dona queen dona is a softie that I painted a long time ago A while ago, at this point, I became the Donut Queen once.
I love this character, however, she's usually left out of different projects I do simply because she's the only human character I've done that I really like, she just seems nice. It's weird being the only human being, so it's actually on my list of ideal art to turn the Dut Queen design into an animal design, so that's what I'm going to do today to make this happen. This will need a lot of sculpting. above and I'm a little nervous about it at no time like the present I'm standing let me start sculpting this is all the clay I have left literally can't you see this is all the clay I have I'm gone after using most of it on that wonderful little canvas.
Oh, this is a great experience. The goo is simply legendary. It's very fun to play with her. Even though she is wearing a Pilgrim style dress, we need her to be a queen. Going from peasant to royalty is a big leap for her. I want to soften the bottom of her apron to make it into a great party dress. It's very difficult to work with these things. She just smoothes out the bottom of it. Make it look like the apron never existed. Now whoever she is. She sent me this. I did some things to him. I definitely see white paint drips.
There are also lines drawn in pencil. Someone had a plan for her and, um, that was abandoned. Clay is very difficult to soften. These edges are rough, rough, rough, rough, rough. the edges just don't want to smooth out all the way, it's going to look a little clumpy, forgive me, I feel like there's a lot of Queen appeal actually in her hair, that color gradient in her hair, but this

bunny

has no hair. and I'm not going to put fur on a bunny. I have to figure out how to incorporate this into this design without it being part of the hair.
I literally spent like 20 minutes straightening this or trying to, but whatever you can. Look, I've smoothed out her dress to make it more like the shape of a ball gown. I would like it to be more flared for a big ball gown, but that's going to require so much clay that I don't know if I want it. To put as much Clay into this next, I'm going to work on her donut sleeves. Queen is wearing little things with puffed sleeves. She currently has long sleeves, so I'm going to smooth out the sleeve and then make a puff on top of it.
She's going to have very thick arms. How big a puff do we want her to be? That is cute. The water helps a little but also makes the clay quite slimy. I'm doing it for you, girl. Actually, it's for her, but you will be her. I have a nice puffed sleeve there. I just have to soften her hand so it looks like there's no sleeve. Leave it there. Well, here we go while she was doing this. I realized my plan in my confused little Noggin was to grab a donut. and have her holding it, what I didn't think about is that this big fat bouquet is in the way she's not going to stay there, what do I do?
Can I cut it? I think this is like paper mache. You should be able to cut it. oh god H hi hi we have a small saw that I could handle without hurting myself what did you bring me I have a couple of options I don't know if they are exactly oh my god why are they so dirty what is this e ok So this is what I have to cut, right? why are you looking at me like that? What about sandpaper? Sandpaper to remove all this. Oh, take the whole ball. Yes, I want to remove all of this.
Because it's funny? I would try removing the drywall. This one no, no, I can't do this, why do you need the lump removed? Because I need to turn her into Queen Dut and she needs to hold a donut, but the donut won't go there unless she takes the lump off of it. Do you have soft hands? What is this? What is this? What is this? to cut Jello-O I think metal, it's not metal, okay, here we go Bo, how are you going to fill the H? Wait a second, you're saying that? Yes, it's going to be a huge hole, what a mess and all the crumbs are sticking to the clay.
I have done. I need to clean all this dust. It definitely would have been better to do this. The first mistakes were made. Now I have to deal with this problem. Jordan suggested covering the hole with duct tape. I actually like that idea, oh, okay, let's see, we just patch that up nice and easy, there we go, honey, you're okay, now I'm going to take the protector and just put it on there, this might actually work. I'm going to cover this with some clay so it's not so egregious to secure it in place. I think I'm going to use hot glue to spread it around.
I only have my head left. The shapes are quite pointy and just not. like that rounded cuteness I usually look for, that was stupid. I'm going to try to just round the shape of the face a little bit. I've spent another 20 or 30 minutes smoothing that section and it's not smooth. I think we are. I'll just have to accept that the lumps are part of it. Where is your neck? The paint job will determine how good it looks. This could go very wrong. The last thing I need to create is the top headdress. She has a crown. which I completely forgot.
I'm going to have to try to sculpt it and the dut on top. I have so many soft Donuts. I just wanted to use one of these. I'm trying to save myself some sculpting. I'm going to cut. this idiot, let's see if it fits, it works, you know, I think it works, oh, cool down my hot glue gun, damn it, I'm going to let my gun heat up in the meantime, I'll start sculpting this stupid crown. fortunately her crown is really simplistic. I'm going to keep it like this, something like that. I mean it's kind of cute, it's kind of sad that you can't see her bunny ears from the front, you can't even tell she's a bunny she's not a bunny she's a bunny she's not a bunny this smells smart like this I'm going to secure this dut I think the sculpture is really complete oh my god it's so messy I hope the paint job is good to cover that at this point I have to wait for the clay to dry and this clay takes an unpleasantly long time long to dry so I'll have to leave this for several days and repaint and I'm so scared I've done what I can do for now hey I'm back it's been a few days she's still alive.
Fun fact, I actually had to visit her at night, well, I didn't have to, but I did it. Every once in a while after the babies go to bed I come in here and check what's going on, you know, when I checked this in the middle of the night, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of the little bumps had softened, I mean. Don't get me wrong, the lumps are still there, they've just shrunk a little, it had also completely shrunk, all the work I did on the dress was basically undone. I frantically spread another layer of very thick clay on top. her dress and it seems to have worked.
I'm actually relatively happy. The only thing I hate about him is her ears. I feel like it would be so much cuter if you could. It's kind of a surprise, you know? What is that strange looking person? No, it's a surprise from Bunny Spes. Today I'm going to focus on

painting

this. I'm wearing clothes to paint. I'm ready. I have selected colors that are reminiscent of the original Dut Queen. I also made a small sketch. on my iPad of how I want it to look and it's scary the sketch is scary I guess it's time, it's time.
I'm going to start with a nice white layer and this is going to be really, really boring. You're just going to speed this up, not me. I wish I had the power to speed up the

painting

. Actually, I'm going to paint at the same pace as I always do, but you're going to speed this up. Okay, his dress is white. and it was not so magical and spectacular. I'm going to keep the little pink ombre that's on the original Queen dut so it appears to be the right color, paint in that pink, the pink trim around the bottom of the dress that involved blending it all together.
Which took some time, but here we go, little one. I'm going to move on. I technically used squishies here to preserve the squishability. I should use fabric paint on them, but I'm using acrylic and this is going to hurt me a little, but I really don't want to worry about having to match an acrylic color to a fabric paint color, so I'll use the same paint for everything . I used soft ones, but they're actually not too soft. there I'm done, I'm not going to crush them anymore like for her I made her skin color and donut color, the same Dut Queen bunny will have the same fur color and donut color, so I'm going to do all that, okay, I have your nice Dut SL skin color, so I'm going to start filling in the base layer of everything.
Her little puffed sleeves are the same pink as the bottom of her dress, the original Dut Queen dress it actually is. completely white, but I think for her I'm also going to apply some of her hair colors on the top of her dress, so it will be slightly different but it will have the same vibe, so there was a lot of mixing to do. many, many touch ups, many paints in small cracks, my favorite cracks, but I cleaned them up, added gold details, boom, here she is and yes, I'm in a different outfit, it's the next day, thisIt's the third day.
I need to finish this today, but so many things are bothering me and I'm trying to let them go. Oh, I never touch that up. There are so many lumps and I don't know which side to be on. You're in my way all the time. He has a gift that is for I'm sure I don't know, his chest looks a little strange because it's still kind of sticking out, why is his butt like that? Really, all that's left to do is start filling in the details. It's got sprinkles all over the dress so I'm just going to put them on the sprinkles they're done I think I need to focus on this dut this is my last bit of white paint I hope it's enough to do what I need to do here , well that's getting a little cuter, all I have is a donut decoration. on the face I'm going to go ahead and do that feels like a really bad makeup artist are you okay that's driving me crazy can you stop oh also his ears I think I want to do some little inner ears yeah I just licked his boom. sparks I have to make this face now I'm going to need a pencil Hello honey, how does your face look?
The queen has a little smile for her a real smile, that's my real smile I was born to be royal a hint of Joy but not too much being Queen is a lot of responsibility she looks weird oh no I'm not going to try well I just need to draw this face you know what I don't like the smile I think he needs to be serious, take this seriously, it's not a joke, it's royalty, if I've ever seen it, it has a little fur drawn on its forehead, sometimes I add that and then people He says it looks like a unibrow, although it is not a unibrow.
It's supposed to be like a little hair, it's on the forehead, it's not between the eyebrows, I don't see the unibrow, here we go, honey, are you okay? You're sad? It seems like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, wait. Did that come here on purpose? You have something on your face. The last thing I need to do is drizzle on his ass. Okay, all the donut queen's colors of hers are present in the drizzle. She lives. She is Dut. Queen of donuts. She is. a bunny now I feel like I just finished this I usually have time to process it before commenting I don't really know what I think about it yet I think I like it I think there are a lot of things wrong with it but I also think I could probably spend 6 months of my life just touching up all the little cracks in this.
I don't think I want to do that. I think it's over now. I think I should stop saying. I think that's the most important thing. What bothers me is the shape of the chest, I honestly don't know if I really could have improved it given how much I had to work on, it doesn't actually look like she's holding that donut, it looks like she's just floating there. everything is a little strange. I'm happy with the overall vibe of this. I'll definitely be bringing Bunny Donut Queen back in future projects and she might look even better when she brings her back because I'm going to fix some things I spent three dollars on.
Long days with this girl, we became very close and close during that time, but I also hate you, thank you very much for watching and I will see you next Friday, bye.
