We get the vinegar from Costco, we usually buy a giant bottle because we use it for so many different things and what it does is it helps clean the products of any dirt, it also helps prevent mold from growing on them and even though we do. quick

ly if you don't store them. correctly, so one of my favorite ways to store things like green onions is to store them in the plastic bag they come in and then fill them with water and pop them in the refrigerator to keep them alive for much longer. or you can also fill some glass jars with water and then store them like this on your counter, although if you tend to keep your house a little warm they may not last long on your counter, you may want to keep them. in the refrigerator and you can cut them when you need them.

Another thing that also takes a lot of time when it comes to cooking is peeling the garlic and chopping it, so I like to do all that in advance and a little trick that mom taught me. What I do with garlic is I preserve it in olive oil and if you take the individual pieces of garlic and shake them in a jar very vigorously, it will make them very easy to peel and you won't have to. grind them up so that when you put them in olive oil, you can keep them in the refrigerator for about three or four days and you can use them when you need them and they won't go bad if you want your spices. so it will last you more than a week and I would recommend freezing them and a really easy way to do this is to just take an ice cube tray and chop up all the spices that you want to keep, you can mix them up if you want.
You can have garlic and parsley in one, maybe cilantro and green onions and another, and then just fill the rest of the ice, follow with extra virgin olive oil and then you can freeze it and they'll stay good for two or three months. your freezer and then you can throw it in your hot pan when you're ready to use it and my last favorite way to preserve vegetables is to pickle them. I have my own brew that I love right now, it's just apple cider. vinegar, maple syrup, a little bit of cayenne pepper and then salt seriously so good you basically just cut up any vegetable I like red onion and then let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours and you can eat this.
Of course, if you want, you can add it to your food, to your salad, it's so good. I definitely think you should do what works for you in your family when it comes to

meal

prepping. I have tried it by dividing all my nails. in the past and while it worked it was a lot of work in advance and now with the toddler I don't have time to do that so I do things a little differently now I still like to fully cook some items in advance especially those that take a long time When cooked, like rice with quinoa, without sauce, they store well in the refrigerator for three to five days, which is great.
One thing I've started doing when it comes to cooking things that require liquid is that using bone broth instead of just regular water will not only add extra flavor to your dishes but it also adds a lot more nutrients. Whoever wanted it, it would be a complete meal. and on its own I find that things like fish and chicken don't take long to cook, what takes a long time is preparing the marinade, so I make whatever I can find. I already have it premixed and just put it in a jar. I can serve it with any salad I have prepared. During the week, our favorite dish for lunch is usually salad, so I like to make sure we have lots of options for our salads so we don't get tired of them, so one of the things I love to prepare is a fruit and vegetable . salsa I really just change it up depending on what I bought that week, sometimes I make mango salsa here.

I also make sure I have other options that don't have any kind of vinegar just so they're a little more versatile and I can actually eat them all day long if I want if I don't want to eat them in a salad so this is one of my go-tos. favorites, which is just tomatoes and mozzarella.
I'll add a little basil. I also make sure. have a lot of ingredients on hand and I like to store them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh for much longer. I like to save things like nuts, sliced almonds, and cashews and keeping them in an airtight jar makes them last much longer, which I really appreciate if you guys have never made your own dressing at home or don't know where to start, you feel like it's overwhelming. , all you have to remember is the base of the dressing, which is basically one part active and two parts oil, so in this case the active is my balsamic vinegar and I'm using 1/4 cup and then for the oil I'm using extra virgin olive oil and I'm using half a cup of that, you can increase it from there.
You can add salt and pepper, you can add Dijon mustard, garlic, onion, have fun with this if you don't have any type of vinegar.
