May 31, 2021
Hey guys, what's up? He's ready for the show as soon as the ladies get up. I'm back here at Tampa Honda and boy oh boy do we have the one you've been asking for. This is an updated and updated

2021

Honda Accord. This is the top Turing model, but it is also, as you can see, appearing in a new color for the Accord palette, this is the Sonic Pearl Gray first seen on the Honda Civic Type R, but before we get into this midsize sedan, let's talk about what's going on here, so the 11th generation Honda Accord is very close as a way to bridge the gap between the 10th generation and the 11th generation.

Honda decided to make some updates and definitely bring some additional touches to the 10th generation of the Accord. It's been around since 1976, if you can believe it, it's been featured in the Top 10 Cars and Drivers Vehicles, Top 10 Vehicles, over 33 times and with this

2021

you're going to get some very new tech inside, but I'm also going to get that civic engine. detuned type r and that 10-speed automatic, so let's go ahead and dig in and find out if the 2021

honda

accord

is the ultimate midsize sedan, especially when you look at the competition, the mazda 6, the hyundai sonata and of course, that new kia k5 let's go ahead and dive in so right off the bat the color I think Sonic Gray Pearl really fits the lines and seems to be a popular color tone on a lot of different vehicles at the front of the business.

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm going to look at an improved housing and headlight design now. I know a lot of people said they were missing the jewel LED array, but these LED headlights that are standard on all models are actually brighter and they did that on purpose because that was one area when you looked at the highway institute safety rating which was where they themselves were being rejected by the highway safety institute because of the lighting, but you have your LED daytime running lamp that rotates by itself and you work your way. down below this is all revamped for 2021 you'll have a nice tasteful side air curtain that's actually functional LED fog lights and just a little bit of gloss black nothing too crazy and I love the way they extended it and the they made it drip completely.

All the way, here you can see how the front fascia extends downwards, providing many different design elements and overall still looking fresh even though it's been a few years since the 10th generation came out, now that we find the grill. is the new talking point this is all redesigned for 2021 the front grille area so you can see how we still have the chrome brow running across the top you have your chrome

honda

badge and remember when I say chrome it just I'm talking about the shiny shiny stuff, it's made of plastic, okay, it's not chrome, but you get a nice chrome finish, horizontal, clean, all the different levels of design all the way, they even took Honda's e-sensing technology.

They even moved it a little further back, so it wasn't right in your face as soon as you saw the front of the vehicle, but I love the way you notice how it drops, has a little lip spoiler area, and then curves up. , but that's your whole new 2021 nose definitely put in the comments section what you think about that grill now, when we get on the hood, everything else will be the same, you have a nice rise that goes to the windshield and then super clean going out towards the a -pillar remember that this generation was about shaking the tree the tree of boring design the ninth generation many people referred to it as refrigerator it was reliable it did what it was supposed to do but it still lacked looks 10th generation i I think they did a great job on the grille area and this color really makes me come around the corner.
Here's your new wheel and tire setup, so you'll have this machined aluminum finish with a little bit of gloss black. This is a 19 inch wheel like before, but they changed the style, it will be 235 on the 40 series sidewall wide, remember it's still front wheel drive, 10 speed automatic transmission, but I think it actually works very well on comparison to the older

touring

design of that swivel blade, especially with our particular color that we have here, but as we go down the side we still have the same high belt line, a little bit of chrome trim on the door handles , I like the chrome trim along the lower sill and this notch in the body line, which I like.
What I don't like is coming back here when we get to the back, but let me show you that you still have the chrome trim of the standard size sunroof right at the top and I think one of my favorite things that Honda does is that they widen it As you get to the back, it's a good size rear quarter window and then as we get closer to the back, this is the only thing I really don't fall in love with. I wish they had left the chrome trim down there, they spread it all out. the way back, I'm going to do a zonk, that's too, too heavy, but other than that big flow coming from behind, from front to back, it

would

have been nice in the Turing fit, since this is the top level to have a nice spoiler on the trunk lid, whether gloss black or color matching, you have your badge okay and then they didn't redesign the stapler tail lights, this is something that will now be saved for the 11th generation.
We unfold, you've got your stylish brushed aluminum finish rings, there's a functional exhaust on both sides. I like the way they took this flat black and just ran through it, it gives this bottom a nice definition and touch. You have that Honda badge, your two liter. The turbo

touring

trim is nice and wide from the rear, but as we move forward, let's open the hood and look at the heart of this 2021 deal. Alright guys, we've got the center popped. This is the power plant I

would

choose if I bought a Honda. agree to a new deal 2021 this is exactly the way I would go, I would just go all in with the Touring model route because you will get that turbocharged 2 liter inline four cylinder engine, remember it is detuned from the Type R so It's 252 horsepower 273 pound-feet of torque It's mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission Very quick and smooth shifting transmission I know some people are upset that they got rid of the six-speed manual transmission, guess what, no one was buying, so if you're not buying it Then that's why they ended up removing it, but the 10 speed shifts are so smooth they'll give you a 60 time 5.5 seconds.
The quarter mile will go to 14.1 seconds. The maximum speed is governed by 125 miles per hour and in the curve. 2 liter turbo version, you're looking at 25 in the city 34 on the highway. I think one of the things I always like to point out with the Turing version is that it has adaptive dampers, so what that means is when you get into the different one. modes, it actually adjusts the compression and rebound of the suspension to really give you the optimized handling that you expect from your deal and what's even more fascinating is that this car on the Virginia International Track and the Turing tune is four seconds per lap faster than the toyota camry trd who remember they built that camry trd to be a high performance vehicle on the track this is faster the zonkdo isn't perfect i know you're probably saying well joe it must be perfect it's not close but not perfect you have a rod attachment, I wish at least on the Touring version they offered hydraulic struts on the hood, but very very clean under the hood engine compartment, a nice tasteful cover and then you could clearly see the heat shield because That's where the turbocharger is located right at the front. from the engine bay, which is pretty cool just to look at, but as we move on, let's get to the even more important part, it's not just about the paint, it's definitely not just about the performance, let's go inside and see what's in store for us . 2021 Agreement on tour, alright guys, we're into the renewed 2021 Agreement with that beautiful sonic pearl gray color that I've been talking about throughout this review.
If I were to get a Honda Accord, a new Honda Accord, this would be exactly the way I would go with the trim color and I know you're at that point where you're like, well, Joe, if you're just going to get it this way, how much does it cost? Well, before I let the cat out of the bag, just know that there are an extra 500 in each version added to the price of the deal for 2021, but the good news is that you will get more standard features, so that's one of the reasons for those who did it and then it's another thing if you don't do it.
If you like or want a Touring model, there are actually six different models, so they really make a deal for everyone except the people who want the manual, but they gave you that opportunity. I would have gone with the manual, but since I can't get a manual, this is the way. I would do it. I'm ready to let the cat out of the bag since you've been patient. Thank you for being patient and not falling asleep. MSRP here is 38,000 for this touring model exactly as you see it. option was removed, let's see what you get for the money for the door panels.
Now I love what they've done with the dark material. Every Honda on tour we've featured on Radies Rides has been cream, I even like the darker interior color. The wood trim is tasteful, not too flashy, a little bit of silver goes right to the door handle, it's so smooth and those armrests have a lot of room, plus they're soft and flexible and have some nice white contrast stitching, the only problem is the door. pocket, if you're going to go to chipotle, you're going to have to stick to maybe a couple of tacos because if you try to get a burrito there, you're going to get guacamole and sour cream everywhere, but you do it.
We have a nice area for a big bottle of Dr Pepper to wash it all down. We get to the board. Soft touch material. You can see how they use that decoration with good taste. The silver trim with the wood looks great and then guess what we have some new touches. For 20 21 you'll get that eight-inch infotainment system and I like the size of it. I know some people are still on the fence about iPad-style screens, but the way they have them angled toward the windshield is actually designed for ease of use. of use and you can see that you don't have to reach for it it's a one, two, three thing, of course, it's touch screen, you have navigation in the rotating trim, new for 2021, get ready for this wireless apple carplay, wireless android auto and, Of course, you will still have your wireless charging so you have all the wireless technology you want on your 2021 Accord tour.
I'll turn it the other way around. There's your rearview camera. You have a track record that is really nice and another thing I like. It's how easy it is to change camera angles on some vehicles, it's like you have to knock on a special door or be part of the VIP club here, it's really simple and the good news is that the engineers do some glare-free magic. on the screen and I have the sunroof open right now the sun visor is open no glare on the screen you have your bright red when it's working start stop button easy to ventilate and heat this is another reason why you would know cough up the extra money for the Turing is that you'll get ventilated seats, heated seats, of course, heated steering wheel.
Another thing I love about the Accord more than the Camry or even the Mazda6, which I really love. The mazda6 is the knobs. I have this great click on them and they feel really solid and I feel like the little things like this that you're going to touch every day are what are going to increase the enjoyment of driving your Honda Accord, everything flows really well, flat, black, open. That, look at Open Sesame, you have your wireless charging, two USBs and one 12 volt, so they cover you with connectivity. I like the flat black, no fingerprints. Here's your push-button transmission for that 10-speed automatic.
You have the economy so you can. go back to economics class your senior year of high school see if you can pass it again no this just gives you better fuel economy but this is my button right here you press the one that adjusts everything with the vehicle including the shocks and me . We'll talk more about that when you get to the driver's side. Two nice big cup holders. Tasteful on the keychain. Nothing too big. Nothing too small. It won't stop you from having children if it pokes you in the groin, so that's good news. you have remote start, put it back here, nice, flat and wide on the armrest, the only problem is it's not the smoothest, but it's nice and wide, and look when you open it, you have a removable party tray, planters, peanuts, macadamia nuts, walnuts, even if I eat Brazil nuts, uh, which I don't like very much, but I love macadamias, I love pistachios, cashews mmm perfect, 12 volts in there and then you can literally leave drop a box of twinkiesthere, so if you want to keep the twinkies in the box because sometimes it's like being out of sight, out of mind, if you had your twinkies on your lap, which some people like to drive with twinkies on their lap, If they're on your lap, you may want to eat them more often, but you put them on. in there, out of sight, out of mind, in case you get hungry, which happens to me a lot when the gentleman feels the leather.
I like the dark material, like I said, perforated all the way down. Look how soft it is, it's lovely. like they worked with Charmin engineers but it's very supportive, good bolstering and then you get to the bottom with 14 way adjustable seats for the passenger and driver which is great and if you want head room , I'm six feet tall. I always have been since I started traveling with a radio with lots of headroom, we have a full size sunroof and I'm glad they went with the lighter color of the headliner, they open it up a little here but why not coming? athis thick wrapped steering wheel this leather wrapped steering wheel because there are some exciting things happening on the business end alright guys traveling behind the business end you have your two memory seat configurations which is great I like how easy it is The controls reach the seat and are adjustable in 14 directions.
What I like the most is the steering wheel. Honda does a great job. It's a sexy looking steering wheel. It's something you'll hold on to every day, so it better look good and better. I feel good, I like the gray criss-cross contrast stitching all around, just a bit of silver thumb-activated buttons, which are cool, flat black, which will hide fingerprints. You have little silver paddles behind the steering wheel to go up and down. Put down that 10 speed automatic transmission, but I think one of the things I really like is the dash, you have a digital area and then you have the analog digital speedometer in the center and then look at this, you could actually shift if you don't .
I don't want to veer there, we could change that, so you're just going to go through the different settings and you can scroll through, let's say we want range and fuel boost, there it's digital and then when I go into sport mode, look at it shows up. your deal shows the suspension turning red, that means we're bold, we're ready for sport and you've got a good sized head up display showing the technology and then of course you get all of Honda's great sensing technology. to keep you safe, but keep talking about keeping you safe, let's talk about those passengers you want to keep safe but you also want to keep happy, let's see how much room they have in the back seat, how about cool, okay guys, seat time rear and I'm telling you right now, for a midsize sedan, Honda goes big with the amount of space back here.
I feel so comfortable that I actually wouldn't mind coming back here, and I can't always say the same for all the midsize sedans I know. getting into what I like is you get the leather around it, a nice big pocket, put some snacks back in there, you get one of those big whole food chocolate chip cookies or something maybe even like a chip cookie cake of chocolate, you can actually just slide it in there and just break up the pieces and you'll get all weather mats to catch all the crumbs so they don't fall on the carpet.
It's a win-win situation. Talk about the wind. We have some wind blowing. These rear air vents, which are really cool, and you have USB, so you heard Joe Rady on Radius Rides, they gave us USB here. It's crazy to think that the Acura TLX, which is, remember, Honda's premium brand doesn't have those rear USB ports. like you're on this tour deal the material is so soft and then look at this it doesn't stop wonderful look at it look at this armrest it's like you can use it as a trampoline two cup holders it feels great why don't we go?
Go ahead, let's go to the trunk and see how much junk we could put in this 2021 deal. Alright guys, trunk timing is very simple, just press the button, lift it up and have a nice wide opening. You're looking at approximately 17 cubic feet of space in the rear seats. do that 60 40 tango split which is cool but I love how they have a nice deep floor plenty of room makes this a usable vehicle don't go buying an SUV buy one of these I'd like you're going to appreciate it because we're going to enjoy that whole driving experience, the driving feel and if you're ready, I'm ready, let's find out what kind of performance this Honda Accord Touring has, let's test it, okay guys we're on the 2021.
That Honda Accord Touring Sonic Gray Pearl we just left Tampa Honda and we're doing that point of view like Joe Rady's camera angle. I'm going to try to do this a little more whenever I can, but as you can see, I mean like me. he was saying: on the driver's side, the business end is very well designed. I'm going to go ahead and open the tack. I like to see the tack, so, very simple, use that little wheel and now the tack is back, so really, really digging. for all that setup and just thinking that if all vehicles were like that, it would be great to have vehicles where the ease of use to get to that infotainment system is very simple.
I have it in sport mode. I want to show you I'll take it out of sport mode, everything turns green, the attack really changes and now I go back to sport mode and a boost indicator appears, everything is set up there around the tack, super clean feel but great from the direction of the seats . they're comfortable and you know the bolstering could be a little better, especially on the bottom, but I think for the most part, those who are going to drive this on a daily basis it's not like they're going to take corners, but this car does. does. carving corners for a front wheel drive sedan, as I was saying in vir, it takes some really really hot turns to get to the paddles a very short distance, they are on the smaller side and they are plastic, but I think at this price, that's Something is to be expected, but the visibility through the rear glass is excellent, the side mirrors are wonderful and you have that Toyota sensing technology, um, which will keep you safe, as I pointed out, but when you press the start button to access to the different configurations, it is easy to get to. anything in this vehicle and then you have wireless charging under the two USBs and plenty of room for snacks, I mean, as I'm sitting here in this light, if I had some tacos, which I'm hungry right now, I could eat them.
However, a couple of tacos from chipotle can't get the burrito, but the steering wheel has a great tilt and a telescopic steering wheel, of course, and your passengers will be very happy because they have USB behind and AC ventilation, acceleration time, here is where the agreement is. it really does well, especially against the competition, let me slow down a little bit here and then we'll hit the throttle, so smooth and nice shifting from that 10 gear that it's not too unpleasant a noise coming from the engine bay, which is great. and it picks you up and gets you going very very fast like I said compare this to the camry trd you're going to blow the doors off even though the camry trd has that v6 on different tracks and different curvy roads this thing really turns .
It does the business very, very well, but when driving on the highway you do get a little bit of road noise, but nothing so crazy that you won't find it in any competition and I just like how smooth everything is, you're not waiting. to get the boost in, it just works really nice and linear for a turbocharged engine and that's what they did, they detuned it from the Type R setup to give you a little bit of a different driving experience that was more suited for a compact sedan. but I'm going to stop here, it's a little wet as you can see, so this is going to test the limits of traction, but, uh, weird throttle, a little bit of turn, a little bit of turn, the traction control kicks in and we.
I'm sure in a dry setup that would be a little bit beneficial coming out of a corner, but on this wet payout, as you can see, the car actually changed a little bit, um, which you would definitely want to slow down there, but the feeling Steering is what makes Honda all the money. With this arrangement, you get excellent response when you go through the twisty parts once again with the throttle. Good feedback, decreasing radius, one of the things I really just noticed is that when you come out of the corner the transmission is already in a good sweet spot in the gear, so it's not like you're constantly chasing up and down the 10. speed, it really does a great job of giving you the gear based on the speed you're doing and that just shows the hard work and engineering that's been put into the Honda Accord, especially with this 10-speed automatic transmission, but I hope that this has given you You have a wonderful overall feeling of what the car is.
I wish it was a little drier on the roads so I could really show off the handling because that's my favorite part: how well this Accord Touring handles, especially with the adaptive system. shocks, but I'm sure this gave them a good taste and really showed them why this would be the right fit I would buy, but let's go ahead and go back to Tampa Honda and finish this up, so I'll see. in a split second, alright guys, it's been another great day here in tampa honda. I definitely have to thank sam and the rest of the team for giving us access to not only any 2021 Honda Accord top touring with the new wheels and that new paint job that has been. added to the color palette really, if I was going to get a deal like I've been saying throughout this review this would be exactly the way I would option it, I think the color suits a t-shirt, you've got that sporty handle and definitely some performance. which when you compare it to other compact sedans in this class keeps it at the top of the heat, but if you want to continue seeing mid-size sedans that have something extra, leave a comment in the comments section if you are new and about to leave Hit the subscribe button I promise it's worth it Come back for more if you're subscribed Thank you for being part of the booming radio family If you want to help us continue creating great content just for you on the channel, click the link at the description, get some Radius Rise merch, you must deliver it to the queen of the camera and also work with mother nature to stop the rain today has been a total downpour, but Lori contacted mother nature and got it to stop to rain so we can finish this, so definitely show her some love in the comments section because she brings it all and in a big way and as always guys, I'll see you on the next trip.
